Chapter 8
Toby was driving the town car with Clare in the backseat. Clare was feeding Alin and Alexandria. Toby took a breath as the rv stopped at the church were sophia might be. Clare looked at her Katana " I will , go with jim , watch the kids Toby Pie " She said leaving the kids on the backseat. Clare looked to Jim , Angor , Dictatious , Barbara and Lori. Clare noticed Jim was still holding Toby's warhammer . " Um , Jim , Blinky explained you have always had the armor and never left the amulet of daylight in the hospital " She said.
Jim took a breath " its simply Clare , I think I only should use it in case of emergencies " He said. Clare nodded readying her sword opening the church doors. She looked to Jim as they entered the church. Clare checked the left side of the church and noticed It was empty. Jim finished his side as Angor , Barbra , and Lori entered the church.
" All clear , Otto was right people were here but they are long gone " He said noticing Blood. Angor caught Jim and started crying noticing the one who shot him. Clare gave a look of calm down to angor . She ready her sword " You two idiots , shot my friend be grateful his boyfriend hasn't given into any dark impulses " She said. The two waved their hands " We are sorry , but we know a doctor , He can help " Both guys said.
Clare nodded as Angor carried Jim to the Rv. Barbra had a look of fear on her face as Lori hugged her and helped her to the Rv. Clare got in the car and smiled at Alin and Alexandria and picked up her son and daughter. Toby looked at Clare and noticed a look of worry. " Clare , what happened " He asked. Clare sighed " Jim was shot again but the ones who did it know someone who could help " She said.
Clare noticed her children started to cry. She smiled " Don't worry uncle jim , will be just fine " She said. Toby noticed the farmhouse and all the land. He noticed and stopped the town car. He noticed Barbra and angor carrying Jim to the houses door. The two daughters , looked at Jim. " Will Get Hershel , our dad " both said. Clare walked over holding Alin and alexandria. Hershel looked at Jim " bring him inside quick " He said.
Angor and Barbra nodded carrying Jim to the second floor bedroom. Clare noticed Chris's friends doing farm chores along with steve and Eli. Maggie looked at Clare and her children " Are you a new mom " She asked. Clare nodded " I am , the one on my left is Alin , my son and on my right is Alexandria , my daughter and Toby the one still sitting in the car is there dad " She said. Maggie nodded " if you wondering Eli and Company help with chores in exchange for food " She said. Clare nodded noticing Rick and everyone having a meeting about what happened. Clare took a seat on the decks steps as did Maggie. " So was , Jim shot before " She asked. Clare took a breath. " Yeah , when all this started " She said. Maggie had questions but stayed silent.
Meanwhile Hershel was removing the bullet with barbra's help. She was worried about her son but stayed calm. Angor was waiting outside the room. He paced around the hallway , worried. He stared at the clock and heard a scene outside. He looked out the open window and noticed , Clare , Maggie , Rick , Carl , Toby , and Daryl near a well. He headed outside and looked to the group. " What happened " he asked. Rick nodded to Angor " A walker got in the well and we are trying to get it out safely , to not contaminate the water " He said.
Carl looked up and heard a cough behind them. The group turned and noticed Chris give a signal to Aja , as the ufo used the tractor beam to get the walker out of the well. Clare crossed her arms. " Chris , where have you and Aja been " She asked. Chris sighed " keeping an eye on Aracida Oaks and Gunmar " he said. Toby patted Chris on the back " Welcome back , by the way " He said. Chris nodded noticing the smell of cigars on his breath.
He gave a mean glare " you should not smoke , Toby its bad for your health and you have two kids to help Clare raise " He said. Clare laughed as the tractor beam , placed the walker down. Chris sighed as the walker tried to run towards them and split in half. " Too much time in the water " He said as the half of the walker crawled back into the water. Maggie sighed " Chris , Can you go dig a new well " She said. Chris nodded taking Toby's hand. " You can come and help " He said dragging him away.
Aja landed the Ufo and exited with Luug. Clare smiled " welcome back , so Chris said the two of you were keeping an eye on Gunmar. Aja stretched her arms " We were , Clare by the way where is my brother " She asked noticing Steve. She blushed and ran and hugged Steve. " Aja " Steve said as he kissed her lips. Clare smiled holding Alin and Alexandria.
Meanwhile Barbra exited the room after the bullet was removed. She smiled as Strickler handed her a bottle of water. She took the bottle and finished it in one gulp. Strickler took a breath and hugged her " So , how is Young Atlas " he asked. Hershel left the room " Jim is asleep now , and most likely will recover " he said placing the bullet in the trash. , She kissed Strickler's cheek. " Its wait and see but I am sure Jim will survive for his friends and family and lover " She said. Strickler smiled " I am sure your right Barbra , by the way Chris returned along with Aja and Luug " He said.
Barbra nodded " I am going to get some rest and find Angor " She said. Strickler nodded " Angor was watching the bullet be removed " He said. Barbra nodded " We know and placed a basket over Angor's eye " She said. Angor reentered the house and walked up the stairs. He took a breath " Barbra , can I see Jim " He asked. Barbra smiled and looked to Hershel. Hershel nodded fine " one condition " Barbra said. Angor hugged Barbra " come get you , when he wakes up " He said . She punched Angor arm " correct " She said leaving with strickler. Angor entered Jim room and held his hand " wake up , soon " he said kissing Jim's cheek.
