Turn the Lights off

Alfonso watched as five appliances entered. He cringed.

"Do I know you?" Debbie asked. Alfonso backed into a wall.

"Is this the one who stole your motor?" Vance asked.

"Yes, but she didn't have any assistants," Alfonso said.

The silence was uncomfortable, but that's when Layla stepped forward. "Don't we have a client in need of help?"

Rabbit and Amy exchanged glances.

Layla inched forward, clutching a knife.

Rabbit jumped in front of Layla.

"Should we do something?" Aether asked.

Debbie paused. "Let them fight one on one."

Rabbit hopped around Layla, trying to confuse her foe. Layla tried to strike, but Rabbit wrapped her cord around the mad Marigold.

"I won't have you dismantle my housemate!" Rabbit shrieked.

Layla brought the knife down on Rabbit's cord, trying to cut herself free.

"You do realize that's a butter knife?" Rabbit asked.

Layla's eyes darted to the knife.

"Damn it!"

Vance brought some duct tape and he and Rabbit restrained Layla. She'd be put out for trash in the morning.
