AN: Hello all of you lovely people. I just want to say that I'm disappointed that the only reviews I get are from readers that gloss over things and just comment to say shit or to comment something completely different from the story. The review system is to input what you like about the story or what I can improve about it, not what fills up my half of the review box.Either way people wanted to see what is going on in Remnant so I will do that. Please note that this will be the only type of chapter like this because there really isn't much else I can write after this as the timeline would have already been changed. Anyways I hope you enjoy.

Ozpin was currently sipping his coffee with a shivering hand as the matriarch of the Arc clan was currently staring him down with a greatsword pointed at his neck. The traitorous Goodwitch ditched him the minute she heard that June was arriving. The rest of the staff are teaching their classes so he was in this alone.

Ozpin steeled himself and was about to talk until he heard, "You say one word and you will pray to Oum that they will be able to put you back together after I'm finished with you."

He clamped up and rethought his life and decisions leading up to this point.

This was only the beginning of a long domino effect that spiraled out of control. First the council postponed the Vytal festival until who or what caused the disappearance of Mr Arc was caught or terminated. Many of the first year's parents unenrolled their kids from Beacon. Lastly there was a shortage of applicants entering the next school year out of fear that they might encounter the same fate as Mr. Arc. So much for it being an interesting year.

He feels like he's forgetting something but can't put a finger on it.

Grrrrrrr

Ah yes the force of nature that was June Arc, matriarch of the Arc clan. Honestly what was he thinking enrolling Jaune in.

Ozpin was cut out of his musings when he heard the elevator ding. He looked past the raging arc and saw Crow and Ironwood exit the elevator. Ozpin quickly got up and greeted his guests, this angered June.

When Qrow and Ironwood saw June they both started to walk back into the elevator and Qrow was furiously pressing the close door button.

Ozpin started running and jumped to enter the elevator. June reached out to grab him but missed by a hair. Ozpin landed in the elevator when the door just closed.

The three men could hear the rampage that ensued as June pounded her fists on the elevator door demanding that Ozpin returned that instant. The three men were sweating bullets.

As the elevator was descending they recomposed themselves. Qrow spoke up, "Hell of a way to start a meeting." As he took a drink of his flask.

"Indeed," responded Ozpin, "Were you able to find any more signs of the thing that took Mr, Arc and where he could possibly be?"

"I'm afraid not Oz, it's as if the thing took the kid and packed its shit and left."

Ozpin was not surprised and just sighed as he rubbed his face. He then turned to face Ironwood. "I wasn't expecting you to arrive, what brings you here?"

"I came to talk about the Vytal festival," He said sternly and calmly. "Is there any possibility that we can sway the council's decision on postponing it?"

Ozpin sighed and shaked his head, "I'm afraid not. The council is as stubborn as they are cautious. They are afraid that whatever took Mr Arc will attack again at the Vytal festival and take not only huntsman but also civilians."

Ironwood nodded, understanding that the council can at times be hard and frustrating to work with. Then spoke up, "It's hard for the council to understand what we do but that's what you get when the council glorifies a profession that has a high mortality rate.

What I don't understand is why this disappearance specifically. Many huntsman go missing but why this one?" Ironwood asked.

"It's because the way Mr Arc disappeared is unknown," He rubbed his brow exasperated, "The only clue we know of Mr Arc's disappearance is that his weapons were found leaning against a tree and when his team checked on his aura meter it said unavailable."

"Couldn't it have been a glitch?"

"Highly unlikely. The aura meter is the only thing that would continue to track even if the scroll is damaged. We couldn't even a single footstep or mark that indicated that he ran away from something or was picked up by a grim. It's as if he vanished."

Ozpin then turned to face Ironwood, "That is why the council postponed the festival. Until we have confirmation that the creature is gone or we found Mr Arc. The latter seeming more unlikely as time goes on."

"And now the only thing you can do is wait?" Ironwood asked.

"I'm afraid so." Ozpin answered.

"This is one long elevator ride."

Ozpin and Ironwood looked over at Crow as he just drank more out of his flask.

Ozpin then shrugged. "I never inputted a floor number."

The door to the elevator then opened. June was nowhere in sight. They all breathed a quick sigh of relief and entered.

"Hey Oz," Ozpin looked at Qrow, "How'd you do it?"

Ozpin raised an eyebrow but then understood, "Simple, I made her think we left and so she must have gone down in the second elevator."

"How?" Asked Qrow.

"I had a system that displays the elevator going down but it actually isn't. I use it when Glynda wants me to do paperwork." He said smugly.

Ozpin walked over to his desk and sat down, "Now then, I believe there is another reason for why you're here James."

"Yes, I want to go over some new defenses for both Beacon and Vale." He pulled out his scroll and gestured to connect it to Ozpin's scroll. Ozpin raised his hand, "No need to show me. Explain what you have in mind, I'm all ears."

Ren was walking towards the training rooms to find and try to get Pyrrha to come out and eat as a team, or what's left of it.

He rubbed his face, 'It has been a month since Jaune disappeared, the fallout is as one could expect.

Pyrrha shut down and entered a form of depression, she's now only found in the training rooms or with her team when it's time to eat, sleep, or do schooling.Nora stopped being as eccentric as she was, she would try to act but Ren knows that Jaune's disappearance reminded her of when she lost their home.I got upset, not at Jaune but at myself. I-I should have been there to look out for him. I should have done something.' He sighed, 'Now I'm starting to sound like Pyrrha. I can't think like this, I have to be the rock that keeps this team together. That's what Jaune would do incase anyone of us disappears.

Ren quickened his pace to find Pyrrah at the train centers. He just hopes that today will be easier to convince her to go.

Like I said this chapter isn't supposed to be long just inform us on somethings that have been going on in the world of RWBY.I will see a lot of these complains so let me explain now.1) The reason I didn't show team RWBY's reactions is because at this point in the story of RWBY only Ruby has had much interactions with Jaune.2) To clear things up this is after the forever fall arc.3) The story is behind the RWBY story line, so the main story will be playing catch up.4) I will update my older chapters don't worry, looking back I feel they were rushed and the idea wasn't explained that well.Other than that stay safe and Happy New Year! :)
