With the twins and the TAC officials fighting the Black Tusks, the group find themselves between a rock and a hard place.
The group were pinned down and corned by the Black Tusks who were slowly closing in on their position.
The group had underestimated the Black Tusks biting off more than they can chew.
Izuku and Ikki pinned down by suppressive fire are unable to return fire. Carrying the MR-55 Assault Rifles, despite the rifle's capabilities of locking on to targets, they were unable to shoot for their rifles weren't locked on to any target.
But before the Black Tusks could get any closer to wiping out their targets, the Black Tusks were immobilized by an ice quirk.
"What the hell!?" Todd reacts.
Behind the trail of ice immobilized Black Tusks was Endeavor and his wife Ice Knight alongside their son Shoto and three girls of Class 1B.
"Fuck I'm stuck! I can't move!" A trapped Black Tusk whose body is encased in ice yells panicking.
"It's so fucking cold! I can't freeze to death! I can't die like this!" Another Black Tusk yells panicking and struggling to escape his icy prison.
"That's that fucking Japanese Hero Ice Knight!" Another immobilized Black Tusk mutters upon realization at who froze them.
"Woah." Todd was somewhat both impressed and horrified of the Pro-Heroes who saved them.
"You guys okay?" Endeavor asks the twins.
"We're fine. Thanks for the assistance Ice Knight you really saved us." Ikki sighs in relief.
Ice Knight nods in acknowledgement of Ikki's thanks.
For Endeavor and Ice Knight, both Pro-Heroes had two personalities. They have a hero mode and a civilian mode.
For Hero mode, they were aggressive and focused on their task shoving their feelings aside for when their jobs are over. For civilian mode, they are the most caring people in the world who would do anything for their children, as well helping others. Their two personalities are somewhat of a surprise to other Pro-Heroes, who at one instance seeing them on duty are aggressive and gung-ho, while on the other when off-duty they are the kindest people in the world.
"Todd, Todd Howitzer, CEO of Texas Arms Company." Todd introduces to Endeavor.
"Endeavor, Japan's Number Two Pro-Hero." Endeavor introduces.
Endeavor points at the twins.
"You boys must be Izuku and Ikki Midoriya. I believe we were in the same room watching the Sports Festival." Recognizing them from the UA Sports Festival.
"Why yes, we were. I've never seen such enthusiasm for your son." Ikki compliments recalling how much
The girls of Class 1B seeing the twins chatter among themselves talk about Izuku and Ikki.
"Wait so which one is Izuku?" Reiko asks.
"I think its that one." Yui speculates pointing right at Izuku.
"You know, Kendo is right, the twins are cute, a shame they are taken though. I can see why Kendo wants Izuku." Reiko continues.
"We mustn't lust over boys, sex before marriage is a sin. And besides, they are already with someone and that would be adultery." The girl with vines for hair objects.
"Ibara, don't have to be so up-tight." Reiko says.
"I'm just being faithful to the lord." Ibara replies.
The girls seeing Izuku would learn to approve of Kendo's crush despite the Izuku already being in a relationship.
"You boys know how to fight?" Ice Knight asks.
"We are armed as you can see, plus our mom is Ex-Military and were students of MSDFA, so we know what to do." Izuku responds.
"Good." Ice Knight acknowledges.
"What now?" Endeavor asks.
"Look, were just trying to survive and find our friends." Izuku says.
"A sound plan son, even though its not really a plan. My family and I along with these nice girls from 1B are figuring out what is going on. Our chances of survival will increase if we stick together." Endeavor says adding on to Izuku's intentions.
"You are Japan's most powerful hero (Second to All-Might), so you being with us increases our chances of survival." Todd says.
"Welcome to the crew." Izuku sarcastically says to their new group members.
"Well, thank you for the warm welcome." Shoto says interacting to the twins for the first time.
The group now merged, slowly make their way through the halls of the Central Tower's Convention floor focusing on their survival.
Meanwhile
With Big Boss and the CIA Team, they were fighting their way to Central Tower determined to link up with the twins and All-Might, and to extract Shield from I-Island.
Fighting their way through the Black Tusks, the team made their way to Central Tower where they would run into Katsuki's group seeing three of the group members (Mei, Shinso and Tenya) armed.
"Hey its eye-patch!" Katsuki yells.
"Oh, it's Big Boss. Looks like were saved." Shinso says.
"An honor to see you." Iida greets.
"You know who these guys are?" Mei asks having never met Big Boss and his CIA colleagues before.
"Do you know where the twins are?" Big Boss asks.
"We didn't see them. But I think they're still inside Central Tower." Shinso answers.
"We'll head there. You kids get to safety." Woods says.
"Wait a second! We aren't going to just leave our dumbass friends to fend for themselves, let us come too. We are aspiring Pro-Heroes! Hell, I'm going to be the BEST surpassing even ALL-MIGHT!" Katsuki rants.
"Listen, as courageous as you are, I don't want to have a kid die on my watch, especially when we are in a combat situation." Woods responds.
"Come on, the Midoriyas and our friends need our help! We are trained to face danger and save people!" Tenya exclaims.
"I mean not that I don't disagree, I don't want to risk having any dead kids." Bowman cuts in agreeing with the UA students, but ultimately agreeing with Woods' point.
"Although, if we were to tell them to find safety on their own, they would also be at risk from the Black Tusks in the island's streets. They'll be safer if they're with us, so long as they keep their heads down and stay behind us. Plus, they did survive the attack on USJ." Big Boss cuts in.
"He does have a point. Plus watching that UA Sports Festivals, their Quirks can help us." Mason says. Pointing at Katsuki and Shinso.
"Fine, you kids come with us." Woods continues, seeing as they do indeed have a point.
"Let's go find our friends and kick ass!" Katsuki yells, his fist in the air determined to find his friends and kick Black Tusk ass.
"Right, lets move." Mason states.
"Looks like we'll be going back to Central Tower." Shinso adds in.
And so, Big Boss, the CIA operatives and UA students proceed to Central Tower.
Meanwhile
For Ochako, Momo, Kita, Masao, and Kendo, they were still inside Central Tower. And well they were in a firefight with a squad of Black Tusk Soldiers within the halls of the convention floor.
Shooting at actual human beings is different then shooting at inanimate targets considering that actual human beings can shoot back, while an inanimate object cannot shoot back much less move.
As well, the Black Tusks along with being heavily armed were also specially trained being composed of Ex-Special Forces Soldiers from militaries all over the world. This isn't helped by the fact that the Black Tusks have easily dispatched I-Island's PMCs (Ex-Military Soldiers working for Contract Forces International hired to provide heavily armed support for I-Security) and I-Security Forces (I-Island's Police Force) with ease.
While the group was made up of aspiring Pro-Heroes and soldiers, the group's chances of survival were extremely low since they are practically beginners who are up against Ex-Special Forces Soldiers.
Momo, Kita, and Masao were returning fire, albeit they were pinned down and blind firing from cover.
Meanwhile Ochako and Itsuka were leaning on the wall tightly gripping their Handguns, pinned down from Black Tusk suppressive fire and unable to take another life.
"I can't do this!" Itsuka yells clearly in a state of panic.
"Shoot back! It's either us or them!" Momo yells to Itsuka.
"But I don't want to kill!" Itsuka replies distressed at the dilemma of having to take a life to save her friends, even though their chances of survival were already slim against the elite Black Tusks.
Seeing as they are on the verge of death up against the deadly Black Tusks, Ochako gathers her thoughts and possible last words.
'Mom, dad, I'm sorry.' Ochako thought.
"The UA kids are cornered! I will flush em out. Grenade!" A Black Tusk yells as he is about to toss an M67 Frag Grenade (Just after pulling the Grenade's pin) down the hall at the group.
Ochako seeing as she's got nothing to lose in the moment pops out of cover and being inexperienced, in the midst of the Black Tusk barrage of 5.56 rounds, she blindly shoots at the direction of the Black Tusks.
A random bullet from Ochako's Glock hits the Black Tusk soldier about to toss the grenade, where said Black Tusk dies from a bullet to the forehead (Instantly killing him). The dead Black Tusk falls on his back where his grenade rolls out of his palm towards his other squad members.
One Black Tusk Soldier sees this, but he notices too late and he says this: "Oh fuck, GRENADE!"
And the grenade detonates resulting in a large explosion where the hall is ingulfed in smoke and dust from debris caused by the explosion.
The shooting stops.
The group slowly exit cover seeing as the shooting has stopped.
"Nice shot Ochako. You just saved us." Momo comments noticing what Ochako did.
As the smoke and dust clear, the group are greeted by a messy site.
A huge puddle of blood and the mangled corpses of the Black Tusk soldiers cut apart by shrapnel.
"Fuck that's nasty!" Kita comments.
"So that's what a frag grenade does to a human." Masao comments somewhat in shock.
"Oh dear." Momo comments covering her mouth with both hands.
"…." Itsuka just blanky stares in shock at the site of gore.
Ochako and Itsuka are horrified by what they are seeing.
Just like the side effect of her Gravity Quirk, Ochako becomes extremely nauseous at the site of torn up corpses.
Itsuka meanwhile is on the verge of fainting, although Kita is holding her up.
Ochako freaks out at what she's done.
Ochako gags.
And then she vomits.
She is vomiting chunks.
The rest of the group begin to feel bad for Ochako.
Momo pats Ochako on the back as she vomits.
After that she recovers but is freaked out.
"I just killed people! I'm no hero! I can't do this anymore!" Ochako cries having recovered from hurling.
Ochako goes into a fetal position leaning on a wall, tightly clutching her Glock 17 Handgun.
"Ochako, you did what you had to do." Momo yells.
"But I killed them! I can't be a hero! Heroes aren't murderers! Oh my god! Oh my god!" Ochako cries unable to comprehend what she had just did.
"Yeah you saved us." Masao adds.
"But I killed people!" Ochako repeats.
Ochako is slapped in the face by Momo.
"Ochako, snap out of it!"
Ochako stops her panicked rambling and looks at Momo.
Momo grasps Ochako's hand.
"You are a hero. Not all heroes can save everyone. You killed people yes, but they wanted to kill us and you saved us."
"Momo."
"Ochako. You can do this. We heroes are trained to do this."
"But-"
"Sometimes you have to take lives to save others."
"What about Izuku? What will he think of me?!"
Kita, Masao and Itsuka butt in trying to support Ochako.
"Izuku was a child soldier and he killed people. Look at him now. He isn't some bloodthirsty killer, he is the kindest person I have ever had the privilege of meeting, and I am proud to call him a good friend." Masao cuts in.
This new fact that Masao dropped was a surprise for Ochako hearing that her boyfriend was a child soldier.
"Yeah, Ikki like Izuku was a child soldier too and I still love Ikki even if he killed people. But he is the kindest boyfriend ever, and he did what he had to do to survive." Momo cuts in trying to be supportive.
"Ochako if it hadn't been for you, we would've died." Itsuka says albeit still in shock from the sight. But nonetheless glad that she and her friends are still alive.
"Yeah, don't beat yourself up, you're a hero you did what was necessary."
"You are still Ochako. And nothing will change that."
Ochako seeing all of her friends being supportive realizes she did what she had to do to survive and help her friends.
"Thanks everyone. I feel better now." Ochako smiles acknowledging that her friends support her, albeit she is still haunted by what she did.
"Now please, lets go and find our friends." Momo says realizing their dates are out there in danger.
While Ochako has snapped out of it and soldiered on, the events on I-Island will haunt her and her friends in the days to come. But the support she has shows that at least she is not alone.
"Hey Momo, more ammunition would be nice." Kita asks.
"Coming right up." Momo says as she creates more STANAG magazines loading with Armoured Piercing 5.56 rounds.
Kita and Masao grab the magazines and store them in their jacket pockets.
"I think I could use more to be safe." Ochako asks.
Momo obliges creating three pistol magazines loaded with 9mm rounds which Ochako takes.
The group make their way through Central Tower avoiding Black Tusk Forces and I-Island's hijacked Security Systems.
The gunfire and the explosion would attract the attention of other Black Tusk Forces in the area.
Seeing as the Black Tusks were at a different level being Ex-Special Forces, the group agreed to stealthy avoid them.
Meanwhile
Meanwhile with All-Might, All-Might's group continue to make their way to David Shield running up many flights of stairs in Central Tower's stairwell.
Thankfully, the group has not run into any Black Tusk or rogue Security System on their journey through the many flight of stairs.
The group making their way through Central Tower's stairs had reached the 30th floor.
Again, the group takes a quick breather, and All-Might deflates.
"Just how many floors are there in Central Tower?" An exhausted Mina sighs.
"There are about 200 floors." Melissa answers.
"You serious?!" A shocked Mina responds.
"Afraid so."
"If only we could use the elevator." An exhausted Jiro cuts in.
And just as Denki was about to say something.
A door to floor 30 opened up, the group got into combat position with All-Might buffing himself up expecting Black Tusk contact, instead they were greeted by an armed Security Officer pointing his MPX Submachine Gun at the group.
"Oh, you're not one of them." The officer said realizing the group are not Black Tusk.
The Officer puts down his Submachine Gun.
"Come in. It's not safe to be here in the stairwell." The Officer says urging the group to leave the stairwell.
"But we need to get to my dad." Melissa says.
"Your David's daughter?" The Officer asks recognizing her.
"Yes." Melissa answers.
"Well sorry kid its no point. The upper levels are crawling with the intruders and hijacked bots." The Officer adds.
"Not if I can help." All-Might introduces.
"Its good that you're here All-Might. But seriously the upper levels are crawling with heavily armed enemy combatants."
"Know who these intruders are?" All-Might asks the Officer.
"No clue, but whoever they are on top of being heavily armed and militarized, they are also very well trained, they had easily slaughtered my colleagues like it was no big deal."
"What is on this floor?" All-Might asks.
"The 30th floor is the Central Tower Security Headquarters. It's the safest floor, us and the remaining Security personnel were able to fortify this part of Central Tower. We still have access to the surveillance system, so we still have eyes everywhere on this island, although we are locked out from the Security Systems." The Officer answers All-Might.
"Wait a camera. Does that mean you have footage on my dad?" Melissa asks desperate to know if her father is okay.
Another Officers comes into the stairwell from behind the Officer at the door, and he interrupts.
"I think helped arrive. Another group came in and they are just straight up slaughtering the intruders, these certainly guys don't look like the PMC or I-Security. Come see the live feed." The Officer says mentioning a certain Legendary Soldier and an Elite CIA Team.
The other Officer walks back from where he came.
"I'll be there." The Officer responds.
"Melissa, lets go with the officers, we can see if he's safe." All-Might suggests.
The group walk to the Central Tower Security floor safe zone.
Meanwhile
As everyone was fighting their way through the island trying to survive and link up, on the highest levels of Central Tower, Dr. David Shield and his assistant Samuel Abraham with some other scientists were in a barricaded lab hastily packing up all of their research with the help of some armed I-Security Officers on site.
"Hurry, we have a chopper waiting for you." An Officer informs.
"I can't, I have to find my daughter!" David yells,
"Hey what should we do with these files?" A fellow scientist asks.
"Take whatever you can, if they are on the computers save them on a hard drive or a USB, if they're paper files take as much as you can, if you can't burn them." Shield responds.
The barricaded doors of David's lab are barely holding, the Security Bots were ramming the door, where the door is losing its structural integrity.
"We have to go now!" Seeing as the lab was on the verge of being breached, a security officer informs David its time to leave.
The officer opens a hidden door on the wall revealing a path leading to Central Tower's helipad where there is a chopper that is waiting for him.
"I won't leave without Melissa!"
"Come on David, we have to go!" His assistant Sam yells.
And then the barricaded door is breached by the security bots where the doors are smashed open. The security bots then swarm into the lab.
"Damn it, fine!" David submits.
David seeing as he has no choice but to escape begrudgingly heads to the helipad followed by Sam, his fellow colleagues, and the officers.
A security officer who is last to enter the hidden pathway to the helipad proceeds to close the hidden door from behind where he then follows the group to safety.
After walking to their way through the path, they open a door leading them to the helipad, they see their helicopter a BK 117.
David opens the BK 117's door, only to be greeted by a barrel of guns from the Black Tusks.
"Ah David, how nice of you to join us." Wolfram greets pointing a SIG P226 Handgun at David.
David turns around and sees more Black Tusks come on to the helipad from inside the tower and surround him and his colleagues.
"Now why don't you cooperate with us, so we can be on our way?" Wolfram says to David.
"What do you want?" David asks clutching his suitcase full of files and hard drives.
"You have something that is of great interest to my employers. A certain Quirk Amplification Device? Am I saying it wrong?"
"How do you know?! Its classified! No one but my team and I can know about it." David says shocked that Wolfram knows about the device.
Wolfram grinning looks at Samuel.
David follows where Wolfram is looking at and is shocked.
"Sam?! Why?" David asks surprised and clearly betrayed by his close friend.
Sam is solemn that he betrayed his closest friend and colleague.
"Sam what the hell!? Did they bribe you?! I thought you didn't care about money?" David yells in anger.
Sam sighs and he tells his side of why it happened.
"I'm sorry David. I was approached by someone with photos of my wife and children, they said if I didn't help let them in I-Island they would kill them." Sam says clearly distressed having finally told David of being blackmailed.
"Is that why you've been so distant Sam? You could have told me."
"I didn't have a choice! They already had eyes on me, and if I told anyone they would know." Sam responds.
"And so, the shocking truth is revealed. Now enough of that, give us what we want." Wolfram interrupts.
"Its not with us."
Wolfram not satisfied with David's answer shoots one of the I-Island scientists without a second thought killing him instantly. David, Sam and the other I-Island scientists and officers look on in horror.
"Karlson No!" David yells as he tries to go to his dead colleague, but he is held back by Sam.
Wolfram then steps out of the helicopter alongside his top lieutenants Swordkil, Daigo and Nobu, his P226 Handgun pointing at David.
"Take me to where you have the device. Again, I won't repeat myself." Wolfram continues.
"The security guards stay here. Only the scientists come with us." Wolfram orders his soldiers.
The security guards stay behind trapped at gunpoint by the Black Tusk Soldiers where they are lined up on the wall.
The surrounding Black Tusk Soldiers aim their Assault Rifles at the group following their leader Wolfram and the team of scientists.
And just as they enter Central Tower to retrieve the Quirk Amplification Device, Wolfram looks the security officers lined up on the wall.
"The guards are of no purpose, weapons free." Wolfram orders
The officers panic and beg for their lives.
The Black Tusks then execute the officers putting a round in the back of their heads.
"No, no please!" An officer yells moments before a round passes through his brain.
"Not like this!"
"Mercy!"
"I wanna see my kids! I can't die like this!" An officer cries.
Again, David and his team look on helplessly in horror as the guards who accompanied them were all just mercilessly executed.
Walking back to the labs, the security bots stand down seeing as their new Black Tusks masters were on sight.
"I hear your daughter is here. Is that true? She's at the gala, isn't she?"
"Don't you dare put your hands on her!" David yells.
Swordkil stops David placing a blade near his throat. The Black Tusk Soldiers as well point their weapons at David.
Wolfram gestures his men to put their weapons down.
He then smiles.
"You know, back when I was a part of the CIA, the CIA taught me a thing or two about psychological warfare and how one can break a person mentally." Wolfram points out.
David and Sam do not like where this is going.
"You tell me where the device is, or else I will have my men find your daughter and have her gutted in front of you." Wolfram says in a rather serious tone.
"You're not joking, are you?" David asks scared.
"My men and I are on a tight schedule. Don't waste my time."
David is confused at how Sam got involved in this. Not only that, how did they know about the device? Let alone knowing what Sam was involved in to threaten him.
"How did you know about this? Why was Sam threatened, and how did you know about the device?" David asks as he and his team are walking to the lab at gunpoint.
"Let's just say a certain investor hired me." Wolfram replies.
"An investor?" David says curious at who hired the Black Tusks.
"I'm going to ask you something. Why did you make the Quirk Amplification Device then?"
"Someone told us to design it. Why?" David asks confused
"That same someone who happens to be an investor hired us to steal the device." Wolfram states with a smug grin.
David and Sam along with their team widen their eyes in shock.
David is confused as to why that mysterious someone who told them to design and build the device would want to steal it.
"Why?"
"You ask too many questions."
Wolfram impatient draws his Handgun and aims at Sam. Sam walks backward only to be pushed forward by a Black Tusk Soldier shoving him on his back with the stock of his SCAR-L Assault Rifle.
"Take us to the labs, or else I put a bullet in your assistant's brain." Wolfram warns.
Sam sweats and is terrified of Wolfram seeing that these guys do not mess around.
"I don't want to die." Sam whispers in terror.
Wolfram's Black Tusks and their uneasy prisoners walk to the lab where the Quirk Amplification Device is being held.
After walking their way through a couple flight of stairs, they reach the labs where they enter the research facility.
Entering said facility, there are a lot of sights that catch the attention of Wolfram.
He stops and looks at what experiments and projects the lab has got going.
The Black Tusks and the hostages stop seeing as their leader isn't moving and just staring, but Wolfram gestures ordering them to continue without him for he will catch up.
He wanders the lab observing what kind of research the scientists of I-Island were conducting.
A series of blue liquid vials in an incubator on a table catches the attention of Wolfram.
"What are these?" Wolfram points at the blue vials.
"Compound Q." One of the hostage's answers.
"Compound Q? And what exactly is Compound Q?"
The Black Tusks point their guns at the scientist for talking. But Wolfram orders them to stand down and allows the scientist to stay.
"Continue." Wolfram says having ordered his men to stand down.
"Artificial Quirks. When the liquid is injected into the bloodstream, the individual gains a Quirk."
"Fascinating. You seem to know a lot about Compound Q. Doctor- I am unfamiliar with your name."
"Frederick Vought. And its my project."
"Ah so you're the renowned doctor who the award on Quirk Theory. I read your name in a magazine."
"Yes." Frederick acknowledges somewhat proud that he is noticed, albeit terrified of Wolfram and his group of Armed Soldiers.
"So why do all this? I'm genuinely curious. We already live in a world of Quirks. So why?"
"To give the Quirkless a chance."
"Admirable. How far along are you in your work?"
"Far but not far enough."
"Explain."
"It's unstable. We tested it on Quirkless animals, but the rats exploded. We also tried it on Quirkless chimps and gorillas, and well the apes were unable to control their newly obtained Quirks. Sadly, the animals had to be put down." Vought explains.
"A shame. Ever try humans?"
"No. Not when its still in progress. I refuse to experiment Compound Q if it means putting the lives of my fellow man at risk."
And just as Wolfram is about to insult Vought for being weak and not experimenting with humans, the Black Tusks notify Wolfram in his earpiece that they have reached where the device is being held.
"Ah, at long last." Wolfram says.
Wolfram makes his way to where the Quirk Amplification Device is being held. Vought follows suit unwillingly.
After walking through the halls of the laboratory, they meet up with the Black Tusks and the prisoners in front of what appears to be vault.
"Is this where the device is being held?" Wolfram points to the vault.
"Yes." David nods.
"Open it." Wolfram says with a stone-cold tone.
And so, David hesitantly opens up the vault unlocking the combination, in it is the device that Wolfram's employers want.
What is seen is a unique headset placed on a special table specifically meant to hold the device encased in reinforced glass.
"Is this it?"
"It is."
David again reluctantly unlocks the reinforced protection layer.
Wolfram then grabs the device from the table, and places it in a secured case.
After grabbing the case, Wolfram wanting to check in with the other Black Tusks attempts to contact the Black Tusk group in the Reception Hall of the Convention Floor.
"Reception Hall, what's your status? And how are the hostages?"
No response.
"Reception Hall, what's your status?"
No response.
"Anyone in the Convention what's your status?"
No response.
"This is strange." Wolfram states.
"Wolfram, we have a problem, the security systems are no longer under our control! All of our units are being taken down by I-Island's security systems. Not only that, the anti-air defenses have been deactivated allowing the US to deploy their Marines from the USS Ulysses." A Black Tusk Tech Specialist communicates from the Security Building.
"What the hell!"
"Sir we are being- AHHH!" And the signal from the Black Tusks in the Security Building cut off.
There would be a slight change of plans for Wolfram.
"Change of plans, we are leaving!" Wolfram orders the Black Tusks who are with him.
"To any Black Tusk still standing I have the package; we are pulling out!" Wolfram continues in his comms ordering all remaining Black Tusks on I-Island to evacuate.
"Now that I have what my employers want, you are no longer of any use to us."
The Black Tusks point their guns at David and the scientists. And David and his team can only look helplessly in horror at their demise.
"NOOOOO!" A familiar voice yells.
"Melissa?" David responds hearing the familiar voice of his daughter.
Suddenly the Midoriyas'/Endeavor's group, Momo's group, Big Boss'/Katsuki's group and All-Might's group alongside the remaining I-Security personnel go in guns blazing spraying down all of the Black Tusks.
