Sorry for the long wait, things keep dragging on nowadays. Hope you are well, Conan seems to be better as well.

Time: Sunday 10 am

Place: The Koudo mansion (Living room)

Heiji and Yusaku

"Kuodo-san."

"Yes?"

"Why do ya think my father has forbidden me from investigating Koudo's case?"

"It isn't because it's dangerous right?"

"Nah, it ain't since he never said a word about all the other cases I've been involved in."

"He might know something about the case and knows it will get you in trouble."

"Heh?! But what?"

"I don't think you will listen to your father, so investigate and find out."

"Oh... ok."

"Let's work in it together shall we? We have Conan back, though not fully, but now he can tell us what he knows, right?"

"Yeah. Is he still...umm well a child, ya know?"

"Yes. It's really strange. It might be another side effect from Apotoxin 4869 or the event has triggered the childish side of him. Either way, we need to get rid of it." Yusaku said with a serious expression.

"Maybe there is something good out of it." Heiji said with a smirk.

Yusaku raised an eyebrow " What do you mean?"

"Kuodo always runs out investigating on his own, which of course leads him to trouble. I know he is very cautious but in this situation, it's better to stay on the safe side as he is a wanted victim."

"Hmmm, you are right."

"Are ya gonna visit him today?" asked Heiji.

"I already have but I will again soon. Will you come?"

"Nah."

"Are you hesitant because of your last visit?"

"Y-yeah."

"Don't worry, he is more like himself now. I've already talked to him and it was a lot better. You want to help him, right?"

"Course I do."

"Then you have to come with me."

"'K, thanx."

Heiji and Yusaku have visited Conan and have gained more information from him. It went a lot smoother than Heiji has expected, but there moments where Conan would stay silent or cry from time to time. Heiji was actually surprised how the child was handling things better and there were no sudden breaks of trauma. He was really relieved to see his friend improving.

"What did you think Heiji?"

"Wow... I-, he is doing a lot better. He seems more like himself."

"Yes, and we need to help him recover back to himself fully."

"Has the investigation at the factory begun?"

"Yes."

"Have you found anything?"

" Nothing much, the culprit here seems like he knows his things well. There were small traces of blood which were whipped, most evidence was removed."

"Whose blood was it?" Asked Heiji uncomfortably.

"It has been sent for analysis, so we are waiting for the results."

They won't tell me the information directly, I'm going there!

"Stay safe Heiji, Yukiku is waiting."

"Yeah, see ya."

Time: Monday morning

Place: School

Conan and Haibara

Conan was finally released from the hospital after how long, he doesn't remember. It was, at last, the time where he needed to end this one and for all, but first, he needed to go to school like a normal 6-year-old.

"Finally back, sleeping detective," Haibara said with a grin.

"Oh be quiet, I am no Sleeping Kogoro." Answered Conan in annoyance.

"So how are you feeling?"

"Good."

"Anything else?"

"Well, I do feel a lot more like myself lately."

"That's a good sign. Will you finally talk to us now and let us help you?"

"Out of the question. You are not getting involved with him, let the police do their work."

"Does that mean you have opened up to somebody already?"

"Yeah, my dad and Heiji."

"Ok good. I thought you were going to be persistent in keeping everything a secret forever, you have finally come to your senses."

"Glad I have."

By the end of their conversation, the class was full and the bell was about to ring. All the children have gathered around him to ask him about his long absence, and of course, the detective boys were the first.

Life has been peaceful for the past few weeks, Conan was seen smiling and returning back into himself little by little. Ran was so glad that she could jump over the moon, her little brother like figure was finally better! Her happiness could not be described. Right now they were on their way back home and decided to take a visit to Pairot. Conan was not so keen as he was not sure it was the right time to see Amouro but he couldn't act all suspicious around Ran.

"Oh, konichiwa Ran-san. You haven't visited us in a while."

"Konichiwa Amouro-san. Things have been hard lately, but we are getting better, right Conan-kun?"

"Y-yeah." He answered to a confused Amouro who had a raised eyebrow.

"Well, have a seat." He said with a smile.

"Arigato."

"What would you like?"

"A coffee please, and Conan, an orange juice?"

"Yes."

"Would you like our new special edition cake?" Amoura opened the fridge as he showed them.

"Yes, please. Conan, would you like some?"

"No thank you."

Ran ate her cake and drank her coffee while Conan had small sips of his juice.

"Conan-kun, are you going out with your friends today?" Asked Ran to break the silence.

"Yes. Can I stay at Agasa's today?"

"Ok but be back straight after school."

"Ok."

Conan started to feel slightly drowsy as he waited for Ran to finish her food. Things became blurry and felt funny.

Ale? I can't see well.

"R-ran-neechan, can we go home now?"

"What's wrong Conan-kun?"

"I feel tired."

"Ok, let's go."

Amouro was watching from a distance and squinted his eyes slightly as he noticed Conan's slight change in behavior.

I think I might fall, I need to hurry home.

Ok, as you see, I try to add as many Japanese words as I can. Not too much but just enough to give you an anime vibe. I really like doing that so I will keep going.

If there are any requests, I'm happy to hear them, and of course ideas for my small brain.

Oh also, I would like to know if you prefer longer chapters or shorter ones. I think this chapter was on the short side, so based on this chapter, shall I make them longer or shorter?
