I don't know if this is going to be a specific Hinata Naruto love story but at the least she is a main character with her own plot and path and effects on the world.

With greater determination then she realized she had, Hinata buckled down. From the moment she woke up she began writing down a list of all of the things she needed to do and wanted to learn. For example, she knew that she would take Naruto's advice and train with the Veterinarians since that would give her healing, tracking and better taijutsu and not even her father would question her choice to do so since it would help her team out so much. He might even be proud of her, a doubtful but possible path. And Might Gai would be a great teacher for her to bolster her body so that wouldn't be hard especially with Neji on other missions for the next few months.

But what to do with her clones? She knew how to make Shadow clones, apparently Naruto's seal transferred the knowledge to her mind, but what to do with them?

"The only thing that seems right is to have them learn jutsu and other things... so I guess they can go to the library and read up on other jutsu. I know I have lightning chakra as my affinity and I know how to use water... and fire is the most common in the village... so maybe I can start there? Naruto had a sword with him so maybe I should learn a sword style so I can keep up... I guess I'll have my clone studying a bit of everything so that when I use them to train they will have a group of stuff to master for me."

Satisfied with her list, Hinata quickly got dressed and hurried outside... right after breakfast. Her father was no where to be seen so she didn't worry about anything else. She didn't have any Hyuuga training today, only every other day at the moment, so she didn't have to worry about concerving strength or stamina.

"Wait, that's it! I always complain that the family style doesn't seem to fit... so maybe I could make a version of my own, like I did with the protecting eight trigrams!" Excited, Hinata doubled down on her determination and shot out of the compound with a smile on her face. The moment she found an ally, she summoned her clones drawing from the seal on her shoulder. The instant she saw them, she knew what to do.

"Two of you need to go to the library under a henge, read up on various jutsu. One on random non elemental jutsu and the other on... well stick to fire jutsu for today since we can access more of those right now. The other one go can go find Might Gai and ask him to suggest a better training regimen to work on in secret! Tell him your a clone but beg him to secrecy."

Nodding, her determined clones vanished, running off to obey her commands.

With that, Hinata hurried off to the Inuzuka compound. She had her own goals to accomplish on that, if it worked out, would give her at least a year of time off of her amazing team to train in her new arts. It would suck to lose her team, they were so great to her, but it was worth it to get Naruto to love her!

If only she could find her own goal... one separate from Naruto. That one was the hardest thing to work on... but damn it she would do it!

It was funny watching Jiraiya stumble out, acting like he had a horrible hangover. The seal he had placed on the man had many side effects and one of them was feeling like you had a wicked hangover. The jerk deserved it as far as Naruto was concerned. He hoped he suffered throughout the whole day, especially when it would take a Tsunade level medic to heal the damage. No medicine would work on the man, he was screwed and he deserved it.

Naruto waited until the idiot stumbled back to bed to go out training, leaving his customary ten clones to watch over the man using their newly found sensory powers to ensure he stayed right where he was. Then, new to his clones, he summoned five more clones and had them walk through the town, just listening and getting to know people. His mom wanted to develop his awareness and understanding of people and figured this was a good place to start.

Arriving at his training spot, Naruto summoned his customary clones the added two hundred and fifty more creating an even thousand.

"Alright, I want enough clones to read up on all of the subjects we stole on. When your done poof away for the others to learn. Until then you are all going to just practice chakra control and meditation but the moment your subject is in your head start on it. I want fifty working on water manipulation. Fifty on Fire manipulation. Fifty on Earth Manipulation. Fifty practicing the new chakra control exercises we learned. Fifteen reading the books we stole then another fifteen reading those same books yes including the dictionary once they poof away. The last twenty are to practice the handsign for the various jutsu we are learning. I want the Mystic palm and fireball jutsu to take priority. There... that works...

Now my turn... oh Swordsmen, start using the fake swords on your bodies. We need to get used to wielding a real sword. I will be doing to same myself..."

And so that is what he did, but first he had to go through is daily workout... and that was something to behold by itself..

No matter how painful it could be.

::::

"... that is rather simple." Kurama was sort of pleased as he watched Kushina demonstrate the handsigns for the Seal that would one day release his other half. "So all we need is a sacrifice, the seals to be cast and the right amount of chakra for the jutsu to be cast and I will be free?"

Kushina nodded. "Sorta, yeah. You see you need to absorb Minato's soul and have him transfer your powers as it is still sealed in his soul. I would be prepared for an influx of painful memories as you would have been in Minato as he fought forever in the Shinigami's belly. We aren't sure if time moves differently in that place, no one knows. So just be prepared."

"I will be. Thank you Kushina, I am surprised to say that you have proven yourself quite trustworthy."

The women blushed a little, turning away. "I learned a lot from watching my son's miserable life. I don't want to be the person I once was. If you had children you'd understand..."

Kurama considered her words for a moment. "Perhaps...I do have a question for you. Will you be here for when Naruto fights his Yami?"

"I would like to be, yes."

"In one month, during the next full moon, we will have him fight it. He will have enough understand of the mind by then, or so I hope, that he will understand the weight of what the Yami is and why he needs to embrace it."

"That is my hope..."

"Hello Hinata." Hana's warm face brought a wave of joy to Hianta's heart. The older girl had always treated her kindly, from the moment they met, and never acted as if she was anything but great. It was a rare thing for her to experience, but one she cherished deeply. " What can I do for you, is it Akamaru?"

"No, ma'am."

"I told you not to call me Ma'am, Hana is fine." Hana's frowned at her for a moment, wrinkling the red tattoos on her cheeks. " Now what do you need?"

Taking a long breathe, Hinata centered herself while taking in the Veterinarian's office. It was a simple sterile grey room, with four walls covered in charts, and shelves covered in books and scrolls. Filing cabinets dotted the wall next to a nice redish desk which Hana sat behind, writing away on an important document.

"I would like to become a Vet alongside you." The words were rushed and harsh but she couldn't stop them nor did she want to." I want to be of more help on my team. Sakura Haruno became Tsunade's student, where she will excel in super strength and healing which makes her perfect for her direct combat team. My team excels at Tracking with a Nin dog. Being a vet would give me the power to heal in general, take care of Akamaru and since I hope to get you as a teacher, I would excel at tracking and have better taijutsu."

Hana blinked at her, slow and long before a wicked smile crossed her face. " You really thought about this, didn't you?"

"Not at first, it was suggested to me by a friend... but I realized how useful it would be. I really do want this. My chakra control is in the Ninety Fifth percentile, I have more chakra then average, I have a strong body and I am really smart. I have a great memory...but I need to get better at a crisis and in stressful situations. This will help with that...oh and don't tell my father, but I wanted to incorporate the dodge heavy style of Medical Ninja into my style. I am really flexible and have great reflexes, even my father agrees on that... mixed together it could help me become very powerful and useful to my team. "

And Hinata was proud of that, as she approached the compound, she had gone over why this was a good idea and came up with a large list. Really the longer she considered it the more incredible the opportunity seemed for her. That she had come up with so much on her own only added to her pride.

"Hmm... your not stuttering, your saying that with pride." Hana's smile was motherly, reminding Hinata of better times when her mother was still alive. "I think I have a spot for an apprentice. Tell you what, shadow with me for the rest of the day and we'll see if this is for you."

With sheer happiness, Hinata nodded. "Thank you!"

"Don't thank me yet, you may find that you hate this career."

"Either way it is a lesson learned, so thank you." Hinata wanted to hug the other women but kept her hands to herself, eager to be as professional as possible. "When do we start?"

"Right now, I have to go examine a few patients then we have paper work and two surgeries planned. How are you with seeing blood?"

Gulping a little, Hinata sighed. "Not as good as I could be, but that's part of learning right?"

"It is, I am glad you admitted your faults. Too many would brush it off and then puke when they saw the blood. Work through it, breathe through your mouth and take some ginger candies if you get nauseous. Now, let's go shall we?"

And Hinata followed the women she was shadowing, excited to begin the new path laid out for her.

"""

Hinata's lone clone gulped as it walked towards Might Gai, seeing him talking fervently to Rock Lee and a bored Tenten. She would have waited until they finished but Might Gai seemed to notice her before she could gather her courage, appearing before her in a flash of speed.

"Lady Hinata! How are you on such a Youthful Day!"

She just gaped at him for a moment before sighing. " I came for help... your help, in private if I can borrow you for a moment." She was proud that she had gained so much determination, it would have been impossible to manage such a conversation with this man if she was stuttering the entire time.

His smile was blinding, making her wonder where the heck he got his toothpaste. " That would be fine Hinata." He turned to his team. "Start your training and I will be back in a moment. Tenten, aim for Lee. Lee, dodge her attempts! Show the power of your Youth!"

Tenten finally got a sadistic smile on her face before turning to a very pale Lee. "Run Lee!"

Laughing a little, Gai turned back to her. "Now, what did you need to talk to me about Hinata?"

"I want to improve myself, just as Lee did. I want to make my own style of the Gentle Fist, one that is more versatile and fits my body type and personality. I want to make my body a weapon so that I can actually give my all to my team and to the village. I know you are the best person for this. You turned Lee from useless to a Jonin in all but name with just Taijutsu."

Gai blinked at her, like a giant tiger, before his blinding smile returned. "A wonderful youthful goal Hinata... hmm... I noticed that your body seems smaller then your typical Hyuuga, with a greater flexibility. I would suggest using your feet more as well, it would give you more flexibility in your style since if you take out a Hyuuga's hands they lose most of their fighting potential. I would also rely on more circular motions...

As for your body, I would work on your stamina, strength and speed. Your agility is on par with Neji's, which is saying something, and your flexibility is on a whole other level but your so behind elsewhere you cannot tap into your fullest potential. I would encourage weights on your body and constant training for at least three hours on just increasing your bodies power."

From inside her hoodie, the clone drew out an empty scroll and a pen. "Can your write some down for me?"

His smile was resplendent. " I would be happy too. I will give you some exercises... in fact, I will put a lot of them in water. I heard about those Water needles of your, very creative. Water training is a wonderful way to increase your overall potential."

They spoke for another fifteen minutes as Gai asked her about her current limitations with different workouts. How fast she could run in short bursts and in long term. By the time it was over they had created a massive list for her to work on and even a much different diet of protein heavy foods and a lot of water.

She was nervous but happy to see some genuine progress.

"Thank you for this, Gai Sensei but can you do me one last favor and keep this quiet. I want to prove to my father and Neji that I am capable... I …" She frowned and suddenly she realized that she did have a goal, one that Naruto would never guess. " I want to rematch Neji… and eventually defeat my father. I want to show them that they were wrong to undervalue me...to call me weak and worthless even if they have started to change.

I want to show them all that they were wrong... my whole clan... and if I win I can become head of my clan and stop the stupid traditions dividing us... " her eyes widened as she realized what she could accomplish by defeating her father. "I want to undo the seal, entirely. Gai where can I learn about sealing too, please help me!"

The man was wide eyed, never having guessed that she could all but scream at him. "You... you are really amazing you know that?" He actually hugged her for a moment, to her shock, before pulling back. "There are seals for each rank in the library. I would be careful and never show that you are learning them less you are branded yourself. I have seen it happen to cousins of yours that wanted to undo the seal. I will keep your secret so long as you agree to spar with me once a month to show me your progress so I can help you better yourself. I have faith in you Hinata, and I want to see you succeed. It is time someone has the courage to change your clan... "

"I'll do it too... I will change them." She smiled, standing straighter then ever. She now understood why Naruto had wanted to become Hokage. There was a power in ambition, having a goal helped give a sense of purpose and value. Now her life would have value beyond just Naruto or what her father wanted of her. She would become more then any of that... " Thank you, so much for your help. I cannot believe I never realized it... but that is what I want to do. What I can do. I am in a unique position to help so many people, I never even thought of it.. but that is what I am going to do."

" And I will help you Hinata. As much as I am able and I will tell no one, not even the Hokage or Neji. No one will know of this training."

"Good... they need no warning before I defeat them and undo the evil destroying so many innocent lives."

Power surged in Hinata's heart, shifting through her and changing something deep inside her soul. She wouldn't realize it yet, but for the first time in her life, a spark of independence and self love had come into being. This would one day become a roaring fire that would light her way as she walked the path she chose not the path everyone else demanded she walk. Not even Naruto would get to decided where she went... one day it would be all her, all the time and no one would forget her name.

For she was Hinata Hyuuga and the world would hear her roar.

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

Yes I went with the cliché goal for Hinata but I love that goal and rarely see it actually fleshed out just mentioned. I figured the power of that goal would, like with Naruto and Sasuke, elevate Hinata to a vastly different level of power and skill and really make her a dangerous force to be feared and reckoned with.

Love, your Ninja Overlord,

Mika.
