AN:HI IF YOU HAVE BEEN NOTICING THIS STORY SLOWING DOWN ITS BECAUSE ME AND BLOODHUNTER101 HAVE GOT SOME OTHER COMMITMENTS HOWEVER THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE ARE ENDING IT, IT JUST MEANS THAT THE NEXT FEW CHAPTERS WON'T COME OUT STRAIGHT AWAY BUT ENOUGH OF THAT THANKS TO BLOODHUNTER101 FOR HELPING WRITE THIS NOW ON WITH THE STORY
As Link sat in Ozpin's office he looked around observing his new environment, it was a rather strange room with giant cogs everywhere.
"Mr. Cloudsome do you know why you are here? " Ozpin asked calmly
"You wanted to talk about my semblance, is that correct sir?" Link said
"Yes that is correct Link, so let's start from the beginning how you discovered your semblance" Ozpin said
"Well you see sir I was 7 years old my and mother and I were in vale for the first time in my life, my father had been preparing me to go to a combat school to become a huntsman but after some training one of his hits connected, and I started bleeding a little, now as you know there's nothing strange about this, but you see sir I had aura and we had only just started the fight, so we went to the doctors to see if there was something wrong.
Unfortunately my father didn't have time to come with us as he was to be going on a mission and had to pack so it was just my mother and I alone in the streets of Vale.
we made it to the doctors and they said that I would be fine and that my defensive aura was weak because it was being channelled into what I now know as my semblance, shortly after we left the doctors we were accosted by a bunch of racist bastards..." link said before Glynda cut off with a sharp slap of her ridding crop
"Language" she shrieked
"Calm down Glynda let the boy continue with his story" Ozpin said
"Well as I was saying, a group of anti faunus bigots came out of a pub drunk and set their sick minds on to torturing my mother by saying things along the lines of 'why are you kidnapping that boy you freak get out of our city we don't want you here' and other stuff my mother simply interrupted them by explaining how I was her son but they didn't listen and said that because I was human I couldn't be her son and she responded with a lie we had thought up before leaving where we would say my father was a chameleon faunus and that I had acquired his traits then my mother would use her semblance, which was hallucinations, to make it same like I was a chameleon faunus.
Fortunately this had the desired effect on the men and they believed I was a faunus however because of this instead of letting us go and going back to making love to wonderful glass lips of a bottle they also started having a go at me as well and they changed from thinking my mother was a kidnapper to just simply wanting her to go away just for being a faunus my mother then lost it and pulled out her weapon as a threat although she wouldn't actually do anything to them but instead of backing away from the faunus one of them grabbed an empty bottle, smashed it on an outside table and lunged at my mother with it, she dogged and the man crashed to the ground she put her weapon away picked me up and started to run for the docks hoping that somebody could help her... the bastards" Glynda slapped Link with her riding crop again
"I told you to mind your language if you say it once more you'll be in detention with me and you'll get a proper beating before you write one hundred lines after I'll personally shove a bar of soap in your mouth and wash that foul language out of you" Glynda hissed with a tone that made both Link and Ozpin sweat nervously.
"Glynda please calm down, however, Link, she isn't wrong that will be the punishment if you swear again but please get on with the story I wish to know more" Ozpin said
"like I was saying the jerks chased and caught up with my mum she suddenly stopped and put me down and asked them to leave us alone and if they attacked her well they would be the ones hurting then.
Suddenly one of them threw a punch at my mother hitting her square in the nose just as the fist was about to make contact she activated her aura and the fist bounced off and the man clutched it in pain this angered me and I activated my semblance for the first time now to give some context my father had recently been reading a rather peculiar book series called the witcher it was filled with stuff of fairy tales such as magic which of course doesn't exist and dragons and elves, monsters that aren't Grimm! Dwarves, curses, and... Philosophy? anyway I was young and wanting to be a huntsmen I was captivated by the main protagonist and wanted to be like him, my weapon was even based off of one that he found.
this main protagonist used something called witcher signs which are magic and when I activated my semblance it felt right to try activating one of these signs, and the one I chose to use was Igni this sign was simply just a blast of fire to do this I just thrust my hand forward and shout Igni then to my surprise it worked and I sent a blast of fire towards the men and they backed off" Link said
"Well that was interesting but I have two questions for you Mr. Cloudsome the first is you said your parents are Faunus so how come you are human" Ozpin said
"Well I don't know much about my biological parents because when my faunus parents found me they saw my mother clutching me in her arms with a Beowulf looming over her it was about to attack us when my faunus parents came and killed it, before my Mother died in front of them she told them
look after my baby and then the faunus pair adopted me and I have lived with them ever since I was 1 years old" Link said
"Ok and secondly how many of these signs can you use?" Ozpin asked
"I can use 5 of them however I'm not sure if I can learn to use more of them as there are more and if I properly train I might be able to make the ones I have stronger " Link said
"Well that's it for today Mr Cloudsome you can return to your dorm and get to know your team better Glynda will you escort him" Ozpin said
"Very well headmaster" Glynda said walking link out the room to his dorm
When link entered he saw Ash sitting looking at his scroll, Candice reading a book and Maylene under the covers of her bed moaning (weirdo go do that in your own private time!) the groups luggage had been brought up for them and they each had their bags open and the room had been decorated
Once Link had done so as well he pulled out his scroll and put his headphones on to listen to music
Time skip
The group woke up the next morning and they all got changed into their school uniform then lounged around making sure there weapons were sharpened and ready for combat, packed there backpacks with school supplies and spare dust then neatened up and walked to class. They arrived on time and sat down near the back and starred chatting whilst waiting for class to start then a few minutes later a scruffy looking team RWBY and team JNPR dashed through the doors and sat at the front
"monsters ,demons, prowlers of the night. Yes the creatures of grimm go by many names but I merely refer to them as prey" announced the stoic looking old professor port whilst he stood proudly at the front of the room
most students were completely inactive and some slept whilst the old professor recounted his tails of the many grimm he slaughtered, except for Weiss who sat at the front attentively listening to the tale
"as I was saying vale and the other 3 kingdoms are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world, our planet is teaming with creatures that would love nothing more than to rip you to shreds. But that is were we come in huntsmen, huntresses"as port said huntresses he looked at yang and winked as he did this yang shivered in discomfort "individuals who have sworn to protect those who can't protect them selves, from what you ask why the very world of course that is what you are training to become, but first a story, a tale of a young handsome man, me, when I was a boy bla bla bla ..." as he was saying this the whole class was starting to doze off except Weiss who appeared to be as attentive as ever
"despite smelling of cabbages my grand father was a wise man. 'Peter' he told me bla bla bla ..." port continued
as he finished Maylene and Ash threw a paper aeroplane at the back of ruby's head when opened, it read
'wut r u drawing red'
Ruby then turned round and showed her drawing to Ash and Maylene , this caused Maylene to started trying to hide her laughter so she didn't get in trouble
"why is Maylene trying not to laugh" Candice whispered to Ash
"she's laughing a Ruby's drawing" Ash whispered back
Maylene heard this and said "I'm not laughing at some dumb girls drawing I'm more mature than those imbeciles"
"are you tho bimbo, are you" Ash whispered to her "prove it" he added as if egging Maylene on to hit him
Maylene then raised her hand to hit ash as prof said "who here believes themselves the embodiment of these values" link who had been listing volunteered at the same time as Weiss "aha! three students think this, there is but one way to settle this dispute instead of the test I have lined up for the first student to raise their hand as you three raised them at the same time you will have a three-way battle and the winner will go on to the planned test"
Ash then nudged Maylene and said "a three-way eh"
Maylene looked confused as she stood up along with Link and Weiss , they walked slowly to the front. When the trio reached the front as Link's fingers rippled along the hilt of his sword and Maylene and Weiss did the same
"THREE" port announced
the trio drew their weapons
"TWO"
they adopted a fighting stance, link looking increasingly worried
"ONE"
Maylene and Weiss lunged towards each other whilst Link took a 'strategic'step back. Maylene and Weiss clashed their weapons, Maylene blocking Weiss's lighting fast rapier strikes and Weiss dodging Maylene's powerful axe swings this went on for multiple minutes whilst Link stood back observing the scene then one of Weiss's strikes hit Maylene in the shoulder causing her to drop her axe and allowed for Weiss to come in close and deal more damage, in the end Maylene was out classed by Weiss's speed, then Link took this opportunity to attack, Link then jumped into the air and started spinning before bringing his blade down on Weiss, Weiss (still tired from her previous bout with Maylene) clumsily dodged and the blade only skimmed the hem of her skirt, link then proceeded to pull out his bow and shot a couple of arrows towards Weiss who barely dodged the first arrow leaving a rip across Weiss the top half of her dress then she managed to reflect the second as she did this link pulled his bow over Weiss' head from behind then jumped back and used the wall to propel himself forward and jabbing Weiss in the centre of her torso with his sword diminishing her aura significantly but not enough to break it she responded to this by jabbing with her rapier link expertly side stepped each strike and only one made contact skimming his shoulder tearing clothes then Weiss lunged forward in such a manner that she could redirect her course so that he couldn't dodge in every way but one, knowing his options were limited he ran towards Weiss and what he did made everyone gasp, he launched himself forward, his torso straight as an arrow, and in doing so Weiss' rapier went over his right shoulder he then skidded past her and used this momentum to spin round and strike her in the back dealing the final blow and winning the fight.
"congratulations Mr Cloudsome on your victory, now on to the final test to see if u really are a true huntsman" port explained as he pulled his weapon out and slashed of the lock to the cage behind him.
A boarbatusk charged out towards Link, he dived out of the way causing the boarbatusk to crash into the wall and flip over onto its back link then jumped up spun in mid air and plunged his sword into the boarbatusk'sunder belly, disintegrating the creature
"Well done Mr Cloudsome you have proven yourself as worthy of being a huntsmen" port explained as the bell rang and everyone dispersed.
