CHAPTER – 9 – Suspicions and The Threat!
I'm back readers with another chapter in addition to 'Defeated Strikes Back', and let me tell you the fanfic is turning out as I've expected. The last chapter was the best till now in my opinion, the original plan was that instead of Ritchie I'll include Sawyer, but at last I settled with Ritchie as he'll be a more versatile character and I needed versatile character, and if anybody wants to know more about Jason (My OC) you are free to visit my profile page, and assume Jason wears clothing like Hilbert not Nate. And Shane, I've added your vote for the 'Other Type of Advanceshipping fanfic' which is not an Ash betrayal fanfic. This chapter will start just where the last one ended. So get ready to read.

After explaining the things to Jason and Ritchie and chatting a bit the group decided to head towards the opening ceremony of the Master's Tournament.
"Hey Ash, how would you deal with the others knowing that you're back, I mean other your rivals and friends." Asked Brock to.
"Yeah Ash, he's got a point." Agreed Celemont, while the others nodded at what their friends said.
"Geeeeeeeettt aaaaaassssssssiiiiidddeeee oooooorrr I'llllllll fffffiiiiiinnnneeeeee yyyyyooooouuuuu" came a voice that before anyone could say anything else. "Hey isn" before Dawn could say any more, that person bumped into Ash and his hood uncovered his face then he felled down with the person.
He still wears that cloak because he doesn't want people to see his Aura Guardian clothing and he still wears the hood because , now that's like his personality, and he doesn't want people to know him till tournament starts, cause he's not the happy go lucky child anymore, over the three years he has changed a lot, now he hardly talks, and is not at all very much friendly to people beside his group, cause he doesn't trust people anymore, he hasn't spoken a word to May since the day he realized he still loved May, what can he do he has too much pride to admit it.
"Barry….." said Ash while standing.
"Ah…M…..A…A...ASH IN THE NAME OF DIALGA YOU'RE ALIVE! OH MY ARCEUS! Well, wait….how can I forgot I saw your name in the matchups, anyways WHY? HOW? And WHERE? Have been you bro. NoNoNoNoooo, wait now we have the opening ceremony, let's go there, then you can answer my question." Said Barry almost as fast as he runs.
Everyone tried to process what information they had been given.
"Sure why not." Said Dawn as she was the first one to understand what Barry has said.
"Ok let's go." Said Barry as the group began to walk towards the stadium where opening ceremony was to be held. Paul was irritated that Barry was walking alongside Dawn, close, too close in his opinion.
"Dude, you don't have to kill him with your stare, don't worry he'll not steal your girl." Whispered Gary into Paul's ear, so that only he could hear, as the others were busy in their own conversations, Delia was telling Ash to be friendlier to others, Jason and Ritchie were talking about statics in battling, the two Pikachu's were discussing something of their own, Lucario was quite and seemed to think something whole time but nobody knew he was in a mental conversation with an invisible Mewtwo, Iris seemed to talk with Serena about something, Misty was chatting with May who seemed to steal glances at Ash, Max and Bonnie were talking about who knows what but they both steeled glances at each other and blush time to time, and finally there were chefs of the group, Brock, Cilian and Celemont, who were discussing about cooking. Paul gave Gary another of his famous death glares, who responded with his signature toothy grin.
When they entered the stadium along with other numerous trainers, coordinators, gym leaders, frontier brains and elite 4's, they all received applause from the whole crowd. At the stage were standing Mr. Goodshow and Scott with the microphones and besides them were the champions of Kanto, Jhoto, Hoeen, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos, they were Lance, Will, Steven, Cynthia, Hilda (Who succeeded Alder because of his age a year ago), Diantha.
"Good evening folks, today I Charles Goodshow and my co – organizer Scott welcome to the decades biggest annual tournament the MASTERS'S TOURNAMENT, the rules and prizes were mentioned earlier only so I'll wish you best of luck in the tournament, and now I'll like to give the Microphone to Scott." Said Goodshow as he handed over the microphone to Scott, the crowd applauded for Mr. Goodshow.
"It's my pleasure to welcome all of you here to the MASTER'S TOURNAMENT, me and Mr. Goodshow have spent hours to handpick the best trainers, and coordinators in the world. I'll like to request all the participants to leave the battlefield and go and sit in the participants stand for the Exhibition battle, and after the battle is over you can move to the party hall, the same goes for the champions. Said Scott as all the participants emptied the battlefield and the audience roared in the name of battle. Once the field was clear Scott decided to speak again.
"The battle will be 1 vs.1 with Mega evolutions allowed, now the persons who are going to battle are the Kanto Ice Queen , Lorelei from Kanto Elite 4 and…the trainer who mysteriously disappeared for three years…..Ash Ketchum." Said Scott, the audience, trainers, coordinators, elites and the champions gasped, no one speaked as Lorelei and a man with all black cloak with a Pikachu on his shoulder and a Lucario besides him took their positions, when the man removed his hood, everyone went mad, they were shouting cheering for the trainer who disappeared three years ago.
"This will be a 1 on 1 battle between Lorelei of Kanto elite 4 and Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town." Said The Refree.
With the Group –
"We'll enjoy this match, very much." Said Jason, everyone nodded. "I'LL LOVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPNES; I JUST HOPE THAT ASH IS ABLE TO GET A FEW SCRATCHES ON LORELEI'S POKEMON!" Shouted Barry, the others faked a smile, he obviously didn't know about Ash's strength.
With the Champions –
"Oh my Mew, the Ash's back!" shouted Lance.
"This battle will be interesting." Said Cynthia, others nodded.
With the Kanto frontier brains –
"Oh my! The kid came back after all." Said The Palace Maven Spenser. "H..H..His….thoughts…a..and….mind…t..they…a.. …filled….w…with….p..pure…..hate…a..and… ." said a completely stunned Salon Maiden Annabel.
"Something is off with him, we must talk with Scott and other brains who know about him, this is very strange." Said Pyramid King Brandon.
"Nothing adds up, The rumors of his death, disappearance, how no one was able to track him, wait…wait how he has a merging system and MOSTLY IMPORTANT, how he got the invitation, we must talk with him and Scott, I have a feeling Scott is hiding something big." Said Factory Head Noland.
"You're right, We should find Lucy and other brains and talk to Ash…..something big had happened." Said Brandon.
In the battlefield –
"I not plan to go easy on you Ash." said Lorelei as she tossed a Pokeball in the Air and came out a Glaceon. Ash said nothing but tossed a Pokeball and came out a Shiny Dragonite.
"Are you serious?" asked Lorelei, Ash just smirked.
With the Group –
"A cool Dragonite but Ash is in a serious disadvantage." Said Ritchie, and the others agreed.
"I hate that cold Pokémon, Dragons will conquer." Said Iris. Jason raised an eyebrow, and Cilian explained how Iris hates Ice and Fairy type Pokémons, in which others chuckled and Iris pouted.
With the Champions –
"What a Dragonite!" said Lance, completely awestruck. "You should also see that he's at disadvantage." Replied Hilda, others nodded and Lance kept starring at the Shiny Dragonite.
With the Frontier Brains –
"A Shiny Dragonite, they are more rarer then some of the Legendries!" said Noland stunned. Others were equally shocked to see the Shiny Pseudo – Legendary.
In the battlefield –
"Glaceon VS Dragonite began." Said Refree.
"Glaceon use ice beam." Shouted Lorelei.
"Extreme Rush" said Ash as Dragonite dodged the Ice beam with Dragon Rush and Extreme speed combined.
"What?" said a confused Lorelei, once Dragonite hitted Glaceon, it was on the ground one meter back, struggling to get up. "GLACEON!" shouted Lorelei, worried for her Glaceon.
"Finish this, hyper beam." Said Ash as dragonite ruthlessly fired the deadly attack at Glaceon, who was ordered by Lorelei to dodge it but was it was too late, the orange beam contacted with the ice type eveeolution and smoke covered the field. Once the smoke cleared, Glaceon was lying on the ground fainted with cuts and brushies all over her body.
With the Group –
"Oh My Arceus! Ash is a ruthless powerhouse!" said Barry.
"I wish I do not face him in the tournament." Said Ritchie.
"He has became very strong, defeating….correction – Ruthlessly crushing an elite is not a small thing." Said Gary, others nodded.
With the Champions –
"Oh my! That Dragonite…What power, he destroyed Lorelei in seconds, he can be a challenge, I knew Ash would become a strong trainer but…..this….is " said Lance.
"You should not talk that lance; Lorelei is your elite only." Said Will. Lance scratched his head.
"Ash has changed….changed very much….he just gave his Pokémon orders ruthlessly without a care that what happens to his opponents Pokémon, the eyes which was always filled with warmth and passion but now…..they are cold and lifeless, something has happened to him and we must find out." Said Cynthia with a frown.
"I agree with Cynthia, the tale his friends told the media that he just left because someone mocked him…..this is just, WHO will believe this? Ash is one of the calmest and focused persons I've met, and I even watched his last match, he'd also given his best and almost taken out his opponent, so WHY he'll just leave like that and come back with this cloak and cold thing and literally destroy his opponent without giving them a chance to stand up." Said Steven.
"I've only met him once but I can tell you both that you're right." Said Will.
"I think we should talk to them, this power, the sudden disappearance, and most importantly look he has a merging system, the last time I saw him he didn't used mega evolutions and you can't access them without applying a request to the league and that needs your Pokedex and why couldn't anyone track him till now, even he had a tracking device on his Pokedex but according to G-men tracking team his last location was the forest, this all makes no sense cause when the G-men search team went there all those years to the spot they didn't find anything and most importantly how did Mr. Goodshow find him and invited him?" said Lance.
"We'll find out." Said Cynthia, before eyeing the battlefield.
With the Frontier Brains –
"Oh My Arceus! He…he…you're right Annabel, he's not the same, he's no mercy, this is very strange." Said Noland."Let's go and find the others." Said Spenser and they left to search the other brains.
At the battle field –
The audience were pin dropped silenced, digesting what just happened, then one started to clap followed by a loud, very loud standing ovation applause.
"G…..G…Glaceon ….i…is u…u…unable…t..to..b…battle, D..D…Dragonite ..w..wins…which means the winner ….of...the …battle is Ash Ketchum from Pallet town.
In the trainer stands -
"You've became stronger since last time Ash, you never fail to impress me, I should train more now." Then the man turned away walking back smirking, he was no other then mysterious Grey.
In the battlefield -
"You were great Glaceon." Said Lorelei as she recalled her Pokémon and by the time Ash has recalled his Dragonite and walked out of the field, towards the trainers stand, from where the trainers will head to the party.
"You've changed Ash…." said Lorelei before she started walking towards her fellow Elites her head hunged low in shame over the humiliating defeat.
Ash started walking towards his friends and 'her'.
On an unknown Place –
"Dr. George, Dr. George….I've some freaking excellent news!" said a unknown person. "You very well know that if it is not a good news according to me you'll die here in seconds, cause you've just disturbed me in my study, now tell!." Grumped a man in lab coat.
"Yes sir….., the news is that the experiment 20509 is almost complete, now we only have to install the set of commands you've prepared, once it's done, we can open the vortex's with our experiments – 891978 and 112984 and with fusion 7896, and the mission have entered stage2 now we just have to create an army of 20509 and other789 codes, and within three years we've the control over Dark Auras, and that will start our project – New world." Said the grunt.
"HAHAHAHA, truly excellent news, you've a promotion from my side now go I've to inform the boss and others." Said the lab coat man.
With Ash and the group –
"Dude was that very necessary to humiliate Lorelei in front of everyone you could have gone slightly easy on them." Said Gary to the approaching Ash.
" FIRST – If you want to be the best…show no mercy, SECOND – Never go easy on your opponents, always fight with full power. THIRD – It shouldn't matter whom you opponent is…always do your best to mentally defeat them first then defeat them in reality…be ten steps ahead your opponent, you'll only become the best if you follow these things while you treat your Pokémon as your family, these are some must things I've learned in these years." Said Ash calmly.
Most of them didn't wholly agreed at Ash, May who was acting tough, like it didn't matter to her but inside she was punching herself for making Ash like this. But they decided to stay quiet and everyone walked to the party lawn, the other participants were also going there.
"So Ash, what exactly happened? I am greatly confused and I don't believe the Tarous-shit media said, and how the no one was able to find you, but then how did you got invited?." Asked Barry.
"We don't believe the media either." Came a voice from there backs.
A double cliffhanger! And a big one this time, Barry is introduced in the chapter, the Frontier brains and Champions have big suspicion, who are those unknown people, and how was the battle, what do you think about it, a OP Shiny Dragonite, cool isn't it? Who is this Grey? but let me tell you he'll be a very important character in future. And what do you think am I improving as a writer? Has my writing improved compared to the first chapter? And now as the fanfic has gotten its direction, many of you must had been figured out that the fanfic is more complex then it looks and it will be a long one plus I'll try my best to come up with another update before my exams start but I can't have any promises.
