An hour later, Ryder was in his lab looking at the data he had received from the Catarla's bio scan that the cage had taken.
"Why does this look so familiar?" asked Ryder as he looked at some sort of bacteria on a screen.
"Something wrong?" asked Zula as she walked up.
"The toxin is actually a bacteria, and it looks familiar to me, like something I have seen a while ago," said Ryder with a puzzled expression as he leaned back in his chair.
"I find it tough to place my paw on some things too, but then I walk away from the problem for a while and the solution comes to me," said Zula.
"You're a genius, Zula," said Ryder as he started going through files on the computer until he found one that was labeled 'Talking Dogs'.
"What exactly did I say?" asked a confused Zula.
"You mentioned your paw and it reminded me of the bacteria that gave all Earth dogs the ability to speak, it just appeared one day out of the blue and confused many scientists all over the world for years," said Ryder as he pulled an image up of another bacteria from that file.
"And these two are almost the same," said Ryder as he lined the two up to find that they were practically identical.
"So you're saying that the bacteria that infected Earth dogs is the same as the one that infected the Catarlas?" asked Zula.
"Not exactly, they are the same strain though, which means I should be able to make a cure by using the data on the one from here on Earth," said Ryder.
"But I'm going to need those," said Ryder as he looked at the pile of stones that they had gotten from the Catarlas.
"Won't that give them a chance to gain powers permanently though?" asked a concerned Zula.
"I should be able to separate the power portion from the cure," said Ryder as he got to work.
