Reunion
Dempsey felt sick. His ribs burned and he knew he had the start of a black eye. He could barely open his right eye - the pain unbearable when he tried to move his head. He tried to calm himself as he listened to the raised voices and gunfire outside.
"Harry." He whispered as he felt the room spin on its access before the world turned black.

Harry crouched behind a parked car as she checked her gun. She knew Chas was doing his best to make sure she had cover but the people firing at them seemed determined enough to carry on. She couldn't help but think that not only were they outnumbered but they were very much overpowered when it came to weapons. Swearing under her breath she crouched lower as a bullet whistled past the car she was using as a shield. A look to her left made her stop in her tracks.
"Chas?" She bit her lip as her friend returned fire. Tyres screeched as he ducked behind the car, seemingly oblivious to the fact he was bleeding slightly. Harry pushed the fear and anger down, knowing that she had to get to into the building a few feet away. She smiled slightly as she heard Spiking's voice over a loud haler as she ran towards the metal door at the side of the building. Skidding to a halt she silently prayed that she would find the door unlocked. Somehow she knew there was no way she was going to get that lucky. A bullet hit the wall next to her as she wretched the door open, thanking whatever God looked after the detectives of SI10. She knew Dempsey was somewhere in the disused Rail outbuilding. She had to find him. She just had to.

The slipped through the door, pressing herself into the wall nearest her as she caught her breath. She had no idea if they would find him alive but she knew there was no way she could go on not knowing what had happened to her fiancé. She knew there was no way he would ever give up on her, she was not about to do the same for him. Gun in one hand she waited for her eyes to accustomed to the lack of light. Taking a deep breath she stepped down the corridor hoping that somewhere she was going to find him.
"Please be here." She whispered. "Please Dempsey, give us a chance." She felt her heart beat in her ears as she reached a heavy, old fashioned door at the end of the corridor. Reaching one hand she pushed the door open feeling the bile rise in her stomach as she saw the blood on the floor. She swung the gun in front of her, scanning the room as she realised that she was alone. Fighting the urge to either cry or scream she stepped further into the room, her eyes following the blood stains on the floor. She froze as she saw the hunched over body in the corner with his back to her. Before she could reason with herself she flew across to him, pulling him onto his back.
"Dempsey."
The man in front of her groaned as she gasped. His face was battered and bruised as she brushed his hair out of her face.
"Its me. Harry." She repeated as he blinked. "Its ok." She sighed. "I'm here, I've got you."
Dempsey's eyes widened as he realised someone was in the doorway behind her.
