Summary: James ends up working with SUPERMAN to rescue Supergirl, who's been missing in space for days.
NOTE: this is not the CW superman or supergirl, it's the ones from the comics, just to make it easy.
On this lovely morning, James was just relaxing in his house when they got a knock at their door.
James got up and went to get it, what he wasn't expecting was to see the man of steel himself, Superman at his own doorstep. "Superman! What are you doing here?" James said.
"I need your help." He said.
"Eee, Superman needs my help *going back on focus* come on in." James said fanboying.
Superman entered the room. "And just so you know I already know your identity, so no need to hide it." James said.
"How?" He asked.
"Because every multiverse can be a story in another, Clark Kent." He said.
"Not important." Clark said. "Anyway, I need your help. You know about my cousin Kara if you know about me." Superman said.
"Supergirl? Yeah what's up with her?"
"Well she went into space many weeks ago. And we lost track of her signal. And the Justice League wants your help to find her." Clark said.
"Consider it done. What's the plan?"
"To follow the same trail she went on."
"Simple enough why do you need my help?"
"Because I suggested to the league we extend our reach of assistance. And you are a viable option."
"Sweet. So, give me a minute I got to grab some stuff." James said before grabbing a suit.
A small while later, Clark and James were now following the trail, in the vast space she was in, as James was looking at a monitor that had the trail on it. "Ok so she went lost around here?" James asked.
"Yes." Clark said.
"Well we're right next to the moon, and according to my knowledge on action movies, something must be on the moon that cause to went mi-" James said before he was suddenly punched so hard, not only did he went what felt like hundreds and hundreds of miles away from Superman, but he lost all of his calculations in his helmet.
James was flying so fast and rotating all around space he had no idea where his pin was on the board. 'That metaphor made no sense.' James thought in his head.
Yeah how do you know what I'm thinking. 'Because this series is told from my perspective.' James said.
Whatever back to the story.
When James finally got his head straight, he was about to fly directly into the sun!
James grabbed his monitor and flew right into the other direction.
Once he was back on track, he contacted Clark via comms. "Sups, what the hell just happened, I feel like I got punched by Master Hand." James asked, he got no answers. "Sups?" James said again, nothing.
"Ah shit. Look, stay where you are. I'm on the way." James said.
"Oh I look forward to it." A voice that was Not Superman's said before the line was cut off.
"Damn it. The moon it is!" He yelled before flying off.
He landed on the moon after enough flying and scanned the entire planet. What he saw on the map he saw a tech facility that was on the rock.
"Hm. Okay we might wanna sneak our way in." James said to himself before he pushed a button and then he went completely invisible and he flew towards the station.
When he got close, he saw a station with robots walking around as guards most likely, and there were turrets on the roof sighting anything if case something showed up. So getting in wasn't going to be as easy as walking in.
James saw an air vent by the door and he flew towards it in his invisibility.
He phased through the vent like a ghost and became visible to the naked eye and began to crawl through the vents.
He popped out a map and had two glowing beacons which equaled both Clark and Kara to it. James made a trail in his head and began to crawl his way through the vents further.
As James was going, he felt like he was being watched. He wasn't sure why, but his gut told him so.
He then made it to the vent where Clark and Kara were being held by green kryptonite at their necks, hands, and legs.
James punched the vent off and grabbed it before it could hit the ground.
Clark looked at James. "James!" Clark yelled.
"What exactly happened?" James asked getting down and going to them before he was knocked out.
When he woke up, he was chained up by some form of crystal, it seemed like kryptonite.
James legitimately laughed and went to break out, but he realized one thing, he felt weaker. Not like the average weak when you're just tired, but the type of tired where you feel like you can't do anything.
"A Fool's kryptonite that is. Anti kryptonite, has the same effects on a human as the average does on a kryptonian." Lex Luthor said walking into the room.
"Shut up Shakespeare." James said.
"Nice to meet you. You're the first person to ever break into this containment unit." Luthor said.
"Let's just say I'm a talented son of a bitch." James said. "What do you want with Supergirl and Superman?"
"To extract their DNA and copy the genes that make them them, and spread it across the globe. Everyone will be super." Luthor said sounding incredibly cocky.
"If everyone's super, no one's super." James said.
"Some will if I get a hold of your own tech." Luthor said.
"You're not laying a finger on my own tech." James said.
"We'll see within the next hour." Luthor said before walking out.
James sighed and tried to think of a way to get out.
Then, he thought of something.
"Well if this is the opposite of kryptonite, it should be easily destroyed." James said before being able to summon his suit and crushing the crystal with it.
He was able to get out of his compartment and flew straight out of the room.
He flew in front of Luthor and punched him directly in the face.
He broke into the room where Clark and Kara was.
James ripped off the kryptonite for them and grabbed both of their hands. "Come on!" James yelled before yanking the two of them into a blue force field ball before James himself jumped in. "What's the plan?" Clark asked.
"Take a guess." James said before crawling forward, making it go.
He ran to find his way out of the lab, with Kara and Clark rolling around the ball like newborns. If they ran into robots, they just crushed them.
James bounced out of the lab and kept on running.
But then, Kara accidentally tripped James and he fell, the ball bounced in the air and slowly closed, making the three of them crash land onto a small hillside of the moon.
James and Kara got up. "Sorry about that." Kara said, sounding like she's dealing with a hangover.
"No don't blame yourself." James said stretching a bit.
"Ok, wait who are you?" Kara asked.
James went to say, but he grabbed the fist that kept punching him and knocked out who turned out to be Bizarro. "Sorry about that. James. James Michael. Your cousin came to me in order to save you from now from what I guess being taken by Luthor." James said.
"Exactly." Kara said chuckling.
"Ok! I hate to interrupt this moment, but we gotta get out of here." Clark said butting in.
"Ok." James said throwing a portal and jumping in it with Clark and Kara.
The three teleported into his house and James made his suit vanish. "Man that guy can really punch." James said.
"Yeah that's Bizarro. The opposite of me." Clark said.
"And he's kind of an idiot." Kara said.
"Good to know." James said before he felt a sharp pain in his arm.
"Need help with that." Kara said grabbing his right arm.
"No I'm fine I can tak-"
*SNAP*
James squeaked like a four year old girl feeling his arm being snapped back into place.
"Yeah. I think we're good here." James said.
"Alright." Kara said.
"Anyway, nice working with you Sups *summons a business card* take this to the rest of the league, if you want to, show it to Kara while you're at it." James said.
"On it." Clark said.
James summoned a portal for the two of them and Clark floated in.
Before Kara went in, she hugged James. "Thanks for saving me." She said.
"Too tight." He said.
Kara let go. "Sorry."
"Again stop saying sorry, it must come naturally." He said before Kara floated in.
James sighed and closed the portal. Alex walked in. "Hey James, I just got back from the store. Smell this lotion Ash bought me." He said.
"Ok." James said uncapping the lid and smelled it. "Smells like lemons." James said.
And that was that! This chapter was mainly meant to show Superman and Supergirl before they show up in my upcoming Team 2, in which they both play a big part.
