Hey guys sorry if the updates for this come slow. I kinda either have something else going on, am busy, or forget. Mostly the last one.
Chapter Eight
Lila grinned as She; Adora; Catra; Glimmer; Bow; Mermista; Sea Hawk; and Frosta all sat in Darla, flying towards somewhere that had not been disclosed to the seven-year-old.
She bounced on Adora's lap as the ship landed. "Where are we? Where are we? Where are we?" She squeaked.
"Before we tell you, we want you to do as we say and not run." Said Catra, as the door opened.
Lila nodded, and ran outside.
They came across a small lake.
"Uhh..." Said Lila, confused. "What's going on?"
"Lila..." Said Glimmer. "We are gonna teach you how to swim!"
Lila looked and felt gobsmacked.
"NO!" She screamed, running for it.
Needless to say, she didn't get far.
"Now, Lila. You need to learn how to swim." Said Catra, sternly.
"No, I don't." Said Lila.
"Yes, you do!"
"No, I don't!"
"Yes, you do!"
"No, I don't!"
"Yes, you do!"
"No, I don't!"
Adora intervened. "Lila, you are going to learn how to swim, and that's final."
Lila pouted. "Fine! But let me get changed behind those bushes!" She demanded, pointing.
Catra sighed. "Fine."
Lila disappeared behind the bushes. "I'll be out in five minutes!"
...
Ten minutes later, the adults were getting suspiscious.
"Why's she been there too long?" Asked Frosta.
Catra sniffed the air. "Here's a better question. Why is her scent getting further away?"
The Princesses (and Catra and Bow) peered over the bushes, to see an abandoned bathing suit, and footprints leading far, far, away.
Glimmer sighed. "I'll go get her." Before teleporting away.
Catra pinched the bridge of her nose. "I can't believe I fell for that. I spent three years lying to others."
"She takes after you, then. I'm not that good an actress." Replied Adora, smirking.
"Wow, I had no idea." Remarked Mermista.
At that moment, Glimmer returned, holding a struggling Lila under one arm.
"Let go! Let go! Let go! Let go!" Squealed the child.
Catra took Lila, and brought her behind the bush. "Be five minutes."
...
Seven minutes later, Catra came out, with a bruise or two on her face and arms, holding a sullen-looking Lila.
"Miss me?" She asked.
The gang surrounded her, escorting her to her watery doom.
Frosta got an idea. "How about this, Lila. Instead of swimming, I make you an Ice slide instead." She asked, winking at the others.
Lila's ears perked up. "YesYesYes!"
Frosta made an ice slide, and helped Lila onto it.
"Ready?"
"Yipeeeeeee!" Cried Lila, as she was pushed down.
Frosta, acting quickly, used her ice magic to redirect the slide into the water.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Screamed Lila, as she realised what was happening.
SPLASH!
Lila Scrambled to her feet.
She blinked. "Hey, this isn't so bad!" She remarked.
Adora waded over. "Right, now you can paddle, let's learn how to swim."
...
It was getting late. Lila was doing the breaststroke, along with everyone except Catra, who lay on the bank, relaxing.
Lila swam up. "Mamma! Look! I can swim!"
Catra smiled. "That's nice sweetie."
Adora was smirking.
Catra gulped. "What's with the dumb smile?"
Suddenly, she heard the familiar sound of Glimmer teleporting behind her.
Glimmer Grabbed Catra, and teleported into the shallow water.
"GAAAH!" Screamed Catra, and she scrambled to the shore.
Everyone laughed at Catra's misfortune.
"C'mon, Mamma! You can swim too!" Cried Lila.
Catra grit her teeth. The tortures she had to endure...
...
Catra sighed miserably as she and the others walked back to the ship. "I am never doing that again."
"Oh, yes you are!" Teased Sea Hawk.
"C'mon, Mamma! For Me?" Begged Lila from Adora's shoulders, doing what everyone called the 'Kitty cat eyes' which was basically puppy dog eyes.
Catra groaned "Fine. For you."
"Yay!" Lila jumped from Adora's shoulder's to Catra's, making them both giggle.
As They boarded Darla, Lila fell asleep on Catra's lap.
They were going to go swimming in tow weeks, but for now...
It was time to rest.
