Chapter 7
Bathroom, a Wizard, and a Vampire
On some days, visiting one's family can let their parents know that you have truly matured into a young adult. But sometimes, having a friend or more visit your parents' house can lead to a lot of mishaps, or worse forbid them from ever seeing your parents for the rest of your lives. But to Mrs. Kasumi Aono, she was watching a television program about how some teenagers were procreating without the consent of their own parents, and was quite disgusted by what she heard.
"Oh, how awful. Today's kids are so wild," she said as she drank her tea.
Kasumi heard the doorbell ring, and decided to shut off the television so that she could see who it was. When she opened the door, she saw her son Tsukune, and his best friend Yozora standing before her.
"Oh, Tsukune and Yozora. Welcome," she said to them.
"Mrs. Aono," replied Yozora as he bowed respectfully to her.
"Hey mom," added Yozora.
"Please come in," she said.
Kasumi began pouring tea as Yozora had just set his school bag down, near the front entrance.
"A school trip?" she asked them.
"Yeah, Me and Tsukune wanted to see how you were doing on a free day. Sadly though, he didn't mention to you on the phone," said Yozora.
"Oh, thanks Yozora," chuckled Tsukune, but the two best friends exchanged a fist bump with each other.
"Hey, it's cool bro," replied the wizard.
"I suppose you didn't say anything about that. In fact he never called his father or me about it recently," Kasumi said to the wizard.
"Really, I'm sorry mom," Tsukune said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Well, be happy that he's slowly maturing into a fine young man, has a life of his own, and has plenty of friends he's met at school, besides me that is," added Yozora.
"I suppose you're right, Yozora," replied Kasumi.
"But, I will say this. If you and Mr. Aono hadn't met, it would mean that Tsukune wouldn't be born, and that too is a biological fact," Yozora said.
Kasumi smiled at Yozora, and gently rested her hand upon his shoulder.
"You've been studying about many different facts about life, haven't you?" she replied.
Tsukune nodded a bit sheepishly at what he heard. Suddenly the doorbell rang, and Yozora slowly stood up from his seat.
"Ah, looks like someone else is at the door," Yozora said.
"Maybe I should get that," replied Kasumi.
"Actually, I think it'd be better if I did it. You and Tsukune should talk about what's been going on in life," suggested Yozora, as he hurried to the front door.
Kasumi nodded, and turned to face Tsukune who was drinking his tea. Things seemed quite well suited for him, until they heard Moka's voice saying, "Oh, Yozora!"
Tsukune spat out his tea and quickly rushed to the door. He was surprised to see that Moka had followed them home. Kasumi then followed her son, only to see Yozora looking at Moka in shock and disbelief.
"Oh my goodness, who is this gorgeous girl?" she said.
Yozora rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"Right, Kasumi Aono, this is Moka Akashiya. She goes to the same school as me and Tsukune," Yozora said.
"Wait what!?" cried Tsukune.
"I guess that my visit's a bit of a surprise," she said with a light giggle.
"Yeah, a surprise. Right. Kurumu and Yukari aren't gonna be too happy about this," Yozora said to himself.
Kasumi was a bit confused, but she knew that as a mother, she'd have to deal with Tsukune bringing his first girlfriend to his house.
"Listen, Mrs. Aono, You should prepare some tea for your second guest. Also, stay calm, relaxed, and don't panic about my best friend's girlfriend visiting you. Also, I'm gonna give Moka a brief tour of the house," Yozora assured him.
Kasumi nodded, and decided to prepare some tea for her first guest.
"Uh, good suggestion Yozora," she replied.
A short while after completing the tour of Tsukune's house from top to bottom, they decided to stop at Tsukune's bedroom. But, Moka was curious about his bedroom, and saw that it had plenty of room when Yozora stepped through the doorway.
"Moka, Moka, listen, I know Tsukune's happy to see you taking this one free day to visit his house, but, I have a feeling the rest of our group is probably searching for us," warned the wizard.
"Well, a free day in the human world; it wouldn't be any fun without Tsukune, Yozora," replied the vampiress.
"Yeah, I guess," Tsukune said sheepishly.
"Also, since you met Tsukune's parents before, I've been wanting to meet them myself, for a while now," Moka said.
"Yeah, Kasumi was a bit surprised to see you, after I let you inside and introduced you to her," replied Yozora.
"You don't think I'm imposing on your family, am I? That might explain the way she reacted," the vampiress said with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"No, she was just surprised at how beautiful you are, that's all," Tsukune said with an embarrassed grin.
"You're both just being nice. Look, I need to be honest with the both of you. I was worried that if I let you come home all by yourself, you'd decide to stay here, and I'd never see you again," Moka said with a sad smile.
"Now hold on for just a minute. There's no way I'd let my best bro Tsukune do something like that to you," Yozora said as he gently rested his hand on Moka's shoulder, and sat on Tsukune's bed.
"Yeah, there's no way I'd ever do something that cruel to you," agreed Tsukune, but suddenly Moka stumbled back on Tsukune's bed, and her head landed safely on Yozora's lap, when the wizard noticed something underneath the covers.
"Aw nuts!" said Yozora.
"What's wrong?" asked Tsukune and Moka.
"Looks like the gangs' all here," answered Yozora.
To their surprise, Kurumu suddenly rose up, and pulled the covers off her.
"Hey, you guys!" she said happily.
"Oh no. Hi Kurumu, what are you doing here?" Tsukune asked in a deadpan tone.
"Oh, I'm sorry for falling asleep on your bed. It's just super comfy," she said with a goofy smile.
"Yeah, obviously. But the real question is, why the hell are you here in Tsukune's house?" Yozora asked as he was about to pull his wand on her.
"Easy, Yozora. She may be our friend, but you shouldn't violate Yokai Academy's Prime Directive. Besides, you do have Ruby on speed dial, if things start to go wrong," Tsukune said to him.
"Yeah, I wanted to come home to surprise Tsukune. When Moka said that he was heading home with you, I thought it would be faster to get there before you both did. I figured that I could meet up with his parents. Then, we could have a bit of fun together," explained Kurumu as she clambered off the bed, and stood up.
"Well, that's the bad news," replied Yozora, who had his thumb pointed towards Moka.
"Uh, hey Kurumu," she said nervously.
"Aw, man!" groaned the succubus, when they heard the cabinet door opening.
"Aw, geez louise. I must have fallen asleep whilst hiding inside here. Also, hey Yozora, I was wondering if you and Tsukune could spend some time together," said Mizore.
"I think it's a little late for that," replied the wizard.
"Hi Mizore," Kurumu and Moka said in a deadpan tone, just as the window opened.
"What's up, guys? You home now?" asked Yukari.
"Yes! Yes! I'm home, but what are you guys doing here!?" cried Tsukune.
All four girls were shocked to see each other in the same room. But Yozora had an idea.
"Listen, Yukari, you, Kurumu, and Mizore better not make Tsukune's mother start to become judgemental about what he's been up to in his bedroom with all four of you. Now, you may want to take cover, while I talk things over with her," Yozora warned them.
"Roger that, Yozora," the three of them said, and quickly jumped out the window one at a time, so that Kasumi would not be suspicious about what Tsukune was up to.
Kasumi walked calmly and carefully with a tray of tea cups for Tsukune, Moka, and Yozora. She knew that Yozora was right about Moka being a good person, and that while Tsukune was slowly maturing, he still had a small bit of naivety about him. She soon opened the door, and saw the three of them together.
"I brought tea for the three of you," she said as she stepped in.
"Thank you, Mrs. Aono," Yozora and Moka said together.
"Yeah, thanks mom," added Tsukune.
But while the wizard drank his tea, something snapped within him.
"Oh right, We have more friends on the way, so you may want to prepare more tea for them. Oh and one of them prefers to drink iced tea," Yozora said.
"I see, well, thank you for letting me know, Yozora," she replied, and soon walked down with him.
"Also, they're names are Kurumu Kurono, Yukari Sendo, and Mizore Shirayuki. Both mine and Tsukune's relationship with them is on friendly terms, but once you meet them, then you'll be willing to welcome them to your home," explained the wizard.
"Right, well, I've been watching a show called, 'When Hormones Attack.' And I just wish to inform you if Tsukune has had any physical relationship with Moka, he'd be in really deep trouble," she said in a serious tone.
"Then you can consider me warned," Yozora said to her.
Outside on the front doorstep, Kurumu turned to her friends with a disappointed look in her eyes.
"I'm guessing that since we're students at Yokai Academy, Tsukune never told his mother that we're actually monsters in human disguise, whilst Yukari and Yozora are on the bridge," she said.
"Yeah, if we told them about it, then we'd all be in serious trouble if the news scared them all to death," added Yukari.
"Maybe it would have been better if we never came here in the first place, and just headed back to school instead," finished Mizore.
"No way, we must act like civilized ladies if we're to gain the trust of Tsukune's parents," Kurumu said with a determined smirk.
"Yeah, let's do it!" agreed Yukari.
Soon Kurumu knocked on the front door. When it opened they could see Yozora with a serious glare in his eyes.
"Good, now follow my lead," he said.
"Yes sir," the three girls said.
Once they stepped inside, they knew that they had to keep up the act for as long as possible, or else they'd all face Ruby's wrath.
"Mrs. Aono, The rest of mine and Tsukune's friends are here!" Yozora called to her.
"Be right there!" Kasumi called back.
At last she arrived.
"I'm Kurumu Kurono, this is Yukari Sendo, and this is Mizore Shirayuki," the succubus said as formally as she could.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all," replied Kasumi as she shook their hands.
When Tsukune came down stairs, he was a bit relieved to see Yozora with them, as he led them to the Living Room, as he told his mother that he would be taking a shower. Yozora decided to take a bath insead, which Mrs. Aono nodded with a hint of understanding in her eyes. After a few seconds, they had managed to remove their clothes and keep their thoughts to themselves.
"I know it's tough, being the most unlucky guy to have all of those girl's following you around all the time. But don't you worry about your mother. I was able to explain things to her in a calming manner about the rest of our motley crew," Yozora said as he decided to relax in the tub.
"Yeah, I hear you. But I'm also happy that you're able to talk things out with mom about how I'm not some crazy lunatic who has any type of physical relationship with them. But at times like this I just gotta keep my head on straight. I need to stay calm and think about things more carefully," replied Tsukune, as he turned off the shower head.
"Guys, you mind if I come in?" came the sweet sound of Kurumu's voice.
"Sure go ahead," Yozora said.
"Okay, but first, I need Tsukune to stay calm, so that I can talk with both of you," she replied.
As soon as she stepped in, Yozora saw that she was wrapped in a towel, but still kept neutral about it.
"Listen, I've been wondering, is there some kind of problem with me being under the same roof with you guys?" she asked.
"No, it's fine," Tsukune said with a small hint of nervousness in his voice.
"Perfect, So I guess you won't mind if I join Yozora in the tub do you?" she asked him.
"It's no trouble, but just make sure that you don't get carried away. I might ask Tsukune to get my wand, so that he can send out a flare to let Ruby know that we might need a quick one way trip back to the school," Yozora said.
Kurumu sighed disappointedly, but understood what he meant as she removed the towel and sat down behind Yozora.
"I want to be with Tsukune, and I want to be more than just his friend. But, I'm torn between about being with either you or him," she said, as she pulled the wizard close to her and held him close.
But then Mizore rose up from the water and was surprised to see her friend making sure that Yozora was quite relaxed.
"Wow, I had no idea that succubi could feel conflicted about which guy they wanted to be with for all time," she said.
Tsukune was about to panic, when Kurumu placed a finger to her lips as if to tell him not to panic.
"Yeah, but still, Kurumu's a good girl. Sure she may have a tendency to be flirty, but she's still our Eye in the Sky," Yozora assured the snow angel.
"Well, at least like Kurumu, I'll stop at nothing when it comes to love," replied Mizore.
"What do you mean?" asked Kurumu.
"It's about what Yozora said to my mother about our future together," she said.
"That's right. And about what I said to Tsurara, We swore that we'd take care of you and Kurumu," Yozora said, as he gently took the snow angel's hand.
Mizore was surprised by his gentle touch, but smiled at him.
"Mizore, about you and me being a couple," Yozora started to say.
"Yes?" she asked.
"I'm not exactly stealthy and sneaky like you and your mother, so I can't observe what's going on in the shadows, or in plain sight. But I can promise you this. From now on, I will work hard to be better. I want to prove to you that this wizard can be worthy of you, and have you by his side, forever, no matter what. And I want to be there by your side too. Because, I really love you Mizore, more than anything. I lost something that was important to me once. And I don't want to feel the same kind of loneliness you felt. So that's why I'm gonna stay at your side. And you'll do the same, right?" Yozora said near tears.
"Of course I will, darling! Yozora, it's because you're not like that pervert, Mr. Kotsubo, is the reason why I started to develop feelings for you! I don't care if you aren't as stealthy as me or my mother, the only thing I care about is you! You are brave, kind, caring, and special! There's nothing I'm gonna want more than you! And if we, if we do have kids someday, you'll be a great father!" Mizore said as she wept tears of joy.
"Thanks Mizore," Yozora said happily.
Mizore then pulled out her lollipop, and gently placed her lips on Yozora's lips, as they held each other close. Kurumu and Tsukune were so happy by this moment, that they started to cry tears of joy, as the two lovers pulled apart and looked deeply into each other's eyes. But when Yukari was about to stop Mizore and Kurumu from flirting with Tsukune, she was surprised to see that two of her friends were crying about what they had seen the wizard and the snow angel confessing their love for each other.
"Oh, I'm sorry," she said, bowing to them, and walked out, closing the door behind her.
She slowly walked away with an embarrassed look on her face, when she saw Mrs. Aono talking to her husband on the phone. Yukari decided not to tell her about what she had just witnessed, and told her that Tsukune and Yozora were doing just fine.
"I know it's a bit strange, but our son brought his first girlfriend home. Also, Yozora has introduced me to the rest of his friends, who go by the names of Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore," she said as calmly as she could.
"Don't worry sweetheart, you just take it easy, and everything will be fine," replied her husband.
"Okay, I'll see you back at home," Kasumi said, and hung up the phone.
She saw Yukari sitting quietly on the couch, and wondered what was up with her, until Yozora arrived fully dressed after his refreshing bath.
"Is something wrong, young lady?" Kasumi asked the witch.
"If it's about what you saw, don't worry about it too much," assured Yozora.
"Yeah, everything's gonna be fine," added Mizore, who was also dressed in her own clothes.
"Well, Okay, but don't interrupt me while I'm talking. I was going to check if Tsukune and Yozora were doing all right while they were freshening up, but then I overheard Yozora and Mizore confessing their feelings to each other. And the scary part is, I saw both Tsukune and Kurumu weeping tears of joy for them," she explained.
"I don't think it's scary for people to cry tears of joy for their friends who love someone they've just met," Kasumi said as she patted Yukari's shoulder.
"Yeah, everything's gonna be fine," agreed Moka, who sat down next to her.
They soon heard Kyoko Aono stepping inside to see what was going on.
"Hey Auntie, I came over to say hello!" she said.
When she stepped inside, she suddenly heard Kasumi, Yukari, Moka, and Mizore having a friendly conversation about what she had witnessed.
"What's going on?" she asked.
"Something so wonderful, it made me and Tsukune feel happy and sad at the same time. We saw both Mizore and Yozora confess their feelings to each other," Kurumu told her.
"Aw, that's so sweet," Kyoko said blissfully.
"Yeah, it sure is," agreed Tsukune who was also dressed.
Kyoko was a bit surprised at first to see Kurumu, Mizore, Yukari, and Moka, when Yozora showed up now back in his clothes.
"Actually, it's true," he admitted.
A short while later, Kyoko stood before Tsukune, Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore, while Yozora made sure Kasumi was taken care of as they gathered in the living room.
"Okay, so let me get this straight. You're telling me that Tsukune brought his first girlfriend home, and for whatever reason these three other girls followed him to the same address?" asked Tsukune's cousin.
"That's pretty much the gist of it, but Moka followed us home, because she wanted to meet Tsukune's parents. Unfortunately, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore were able to reach the place before they did so that they could, how you might say, take a more stealthy approach, rather than the direct approach," replied Yozora.
"Yeah, something like that," added Tsukune.
"Well, as the big sister type, I'm surprised that Tsukune's growing up," she said.
Kurumu was about to tell Tsukune that she didn't know Tsukune had an older sister, but Mizore stopped her from talking by placing her hand upon her shoulder and shook her head slowly.
"Thank you, Mizore," Kyoko said.
"You're welcome, please continue," replied Mizore.
"Listen, Kyoko is actually my cousin, but since our houses are so close together, she and I basically grew up like regular siblings," whispered Tsukune, as Kyoko continued her explanation.
"As for how Tsukune and I met these girls. Well, that story would take way too long to explain, and it would be a huge waste of time, so I'll give you the short version. You see, When we first met Moka Akashiya, Kurumu Kurono, Yukari, Sendo, Mizore Shirayuki, and Ruby Tojo, it was during our first year at School. And ever since our first encounter with them, they've become the closest thing we have to a second family at this school," Yozora explained.
"A second family?" asked Kasumi.
"Yeah, our familial bond is what ties us all together," replied the wizard.
The four girls were a bit surprised by this, but they knew that Yozora was telling the truth with any signs of hesitation or deviation.
"Also, since three of them are like Tsukune, the fourth actually started to take a liking to me when we went on our first date at School. However, to make sure that Moka, Kurumu and Yukari don't let their infighting over Tsukune get the better of them, I've decided to take on the role of social moderator to see that they don't incur your wrath, Mrs. Aono," he explained firmly.
"Uh, yeah something like that," added Kyoko.
"I see, but what about Tsukune?" asked Kasumi.
"Not to worry, ma'am. Kyoko and I can agree that while four of these girls are willing to protect Tsukune, we've come to agree that while he acknowledges them as close friends, they are very understanding, he's unsure which one of who his true girlfriend really is due to his naivety," said Kyoko.
"So start talking, because Kyoko deserves a straight answer from each and every one of you, individually!" Yozora added, almost sounding like a drill sergeant.
"Well, I know that even though I'm always wrapped up by how Tsukune's heart is mine, Yozora decided to name me the Eye in the Sky," explained Kurumu.
"As for me, while I acknowledge Tsukune as a friend, Yozora helped me out of the darkness when I was most alone. He even went so far as to say that I had the potential to be an undercover journalist for a special police force in the human world after I graduate," said Mizore.
"When Yozora told me about his past, I could see that it was quite similar to my own. But even though Tsukune was concerned about my safety, It's all thanks to him that I'm like a little sister to both of them," piped in Yukari.
"Yeah, I guess," Moka said dejectedly.
But Tsukune gently placed his hand on Moka's shoulder.
"Listen Kyoko, I can't decide on just one of them to be my one true love. But, just remember that you can't force a decision on me about who my true girlfriend really is. Even though I'm not brave or strong like any of them, I trust them all to watch my back in case of any dangerous ne'er do wells that might give me trouble," explained Tsukune.
"I see, then I guess I've got no choice but to plan a contest," said Kyoko.
"You gotta be kidding me," muttered Kurumu.
"Ooh! Is it a fishing trip?" asked Yukari.
"No, I want to see who makes the best sandwich," said Kyoko, as she led them to the kitchen.
"A sandwich? You expect us to break our backs over a sandwich?" Kurumu asked with a disgruntled look in her eyes.
"Oh, not just any sandwich," Kyoko said ominously, as she pulled out all the ingredients to make different kinds of sandwiches.
"The best sandwich that Tsukune likes," she added with a crazed grin.
"Uh Kyoko, Mrs. Aono knows how to make sandwiches for-" Moka was about to say, but Kyoko was holding a bulb of garlic in her hand which made her shudder at the sight of it.
"Us," she finished in a deadpan tone.
"Now I think we finally understand each other. Only one of you must make a sandwich that Tsukune likes so that he'll be yours forever," Kyoko said with a crazed grin.
"Uh, Moka, could we have a word with you?" asked Yukari, as she took her friends aside.
"But have you noticed that Tsukune's cousin has gone completely insane!?" shouted Kurumu.
"What do you mean?" Moka asked nervously.
"Just look at her," whispered Mizore.
They looked to see Kyoko weeping in front of a tombstone with the words, R.I.P. Tsukune Aono.
"Oh my gosh, she's lost something that's very important to her. Haven't you-?" Moka tried to say.
"Look again," interrupted Kurumu.
Moka saw that Kyoko was now laughing maniacally and began removing her jacket to play jump rope with it.
"You're right! How do we get out of here!?" cried Moka.
"If we're real quiet, we can sneak to the front door and leave," whispered the succubus.
"Okay," said Moka.
"Ready, go!" whispered Yukari.
But the four girls ran screaming to the door, and were about to race out when they saw Kyoko standing in front of them. Quickly she tied them up in a strong rope that could not be ripped off them.
"Aha! So you thought you could escape from my little contest, did you!? Even after you promised to make a sandwich for Tsukune! I know what you're thinking! 'She's just a crazy yandere! Let's just leave Tsuki at home, he'll never miss us!' Well it's not going down like that! There's only one use for a bunch of losers like you! And that's playing a racing video game with Yozora!" Kyoko said in a more unhinged tone.
"You're crazy! If you think that playing video games with Yozora on Tsukune's PS4! What makes you think that we'll be considered pro-gamers to him!?" snapped Kurumu.
"Oh, you'll see what happens after you play Star Wars Episode 1 Racer with him," Kyoko said in a dangerous tone.
"Oh come on Kyoko! You know just as well as I do that, none of these girls have played a video game with Yozora!" protested Tsukune.
"Now hold on a minute Tsuki! Just because they haven't played a video game, doesn't mean they're willing to learn the ropes," Kyoko said with a crazed look in her eyes.
"Listen Kyoko! We've all known Tsukune for a long time even after we met him! So we know what we're talking about when we say, 'YOU ARE COMPLETELY OUT YOUR MIND!'" screamed Yukari.
Even Kasumi was a bit worrred about her niece when she was about to start the PS4, when Yozora stopped her.
"That's enough Kyoko, I think the only way to settle this is with my own hands," said the wizard.
"Okay, what do you have in mind?" asked Kyoko.
"Just watch," he said with a smirk.
He extended his arms to either side, and decided to have everyone sit down so that they could watch him carefully. Then he clicked his fingers and the sound of music began to play around the background, as Yozora started to sing to Tsukune.
"I see misunderstandin' but it's up to you
These days it's not in fashion but it's up to you
Each time we use a credit, well it's up to you
How long can we support it, well it's up to you
Don't care what you say, don't care what you do
You're leavin' it up to me
I know what you say, know what you do
You can have it your way
I know that it's commercial but it's up to you
They say it's got potential but it's up to you
Each time we get together, well it's up to you
I know I'm gettin' hungry but it's up to you
Don't care what you say, don't care what you do
You're leavin' it up to me
You can take a chance, you can change it 'round
Like you did the last time
I know what you say, I know what you do
You're tryin' to make it too
Try to understand, it's the long way 'round
And we're buildin' up energy"
Yozora then summoned a violin to his side and began playing it vigorously upon it as he reached the solo, which caused the girls to start grooving to the music, while Kasumi and Kyoko watched in awe and amazement.
"I see misunderstandin' but it's up to you
These days it's not in fashion but it's up to you
Each time we use a credit, well it's up to you
How long can we support it, well it's up to you

After he finished his song, Kyoko decided that it was time for the girls to explain what their greatest features were. As the girls explained what was their most defining feature, they ended their explanation by saying that they were proud to be the closest thing they shared was their strong connection to Tsukune and Yozora, who informed their parents that they too were also connected to him.
"Huh, I never would have guessed that you've formed such powerful bonds with people like them, Tsuki," Kyoko said.
"Well, you can thank Yozora for making sure they are kept in line by going full drill sergeant on them," Tsukune replied, with a slight chuckle.
"Well, to a lesser extent, there were some mishaps last year. But anytime Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore were about to have at it with each other, I had to make sure that they didn't let their infighting lead to some serious disadvantages, that could be." He paused dramatically. "Exploited," Yozora finished with an ominous smirk which made all four of them quiver in fear.
"I see," said Kasumi.
"But aside from that, Yukari told you about how Yozora and I confessed our love for each other. However, that one detail that she forgot to mention was that, if the both of us would have kids of our own, he'd be the greatest father among many fathers in the world," explained Mizore.
"Sadly that's also an important fact," Yozora said.
"But what about your parents Yozora?" asked Kasumi.
"They're with me, in my own heart. I just wish, you guys could have met them if things had worked out differently for them," he said sadly.
Kyoko was also shocked by this, as were the other girls, but Kurumu placed her hand on Yozora's shoulder.
"Hey, don't feel bad. Tsukune and I are both happy for both you and Mizore. I too can see you as a great father to her children," she said.
"And in my time of experience, Tsukune would always tell us to put our behind in our past," chimed in Yukari.
"Uh no, Yukari, that's not it," Tsukune said.
"Yeah, lie down before you hurt yourself. But what she meant to say was you gotta put the past behind you. Bad things can happen to anyone and we can't do anything about it," Kurumu assured him.
"Right," replied Yozora.
"But if the world starts to turn it's back on you, you feel like turning your back on the world will make things better, but you need a better lesson. Something like Hakuna Matata," piped in Kyoko.
"What's that mean?" asked Yozora.
"Hakuna Matata in Swahili means, no worries," Moka said.
"Oh, of course!" Kasumi said excitedly as she clapped her hands.
Soon Tsukune stepped forward and began to sing.
"Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase," sang Tsukune.
"Hakuna Matata, it ain't no passing craze," sang Mizore.
"It means no worries, for the rest of our days," chimed in Kurumu, as she took his hand and led him to the living room.
"It's our problem free, philosophy," sang Moka and Yukari.
"Hakuna Matata," finished Tsukune.
"What's Hakuna Matata?" asked Yozora.
"Why it's our motto," said Mizore.
"What's a motto?" Yozora asked.
"Nothin', what's a motto with you?" Yukari asked, and everyone started laughing hysterically.
"Trust me, Yozora. Those two words can solve any problems," said Mizore.
"Yeah, take Moka for example. Why, When she was a little girl," sang Tsukune.
"When I was a little GIRL!" Moka sang operatically.
"Very nice," Kyoko said as she rubbed her ears.
"Thank you," replied Moka.
"She found that her time at a lot of schools, led to lots of people turning their backs on her," sang Tsukune.
"I'm a sensitive girl. Although I seemed unsure. And it hurt, all the people I saw were cruel. And oh the shame!" Moka sang dramatically.
"She was ashamed!" piped in Yukari.
"I thought of changing my name," Moka sang.
"Oh what's in a name?" asked Mizore.
"And I got downhearted," sang the vampiress.
"How did you feel?" asked Kurumu.
"Every time Kokoa would-" Moka was about to sing that when Tsukune ran in front of her.
"No, Moka, not in front of Yukari!" cried Tsukune.
"Oh, sorry," she said sheepishly.
Yozora looked at Kyoko in confusion.
"Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata, it ain't no passing craze," everyone sang as they danced about.
"It means no worries, for the rest of your days," sang Kyoko.
"Come on Yozora, sing with us," called Kurumu.
"It's our problem free, philosophy, Hakuna Matata," they sang together.
Soon they left the house, and began to walk through the city streets until they came to a cafe in Shibuya.
"Welcome to Shibuya!" Tsukune said to everyone.
"Wow! This is awesome," Yozora said excitedly.
"Yeah, it's got anything you could ask for. Also, home is where the heart is," added Kurumu.
"This is pretty sweet," Yozora said with a grin.
As they walked, Yukari's stomach started to growl.
"I'm starving guys," she said.
"I'm also hungry. we should have some food together," Yozora said.
"Yeah, let's go get something together," smiled Moka.
"Let's go to that cheeseburger place Yozora and I visited last year," suggested Tsukune.
"I've never had cheeseburgers before, but it should be an interesting experience," said Mizore.
"Well they start as frozen patties, but once their grilled, they can be cooked from rare to medium, or to well done," explained Kyoko.
"Ah here's the restaurant, Yozora and I visited!" called Tsukune.
"Whoa, is that?" asked Kurumu.
"Yep, it's the restaurant Tsukune told us about," said Moka.
"I think it's called Fuddruckers," said Mizore.
After they ordered their food, it was soon picked up by Kyoko and Kurumu, and brought back to their table.
"Dig in everyone," she said.
"Oh yeah, this is great," said Tsukune.
"It really is," added Moka as she popped a french fry into her mouth.
"These are foods humans make. Some can be spicy, and some can be normal," explained Tsukune.
"I'm sure you'll like it," added Yozora.
"Wow, even though we're on a school trip, We still have to follow some strict rules, but it helps us make our bond stronger. After all, no worries, right Yozora?" said Kurumu.
"Yeah, Hakuna Matata," he said and raised his glass over his head.
"To family," said Tsukune.
"To family," said his friends.
Soon they drank down their individual drinks and finished their meal. Behind them, Ruby Tojo watched them all quite happily.
"Huh, this is a rather interesting story for Gin to write down," she said, as her friends walked out of the restaurant and out into the park.
Soon the six friends were now walking and dancing across the pathway of the park, and chanted Hakuna Matata with each step. Then Yozora stepped out as his robes flared out behind him.
"It means no worries, for the rest of your days," he sang.
"It's our problem free, philosophy," sang everyone else.
"Hakuna Matata, oh. Hakuna Matata, yeah. Hakuna Matata, oh yeah. AH! It means no worries, for the rest of your days," sang Yozora.
"It's our problem free, philosophy. Hakuna Matata," they all sang together.
"Hakuna Matata, Hakuna Matata, Hakuna Matata, Hakuna Matata," sang Yozora.
"We say, 'Hakuna!'" Yozora, MIzore and Kurumu said.
"We say, 'Matata,'" Tsukune, Moka Yukari, and Kyoko said back.
"Hakuna Matata, Hakuna Matata!" they all sang together, until they all lay on the grass laughing.
Suddenly, Yozora belched loudly, and the sound echoed everywhere.
"Wow, nice one Yozora," said Moka.
"Thanks. Man I'm stuffed," he replied.
"Same here, I feel like a happy pig," giggled Yukari.
"Well, at times," murmured Kurumu.
"Maybe," she said.
Soon they all took a deep breath, and exhaled quietly, but then they decided to head back to the Tsukune's house, where they hoped Kasumi would be in a better mood. But on the way back Kasumi was relieved to see them all safe and sound, when Moka stepped up and greeted her with a bow.
"Hey, Mrs. Aono," she said.
"Oh, Moka, you and the rest of your friends have returned," she said.
"Please forgive us. We all barged in unexpectedly, and almost caused you a great deal of trouble since our arrival. I swear. I never intended for any of this to happen," she said somberly.
"It's all right, Moka, but what are you exactly?" asked Kasumi.
"Well, what I'm about to say to you, you must swear an undying oath of secrecy, and not tell a soul about what you hear," Yozora said.
"I swear it on the blood of my family," she said.
"We're actually monsters from Yokai Academy, while your son is just a normal human being. As for what we are, Moka's a vampire, Kurumu's a demon, Yukari's a witch, Ginei Morioka is a werewolf, Ruby Tojo's also a witch, Kokoa is also a vampire, and I'm actually what you call a Wizard. We're in the school newspaper club, the same club that Tsukune's a part of. And while many of us have a great time together, we're what you'd call your son's second family. As for our teenage lifestyle, while it's natural to experience these feelings, just remember that those people you've probably heard about on the TV are much more vile and worse than what we are in real life. But if you wish for all of us to leave this house and never return, then we'll take full responsibility for our actions, and let this lesson you taught us serve as a permanent example of our failure," Yozora said.
But Kasumi smiled and hugged Yozora, making everyone surprised.
"Actually Yozora, I'm so proud of you for being honest. It's almost as if I wished my husband and I wish we had a son like you in our family. And I couldn't be more proud of you if you really were my second son," she said.
"Thank you, Mrs. Aono. And I too am proud to be Tsukune's best friend," replied Yozora.
But the moment was interrupted when Kokoa suddenly emerged from behind them with her Kou-hammer held at the ready, and charged right at them from behind.
"No, Kokoa, Stop!" cried Moka.
"Are we REALLY Doing this again?" she demanded.
"I wish you'd understand. There's no way we'll let you kill Tsukune!" Moka tried to explain.
"And I wish you'd understand who you're talking to! I am Kokoa! Why would ever let you fall in love with human trash like Tsukune?!" she shouted furiously.
"Because you're not allowed to kill-" Moka almost said, but Kokoa punched her hard in the stomach and lunged at Tsukune who ran for his life, making Yukari rush to her side and heal her with her magic.
"Ugh, you pushed the Tsukune button. you shouldn't'a did that," she said.
Yozora then took his friends with him and aspirated out of sight, to trace Kokoa's movements. They saw him grinning maniacally at Tsukune who was cowering in fear.
"Well, well, well… At long last, I'm going to make sure that your connection to my sister is broken," she said with a crazed look in her eyes.
"Kokoa you gotta stop this! What would Yozora say if you killed me!?" Tsukune asked her.
"I don't know. But I do know that killing you will bring me pleasure that I've not felt in so long. But I should warn you- I'm going to finish what grandfather started long ago, and slaughter all of humanity," she said in a dark tone.
"That's enough!" came a voice from nearby.
"Oh, Yozora. Time to pay you back for that beat down you gave me," she said.
"Funny you should mention that, I've been waiting for a chance to take you down in Moka's stead," replied the wizard, who smirked at her.
He lunged furiously at her, but Kokoa dodged and weaved past his attacks with careful precision and coordination. Quickly grabbing his arm, she flung him up into the air, and punched him hard in the jaw, forcing Yozora to backflip and land in a crouch.
"Ha! First blood. You may as well give up now, an-" she was about to say, but Yozora began levitating away from her.
"God damn it, I was kidding!" she shouted, as she charged after him.
On the Tokyo Expressway, Two people were driving peacefully on the road in an eighteen wheel truck when they heard two pairs of feet on the trailer roof.
"What now Josh?" asked the driver.
"Well, you're not gonna believe this… I see two kids fighting on top of the truck!" said Josh.
"Huh, that is weird," replied the driver.
Back with Tsukune and his friends, Kurumu gently helped Tsukune on to his feet, but was ashamed of letting Kokoa hurt Moka severely.
"I can't believe Kokoa found us that easily," she said.
"I know, normally she's hell bent on killing Moka, but now she's hell bent on taking Tsukune's life and turning his bones into a trophy," replied Yukari.
"I'm so sorry Tsukune, it's our fault we came to your house unannounced. You have every right to make us know our place," Moka said sadly to him.
"No Moka, you know that's not true. I'm glad that you all wanted to come visit me and my family. But if I wanted to put you all in your place, I'd have to be more like the other you," Tsukune said.
Back on the Highway, Kokoa was destroying many road vehicles with her Kou-hammer without even thinking about the number of fatalities she was causing, while Yozora dodged her attacks. She lunged at another car Yozora was standing on, but slammed her morning star through the roof.
"I will kill as many people as I have to as long as you are one of them!" she shouted furiously, and as the other car smashed into a wall and exploded.
"Look, it's Yozora!" called Kurumu.
"So wizard, are you done running?" she asked.
"I don't know, is your mouth?" Yozora asked back.
"Well aren't you fucking clever. But wait! I have a retort," Kokoa said with a cocky grin.
Suddenly a truck came up from behind Yozora, but Kokoa charged right at him, and smashed the truck to bits instead of him.
"This is getting out of control!" Mizore said.
"Hey be honest, is this just a little kid thing?" asked Yozora.
"You talk a lot of shit for a Harry Potter Wannabe. And no, I'm not just saying that 'cause you're a wizard. I'm saying it because you're a-" Kokoa said.
But Yozora interrupted her with a blast of wind magic that forced her back.
"You know what? Just for that… I'm not gonna take it easy on you any-" she tried to say, but was soon flung towards another abandoned house, until she smashed through it's wall.
"Kokoa, are you in there?" asked Tsukune.
"Did anyone get the license of that bastard?" she asked.
"Nope," Yozora replied.
"You okay in there, Kokoa?" asked Kurumu.
"Eat a dick!" she shouted at the succubus.
"Oh, okay, she's good," she said, as the younger vampiress walked out.
"Oh, thank goodness you're okay, Kokoa. Listen, Ruby's gonna be really disappointed in us for violating a lot of school rules," Moka said.
"Are you kidding me? I have Yozora right where I want him!" snapped Kokoa.
"Do you really live in your own little world?" asked Tsukune.
"Yes. But unfortunately, I have to share it with all of you," she said.
"Actually, Kokoa, you're not sharing anything with anyone. You two seem like you're having fun, So i'd hate to interrupt, but if any of my friends decided to jump in and help Tsukune's mother, father, and cousin by protecting them, I will personally introduce you to my swords. And trust me, your relationship will be interesting," said Mizore, who stepped forward with her ice blades held at the ready.
"Can we stop talking about Tsukune and Moka for just a MINUTE!? I mean, for God's sake, they're both around each other even when I try to kill either of them!" shouted Kokoa.
"Sad thing is, she's not exactly wrong," said Kurumu.
"Now if you'd like to continue this fight, I can finally get around to dismembering you! You smug Prick," Kokoa said, causing everyone to look in shock and dismay at what she called their friend.
"Yup," sighed Yozora, and charged right at Kokoa with a powerful kick to her face.
But Kokoa recovered quickly, struck the wizard in the back with both hands, and sent him crashing into another abandoned house.
"Let's see how you handle my KOU-HAMMER!" she screamed, and charged right at him, smashing him hard into the ground causing a dust cloud to form around them.
Once it cleared, Yozora's robes were in tatters, and his uniform covered in dirt.
"Does that ruffle you wizard?" she asked.
"You've managed to destroy my favorite, slash, only set of robes, and dirtied my uniform. So, yeah. 'Ruffled's' a good word," Yozora said, as he drew his wand and sword.
"Well, that was only a taste of my strength. Now experience my SUPER VAMPIRE WRA-" she screamed, but was cut off by a multitude elemental spells from Yozora's wand, which sent her crashing into a pile of old cars.
"How quickly bravado goes out the window when you're flat on your ass. That's pretty sad," Yozora said as he walked towards her.
"Sad for YOU!" she shrieked loudly as she charged at him again, but saw the silver-haired Moka landing between them.
"Ugh, god damn it Kokoa! How many times do I have to put you in your place!?" she shouted furiously, and kicked her sister right in the elbow, causing the bones in her arm to shatter.
Then Kokoa stood up and glared at Yozora.
"If you think breaking my arm was enough to defeat me, Yozora… I'll show you how wrong yo-!" she shouted, but Yozora grabbed her other arm.
"GAH! GODdammit, wizard, would you let me finish a god damn senten-" she shouted furiously, but Yozora flung her towards Moka who kicked her down to the ground.
Kokoa however managed to get back up and change her Kou-hammer into the Kou-sword, and swung it furiously at Yozora.
"Element of Surprise!" she shouted, but Yozora dodged it and kicked her hard in the chest.
"Ughhhh, why do I yell things?" she groaned.
"Hey Moka, who's got two broken arms and is a total bitch?" asked Yozora.
"You stupid bastard… You only broke one of my ar-" Kokoa said.
"My stupid sister!" Moka replied, with a smirk, and crushed the bones underneath her foot.
"Huh, how about that, she's gonna start calling it quits, for now," Yukari said.
"Yeah! And unlike you, she needs a lesson in humility. And I taught her humility," replied Moka.
"But it looks like Ruby's gonna be pissed as hell when she finds out, so I'm gonna ask her to let us off the hook with a warning," said Yozora.
"Yeah, that seems fair," Kurumu said sadly.
"Also, one more thing Tsukune. Because of your indecisiveness that brought this about, and that's okay for now. But one of these days, you'll have to make that difficult choice Tsukune. That time is slowly approaching, to choose who will be your destined partner for life. You must choose wisely, or you too, shall know your place, by my hands," Moka said darkly.
"Yeah, you tell him sis," Kokoa said hoarsely.
"Silence, Kokoa! Or do I have to break your legs!?" barked Moka.
"Yeah, sorry for butting in sis," she said with an adoring smile on her face.
"If you cannot make that decision, then you will forever remain a sad lonely little boy forevermore. Don't ever forget that, or else," Moka said to Tsukune as she glared furiously at him.
"I understand. More than you realize, I understand, the difficulty of making that impossible choice," Tsukune said, as he dropped to his hands and knees, while Yozora picked up the rosary and tossed it back to Moka.
"Thanks," she said with a satisfied smile.
"You're welcome," Yozora said.
The next morning, Ruby arrived to have everyone be picked up and return to school, after her brief chat with Yozora, about their next visit to the human world going off without anymore incidents that Kokoa had managed to pull during her time.
"Very well, I'll consider the warning I'll give all of you and ensure that your passes to the human world will be validated," she said to him.
"Thanks Ruby, you're the best," Yozora said as they shook hands with each other.
Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore also stepped aboard, with a look of disappointment about what Kokoa had done, while she was taken aboard the Yokai Ambulance, to the school infirmary.
"Hey, listen. We'll be back, Mrs. Aono. We promise," Moka said to her.
"Yeah, I'll see again if we do go on another field trip in the future," added Tsukune.
"I'll look forward to your return as well," replied Kasumi.
"And don't you worry about Tsukune. Me, Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, Ruby, Mizore, and all of our friends at school will be there for him, just like how he's there for us," Yozora said with a thumbs up.
"Thank you Yozora," said Koji, as he shook hands with him.
Then the three friends stepped onboard the bus, but Yozora decided to relay one more piece of information to them.
"We'll keep in touch," he added to them.
"Hope to see you again soon," replied Kyoko, who waved at them as the bus lumbered away.
"Hey, Yozora. Thanks for asking Ruby to let us off with a warning," Kurumu said as the wizard sat down with Mizore.
"Yeah, even though Ruby's very strict about staying true to Yokai Academy's prime directive, I'm actually happy that you asked Tsukune's mom to swear an unbreakable oath of secrecy," added Yukari.
"Even though most of the blame is on our hands, I guess Kokoa deserved a massive beat down from both yours and Moka's hands," finished Mizore.
"Anyway, hey Moka, what'd you and Mrs. Aono talk about?" asked Yozora.
"Oh not much, Just the fact that I can handle myself against a bunch of crazed ne'er do wells," Moka said with a shy smile.
"Well, unless it's your other self who does the dancing with those kinds of guys," admitted Tsukune, which made Moka giggle.
"As for what happens now, we'll just have to wait and see," she said, and began ingesting some of his blood.
Back in the house, Kyoko sat down on the couch, and looked blissfully at the ceiling.
"Ah Yozora, you really do remind me of Tsukune," she said to herself.
"I hear you," said Kasumi.
"Oh by the way, When Yozora said that he was a wizard, do you think that he might be the type of guy who protects Tsukune from anyone that could bring harm to him?" asked Kyoko.
"Of course, as for the other girls, they are also nice and even acknowledge both Tsukune and Yozora immensely," replied her aunt.
"Yeah I guess, but I hope they're doing okay at that school. But I feel like checking out the school for myself if I get the chance," she said with a determined smile.
But when the doorbell rang, Kasumi decided to go see who it was.
"Hey, you must be Tsukune's mom, right?" asked a manly voice from outside.
"Why yes indeed. I'm Tsukune's mother, Kasumi Aono," she said.
"Hey auntie, who are you talking to?" asked Kyoko, but suddenly trailed off at his handsome face.
"The name's Ginei Morioka, but you can call me Gin," he said.
"I'm Tsukune's cousin, Kyoko. Nice to meet you," she said in a hesitantly flirtatious tone.
"Huh, you know you could be an excellent model for a photoshoot I may plan later on at Yokai Academy," he said in a suave tone.
"You really think so?" asked Kyoko.
"Of course," grinned the werewolf.
In the Yokai Academy Ambulance, Kokoa lay on the cot as the medics made sure, as her eyes slowly fluttered open.
"Ah good to see you've awakened, Miss Shuzen," said a doctor.
"We deeply apologize, but your pet bat suffered some serious injuries," added an ambulance operator.
"It's all right. He can take a beating," she replied.
"If you call that taking care of your pet. The human organization PETA would have no alternative but to have your bat sedated and put to sleep," said the doctor.
"You know I could probably kill all of you and I wouldn't give a crap about it," Kokoa said as she was given human blood to get her fully healed.
"Yeah, but that still wouldn't get your bat back," replied the doctor, as he watched Kokoa drinking the fresh blood from a vial which had been kept refrigerated.
Once her arms were fully healed by the effects of the blood, Kokoa stood back up as her bat landed on her shoulder.
"Tell me something: Which is your favorite internal organ?" she asked.
"What an odd question! But if I had to choose, I guess I would have to say my liver," said the doctor, as Kokoa stalked up to him.
Then she plunged her hand into the doctor, and ripped out his liver. After that, she killed the driver, jumped off the ambulance, and managed to land a safe distance away from it as it collided into another abandoned house, and exploded into a thousand pieces, setting it on fire.
"You know, it's the simple things in life, Kou," she said with a satisfied smile, as she jumped onto her bike and raced after the bus, Moka and her friends were aboard.
"Yeah, you said it Miss Kokoa," replied Kou, as they thundered after Moka.
"But next time, Moka, Tsukune, and all of their friends will already be dead," she said, as her eyes filled with sadistic determination.
