Hello everyone I'm back, sorry this is taking a long time. Between School, Work, moving to a new house and all this COVID19 stuff it's hard to find time. P.S. Garlic and Onions, eat alot of those they boost the immune system.
Anyway this chapter is gonna focus mostly on Ben trying to run from the league, while fighting them. But where can the most wanted person on earth hide from a team of super hero's? Let's find out.
San Francisco
Ben was in an alley panting hard, not out of exhaustion but from the stress and shock of what happened. First he's accused of being a spy against the Justice League and the team. Then after getting out of the mountain had to make a beeline for the Providence zeta tube. He had only just barely reached it and turned into Upgrade so he could escape.
He disabled both Zeta's, but it was a miracle he wasn't captured so far.
"Gotta find a place to hide." Ben said to himself while pacing. "But where do I hide from the biggest super hero team on this earth?"
"Look it's Superman." A random citizen shouted in excitement. This was followed by gasps and other reactions of excitement seeing the Man of Steel. Ben poked his head out and saw the boy scout floating with the sun at his back, looking almost like a god or a glorious savior.
The Omnitrix wielder then pressed the dial again and began running hoping to turn into XLR8. Imagine his surprise when he began flying as he turned into some type of red and orange manta ray. Ben quickly dubbed him Jetray as he began flying as fast as he could. Superman saw this and began chasing him.
The two flew around the city looking like mere blurs to most people. After a short while Ben looked back and didn't see Superman. At first he thought he lost him, until he looked forward to see him coming at him. Thinking fast Ben quickly turned into Big Chill and turned intangible so he could go through Superman.
"I can still see you." The boy scout reminded Ben.
"How did you find me so fast anyways?" Ben asked, as he landed on a roof.
"Only three zeta tubes are down, two of which you caused." Superman replied. "Honestly not that hard."
Rather them continue, Ben turned into XLR8 again and began running as fast as he could. But no matter how fast he ran he couldn't get away.
(A.N. the reason Ben escaped Flash and not Superman is because he got a head start, not because Superman is faster than Flash)
Eventually Ben stopped running when he saw Superman waiting for him in the street. The street surprisingly had no cars for some strange reason, except those parked. "I'm not a mole!" XLR8 shouted to Superman, after lifting his visor.
"Look I don't wanna fight, come quietly and we'll treat you within your rights." Superman replied, before he asked the league if he could try to reason with Ben alone. His reason being that if he saw more leaguers he would feel fthreatened and would resist.
"Do you always lead with the good cop routine?" Ben asked. "I mean this is probably why nobody takes you that seriously. Plus the whole wearing your underwear on the outside of your pants."
"This isn't the time for jokes." Superman stated.
"No, it's time for dinner I feel like getting a shawarma." XLR8 replied with a smile, then had a confused look on his face. "Now what exactly is that? Can I get one around here even?" He questioned.
"I'm gonna go check." XLR8 said, hoping his comments are confusing Superman to give him a few seconds to run. However that fails as the Kryptonian uses his heat vision to fire right where Ben was going to step.
"You can't run forever, you're going to have to face the consequences." Superman told him, not wanting to use force.
"You're right." The alien hero replied, causing Superman to go, "Huh?", in confusion, but hoping he will come quietly. That is until Ben continued talking. "Blatantly running away from danger isn't really my style, but blatantly running into danger is. So if I wanna lose ya, (lowers his visor) I gotta beat ya." He then took a running position in the direction of the man of steel.
"Last chance: If do this, you'll be in serious trouble." Superman warned.
Ben then took off at Superman, who just stood there, confident he could take the hit. "Well you're about to be in." XLR8 began to say, before jumping at the man of steel and changing form.
The flash of light momentarily blinded Superman, distracting him from the two armed punch he was about to recieve. Because of XLR8's speed the hit from Fourarms was extra effective, resulting in Superman being flown back, skipping on the ground as he did so.
"Four times the trouble." Ben finished with a quip, as Superman recovered.
"Woah, what's going on?" "Are they fighting?" "Cool!" "Why are they fighting?" "My account is gonna blow up!" "Holy cow!" "This is gonna be awesome!" Comments such as these began to be said by civilians witnessing the events.
Superman got up, and shoulder tackled the fourarmed alien. It wasn't at full speed or force, but it still sent Ben back a decent distance. "This isn't a game!" Superman shouts. "We don't need to fight."
"Well I doubt you'll stop chasing me, besides." Ben begins to reply while punching his palms. "I kinda wanted to test my skills against the 'Man of Steel' that is what they call ya."
"Look I don't wanna do this, but if I have to I will bring you in by force." Superman said, getting into a stance.
"Come and get me boy scout." Fourarms replied, doing a 'come on' gesture with his two left hands.
Superman flew at Fourarms but before he could make contact, the shapeshifter to turn his body away so Superman would hit nothing but air. Not only that, but Ben grabbed his cape and using all his strength threw him down on the pavement.
"This is why I hate capes." Fourarms told the downed Kryptonian before delivering a series of punches. After three hits Superman grabbed one of Fourarms wrist, then predictably Fourarms tried to throw another punch which was also caught.
"Did you forget my name?" Ben sarcastically asks before using his two extra arms to deliver more blows to him. Getting tired of this Superman kicked him off sending him into the air.
Rather than crash Ben opted to change forms. With a green flash he now became Stinkfly who fire green goop from his at Superman. Superman tried to break free from it but since it was more of a sticky and goo like substance instead of a solid he couldn't.
So Superman responded by shooting his heatvision hoping to down his opponent. But Ben dodged all of the blasts.
"I don't just float like butterfly." Stinkfly said, before shooting a blast of goo onto Superman's face. Superman tried to rip it off but it just stuck to his fingers. So he opted to burn it off with his heatvision, which turned out to be a mistake since an explosion was caused right at his face. "I can also sting like Stinkfly." Ben quipped, before flying down at him.
As Superman was recovering he could see fine, but because of the proximity of the explosion he had a ringing in his ears for a while. "Peekaboo." He heard then saw Ben, who had transformed into Goop, coming straight at him.
Goop latched onto Superman's face and using it's acid began literally burning Superman's face. Superman gritted his teeth as he tried get Ben off of him. Despite his invulnerability Ben's attack still hurt, alot, plus he had no air to breath. "That's it. Feel the burn." Ben chided.
Eventually Superman squatted Goop's anti gravity projecter, causing Goop to fall down into a puddle. "Hey no fair." Ben whined.
As Superman was catching his breath, he had forgotten about the tiny UFO. So it was able to make it's way back to his owner. "Time for Rath." Ben said, before transforming only to get Frankenstrike. (series 1 version)
"Oh this guy?" Ben questioned. "I haven't used him in a fight since... well forever." Ben commented, before shooting green lightning at Superman.
With Zatanna
Zatanna was honestly really hoping for the rest of her day to be uneventful. She just wanted to sit back, relax and binge watch 'The Baker and The Beauty' while eating ice cream.
The magician was just a couple houses from her home, when she recieved a message on her phone. She took it out and saw it was from Ship, which was odd since he would normally just pop out to try to tell her something.
When she opened her phone a link was sent. She clicked on it and saw a video of Ben fighting Superman! 'Why are they fighting?' She thought.
Then a message popped up in her phone, again from Ship. "Danger Danger Danger." It read, like Ship was trying to warn her about something. Before she could even look around a new image popped up. It was a compass with an arrow pointing to her house.
"Is that where the danger is?" She texted, and received an immediate, 'Yes' as the answer. Rather then run away Zatanna kept walking toward her house. Thanks to Ship she wasn't going to be surprised. Or so she thought.
Soon Zatanna entered her house and walked in looking around for an intruder or an ambush. She was half expecting it to happen when she walked in, but to her surprise it didn't. What was going on?
"Zatanna." Someone called her name, and Zatanna jumped in fright. She turned and realized it was only her father. "You scared me." She said, putting her hand on her chest. "I wasn't expecting you."
"Then who were you expecting?" Zatara questioned, and by the tone of his voice Zatanna could tell something was wrong with her father.
"What are you doing here?" Zatanna wondered curiously, while avoiding his question. "You said you were doing league work." She reminded her father.
"Why did you lie to me?" Giovanni questioned.
"Lie to you?" Zatanna repeated. "Lie to you about what? What are you talking about?" She asked, generally confused about what her father was talking about.
The older spellcaster narrowed his eyes at his daughter. "The fact you lied to me about who you have been with. And with what you have been doing."
Zatanna's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you find out?" She asked.
"That does not matter, what matters is you put yourself in a very dangerous position." Giovanni told her. "Not only have you been with a boy and endangering yourself but you have been with a criminal."
"Dad I can-" Zatanna began to say, when she cut herself as she processed the last words of her father. "Criminal? Ben isn't-."
"Whatever he is does not change the fact you disobeyed me." Zatara cut her off. "I'm glad that you're not hurt-"
"Ben would never hurt me!" Zatanna cut her off. She had slightly been afraid of Ben breaking her heart, but to think he would actually physically harm her, Zatanna couldn't begin to think how ridiculous that was. "You never even met him, you just believe the stereotypes from TV, and not even the good ones."
"He's my boyfriend whether you like it or not. Deal with it." Zatanna added, with confidence.
"He was using you, to try to get information on the league." Zatara replied.
"Yeah right." Zatanna said, rolling her eyes. "Let me guess you think he's some spy or whatever." She correctly guessed. "You're either being paranoid or using this as an excuse." She stated.
"Is this why Superman is attacking him?" She asked, rhetorically. "Course it is."
"Do you even have an actual reason to do this?" She questioned.
"He has not returned the key for the Tower of Fate for starters." Zatara replied.
"That's it? I have it, he gave it to me." She answered.
Zatara widened his eyes for moment, but decided to leave it for later. "He also did not inform the League or anyone about a possible mole-."
"In the team." She finished, before adding. "He told me that. Said he didn't think a mole was on there, but if there was he didn't wanna tip them off."
"There is also the matter of him forcing you to join him in his dangerous endeavors." He added.
"I volunteered. Next" She replied.
"He also stole technical equipment. At the same time he was not in the Mountain nor in contact with the team or league." Zatara stated, and added. "We even have footage of his aliens."
This actually threw Zatanna for a loop for a moment, before shaking her head. "That's not true. You're lying." She said, confidently then crossed her arms and turned away.
She then felt her phone vibrate rapidly in her pocket. So as her father kept lecturing her she took it. It was a bunch of texts from Ship telling her to 'RUN' but she had no idea why. There was no danger, other than her father, but she could easily handle that.
The screen on her phone changed again, this time to the camera feature in reverse. She saw herself, obviously, but then saw a black figure coming down on her. Reacting quickly she formed a dome of mana to protect herself.
She looked to see what, or rather who, landed tried to ambush her and saw it was Batman! What is he doing in this? Seeing that her father was probably about to cast a spell Zatanna cast her own. "Gag mih!" Then instantly her fathers tie wrapped around his mouth. "Abaeo Exorior!" She called next to escape.
Zatara soon released himself from the gag and glared daggers at Batman. "I told you not to interfere!" He reminded.
"There's an unknown third party who was warning her." Batman informed. "It's why I couldn't access her phone and why she was so alert when she came in."
"Great now we now we have to capture my daughter and someone else." Zatara groaned, he really did not want to fight his family.
With Ben
Chromastone was thrown into the side of a building, but recovered quickly. "Look just stop it doesn't have to be like this." Supeman requested as he landed not too far away from Ben.
"You mean with me beating you." Chromastone replied, confusing Superman for a moment. This gave Ben an opening to shoot a rainbow colored blast from his head at the man of steel. The blast hit his face paralyzing him for a moment allowing Ben to turn into Heatblast and shoot a huge blast of flame at him.
"I guess the fight is really heating up." Heatblast quipped with a chuckle. "I really need someone to write these down." He told himself, but was blasted by Superman's heatvision into a tractor trailer truck. The blast accidentally caused Ben to go from Heatblast to Rath.
the tiger like alien groaned as he got into a seating position. He put his hand on the ground to steady himself, only to feel something crack under his hand. Looking down, Rath's eyes widened as he saw what was inside, top of the line smoothie machines.
"You… You made me hurt the smoothies." He muttered but then a primal, animalistic snarl passed through his fangs as he got to his feet. He clenched his fists as his claws extended twice their length.
"Can we we please-" Superman began to say only to be tackled by Rath. The two rolled onto the ground until they they stopped with Rath on top punching Superman.
"Let me tell ya something you overgrown boy scout of America knockoff!" Rath said, briefly stopping his punching before continuing.
"You can hurt me! (punch) You can hurt my friends! (punch punch) You can hurt the things I stand for! (punch punch punch) You can hurt my reputation or my aliens! (punch punch) You can even hurt my feelings if I had any! (punch punch punch) But nobody! (punch) And I mean nobody! (punch) Ever! (punch) Hurts! (grabs Superman's collar and pulls him) The Smoothies!!!!!" He shouts in his face.
Superman blinked in a confusion for a moment. "Wait, you're this mad over a dumb drink?" He asked confused.
~SNAP~
Rath narrowed his eyes and growled before grabbing Superman's throat and throwing him down on the pavement over and over. "Let me tell ya something no so super Superman. Rath will make you eat your words after you eat the pavement!" Rath told Superman, not stopping.
Rath then threw Superman down the street, about the distance of half of football field. As Superman hit the ground he created a long trench.
"Taurus Takedown!" Superman heard Rath shout, and as he opened his eyes just in time to see tackle him once again. This increased the length of the trench.
Rather than be the punching bag, Superman flew towards Rath at high speed, hoping to deliver a huge blow. But instead Rath leaned to the side at the last second and grabbed his cape. He then proceeded to spin round and around. "Hercules Toss!" Rath shouted before releasing his grip, sending Superman flying up high into the side of a building.
Superman groaned, from the impact and the dizziness, as he started to fall. Rath didn't stay still, he got on all fours and began climbing the building quickly. "Uranas Uppercut!" He shouted delivering an uppercut to the falling hero.
The attack sent Superman flying in another direction, Rath then jumped and wraped his arms and legs around Superman with his head pointing down. "Polaris Piledriver!" Rath called as they descended back down.
They hit the groumd with a huge crash, and a giant dust cloud formed. Superman may have had invulnerability, but even he had to admit, he was taking a beating. And it wasn't over.
"Sirius Buttkicking!" Rath called out before kicking Superman out of the crater.
"Let me tell ya something not so Superman!" Rath began to say as Superman, once again, crashed on the ground. "Never insult the smoothies!"
"Look." Superman started to say as he began to get back up. "I don't want to do this. If I wanted to, it would be over already."
"Let me tell ya something ya blue boy scout, you think you're sooooo great huh, 'I'm Superman, I'm more powerful than you cause I'm from another planet." Rath mocked.
"What exactly are you saying?" Superman asked confused as to where this conversation was going.
"Sure you save lives and the planet, but you do it for people to like ya." Rath accuses Superman. "Rath does what does because it's what Rath wants to do, whether or not little babbies like you think."
"That's not true." Superman denied.
"Oh really." Rath said, with a roll of his eyes. "Let me tell ya something Superman, without those powers of yours, you're just a little weak baby who doesn't have what it takes." Rath added, making Superman a bit annoyed.
Watchtower
Batman was observing the fight on a screen and knew what Ben's angle was. "Clark don't listen, he's trying to make you angry." He warned, but recieved no response.
"His comm must be damaged." Batman deduced. "Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel get in." He ordered.
Back to the fight
"It's no wonder your parents abandoned a weak baby like you." Rath continued, striking a sensitive nerve of Superman's.
Ben could almost hear Superman growl and was both scared and glad. He had kept Rath in the game hoping to get Superman angry enough so that he would make amateurish mistakes. Downside was, he wasn't entirely sure how to exploit those, soon to be, mistakes.
Superman charges at Rath in full fury, but the alien shapeshifter changes form just as he's about to make contact. After the flash Superman found himself past where Ben had been standing. He looked and saw no one in sight.
"What's the matter?" Superman heard a creepy voice ask. "Did I strike a nerve?" He heard again. "I'm so sorry." It said, before continuing. "That you can't handle the truth." He added, with a creepy laugh.
"Show yourself!" Superman demanded, extremely annoyed by the game Ben was playing.
"Ok." The being complied, and next thing Superman saw was a Ghostfreak appearing in front of him, this caused him to blink in surprise. "Don't tell me you're afraid of little old Ghostfreak?" He tauntes.
Superman just gritted his teeth and tried to punch the alien, but his hits just went straight through. After a short time he stopped realizing it was pointless.
"My turn." Ghostfreak said, before throwing a punch and at the same time changed form. When the flash died down, Superman was sent back by Diamondhead.
As he was hit Superman felt that last punch hurt more than the others. In his thoughts Ben took the opportunity to deliver an uppercut to the man of steel, sending him flying.
As Superman was recovering from the last hit he saw Diamondhead aim his hands at him. "Special delivery." He quipped before shooting multiple shards at him. Superman remained calm and began swatting them away with success. Until...
"Ugh." Superman hissed in pain as one shard got past him, and grazed his cheek. He didn't really pay much attention to it until he saw Diamondhead smirking at him.
"You got a little something there." He told him, pointing to his own cheek.
Out of curiosity he reached up to his right cheek and felt a liquid dripping down. He looked at his fingers and saw it was blood his blood. How though? This wasn't Kryptonite, nor was it magic.
Many people who saw this gasped.
With Batman
He was looking at the screen and his eyes widened slightly.
With Zatanna
After teleporting away began making her way to San Francisco to help Ben. She was inside Ship, who had transformed into a car to avoid being easily spotted by the league. She was looking at the fight on her phone, and like everyone watching she was surprised. "Woah!" She admitted
"Ship Ship?" Ship asked, while driving.
"I don't know if I can take on Superman." Zatanna admitted. "But I have an idea for us to hide." She added, holding up the key to the tower of Fate.
Back to the fight
Ben smiled as he thought of the perfect way to stop Superman. He ran at the shocked Man of Steel and delivered a right cross, causing Superman to stumble back. "You think you're so brave." Ben mocked, as he kept up the punches.
"You're not." Ben added, before grabbing him by his shoulders. Then with the use of his powers began encasing Superman's body in diamond. "Man are brave." He told him, soon the diamond was creeping to his face, but before it could cover his face, Ben stopped.
He wanted to beat the Kryptonian, not suffocate him to death. He then pushed him on the ground, and Superman laid there, struggling as he tried to break free, but to no avail.
"Well that's a win." Diamondhead said with a smile then his eyes widened. "I just jinxed it didn't I?"
Then as if answering him, Wonder Woman tackled him from the side. Captain Marvel then landed by Superman. "Hey Supes." He greeted cheerfully. "Still think we can talk him into surrendering?" He asked.
"Just get me out of this." Supeman requested still trying to break out. Marvel then proceeded to do just that, but he was not prepared for how tuff it is?
With Ben
Going from Superman to Wonder Woman was not as easy as Ben had thought. Unlike Superman, Wonder Woman spent her whole life training to use her powers like a warrior.
Right now they were locking blades, Ben with right arm in the form of a sword and Wonder Woman with an actual sword. Ben then headbutt her, causing her to jolt back a bit. But she responded with her own headbutt, which forced Ben to take a couple steps back.
Before he could recover Wonder Woman did a front kick sending Diamondhead into the side of a car. Ben rubbed his head as he regained his footing.
He saw Wonder Woman with a stern look, while she held her sword. "Come on golem, I'm getting bored." She taunted.
"Not gonna work on me Lady Liberty." Ben responded before charging at her while changing his form. As expected the flash blinded her and when the light faded Wildmutt appeared and tackled Wonder Woman.
The Amazon fell down and was pinned as Wildmutt roared at her. However this did not last long as she kicked the dog like alien off her. "It will take more than that to defeat me." She told him, before taking out her lasso and wrapping it around Wildmutt's neck.
"I compel you to surrender!" She demanded before pulling as hard as she could. Wildmutt tried to resist but he was slowly being pulled towards her.
Rather than keep this game of tug-of-war going Ben changed form. When the flash died down Ben was gone. The Amazon kept a ready stance, not sure where an attack would come from.
Suddenly she found her left cheek getting struck by something forcing her to jolt her head to the right. "What was that?" She asked.
She looked for her opponent but didn't see him anywhere, just civilians holding out their phones at her. A sudden strike to the back of her knee broke her thoughts as the blow forced her leg to bend and made her kneel. Another hit to her shoulder almost knocked her down to the ground, if she hadn't put her hand on the ground.
Soon she kept getting his from multiple directions at rapid speeds. However there was a pattern, so after several seconds, and dozens of hits, Wonder Woman swung her left arm.
XLR8 saw this and veered to the right and grabbed her lasso. Then running around in circles wrapping it around her and tying her up. "What's my time?" XLR8 asked, once he was done.
"Time us up speedy." A new voice spoke, causing Ben to see Green Lantern's Hal Jordan and Captain Marvel.
"Weren't you with supes trying to free him?" XLR8 questioned, while lifting up his visor.
"And he did." Superman spoke from behind Ben.
"Took a little while." Captain Marvel admitted, then rubbed his knuckles. "What was that stuff made of?"
"Don't forget about me." Another new voice spoke, this time it was Flash, who raced in and quickly untied Wonder Woman.
"Anyone else, or is the gang all here?" Ben asked sarcastically, though nervous as he was very outnumbered.
"Us too." Another voice said, confirming Ben's fears. It was Captain Atom, Green Lantern John Stewart and Zatara.
"Well..." Ben trailed off as he now saw himself against Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, two Green Lantern's, Captain Marvel, Captain Atom and Zatara. For a total of 8 against 1, though that 1 can turn into multiple forms. "I'm in quite a pickle." He finished.
"Pickle, really? That's the best you got?" Hal Jordan said, he had heard about his talent for having a big mouth.
"Yeah I was expecting something better." Captain Marvel added.
"What did you want me to say?" XLR8 replied. "Something like 'those are bad odds for you' or how about, 'I plan on dying tonight' that." He said, mimicking some stuff from tv.
"He's stalling until he can come up with a plan." Captain Atom said. "Old tactic, but if used effectively can help."
"Way to ruin the fun." XLR8 whined.
"Look come on, you can't take all of us on." Flash said.
"Surrender while you're in a more favorable position." Wonder Woman added.
"Before anyone gets hurt." Superman told Ben.
"Yeah..." Ben dragged on. "Not gonna happen, one way or another I'm gonna win."
The league members looked at eachother in surprise. "You're surrounded, outnumbered and outmatched." John Stewart reminded him.
"Yeah why do you think you're gonna win?" Flash asked.
"Cause." Ben started. "It's just what I do." Ben vaguely explained with a shrug.
"With what dumb luck?" Superman asked and no sooner did he say that he was hit by a green blast.
"Ship!" Was heard and everyone turned to see Ship in his spaceship form. It's guns and cannons were positioned forward ready to fire. On top was Zatanna wearing the blue and black outfit from before, with a smug look behind her disguise.
"Why yes." Ben answered with a smile, thanking lady luck, before running away at full speed. However Flash and Captain Marvel, using his speed of mercury, were soon after him.
"Ship!" Ship bellowed out before firing dozens of missiles at the remaining members.
"I got this." Hal Jordan called, before forming a Bofors 40 mm gun Anti-Aircraft gun and firing it. He quickly blew up all the missiles, but that just left a huge smoke cloud.
And while it was dissipating Ship charged straight at the Green Lantern and sent him flying. Ship then fired multiple cannons shooting lasers forcing everyone to go on the defensive.
As Wonder Woman was using her bracelets to block the laser, she found herself getting blindsided by Zatanna, as she fired a stream of magic at her. "Teewat Ligara!" She then casted, creating a silver whirlwind that blew the Amazon into Captain Atom.
Soon they recovered and began trying to deal with Ship, but not with her. Strange? At least until she felt a presence behind her, and already knowing who it was. He father.
"Daddy." Zatanna simply stated.
"Zatanna my daughter I am so sorry." Zatara said, before very very reluctantly firing a blast of magic at her. Zatanna replied with her own spell. "Twista Combetitus!" Creating a giant cobra around her, sheilding her from the blast.
With Ben
Like how the fight initially began Ben was running around the city. But unlike last time he now had three pursuers and wasn't running away. 'Come and get me.' Ben thought.
At the moment Flash was on his tail and as he made a turn he Captain Marvel coming straight at him. XLR8 smiled at this, having a simple, but perfect, plan into mind.
XLR8 increased his speed, forcing Flash to do the same. Soon he was almost within arms reach of both of them, but just before that he changed form.
He was Big Chill again, and aince he turned intangible there is nothing for them to grab. And both were going to fast, they couldn't stop. So thinking fast Flash began vibrating his molecules so that he would only go through Marvel.
But something interfered, since Flash was going through Big Chill, whose intangibility froze objects, it slowed him down. So there was nothing stopping them from colliding with eachother. At least if it wasn't for Superman pushing Captain Marvel, but because of the force and speed he caused them to crash hard into a building.
"Looks like they're gonna need some ice." Ben quipped with a chuckle, while staying intangible. That was a good move since Flash tried to throw a punch at Big Chill. Resulting in frost covering his arm.
"Yeah..." Ben dragged out. "Not gonna work Speedy." He said, before going up and breathing out ice shards at him. Flash easily dodged these, but was so busy paying attention to those he didn't notice the ground freeze. So eventually he lost traction and like a cartoon fell down.
Ben then changed into Chromastone and fired a rainbow colored beam at from his hands at the downed speedster. After that Chromastone found himself tackled by Captain Marvel and sent into the side of a building.
Superman followed that up with his heatvision, but Chromastone absorbed that fired it back. Superman decided to go for a punch and as he did Ben changed form again.
He was Greymatter, and because of his size Superman missed tremendously. But Captain Marvel kept his eye on the little guy and quickly scooped him up. "Gotcha." He said.
But a green light passing through the gaps in his fingers quickly changed that. Ben changed into Fourarms and delivered a two armed uppercut to Marvel. But he was then punched by Superman and sent flying.
As he was about to again crash into another building Ben changed form. This time he was Cannonbolt and was in ball form. Thanks to this he bounced off the wall right back at Superman, sending him into a car.
Cannonbolt wasn't done, using his surroundings he bounced off multiple objects and headed straight back at Superman. However Flash, who had by now recovered, spun his arms creating a tornado blowing him off course.
However like a game of pinball, Cannonbolt just bounced off several surfaces before hitting Captain Marvel from a different angle. This kept going on, each time one knocked Cannonbolt away, another would get hit.
With Zatanna
As Zatanna continued her magical duel, Ship kept firing at Leaguers. As she stopped another blast, Zatanna threw a sphere of mana in the air above her father. It split into multiple pieces that rained down on Zatara.
Despite the surprise of his daughter using such high level magic he created a barrier to protect himself. He had no idea where she could have learned these spells.
Once the attack concluded Zatara looked around for Zatanna but couldn't find her. She had used the attack as a distraction so that her fathers attention would be elsewhere for a moment. Giving her the time to go around him and shooting a magic chain from her bag, wrapping it around him.
"Sorry daddy." Zatanna apologized befofe using magic to knock him out.
"Batter up." Green Lantern Hal Jordan said, creating a large bat and swinging it down at Ship. The alien responded by firing several more rockets at the bat. The construct shattered of course and the test pilot too if he hadn't created a bubble around himself.
This was just a distraction for Captain Atom to fire a huge energy blast from close range. This created and explosion causing Ship to transform back into his original form as he hit a wall.
"That's what we're fighting?" Hal Jordan stated, in confusion as to how such a tiny thing could have so much destructive capabilities.
"Must be his dog." Captain Atom said, voicing what others might have thought.
Ship heard this, and narrowed his eye in anger. He did not like being called a dog. Even though he acted like it at times.
So he changed his form into a giant railway cannon known as the Schwerer Gustav (Giant German WW2 gun). And it was pointed right at the four Leaguers Ship was facing.
"That's a big gun." John Stewart stated, while readying his ring.
"Think he's over compensating for something." Hal Jordan joked, trying to lighten the mood.
As Ship was getting ready to fire the massive cannon, Zatanna's voice rang out. "Ship no! Bad boy!"
"Ship Shiiiip." Ship whined.
"I don't care." Zatanna replied. "You're not gonna blow up an entire block just because of that." She told him sternly, like a mother scolding a child. Ship then reluctantly transformed back into his normal form.
"Well that just happened." Hal Jordan stated, before making a rocket launcher and firing off a shot at the little guy. Ship responded by jumping at a nearby Ducati motorcycle and dodging the attack, and running away with Zatanna hopping on.
However the league soon began to chase after them.
"Kalecky Erupt!" Zatanna casted causing spiky rocks to appear behind her. She wasn't done though, as she casted a new spell. "Meton Wheigts!" Causing the rocks to be lifted in the air and then fired at her pursuers.
They easily blocked the attack of cours, Wonder Woman using her bracelets and strength. The Green Lantern creating shields and Captain Atom blast them. But the resulting smoke blocked their view and now they couldn't see where Zatanna and Ship sped off too.
Back with Ben
He was still Cannonbolt and was either bouncing off Captain Marvel, Flash, Superman or whatever object that was around. It was like a giant game of pinball that Ben was winning, though not by much. Even though Ben had been delivering hit after hit, he was getting dizzy.
After the umpteenth time of getting hit by the giant ball like alien, decided to tried and grab Cannonbolt. So when Cannonbolt came at him he held out his hands to stop him. When he made contact, he had to dig his feet to prevent himself from falling over. The friction then began burning his hands so much smoke began to appear, until finally Cannonbolt stopped spinning.
"Why'd you stop?" The Arburian Pelarota complained. "I was having a ball." He quipped, which actually made Flash and Marvel chuckle.
"Finally people who know good comedy!" Ben exexclaimed.
"Any other little tricks you wanna show us?" Superman sarcastically asked, thinking he has taken on everything Ben has thrown at him.
"Actually I got a big one." Ben replied, while still in ball form. "In fact it's Humongous." Ben added, before changing in a flash.
However instead of getting Humungousaur, Ben got a new alien. This one was a large, bulky, reddish-brown alien with rocky skin, a giant mouth with teeth that are also made of rocks, and a molten lava planet core at the center of his body. His feet were tan with three toes, and he has three fingers and one thumb on each hand. Wearing black shorts with green stripes, a green belt with white stripes and the Omnitrix symbol on his forehead.
"Another new guy, not now Omnitrix." Ben complained. "What does he even do?" He questioned.
"You can figure it out another time." Superman said, thinking they had the upper hand now. After all since Ben didn't know how to use his powers, he can't use him effectively.
Flash not wanting to give Ben a chance ran at him, hoping to deliver a series of blows. He didn't want to hurt the kid, but Batman made it clear not to underestimate him. Although had he taken a moment to slow down, he would have seen small rocks around Ben slowly start to rise.
As Flash ran at Ben, some unknown force forced him away from him. Like he was lifted up and pushed into another direction. Ben then felt his inner alien instincts kick in and smiled, now knowing what this alien was capable of.
All three hero's then charged at Ben from different directions hoping to blitz him. But Ben's hands glowed a whitish-purple as he lifted them. Then by controlling the gravity around them forced them into the air.
"I'll call this guy Gravattack." Ben stated before spinning the three hero's. "Round and round the world you go, when you'll stop nobody knows." Gravattack sang with a smile.
"Well actually I do." Ben said, with a knowing smirk before sending them all flying in three different directions. "Feels good."
Just then Zatanna, on Ship came zoomed in but came to a screeching halt. "Let's go!" She urged.
"What are you talking about? I'm kicking butt." Gravattack stated incredulously, but just then the Omnitrix timed out. "Never mind." He said as he got on.
But as Ship only went forward ten feet he came to an abrupt halt. "What?" The two teens asked, wondering why he had stopped. Ship then popped a head and looked to the right, and when Ben and Zatanna did they smiled knowing what Ship had in mind.
"He's been looking forward to this hasn't he?" Ben asked, already knowing the answer.
"Big time." Zatanna answered with a nod.
Scene Change
Ben and Zatanna were now riding in Ship who absorbed a Chevy Camaro. Zatanna was in the driver's seat and Ben in the passenger side. They were now speeding on a freeway at high speed to Harlem, to the Tower of Fate.
"Why are we going to the Tower, can't they get in themselves?" Ben asked, after all even if they had a key to the tower, wouldn't the league have more, or other ways to get in.
"Cause this key is the only one the league has." Zatanna explained. "Plus my dad said there's a spell around the tower that acts like a security system, no one gets in without special permission."
"I'm sensing a but." Ben stated, knowing there was usually a hiccup in situations like this.
"Actually no." Zatanna admitted, surprising Ben a bit. "Just have to turn it on and we can hide there until we figure out a way to clear your name."
"Thanks again by the way, you didn't have to do this." Ben said, appreciating what she and Ship are doing.
"You're my boyfriend." Zatanna stated. "You'd do the same for me."
beep beep beep beep
Zatanna and Ben looked at the dash and saw a screen showing like radar. Multiple blips were coming at them from behind, the two teens looked at the mirrors and saw the Justice League coming.
"How far until we reach Harlem?" Ben asked.
"Your destination is 2,500 miles away." Ship said, using the GPS's voice.
"We'll never outrun them by car." Ben stated, even if Ship was going five hundred miles an hour that was still too slow.
"Just for an hour." Zatanna stated, while holding up a card painted to look like a door. "Takes a while to charge, but then we can basically go anywhere."
"In that case eject me, I have an idea." Ben said, once he saw the Omnitrix regained it's power.
"Ship." Ship said, before opening the top and shooting Ben up high out of his seat.
"Ship!" Zatanna exclaimed. "He didn't even tell us his plan!"
With Ben
Ben was now falling down. "It's time for Gravattack again." He said, his plan was to use Gravattack powers to simply keep them in place for the time needed. Not a very creative plan, but still a plan. Superman saw Ben falling straight towards them and flew up.
"Hero time!" Ben stated, slamming the Omnitrix in mid air. But instead of getting Gravattack he got Humungousaur, but decided he can roll with it. As expected the flash blinded Superman momentarily so he didn't see Humungousaur's giant fist until he was already being punched.
Humungousaur continued his path down and when he landed it was as if an earthquake hit. "You all made a Humungous mistake." Ben quipped, while tossing Superman.
"Well you can kiss my axe." Green Lantern Hal Jordan replied, swinging a giant axe construct. Of course it was easily blocked by Humungousaur's thick hide. He himself was then punched, and the Shield construct only shattered upon impact.
Flash then ran around Humungousaur in circles at high speed, hoping to generate lightning to throw at him. However Ben merely raised both his arms on the ground and pounded the earth beneath him. This created a shockwave causing him to trip up and fall.
"I can do this all day." Ben commented, but then found himself being thrown by Captain Marvel who had grabbed him by his tail. Once he was above him, Marvel shouted. "SHAZAM!" Then instantly lightning shot down from the sky, striking Humungousaur.
Humungousaur was then caught in an explosion, he then found himself being hit from different directions. Rather than take the hits, Ben again transformed, this into Echo Echo.
"Let's make some noise." Ben said, but before he could split up his mouth was magically shut by Zatara. Wonder Woman then threw her lasso at the supposedly vulnerable alien, but just as it was about to reach him, he disappeared.
Then rockets began to rain down from the sky as Ship shot them from a distance. They kept forgetting that Ben wasn't their only opponent.
As the missiles stopped the league found themselves surrounded by a circle of Echo Echo's. "Echo Chamber!" Ben called, as they all fired their sonic cries at the same time. Add into the fact that the sound wave crossed each other's path amplifying it the damage it did. Especially for Superman who's Super hearing made him extra vulnerable to sound attacks.
"Pmup pu eht emulov!" Zatanna chanted, increasing the power of each Echo Echo. Increasing the damage even further.
The attack would have been kept up if it weren't for multiple Echo Echo's being tossed away, without being touched. This caused Ben to stop and look around, in confusion and before he knew it all the Echo Echo's were sent flying.
Zatanna was about to use a spell to reveal where this sneak attack was coming from. If it weren't for Green Lantern John Stewart wrapping a construct around her mouth like a muzzle. Hal Jordan followed that up by putting her in bindings to prevent her from doing anything else.
"Don't let her go!" Stewart shouted to his corp member.
"What!" Hal Jordan shouted confused. "Don't let her mow, mow what?" He asked, the last attack messing uo his hearinf temporarily.
"More what!?" John Stewart questioned in a shout, his hearing also affected.
"Ok!" Came Hal's reply.
Back with Ben, the alien shapeshifter just changed into Heatblast and created a tornado of flames. Soon the nearby camouflaged Martian Manhunter, revealed himself now sweating from the flames.
"What's the matter?" Heatblast asked, rhetorically. "Can't take the heat." He quipped, before shooting two streams of fire by him. Ben wasn't trying to kill him, but he knew enough exposure to flames would knock him unconscious.
Once Manhunter passed out Ben was hit by a blast of radiation from Captain Atom. This followed up by Wonder Woman wrapping her lasso around and yanking him towards her. As she was about to punch him he transformed again, and found her fist punching a green goop.
Ben didn't stay Goop for long, because he knew the League would go after his Antigravity projecter. So he was now Fourarms against and used his opening to throw Wonder Woman at Captain Atom.
As the two hit the ground Captain Atom saw his suit was breached. So he flew at his fastest speed straight up in space until he was a safe distance away.
(A/N don't known too much about Captain Atom, but I do know if his suit is breached he can explode like a nuke)
Ben then changed into XLR8 and ran at the Green Lantern's who had trapped his girlfriend. But he was only halfway there when Flash shoulder tackled him from the side. "Gotta be quicker then that." Flash quipped.
Ben again was enveloped in a green flash, signaling that he was transforming. Flash ran at Ben hoping to stop him as fast as possible. Before the flash dissappeared a blast of ice was shot out freezing the speedster mid run. Ben turned out to be Arctiguana.
Ben was then blindsided by Wonder Woman and the two began another struggle.
With Zatanna
Zatanna struggled to break free, since both her hands and mouth covered she couldn't do any magic. "Ugh finally the ringing is going away." Hal Jordan said in relief, while cleaning out one of his ears with his pinky.
Zatanna for some reason had a eureka moment, she looked down at her left side and saw her bag was still there. Sp focusong all her strength, she mentally commanded small stone golems to launch out of her bag. Once they hit the ground they immediately grew in size and began to attack the Green Lantern's.
Once she was freed, she threw a dozen more, while they weren't too difficult to take out it would take a little while to stop them. She then looked around and wondered where Ship was and if Ben was okay?
She got one of her answers when she saw Ben as Diamondhead get hit by Marvel. Then tossed a by Wonder Woman in the air, only to be smacked down by Superman.
Angered by how cruel Ben was being attacked, Zatanna felt a rush of power. Then her body changed entirely. Her body was now made of pure mana in the color of dark purple. Her hair was still in the same style, but it was now made of white mana and on fire, like her mana fire balls. He eyes were also just pure white.
Zatanna then extended her hands forward and three multiple blasts at the same time. These sent Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman and Superman to the ground, and she didn't let up. For several seconds she had them at her mercy, until she just lost all that power. Her body returned to normal, and she had to kneel on the ground in exhaustion.
Ben who had witnessed everything went over to her as he changed back into human. "What was that?" Zatanna struggled to ask while Ben helped her to her feet.
"You kinda went anodite." Ben said, surprising her, she wasn't an alien. "Hey how's the card?" Ben asked, switching the topic back to their escape.
Zatanna took it out and saw it was ready to be used, so she threw it on the ground and a door appeared, and opened itself. This would take them into Harlem, but not near the Tower of Fate.
"Not so fast." A voice shouted, before they could even walk to the door. They turned and that League (except Zatara) recovered, escaped, or finished from whatever obstacle that was sent their way.
The two teens gritted their teeth in frustration, they were most certainly gonna be captured now. Zatanna was low on power, while Ben had used up the power of the Omnitrix for a while.
However everyone seemed to be forgetting one more crucial figure. "SHIIIIIIP!" Said figured shouted as he took the form of a robot and landed right in between the two parties. Ship then fired a rocket behind him, where his owner was, when it hit the ground and exploded it sent Ben and Zatanna flying into the door. The door itself closed and disappeared once it did and Ship took a battle stance.
The League then looked at Ship and were all ready for a fight, but Ship spoke up first. Using recordings from movies he said. "This is exactly what I wanted, all of you against all of me."
"You can't beat all of us." Green Lantern stated.
"Yeah we'll break you into pieces." Marvel added.
"Nobody has to break anything." Wonder Woman said, knowing if they fight it will only be a waste of time.
"Clearly you've never made an omelet." Ship answered.
"Okay he beat me by like one second." Flash added.
"What are you trying?" Superman asked.
"So glad you asked." Ship began to say while moving his hand theatrically. "Because I wanted to take this time to tell you my evil plan." He stated, mimicking a voice while also suddenly changing posture and firing several rockets at them.
With Ben and Zatanna
Once they were blown in the door they landed in an alley in Harlem. "Ow that hurt." Ben said, placing a hand on his head.
"Yeah let's not do that again." Zatanna groaned while sitting up, then a look of realization hit her face. "Ship is still there." She then quickly got up, which turned out to be a mistake since she almost fell back down if Ben hadn't caught her.
"Look you're exhausted, and I'm out of power." Ben reasoned. "Even if we could get back to him, how are we gonna help in our state?" He explained.
"When did you become the voice of reason?" Zatanna asked, confused by his mature behavior.
"Guess I'm having an off day." Ben replied. "Now let's head to the Tower."
"Ok but I'm just really worried about Ship." Zatanna reluctantly agreed, as she and Ben began to slowly make their way to the Tower.
"I'm more worried about the League." Ben replied with confidence, making Zatanna smile.
Back with Ship
Ship just blasted away an attack from Captain Marvel. Then after calculating Flash's path, fired several lasers at where his feet were going to land causing him to trip.
"I'm a wicked warrior robot!" Ship stated, showing his excitement as he fired blasts of green lasers at his would be attackers. He was excited since nobody was around he could go all out.
"Damn!" He then exclaimed as Martian Manhunter sent giant rocks his way. But he was pushed back with the use of a giant flamethrower on Ship's arm.
"You wanna piece of me?!" Ship shouted, as he grabbed Superman by his cape and threw him on the ground. Then kicked him like a soccer ball.
"Back kick." Ship said with no emotion performing the move against Wonder Woman. "Knife hand." A green train construct. "Round house." Flash. "Hammerfist." On Captain Marvel after he flew up.
When Captain Marvel hit the ground he realized he had something in his pocket. Taking a moment to see what it was, he was a little surprised. "Oh gummy bears. Forgot I had those."
"I'm like a ballerina." Ship said, as he bobbed and weaved from attacks, while attacking in between, delivering successful blows. "That takes names and slits throats." He added, after uppercutting John Stewart.
However Ship was then hit by several rockets from Hal Jordan, who had transformed into a giant robot. Superman then fired his heatvision, while Flash threw his lightning.
These hit Ship dead on, sending him tumbling to the ground in pain. But he wasn't out of the fight just yet. Even though he was on his side, Ship's robot formed his arm into a cannon and fired.
"Coooooome annnnnd geeeeet some..." Ship dragged out. "You'rrrrrrrre alllllll gonna die..." He then got back up and formed two miniguns, on each arm and fired them, while shooting rockets form his shoulders.
Instantly the League went on the defensive, while Ship let out a creepy, 'Ha Ha' followed up by and equally creepy. "I can do this all day!"
Wonder Woman was able to get out of the field of fire and managed to cut the barrel of on if Ships guns. This made him made as he then grabbed her during another attack and began repeatedly punching her.
Superman and Captain Marvel then double teamed him from the side, followed up a super punch from Flash, who had ran several states over to build up enough speed.
Then using their combined ring power Hal Jordan and John Stewart created a giant fighter jet to uppercut him with sending him flying. Captain Atom then powered up for a giant radiation blast and fired.
This sent Ship into an entirely different direction, as he eventually hit the ground creating a huge trench. However when the smoke cleared a hole was where Ship was.
"Where is he?" Wonder Woman questioned, looking around.
Then before anything else could guess what happened, the ground shook like an earthquake. Then a giant mechanical worm shot straight out, easily over a thousand feet high. "Here I am!" Ship shouted.
This stunned the League again, at just how Ship kept turning into these mechanical mayhems. It seemed almost unreal.
"Why do the bad guys always get the good $#!¥!?" Hal Jordan exclaimed, in frustration and a bit of fear.
"I feel like I've seen this from somewhere." Captain Marvel stated, realizing he was getting a sense of déjà vu.
Without any proper legs holding him up, Ship let gravity push him, while he dived back down. Forcing his opponents to scramble away, not wanting to get crushed by the colossus sized worm. Ship burowed into the ground only to rise up again to attack.
Ship kept this technique up, knowing that not all of the League could avoid him forever. But before he could actually make contact with one, he was miraculously being pulled out of the ground.
It was herculean effort that required teamwork and alot of strength. But thanks to it they lifted Ship into the air once again. "SHAZAM!" Marvel cried out creating another lightning bolt to strike Ship
Ship then transformed into a robot again as he started to fall. Then Superman flew up and punched him up higher into the sky. The Kryptonian then flew up again to hopefully repeat the same attack.
But as he was about to deliver the second punch, Ship created a speaker on his chest and blasted him with sound waves equivalent to Echo Echo's from earlier. Except since this was at close range so it blasted Superman backdown as well as hurting his ears.
It seems no matter how hard, or how many times, the League hits the Galvanic Mechamorph symbiote, Ship seemed to come back harder.
Rather than let gravity force him to the ground, Ship created flight tech for himself. Then cannons on his arms as he flew straight back down.
"I'm coming for you!!!!!!!" Ship shouted, as he once began firing lasers and missiles at the Justice League. Like before, if they didn't scatter they tried blocking. But as they did they stayed in one place, allowing Ship to tackle them. Both Green Lantern's and Captain Atom were rendered unconscious from this.
Wonder Woman threw her lasso and it wrapped around Ship's left arm. But before she could start pulling, Ship did so suddenly with so much force she was yanked towards him. When she was close enough Ship formed a hammer, with a rocket on it, and swung it sending the Amazon over mile.
Ship then saw Flash running around, and began running a system to predict his path. "Got your fortune cookie, right here." He said, forming his arm into a cannon and firing ahead of Flash. The result was Flash being sent flying from a the explosion.
Captain Marvel then rammed at Ship's leg, forcing him to kneel. Marvel then grabbed his arm and threw him above his head. "SHAZAM!"He cried out, seeing as how before that did some damage, but Ship wasn't gonna fall for that again. So he created an opening in his chest, and fire shot of it. This forced him out of the path of magical lightning bolt, forcing it to hit Marvel.
When it did Ship was surprised to see a littlw boy, but analyzed that's how Captain Marvel got his powers. "SHA-" Billy Batson began to shout, only to stop when Ship fired a laser at the ground. It didn't hurt him to badly, but the resulting shockwave knocked him out.
"Get down here!" Ship shouted knowing Superman was left, but stayed out of the recent action so his ears would stop ringing.
He came and saw the downed Leaguers and glared at Ship. "You forget, that even if you beat us Justice will be served. We have evidence of Ben committing a crime, you helping him makes you one too." Superman again tried to reason.
"He has to be taken to court, then if proven guilty will be imprisoned." Superman added, before asking. "You have anything you wanna say?"
"I...was always...taught that freedom was everyone's right." Ship responded, mixing some words in the beginning. Then pulled out an axe with his left hand, and a sword from his right.
"We will get them." Superman assured.
"Then you'll have to get through me!" Ship countered.
"At the end of this day." Ship started to say as he began to walk towards the Man of Steel. "One shall stand and one shall fall." Then he started to run straight at him.
(Yes I've been using quotes and material from movies like Transformers, they have good stuff. Also used some from Age of Ultron, he had a way with words. And Big Hero 6, but that was more for fun. P.S. I don't own any of this.)
When Ship was close enough he swung the axe downward at Superman. But Superman merely jumped back to avoid it, then flew straight at Ship, delivering a punch in his chest.
Ship then stabbed his blade into the ground and swungs it forward, creating a cloud of dust and dirt that went into Superman's eyes. Sure he still had his hearing, but because this move was so sudden he was stunned for a second. That second gave Ship the chance to slash Superman's chest his sword. Then hit him again with a horizontal swing of his axe.
Superman quickly recovered and decided enough was enough used his heatvision. Ship blocked it by making an 'X' with his weapons, but that blast was more to get the sand out of his eyes.
Superman then flew as fast as he fould away from Ship, taking a page from Flash's book. And Ship knew it, he was hoping to keep Superman busy a little longer, but if this next attack made contact would render Ship incapacitated.
Ship knew he couldn't beat the League indefinitely, but knew he could hold his ground long enough for Ben and Zatanna to escape. Which is what theg hopefully done by now, after this fight has taken a toll on the guy.
Deciding to go out with a bang, Ship put away the axe and opened his palm with the sword. The sword didn't fall since it was still attached, but it began spinning like a propeller and soon was spinning so fast it created a circle. Three holes opened up in Ship's back, one in middle and two on the back of his shoulders, which started spewing fire. Ship then created wheels on his feet and began doing a burn out.
Suddenly Ship shot off like a rocket, just as Superman shot straight at him. Both were breaking the sound barrier, so it woud only be seconds before they met. When the attack met a huge shockwave was created, along with a giant dust cloud shrouding the area.
However when it cleared it showed Ship, in his normal form on the ground, exhausted, surrounded by cars and trucks he absorbed earlier. "Ship." The little alien muttered before passing out. Superman, while still tired, was still standing up, well flying.
Just then the rest of the League began to regain consciousness. Green Lantern Hal Jordan immediately went to surround the unconscious Ship in a bubble.
"Well that took longer then expected." Superman said, then recieved an incoming message from Batman, with his new communicator. In fact all of them did.
"What is it Bat's?" Marvel asked, who transformed from Billy Batson before the rest of the League noticed.
"I got him." He simply stated, making all their eyes widened.
(During the fight in Salem)
Ben and Zatanna were running as fast as they could, not caring if they attracted unwanted attention. Zatanna, who switched into jeans, a sweatshirt and sneakers, and Ben were only several blocks away when Zatanna's eyes glowed briefly. She stopped dead in her tracks, and Ben seeing this stopped too.
"What's up?" He asked, with concern.
"They're waiting for us." Zatanna said, despite being low on power she was still able to detect possible threats. She didn't know how it worked, but sometimes, even if she didn't concentrate, she could just predict danger.
"Good news is we're in public." Ben stated. "They won't want casualties, or bad press."
"Yeah but the moment we're alone, it's a free for all." Zatanna reminded him.
"Well you know what they say." Ben began to reply. "Nothing in life is ever free, there's always a price that has to be paid. So let's give them the bill."
"Well mister morale compass, what's your plan?" Zatanna asked. "I don't know how many more spells I have in me, and the Omnitrix hasn't recharged yet."
"Hate to say it, but these hero's are going bad." Ben stated, before adding. "Well more like you, since you still have some of those stone guy's."
"Huh?" The magician replied, not getting where Ben was going at.
"But first, let's put some bait on the hook." Ben continued, before grabbing Zatanna's hand and running in the opposite direction they came.
With Batman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawkwomen and Hawkman.
Each of them had taken a position near where the Tower of Fate would be. They couldn't get inside of it, for obvious reasons, but they could make sure nobody else did either.
"You sure they'll come here Bat's?" Green Arrow questioned, this was an obvious place for Ben and his girlfriend to go. Surely they would try go to where the league wouldn't expect.
"This is the only place in all of North America that they know is secure from us." Batmam reasoned. "Plus camera's have spotted them heading to this location."
"Why isn't the rest the rest of the League here?" Hawkwomen asked, knowing that some could come here in minutes tops even without a zeta tube.
"They're busy dealing with 'Ship' some type of symbiote of an Alien Ben calls Upgrade." Batman explained. "It's proving to be much more difficult to handle than expected."
Before the conversation went any further.
Boom Crash
Sounds of destruction occurred, Batman pulled up the camera's and saw stone golems wrecking a street some distance away. They were breaking windows, smashing cars, scaring people, but not hurting anyone.
"Batman should we go investigate?" Hawkman questioned, knowing it could be serious situation.
"No don't go, it's under control, this is critical." Batman replied.
Elsewhere
Zatanna, after using some clever magic was able to tap into the Leauge's com channel. Then using a bit more magic altered Batman's reply to Hawkman. "Go...it's...critical."
The two hawk like Hero's then flew straight towards the chaos. Ben's plan was working, she created a bunch of those golems to lure away the two flyers. Now they just needed a way to distract the remaining three. Which she hopefully had enough power for.
Before Batman could tell Hawkman and Hawkwomen what he actually said, his com started sparking, so he pulled it out quickly. Then suddenly the branches around him, began wrapping around his arms, legs and mouth. He tried to break free, but it was pointless.
Green Arrow, with his excellent eye sight, saw this and was about to go help. But then suddenly, one of those stone golems appeared out of nowhere above him. He barely had enough time to jump out of the way. He then fired an arrow at it's head, rendering just rocks. But then he saw a dozen more just appear out of nowhere, all ready for a fight.
Black Canary saw her boyfriend, and turned around and sure enough dozen of those same golems were behind her. She immediately tried to use her Canary cry, but nothing came out. Unbeknownst to her one of the golems was holding a statue that had a ribbon tied around an angels mouth. This magic charm rendered women unable to speak until the ribbon was untied.
Seeing that all of them were busy, Ben and Zatanna decided to make a run for it. Ben still couldn't transform and Zatanna only had a little bit of magic left.
Wanting it to be quicker, Zatanna lifted the key and it flew to where the door was. The door opened, and as they were at the last of 10 yards or so something wrapped around Ben's leg.
This caused him to fall to the ground, then soon found himself being pulled. He looked and saw Batman, who had used designed a smoke pellet to disintegrate plants. Granted it was made for Posion Ivy, but it worked nonetheless.
Zatanna stopped right at the door and without taking even a second to think, she threw a whip of man around Ben's left arm. This then turned into a game of tug-of-war between the Dark Knight and the Sorceress.
Zatanna struggled as she tried to pull Ben, she was low on power, while Batman was at 100 percent. Still she wasn't gonna leave without him, she kinda was in this because of him, so they might as well get out together.
As Ben was being pulled he looked at his left wrist and saw the Omnitrix was full. Then without thinking activated it and pressed the dial. Whatever alien he turned into didn't matter, as long as it got him out of this situation.
When the flash occured, Zatanna felt no more resistance on her end so whatever alien Ben turned into was sent flying towards her. The impact caused her to fall back, into the tower of Fate. Deciding not to take the chance, Zatanna immediately closed the door, and activated the Towers defenses. Now nobody could get in without their permission, which was good since she was totally out of power.
"We're in the clear." Zatanna sighed, as she sat down on the ground then noticed Ben turned into Ditto.
"Oh no this is bad this is very very bad!" Ditto stated, as he grabbed his head in a panic.
"What do you mean?" Zatanna questioned, still out of breath from the ordeal. Then remembered the story from when Ben first got Ditto that summer. "Oh no."
Later, outside
The League was outside the tower of Fate, the stone golems were quickly handled. Then those Leaguer's who had been fighting Ship arrived, with Ship in tow. Turns out when Ben became Ditto, he split himself in two. One that escaped and one that Batman captured, who was now trapped in a bubble like Ship, only bigger.
"You'll never take me alive!!!!!!" Ditto shouted banging the bubble.
"We just did take you alive." Green Arrow reminded.
"Oh." Ditto said stopping his pounding, blinking in realization before going back to hitting the bubble. "You'll never get anything out of me, nope, never! My mind is protected by a great wall of China! I'll never tell you anything, never so don't bother trying! I'll never talk!"
"If only." Hal Jordan groaned.
"Shut it side salad, I get the last word in this." Ditto exclaimed.
"Side salad?" Flash said, confused.
"What did I just say speedy tomato?!" Ditto exclaimed.
That's it, so sorry for the long wait again, I hope it was worth it. I also hope all this makes sense and I didn't leave any holes or whatever. Any questions please ask, and please review. Next Chapter is gonna focus Ben and Zatanna trying to get the Ditto that was captured out of captivity.
