AN: Welcome one and all to the VERY belated Halloween chapter! I've waited a LONG time to write this premise and I hope all of you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
(Date: October 31, 2016)
(Location: Patterson residence)
"I was working in the lab, late one night. When my eyes beheld an eerie sight…"
The sound of Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett filled little ol' Haiku's bedroom as she was brushing her teeth while humming a different tune. Today was going to be a good day in her mind.
She definitely considered Halloween to be her favorite holiday of the year.
After finishing her morning routine, she swiftly got dressed into her everyday attire which in retrospect was very much appropriate for today. Then she grabbed her schoolbag and phone and proceeded to walk downstairs. 'It's gonna be a great day' she thought to herself.
Meanwhile, Georgia was cooking up an extra special breakfast for her daughter.
She was currently flipping over double thick chocolate chip pancakes. Just then, the little sorceress leaped off the last step and the gleefully skipped along to the kitchen after catching the scent of food.
"Good morning mom" Haiku greeted as she took a seat at the table. "Morning sweetie" the matriarch greeted back. Then she turned around with plate with three of the pancakes and placed it in front of the little sorceress, and then she put whipped cream on the first layer and then added a dash of sprinkles.
This made Haiku feel very happy and spoiled at the same time.
"Oh before I forget, I finished making the invitations" Georgia commented as she handed them to her daughter who then placed them into her bag for safe keeping. "I hope that they'll be able to come, especially Lincoln after being cooped up in the hospital for the weekend" the little sorceress thought out loud as she munched on her special breakfast. "I'm sure that they would" the matriarch assured her daughter.
BEEP-BEEP!
"Oooh, bus is here" Haiku commented as she gulped down the last of the pancakes.
She then got up from the table with her schoolbag and gave her mom a quick hug. "Have a great day sweetie" Georgia tells her. "I will" the little sorceress replied. "And happy birthday" the matriarch whispered. "Thanks mom." Haiku gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and then rushed out the door to catch the bus.
"She's growing up so fast" Georgia commented to no one in particular.

(Scene change)
(Location: R.W. Elementary school, Mrs. Johnson's classroom)
In the spirit of the holiday, the homeroom teacher decided to throw a Halloween party for the class.
There was music, black and orange balloons and streamers and even a mini refreshment table. The best part was seeing some of the students were wearing costumes, even Mrs. Johnson was dressed up like Glinda the Good Witch. Haiku was able to find her friends were all gathered around Lincoln's desk.
She walked up to them and then tapped Kat on the shoulder and asked what they were looking at. "We're watching Lincoln draw" she quietly explained as she didn't want to disturb the snow haired child's concentration, "he's like insanely fast and all you hear is the sound of the pencil scribbling." The little sorceress was now intrigued and decided to watch along with everyone else.
Now you're probably wondering; what was Lincoln drawing that caught everyone's attention?
From the snow haired child's point of view, he was currently drawing himself as a superhero soaring through the skies while still listening to his music. He had no clue that people were watching him.
Kat and the others debated on should they make their presence known, or just keep watching him draw.
Just then, the decision was made for them as the Loud boy put down the pencil and proceeded to get up and was greeted to his mini audience…only for him to get startled and then fall on his butt. This concerned the group and then slightly scrambled to help their friend up. "Do I even want to know why all of you were watching me?" the snow haired child asked in slight annoyance.
He was given a wide variety of answers between everyone, but all agreed that it was better left unanswered.
Then Haiku remembered why she came over here, she quickly pulled out the invites her mom gave her. The little sorceress cleared her throat to gain everyone's attention and then proceeded to pass out the invitations.
The little card read:
You are cordially invited to Hildegard Patterson's 11th birthday sleepover celebration!
To boot, there was even a little chibi-styled Haiku waving a magic wand casting sparkles in her movement.
"I know this seems last minute and I understand if all of you have plans, but I would really like it if you came. Even if it's to just drop by to say hi" The little sorceress explained to the gang. "Well, I think I might be able to come. My older sisters were talking about going to some party and my sister Lynn said that she'd be willing to chaperone the younger sisters for trick or treating" Lincoln responded. "I didn't really have any plans except for maybe help pass out candy" Kat commented while Jordan had a similar situation.
"I'd have to ask my ma and pa but I don't think they'd have a problem with it" Liam responded.
The little sorceress' hopes were slightly raised at the possibility at celebrating her birthday with her friends. "I'm going to call my mom and see if it's okay" Kat thought out loud and then walked over to her desk to grab her phone while Jordan and Liam did the same. Lincoln simply pulled out his phone from his desk and sent a text to both his parents and Lori. The others came back and said that their parents are okay with the plan.
All that was left was waiting for Lincoln's parents to respond.
Just then, his phone vibrated and it was request for a video chat. The snow haired child sighed and then walked over to Mrs. Johnson and asked if he could go to the restroom to which she said yes to.
(Boy's bathroom)
So Lincoln pulled out his phone and accepted the video chat request and then Rita, Lynn Sr. and Lori appeared on the device's screen. "Did you see my text?" he asked, the parents and oldest sister nodded.
"I know its last minute but I kind of want to go. But I wanted to make sure it's okay with everyone."
"Well, your father and I don't see any problem with it especially if Mrs. Patterson is chaperoning." Rita responded. Lincoln assured his parents that Haiku's mom will be there. "I think it sounds fun" Lori commented, "Leni, Luna, Luan and I are still thinking about going to Carol Pingrey's Halloween party."
"So, can I go…?" Lincoln asked ever so cautiously. "Yes you can go" all three of them said simultaneously.
The snow haired child then thanked his parents and older sister for their blessing and then turned off his phone and proceeded to walk back to his homeroom and tell the gang the good news.
(After school…)
The little sorceress opened her locker to grab her schoolbag and her hat; she then turned around to face her friends. "Well we're all set up for tonight, my mom said that we could have it either in the living room or in my room" she tells them. The gang in return, gave their positive responses.
Just then, they heard lots of chatter down the hall.
Their curiosity got the better of them and decided to investigate. When they poked their heads from around the corner, they were greeted to the sight of a kid with shaggy dark red hair passing out invitations of his own. "Ugh, Chandler must be handing out invites to his Halloween soiree" Kat commented with air quotations.
"I sense some hostility" Lincoln commented. The blue haired lass sighed. "He tries to make his parties sophisticated. But that usually makes them boring as all get out" she explained. "I actually was invited to his party last year only to find out that costumes were prohibited, I felt so humiliated. But then I wondered who the heck throws a Halloween party but bans costumes? It was at that point I realized that Chandler McCann's parties aren't as awesome as everyone says they are." Jordan spoke out.
"Sounds to me that guy needs to get the stick out of his butt" Liam offhandedly commented.
The others had to stifle their laughs as they did not want to get caught.
The gang slowly retreated back to Haiku's locker to discuss further plans for tonight.

(Location: the Loud house, Lincoln's room)
The snow haired child wasted no time racing to his room to start packing for tonight.
He got out his duffle bag and put his pajamas, an extra pillow, a sleeping bag, toothbrush, a small tube of toothpaste and a pair of slippers and also a few new NES carts to show off.
As he continued to pack, he failed to notice that someone was coming down the stairs.
Sneaking up on him ever so quietly, the mysterious figure walked towards the Loud boy. The person then shouted out "BOO!" which made ol' Lincoln jump in the air and then falling on his butt. Lori winced and then helped her little brother back up. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you that bad" she explained. "Its fine" Lincoln told her, "besides it was more like caught off guard." "Are you excited for tonight?" she asked.
"I am" the snow haired child answered, "but I'm also a little nervous. I've never really been to a sleepover before." "I'm sure it'll be fine. Besides, it'll be with all your friends it will feel like you're just hanging out like usual." It was times like these that made Lincoln appreciate Lori's words of wisdom.
"I like your costume by the way" he commented. The costume in question was a classic heavenly angel.
"Thanks, I chose this because Leni picked out a devils costume. Almost have to have one go with the other ya know?" Lori explains. "So I take it then ya'll are going to Carol's party after all?" Lincoln asks.
"Yep, in fact the others are waiting for me upstairs" the oldest sister answered.
"Oh, well I wouldn't want you to keep them waiting then. Besides, I think I have everything I need." The snow haired child then zippered up his bag and slung it over his shoulder. "Mind if I walk with you?" he asks. "Of course" Lori answered with a smile. Then the two siblings walked up the stairs.
As they climbed the last step, they walked through the kitchen and passed their father who was baking Halloween themed cookies for trick-or-treaters.
Meanwhile; Leni, Luna and Luan were watching a little TV.
"You know I wonder if there's anyone out there in real life that would give a kid a rock on Halloween" the comedic sister wondered out loud. "I try not to think about it, it's pretty mean to do a person" the fashionista commented. "At the very least, it should be rock candy so you could still enjoy it" the musician added.
As they have a lengthy discussion about the flaws in the beloved cartoon "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", they failed to notice that someone was lurking right behind them.
Lori and Lincoln snuck up on the unsuspecting sisters and shouted out "BOO!" and made the sisters on the couch leaped out in the air with fear and then fell sorely on their butts. As the three rubbed their sore tushes, Luan was the first to notice the oldest sister's and the snow haired child's presence.
The comedian then let out a chuckle, "Aw heck I can't even be mad I would've done the same thing if the roles were reverse" she admits. "There have been times you've had" Luna commented.
"Are you ready to go Lori" Leni asks her roommate as she dusted herself off.
Lincoln then took the moment to look at the other sister's costumes. As Lori said, Leni was dressed up like a devil, Luna looked like some kind of Viking and Luan was dressed in her court jester outfit that she uses sometimes for birthday performances.
Just then, Lynn and the younger sisters came downstairs in their costumes as well.
The athletic sister was dressed up as a intergalactic alien basketball player, Lucy decided to go out as the grim reaper, Lana and Lola always dressed up as a pair so the little grease monkey dressed up as a rabbit and the little princess dressed up as a magician, Lisa decided to go with the classic mad scientist persona reminiscent of the Frankenstein films and little baby Lily is dressed as an adorable polka dotted ghost.
The snow haired child sighed. As much as he was looking forward to the sleepover, he couldn't help but feel a little down since this would technically be the last Halloween Lori would have here before going off the college next year. Part of him wasn't ready to accept that his big sister would be leaving the house soon.
But he understood that's just part of growing up, and that everyone including himself would venture out on their own eventually. The Loud boy shook his head to get out the negative thoughts. Everyone had plans for tonight. So it's not like anyone's really left out of anything. Heck, Rita and Lynn Sr. are staying in to pass out candy to trick-or-treaters that come by. And he trusted Lynn to keep a sharp eye on the younger sisters and make sure that they don't into any kind of trouble, she was a good enforcer like that.
HONK-HONK!
"Oh, that must be our ride" Leni thought out loud. Then she, Luna and Luan raced out the front door while shouting out their goodbyes to the other siblings and the parents.
Meanwhile Lori took the time to properly say goodbye to everyone and then took Lincoln aside for a moment, "Remember to have fun" she whispers to him, the snow haired child nodded in agreement. And then she walked out the front door to meet up with the others and go to the party.
Lynn then looked at the clock and noticed the time.
"Oooh, trick-or-treating has officially begun" she commented, she grabbed everyone's bags and then marched the younger sisters in an orderly fashion out the front door. "Don't stay out too late Junior!" Lynn Sr. shouted from the kitchen. "We won't dad!" the athlete shouted back.
Just then, Rita walked over to her son with Vanzilla's keys in her hand. "Ready to go sweetie?" she asks. "Yep" the Loud boy answered. The matriarch smiled, 'They grow up so fast...' she thought to herself.

(Location: the Patterson residence)
As the mother and son pull up to the house, they couldn't help noticed how it was decked out with Halloween decorations. "Huh, I guess they really like the holiday" the matriarch thought out loud.
Lincoln on the other hand, wasn't all that surprised. 'Considering Haiku…' he thought to himself.
"Want me to walk you to the front door?" Rita asks. "Sure" the Loud boy answered. So then the two exited the minivan and walked through the impressive display of Halloween decorations. As they reached the front door, the snow haired child rang the doorbell only to be greeted to the sound of mad cackling.
The mother and son were slightly taken back, "Lucy would love to trick-or-treat at this house" Lincoln muttered. "Agreed" Rita replied. Just then, the door opened to reveal Mrs. Patterson in a highly flamboyant fortune telling costume. "Ah, the one with hair white as the driven snow has finally arrived. Come in, come in, the others are waiting for you upstairs" she explains. "Thank you Mrs. Patterson and I like your Ernesto Estrella costume, it's really accurate" Lincoln complemented as he made his way to Haiku's room while saying goodbye to his mom. Before heading out, Rita complemented Georgia on the impressive outdoor display.
"When you have a child born on a day like this, it's hard not to go all out each year" Georgia explains. Rita could understand that line of thinking, especially considering Luan's birthday is on April Fool's Day. "Would you like a cookie before heading back?" Georgia offered the Loud matriarch? Rita smiled, 'I see us becoming great friends' she thought to herself as she took a soft frosted sugar cookie for the road.
(Haiku's room)
Meanwhile, the snow haired child reached the birthday girl's bedroom door. He sighed, 'Remember what Lori said, it's just like if we were all hanging out like normal' he thought to himself.
Then he knocked on the door out of politeness. "Come on in Lincoln, we're all here!" he heard Haiku's voice. The Loud boy smiled, and then proceeded to open the door. He then was greeted to the sight of everyone sitting in a circle on the floor already in their pajamas.
"Sorry if I'm late, was kind of the last one to leave the house" he apologized.
The birthday girl waved her hand in a dismissal gesture. "It's cool, we actually just arrived not too long ago ourselves" Kat admitted. The snow haired breathed a silent sigh of relief hearing that he wasn't terribly late. "In fact you're just in time for a round of Truth or Dare" Haiku confessed.
Ol' Lincoln Loud was no stranger to this game due to the numerous of times his sisters had their friends over for sleepovers over the years. "Sure, but can I have a moment to change?" he asks. "Of course" the birthday girl answers, "You can use the bathroom for privacy." The snow haired child then walked over to the bathroom to change into his pjs. A few minutes later, he returned and sat next to Kat.
"Alright, now that everyone's here we can begin the game" the birthday girl announced. "And since it's my birthday, I go first." The others couldn't argue with that logic. She pointed to, "Liam! Truth or dare?"
The country gulped ever so slightly, "Dare" he boldly answered.
"Alrighty then, I dare you…to kiss Jordan on the cheek!" Lincoln and Kat let out an "Ooooh" as they did not expect such a heavy dare on the first round while Jordan stayed silent but her cheeks are slightly blushing. Meanwhile the country boy without a second thought, crawled over to the braided lass and planted one right on her left cheek and then proceeded to crawl back over to his spot with a grin that could rival the Cheshire Cat. Haiku, Lincoln and Kat were in shock that he did it without even thinking about it.
Jordan was sporting a ghost of a smile as she touched the cheek that Liam kissed.
"My turn" the country boy announced. "Haiku, truth or dare?" The birthday girl had to think for a moment. If she chose dare, then Liam could use that for revenge. "Truth" she answers, choosing the safer bet.
"Do you have a favorite band you like to listen to?" This caught everyone by surprise; they were expecting him to pick something heavy duty. The birthday girl took another moment to think. "Hmmm, I would have to say The Birthday Massacre. They have this synthwave gothic sound that I really love. I'll have to show you all sometime" she answers with a smile, and then she claps her hands together. "Alright, who would like to go next?" she asks. Jordan surprisingly raised her hand. "Alright Jordan, go ahead."
"Kat, truth or dare?" the braided lass asked. "Truth" the blue haired lass answered.
"Who is your celebrity crush?" A relatively harmless question. "Tom Holland. I really enjoyed his performance as Spider-Man in the film, Captain America: Civil War." "So Jordan, truth or dare?" Kat asks.
"Dare" the braided lass answered without giving it a second thought. Then the blue haired lass had a sneaky idea. "I dare you to crank call Chandler McCann and profess your "love" to him!" Jordan's eyes grew the size of dinner plates while the others had to hold their mouth to hold back their laughter.
None of the less, the braided lass pulled out her phone and then dialed the number and put it on speaker. It rang for a few seconds, "Hello?" Chandler's voiced called. "I love you" Jordan spoke in a sultry tone, "I've been in love with you for what feels like my whole life my darling. Baby I love you so much; my life is meaningless without you." The others had to restrain themselves very hard to not laugh in order not to ruin the prank.
"Look whoever you are; I don't have time to play games." Then Jordan decided to crank it up a notch.
"Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you. Remember I'll always be true. And then while I'm away, I'll write home every day. And I'll send all my loving to you" she sang in the same fake voice.
The others could feel the annoyance coming from Chandler. "Listen here. Call this number again, and I'm calling the cops!" and then he hung up. And then the others were found rolling around laughing their heads off. "That was absolutely priceless!" Lincoln cried. "Best dare ever!" Kat cackled. "I have to admit, that was rather humorous" Haiku commented. Liam however, was surprisingly silent. 'I know it was a dare, but I hope that she doesn't have real feelings for that guy. She could do so much better' he thought to himself.
"I'm just surprised that he didn't recognize my voice" Jordan admitted.
The laughter eventually died down and then it was braided lass' turn to pick someone. "Lincoln, truth or dare?" she asks. "Truth" he answered in a heartbeat, he wasn't in a mood for a dare anyway.
Jordan had to think long and hard about what to ask, and then it came to her. "Do you ever wish that you were only child?" Kat, Liam and Haiku let out an "Ooooh" at the deepness of the question. Lincoln however, stayed neutral. "I used to, but not anymore. I can't imagine my life without my sisters" he answers.
KNOCK-KNOCK
Just then, Haiku's mom appeared with several boxes in her hand. "The pizzas have arrived" she spoke with a joyous smile. And then everyone's stomachs began to growl like the dickens.
(Downstairs)
The kids moved the party to the living room. As they munched on their slices, the birthday girl pondered on what the next activity should be. "Would anyone like to have their fortunes told?" Georgia spoke up. The gang looked over to the dining area and saw her sitting in a makeshift tent in place of the dinner table.
Haiku couldn't help but smile at her mother's enthusiasm. "What do you guys think?" the birthday girl asked the others. "I think it sounds like fun" Lincoln answered, as he was no stranger to getting his fortune told considering his sister Lucy. The others seemed to share the Loud boy's enthusiasm as well.
Haiku was the first to enter the tent as she's the birthday girl. Georgia then looked into the crystal ball. "Ah, my mystical orb of the future tells me that the road ahead looks to be filled with promise of happiness." The birthday girl held in a giggle at her mom's acting skills, and she hopes that the future has her friends by her side. She then exited the tent and then Georgia popped her head out and asked who was next.
Liam surprisingly stepped forward and then entered the tent.
Like before, Georgia took a moment to look into her crystal ball. "Oooh, I am hearing that your family's farm will bring in an excellent harvest for the coming winter season" she tells the country boy. That made Liam feel hopeful and silently prayed that her prediction comes true. He then exited the tent, and then Jordan stepped in. She was curious about how the process worked, and now she has an opportunity.
Unlike the last two times, Georgia stayed silent for longer. "You were once on a dark path I see" she spoke. The braided lass gulped with fear. "But then you realized the error of those dark ways, and that inspired you to take the path to redemption." Jordan was beginning to be a little spooked at the accuracy of Mrs. Patterson's words. "Does it say that I stay on that path?" she asked the million dollar question that's running in her head. "That is completely up to you my wayward child" Georgia answered. "But personally, as long as you know and remember what's right in your heart I think you won't need to worry about slipping back."
Mrs. Patterson's words gave all the more reason for Jordan to keep up with wanting to do better. The braided lass then stepped out of the tent with a smile saying that she heard exactly what she needed to hear.
Young Kathrine decided to take her turn and stepped into the tent.
Once again, Georgia looked deep into her crystal ball. "I see that you come from a family that has been blessed with wealth for generations" she began. The blue haired lass slightly blushed. Unlike other rich kids, she didn't like to flaunt her wealth/status around. She'd rather have people like her for who she is rather than for what she has. "I see that you don't define yourself with your wealth" Georgia continued. "I'd rather have friends that like me for me rather than what I could buy them" Kat admitted. "A very commendable character trait" Georgia commented. Just then, the crystal ball grew a faint glow. "Oh my, my mystical orb of the future is telling me that you will find love in the future." The blue haired lass was more than surprised at Mrs. Patterson's bold prediction. "I-I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. I'm not even 13, I'm too young to fall in love" she confessed. "Relax my child" Mrs. Patterson soothed, "my crystal ball didn't give a specific date."
That made Kat feel slightly better. After all, who ever heard of 11 year olds finding their true love? She then got up and then exited the tent. Then came the time for ol' Lincoln Loud to take his turn, he wasn't so sure what made him want to be the last person. But now it was his turn, so he stepped into the tent.
As Mrs. Patterson looked into the crystal ball for the last time, the snow haired child couldn't help but feel nervous about hearing about the future. "I sense that you've participated in this type of thing before" Georgia commented. "Yeah, my sister Lucy loves doing these kinds of things" the Loud boy admitted.
"I see that you're rather content with your life at this moment."
Lincoln couldn't argue with that statement. Ever since making friends with Kat, Jordan, Liam and Haiku he's felt a lot happier, he enjoys hanging out with them. Mrs. Patterson then continued, "But you can adapt to changes when they happen." The Loud boy thought back to Lori when she said that.
"I also see that you have an untapped gift for drawing. That is something that may or may not help shape your future." This caught the snow haired child by surprise. 'How did she know?' he thought to himself. "Do you think I really could be an artist when I get older?" he asks. "I think it's something that you should greatly consider. After all, an artist in a unique family such as yours would fit right in."
Lincoln saw the logic in that considering each sister has their own unique special talent.
Sometime later, the snow haired child exited the tent with Mrs. Patterson following close behind. "How did it go?" Kat asks. "It was, very educational" the boy answered. He didn't want to reveal too much as he feared of bringing people's hopes up too high. Plus, he really doesn't like having labels on his character.
Haiku then looked at the time and saw that they still had time before going to bed. She then asked the gang what they should do next. Then Lincoln had an idea, he walked over to the birthday girl and whispered something into her ear. Haiku's eyes then lit up and then grew a happy grin.
And then she raced back upstairs with the others following right behind her.
(Back to Haiku's room)
The bedroom burst open to reveal the kids bull rushing inside and then colliding into each other.
Haiku was the first to get up and then straightened herself out. "Where are they?" she asks Lincoln with eagerness laced in her tone. "In my duffle bag, it's the orange one" the Loud boy tells her. The others felt all kinds of confused. 'What did Lincoln bring?' they collectively thought.
The birthday girl then came back with the NES carts that Lincoln brought with. Kat and Jordan in particular, grew very huge smiles on their faces as they remembered that Haiku's got a game console and silently kicked themselves for not remembering until now. "I'm particularly interested in the one called, Bomberman II" Haiku commented. "Well then I believe that's the one we shall start with" Lincoln tells her.
The birthday girl then walked over to her AVS console and took out the Tetris cart and the popped in the Bomberman cart and proceeded to boot the system up and plugged in all 4 controllers. As they played; Lincoln, Kat and Jordan were awe struck as they witness Haiku pick up the game mechanics so quickly, she picks it up like lent it's like a second instinct to her. Even Liam, who has little gaming experience as well couldn't help but be impressed as he watched the others play head to head.
After playing Bomberman II, Lincoln then showed Haiku the other two carts he brought with. Solomon's Key and Blaster Master. And like with the last game, the birthday girl picked up the mechanics and patterns. 'Howard was right, she really is a wizard' the snow haired child thought to himself.
Then after play those games, the birthday girl brought out the carts she received from Mr. Philips.
They played rounds of all 3 Super Mario Bros. games, then showed off her skills in The Legend of Zelda to everyone and then to top it all off, got in a head-to-head Tetris match with Kat.
After a pretty even Tetris match, the gang then had to put the down the video games.
"That was quite exhilarating" the birthday girl commented. "Couldn't agree more" Kat replied, while Lincoln, Jordan and Liam merely nodded in agreement. Haiku then looked over to the clock on her nightstand and saw it was getting closer to bedtime. But she had one last thing that she wanted to do.
"Before we turn in for the night, I would like to do something for all of you" she announces.
This peaked the others interest, but the birthday girl wasn't finished. "But first, I need to be in the proper attire." She then walked over to her closet and grabbed her witch's hat and cape off the hook of the door. She then fasten the cape over her body and firmly placed the hat on her head.
She then turned to the group. "I would like to perform one magic trick for all of you, just one. But I need one hair tye and a handkerchief." Jordan then gave her an extra hair tye from her overnight bag and Liam supplied the handkerchief. The birthday girl then placed the tye on the floor and the covered it with the handkerchief. Then she goes over to her nightstand and grabs her magic wand and then she gets on her knees in front of the covered hair tye.
Needless to say, the others were more than a little curious at what Haiku had up her sleeve.
The birthday girl on the other hand, was waving her wand in a rhythmic manor and then began chanting. "Stelecarb gnizama 5 otni yet riah enol siht nrut, dnah ym ni dnaw cigam!" And then there was a puff of pink smoke that shrouded the area that Haiku was pointing to. The birthday girl waited for the smoke to clear out, and then she lifted the piece of cloth to reveal 5 different colored handmade bracelets.
The others were astounded at the craftsmanship of the bracelets.
"I made these for us" Haiku admitted, "The orange one is for Lincoln, the red one is for Kat, the yellow one is for Jordan, the brown one is for Liam and the purple one is for me." Lincoln and the gang's hearts melted at that confession. "That is really sweet of you Haiku" the snow haired child commented while the others simply nodded in agreement. Then they each took their respected colored bracelets and put them on the wrist of their choosing. "This is really comfortable" Jordan commented, "what kind of material did you use?"
"I used a special kind of hemp rope and then used a skin safe kind of dye for the colors" Haiku explains.
KNOCK-KNOCK
Just then, Mrs. Patterson came in with something important in her hands. "I think it's time for the birthday girl to have her cake" she says. She then placed the purple frosted birthday cake on her daughter's lap and then pulls out a lighter and lights the candles in the middle of the cake.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Haiku, happy birthday to you and many more" her mom, Lincoln and the gang sang. The birthday girl in question has tears of joy streaming down her face. "Make a wish sweetie" Georgia whispers to the birthday girl.
The little sorceress thought and hard about what to wish for. But as she thought about it; she looked around herself and saw her mom, Lincoln and the gang she came to a conclusion.
"I don't need to make a wish" she spoke out, "I have everything I could ever want. I have an amazing mom and amazing friends. And all of you being here to celebrate with me is the best gift I could ever receive." None of the less, she blew out the candles for the sake of tradition.
'Best. Birthday. EVER!' the little sorceress thought to herself.

AN: So I have to admit this chapter turned out way different than what I originally envisioned. But I think that's for the best. Sometimes it's okay that not everything is set in stone, it gives it an authentic quality about life being filled with ups and downs and unexpected moments.
I would also like to take a moment to take in what today means to me.
Exactly one year ago today, this story's first chapter was officially published. I didn't know what to expect or how people would react to it. But as time went by, I saw it grow and grow.
And one year later, this arc so far has:
15 chapters
35 reviews
41 people have clicked on that favorite button and also that follow button.
I would like to say to each and every one of you, thank you.
Thank you so much.
Your support means the world to me. There's still 11 chapters left in this arc, but it won't be the end, believe me. There's still plenty more to tell. And I would also like to wish everyone a happy holiday.
