Sorry I haven't updated in so long. School just started, and I'm trying to figure out how this will work.

Chapter IX: Big Trouble, Little Ninjago
It had been hours since Lloyd's defeat was broadcast, and the entire city was in a panic.
"The Green Ninja is gone! Who's gonna protect us? What if Garmadon comes here?" the people thought. Bikers were turning Ninjago City upside down to prepare for their new emperor's arrival. It was chaos, but inside one building, two people were safely hidden inside. Avoiding all of the chaos. Of course, one didn't know that the chaos existed, but little C.J. was keeping it together. Currently, the little baby was now out of his blanket and rolling on Dareth's soft carpet. It was annoyingly repetitive to watch, but the baby enjoyed every second of his time. Misako was not so pleased. After watching her son nearly get killed by her ex-husband on the news, she was worried sick, and awaiting further news on her son's whereabouts on the news.
"The mayor has placed a city-wide curfew until further notice," Gayle Gossip reported on the news. "Tensions are high, and the question on everyone's mind is, 'Where are our ninja, and is the Green Ninja okay?'."
For a second, C.J. stopped rolling around. He grabbed onto the low windowsill and managed to stand up to see the people running around. He thought it was amusing and started laughing and clapping his hands, but immediately fell down as he had nothing to put his weight on but his tiny, shaky legs, and he started laughing again. C.J. tried this stunt again and looked out the window this but soon started to cry.
Misako immediately got up and picked C.J. up.
"What do you need? Are you hungry?" she asked, but before she started looking for something for him to drink, the phone rang.
Misako picked up the phone to hear Nya's voice.
"Misako," she said.
"Is my son okay?" Misako asked.
"We found him," Nya replied, "but he's in really bad shape. We're heading your way, but-but we don't know what to do. It's like-it's like his life force is fading."
Misako was silent for a moment. What do you do with a man who was just nearly killed by elemental power. The doctor wouldn't know what to do, so they couldn't take him to a hospital. Suddenly, Misako's eyes fell on a tea kettle in some of Dareth's mess.
"I know where to take him," Misako said.
Meanwhile, in Jumanikai Village, the S.O.G. had just arrived, and the people were scared. They hadn't had an attack on them since the Anacondrai attack, and that was years ago, but one brave man went out to see what they wanted. He didn't have any money to his name, and he hadn't learned much about fighting, but he went out there.
"We're good people. We have nothing to give you," the man told the bikers.
"Your village is surrounded. Kneel before your new emperor," Harumi ordered the man.
"We will never kneel. Our people have already taken up arms. We will fight, if need be," the man replied.
"Taken up arms?" Garmadon asked.
Although, the guys was incredibly evil, he still had the mind of a two day old child. So he didn't realize that the man wasn't criticizing him.
"These people know not of your power, my Emperor," Harumi told him. "Show them. Show all of Ninjago how to kneel."
Garmadon used his powers to summon up as many nearby rocks as he could get to create a huge giant behind him.
"Please, forgive us, Emperor Garmadon," the man dropped his sword and knelt before him.
The place Misako spoke of earlier was Mystake's Tea Shop. The ninja laid Lloyd on the counter of the shop while Mystake was making some tea in the back, and Jay was trying to keep Lloyd's fever down with a cold, wet cloth.
"Hurry! He's burning up!" Jay called to Mystake.
"You cannot hurry tea. Only have patience to get it right," Mystake replied as she walked into the room with a cup. "It is ready."
"Is it going to make him better?" Cole asked.
"It will heal his wounds, but..." Mystake started.
"But what?" Nya asked.
Kai sighed, "There's always a 'but'."
"...It comes with a price," Mystake told them.
"Whatever it is, we will pay it," Zane told her.
"I will take no coin for this. I speak of a price for you and your friend. Each of you must lay your hand upon him. The tea will focus your elemental powers to save him, but it may use up all the power you have left," Mystake explained.
"Are you telling me to save him, we could lose our power?" Jay asked.
"Perhaps. Perhaps not," Mystake replied.
Lloyd started whimpering in pain, which made the final decision.
"Do it," Nya said.
"Wait!" Kai said. "You don't just jump into decisions like this. I mean..."
"You're just worried about yourself," Cole interrupted.
"Maybe I am, but you saw how powerful Lord Garmadon was. Without our elemental powers, what chance do we have?"
"The decision needs to be unanimous. I will give up my power to save Lloyd," Zane said as he put a hand on Lloyd's leg.
"Me too," Jay said as he put a hand on his shoulder.
"It's not even a choice," Cole said as he put a hand on Lloyd's leg while Nya did on his head.
Kai looked at his friends before putting his hand on Lloyd, as well.
Mystake gave him the tea, and Lloyd started groaning out in pain as the ninja's hands began to glow with power.
Once it was over Mystake said, "Now, we wait."
The ninja were still waiting almost six hours later. It was night now, and they wanted nothing more than to go back home with Lloyd. Mystake was sewing something in the backroom while Zane was treating Lloyd, and Kai was desperately trying to get his powers back.
"So, at least we have our powers," Nya said as Kai had finally gotten his powers to work.
"Yeah, but is it enough?" Kai asked.
"It always is," Nya mentioned.
"But, what if it's not?"
"Ninja never quit."
"Ninja don't last forever," Kai looked away.
Nya held back a gasp. She had never heard her brother talk like this. He was usually so sure of himself. So confident. But, if Lloyd doesn't come back then Kai lost his best friend. The ninja's master. Their leader. Their best friend.
"Whatever happens, we fight on," Nya told everyone.
"What possibly could be so important that you have to do that now?" Jay asked Mystake as the humming grew louder.
"Just a little something..." Mystake laughed, "to go."
Jay looked at Cole who just shrugged.
"What is this, takeout?" Cole asked as Mystake came over to Jay with a small bag.
"For your time of need, remember to go," Mystake told him.
"To go," Jay repeated.
"To go," Mystake repeated as she went back to where she was before.
Jay then looked at Cole and gestured her as crazy before the building started to shake.
"What is that?" Cole asked before the ninja went outside to check it out. People were screaming, and all of then were running in the same direction.
Kai grabbed one of the men who was running and asked, "What is it? What happened?"
"If you see it, run!" the man replied before running away.
The ninja then felt another shake and Jay asked, "What could do that?"
"Only a being of great size," Zane replied.
The ninja then saw the NGTV news building collapse!
"Come on!" Kai yelled as he ran towards whatever it was.
"What about Lloyd?" Nya asked.
"Looks like it's just us five," Cole said.
"Don't forget me," Pixal said as she arrived in her Samurai X mech.
"You guys go. I'll keep watch over him," Nya confirmed.
The four ninja ran through the streets until they saw a crushed police car. They looked over to the side to see a rock giant with purple streaks of power in him walking through the city.
"We need to stop it before anyone is hurt," Zane said.
"We're losing it!" Kai said as he put on his hood.
The other ninja followed the motion and followed the red clad ninja up the fire escape of a nearby building. They jumped from building to building until they saw the police and Commissioner.
"Give it everything we've got!" the Commissioner ordered.
But, before they could do anything the stone giant nearly crushed them with his foot.
"Sweet Garmageddon!" Jay yelled.
The giant was about to crush the Commissioner where he lay, when it suddenly stopped.
"Wh-what happened?" the Commissioner asked.
"I believe you mean, 'What happens next?'," Harumi said.
"Kneel!" Garmadon ordered, "or I will raze your city back from into the dust from which it came!"
The police and Commissioner started to kneel, when Kai said, "Not so fast!"
"'Not so fast'?" Jay asked, "that's our big entrance? You used that ages ago. After all these battles, all this time, you couldn't come up with something better?"
"Look! I'm sorry if I'm distracted by that giant walking thing!" Kai replied, to which the giant turned around and looked straight at the ninja.
"Uh, guys," Cole said as he started shaking Zane's arm, "I think he heard you."
The stone giant raised its fist into the air and punched the building the ninja were on. Jay started falling and falling and falling until Zane used his icy powers to make a nice little slide to save Jay.
"Thanks," Jay said.
Meanwhile, a man was leisurely going to the bathroom when the wall was destroyed by the giant. The man screamed as Kai jumped into the bathroom to get through.
"Sorry. We totally should've knocked," Kai told him.
Luckily, Cole was uninjured, as well. He was currently being chased by the giant stone monster through the streets. Cole used his powers to make the road underneath of him unstable, and once the giant stepped onto it, he fell onto a power cord.
Jay saw this and used the electricity flowing through it to zap the giant.
He quickly got over it, though, and threw the cord away.
"He really doesn't like us now!" Jay said.
"They are no match for you," Harumi told her emperor. "Their resistance will fail."
As the ninja were being chased by the stone monster, Lloyd had woken up in the tea shop yelling, "Father!"
"It actually worked!" Mystake cheered. "That's a first."
"Lloyd, what is it?" Nya asked.
"I had a dream. O-of a giant. My father. He's trying to kill the-the next elemental master of earth?" Lloyd replied as she helped him up.
Nya noticed that her friend's eyes weren't glowing anymore. Why they glowed in the first place, she had no idea, but they stopped.
"What?" she asked.
"That is no dream," Mystake said. "That is a vision."
"Do-do you still have your power?" Nya asked.
Lloyd lifted up his arm and tried to summon his power, but it didn't work.
"I-I don't understand. I-I can't...Why can't I...?" Lloyd asked weakly.
"You're alive. That's all you need to know," Nya said.
"You need to get to the child before it's too late, and if Garmadon knows of him, he'll do everything in his power to get rid of him," Mystake explained.
"Why?" Nya asked.
"There are ways to hand your powers to an adoptive, but you are not ready to here how," Mystake replied.
"But, without my power I'm-I'm not the Green Ninja," Lloyd said.
"Don't say that," Nya told him.
"My father's still out there. I can't-I can't defeat him," Lloyd said.
"We need to fight on. Do you have any strength left?"
Lloyd started to get up and nodded.
As Nya was being a human crutch for Lloyd out of the shop, Mystake stopped them.
"Wait!" she called. "Take this with you," Mystake said as she was holding up a green packet and tied it around his waist. She then whispered something into his ear that Lloyd tried to believe. "You may not have power, but that was never what made you powerful," she said louder. "It was knowing what to do and when to do it."
"We need to hurry. They're not far," Nya told him.
"Now, go ninja. Go!" Mystake called. "The end is not the end, but only a new beginning!"
"We're no match for it," Zane told his friends as they hid in a small alley.
"Of all the big things we've fought, this is the biggest!" Jay exclaimed.
"We need the Bounty!" Cole said.
"Go! I'll keep it busy!" Pixal told them.
As Harumi and Garmadon were watching the fight, Garmadon heard something.
"What is it?" Harumi asked.
"Misako, and a...child?" Garmadon realized as he looked through a window of a nearby building.
"They pose no threat to you. The ninja should be our main priority," Harumi told him.
"Don't you get it! The child will be a ninja if they find out how to give away their powers!" Garmadon yelled.
"Do what you must," Harumi bowed as Garmadon walked away.
As Misako was feeding C.J. a bottle, she noticed a black figure staring at her from a distance.
"You ready for a trip," Misako told the boy as she put the bottle down.
She grabbed his blanket, wrapped him into it, and ran out the door only to be confronted by Garmadon, scaring C.J. and making him cry.
"What has happened to you?" Misako asked her ex.
Garmadon summoned his power and just as Misako and C.J. were about to get hit with it, Nya pushed them out of the way. Lloyd was right behind her.
"Go, Lloyd! Get him outta here!" Nya said as she handed her best friend's son to him.
"We can hold him back," Misako added before Lloyd ran away.
"You sure you're up for this?" Nya asked.
"I was married to him once. I'm up for anything," Misako replied.
The two girls charged at Garmadon and started fighting him. Garmadon managed to push Nya down, and just as he was about to do the same to Misako, she ducked out of the way, and his fist got stuck in the wall. Nya then ran up to Garmadon with her spear out, but even with one hand stuck he fought her off easily. Garmadon managed to get his fist unstuck, and he started fighting Misako. Right after he knocked her down, Nya came up with her trident in hand. Again, Garmadon threw her against the wall, and this time, he picked Nya's trident up and stuck her wrist between the wall and the trident. Misako ran up to him again, and hit and blocked punches. Just as she was about to kick him in the stomach, Garmadon grabbed her foot and flipped her over, causing her to land right on her face. As Garmadon was walking up to Misako he barely avoided getting hit with Nya's trident.
"Misako! Get down!" Nya ordered as she tried using the water pipes on the ceiling. After a while of building up the pressure, the water burst out of the pipe and knocked Garmadon to the other end of the hallway.
Meanwhile, Lloyd was carrying C.J. up to the roof of the flat. He checked to see if he could go one way, but the stone giant was in that direction. He then tried going the other way, only to get confronted by Harumi.
"Running will do you no good," Harumi said. "Give us the child."
"Is this what you want? To destroy the city, create more victims? Just think how many others will be made like you. This isn't what you want," Lloyd said as he backed away from her.
"Oh, no. This is just the beginning," Harumi replied before taking out the Mask of Hatred.
Lloyd clutched tighter to C.J. and ran in the other direction. He jumped onto a lower roof and onto another flat roof.
Harumi watched Lloyd go with a smile before she put on the mask.
Lloyd climbed up a ladder and ran on a pole for a tram before climbing up onto another roof. Harumi jumped and landed right in front of him. Lloyd tried to use his powers, but they still weren't working.
"Where are your powers, Lloyd, as your city falls?" she asked him in the creepy voice the mask gave her.
Lloyd just kept running away from the princess. Once he got to a support beam in between two buildings. He managed to run up it to get to the top, but he stopped at a railing on one of the roofs. He had nowhere else to go. At least, that's what Harumi thought.
"The Sons of Garmadon could always use one more. Join us," Harumi told him. After a while, she grew a liking to the green clad ninja, but you gotta do what you gotta do. If he wasn't joining she would kill him. Unless, Garmadon did it first.
Lloyd looked down from the railing before turning back to Harumi and saying, "Yeah, that never works."
And, he jumped! Harumi was confused by this and went over to the railing. She looked down to see Lloyd on top of a tram with C.J.
"I have C.J. Can any of you hear me?" Lloyd asked through the intercom. "Where is everyone?"
After a few seconds, Lloyd could hear Kai's voice right next to him.
"We hear you loud and clear," he said.
Kai, Zane, Jay, and Cole were on the Bounty while Zane was steering.
"Jump!" Cole yelled.
Cole looked at the distance between the two. He'd never make it.
"It's too far," he yelled back.
"Get us closer!" Jay told Zane.
Zane steered the Bounty a little closer to Lloyd, but it was still pretty far.
"She's as close as I can get her!" Zane told them.
As Zane was steering the Bounty, he almost hit one of the bridges in the city.
"Careful!" Kai told him.
"Are you actually doubting my ability to closely approximate the true values of our surrounding? I'm a nindroid," Zane said annoyingly.
Harumi kept chasing the tram until she got to a close enough distance to jump right in front of Lloyd again.
"You ninja have no idea what you're doing. Give me the child," Harumi ordered.
"Lloyd, jump! You can make it!" Kai yelled.
Lloyd looked at his friends, then Harumi, his friends again, and C.J. Lloyd jumped and just as Harumi grabbed his leg, he let go of C.J.
"Catch him!" Lloyd called.
"What!? No!" Cole yelled as he jumped off of the Bounty and grabbed his son.
It's a good thing the ninja had good reflexes, or else Cole and C.J. would've been goners. The three ninja made a chain, where Jay grabbed Cole and Kai grabbed Jay so they safely made it back on the ship.
Zane smiled at the scene, but when he looked back they had almost crashed into a building! He quickly steered out of the way to avoid it.
"We have to go back," Kai said.
"I'll circle around," Zane replied before doing so.
"You shouldn't have done that," Harumi told Lloyd.
Lloyd charged at her and managed to trap her hands behind her back, but Harumi managed to break free. Lloyd didn't get hit by her punches and managed to block a few.
As Zane was trying to get the Bounty back to Lloyd, they were caught by the stone monster. He picked up the ship like it was a child picking up his toy. Zane tried backing up, but the monster had a tight grip on the ship. It put a hand on each side of the ship and started crushing it in.
"No!" Lloyd yelled when he saw his friends.
Harumi had managed to trap Lloyd. She held him by his neck as she showed him what was happening to his friends.
"This is the end, Lloyd," Harumi told him. "Watch to see how you lose it all."
Harumi held Lloyd by the back of the collar of his suit. Just hanging off of the tram, being able to do nothing to save his friends.
On the Bounty, the ninja could hear it creaking. They heard every board that broke. They thought it was the end.
"Hands off you big oaf! We just had her repaired!" Jay yelled over the creaking and C.J.'s crying.
"What do we do?" Kai asked.
"I don't know!" Cole yelled back.
"I can't break free from its hold!" Zane yelled.
Pieces of the Bounty were now falling in the streets of Ninjago. The ninja could see the front of the Bounty get closer and closer.
"There has to be someway to get out of here!" Kai yelled.
"Well, I don't see anywhere to go!" Cole yelled back.
"To go," Jay thought. "'For your time of need, tea to go'! I think this is why she gave us this!" Jay yelled as he took the to go bag out.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Kai asked.
Jay walked up and opened the bag. Glowing stars came out and circled around the ninja. It was beautiful, but no one outside the Bounty could see it.
"I feel funny," Jay mentioned dizzily.
"What's happening?!" Kai yelled as the ninja disappeared right before the Bounty was crushed.
"No!" Lloyd yelled as he saw what had happened. The Bounty and his friends were gone, and he did nothing. He couldn't do anything.
"This. This is what I wanted. To see your father's return, and for you to lose everything," Harumi said. "How does it feel to see the end?"
Lloyd closed his eyes to feel tears fall from his face. They were gone. His father had killed them. His best friends in the whole world. The first family he ever had. He felt alone. Finally, he got up to face her. To face his friend's murderer.
"No!" he told her. "I won't let it do to me what it did to you. This isn't the end, Harumi, this is just the beginning. Without my power, without my friends, I'm gonna fight you. I'm gonna fight on because a ninja never quits."
"Well, then, goodbye, Lloyd," Harumi replied as she took out a sai blade.
"Before I go, just answer me this: You said the greatest villain was the one who got away," Lloyd said. "Then what am I?"
Harumi tried to kill Lloyd then and there. She even went for the head, but he ducked out of the way before jumping off of the tram. He used his parachute to safely land on a boat with Nya, his mother, and Pixal on it, leaving Harumi to just stare at the green parachute floating in the water with the Wu Cru symbol on it.
As Garmadon was looking over the now ruined city he smiled and said, "Ninjago is mine!"
I have one more chapter for this story before I start season 9, so stay tuned for that. I hope you all enjoyed it, and I appreciate every review I've gotten on my last chapter.
