I do
"Hold still. I can't get this bow tie right if you don't stop moving. If you're this nervous just trying on your tux, I can't imagine how you will be on the actual wedding day." Kevin finished getting it right then moved so Adam could look in the mirror.
"Damn Ruz, you clean up nice!" Jay chuckled as he came out of the dressing room adjusting his sleeves in his jacket.
"I hate these damn things." Adam was pulling at the bow tie.
"Dude, Kim told your to forget the bow tie and just go for a regular tie." Kev laughed and shook his head.
"Yeah, I know. But I want her to have the perfect wedding and she mentioned how much she loved the bow ties the groomsmen wore at Cruz and Chloe's wedding. I just want everything to be perfect for her. This is our one and only time that we are getting married."
"Ruz, she will think anything is perfect because she is marrying you!" Kev clapped in on his shoulder and Jay made the same gesture.
"Y'all did great pulling this together in 3 months. What's the rush? Burgess got a bun in the oven?" Kevin asked.
"Rush? I think we have been working towards this for 7 years. I have loved Kim for that long. So none of this seems rushed at all. And to answer your question, there is no bun in the oven but we're both ready. It just may take more time. We're being patient and taking that slow."
Jay laughed, "Excuse me, but who are you and where did you stash Ruzek? Because the Ruz we know is never patient and never takes things slow."
Adam punched him in the arm. "Well, you'd be surprised. Plus, the miscarriage was hard on Kim. She's nervous and worried about getting pregnant again. I don't want her to feel rushed at all. I love her. Kids or no kids, that'll never change."
The guys all turned to go back to the dressing rooms to take off their tuxedos.
"So Ruz, bachelor party still on for Saturday. I promise it will be low key. And if Kim gets to go to the spa with the girls you sure get to have a night out with the boys."
"Yeah Kev, I haven't forgotten. Kim keeps pushing me to have fun. I know I have tried to weasel out of it. Just still nervous about being away from Kim. I don't want her to think I am doing anything crazy."
"Scared she's gonna change her mind?"
"No Jay. I don't know why I am so hesitant. I'm just thankful Kim is going with some friends to a spa and not on some girls gone wild bachelorette weekend. That would drive me nuts!"
They all came out dressed back into their street clothes. Kev and Jay continued the ribbing. "You need to have a little fun before you say I do. Don't be so uptight. Besides, Kim may have more fun than you think."
"What the hell does that mean? What do you know Jay?"
Jay held his hands up in surrender, " I know nothing... really. I just think Rojas and Upton want to have a few surprises. I only overheard about a club they plan to go to while at the spa."
"Fan-fucking-tasting!"
"Hey, you trust Burgess, Ruz. She's madly in love with you. Nothing will happen. Quit worrying dawg. It ain't attractive. What's the problem?"
"Yeah, I know. It's just... Kim is still somewhat fragile and I don't want her getting drunk and then sad and all. I'm just overreacting. Ignore me."
They headed back to the car. Jay jumped in to drive and they made their way back to the district.
As they got out of the truck, they saw Upton and Rojas heading in.
"Upton, Rojas. Can I have a word?" Adam figured he may as well remind them to watch out for Kim.
Kev and Jay rolled their eyes and headed into the roll up. "Easy Ruz... don't overreact." Jay warned.
"What's up?" Rojas asked.
Adam clapped his hands together. "I need to know that you both will watch out for Kim this weekend."
"Oh we plan to take care of her." Upton giggled.
"Yeah, I'm sure. It's just... I don't want to sound over protective but I shouldn't have to remind you that Kim has been through a lot. I just don't want her getting drunk and then sad over losing the baby. She still has good days and bad. We both do."
Rojas smiled and put a hand on his shoulder, "Adam, I promise Kim will be fine and we will watch her. We want her to enjoy her weekend of freedom before she gets married but I promise nothing wild is planned. We hope to go hear a cover band on Friday night. Then we have a full day of pampering the next day. I promise it's low key. Trust us."
"Thanks guys... it's just." Adam shook his head and let out a sigh. "I'm just still very protective and I worry. A lot."
"Hey guys, everything ok?" Kim came down the stairs and felt like she had interrupted something.
"Everything is fine darling. We were just talking about our weekend get aways. I have to admit. I am thinking of canceling them for both of us and spending it with only you." Adam snaked an arm around her waist and kissed her temple.
"Ok, enough you two. You have 17 more days until the wedding. You will be saying I do very soon. Adam you can give Kim one last hurrah." Hailey pulled Rojas towards the stairs leaving the two alone.
"Adam, please don't worry. I want you to enjoy your bachelor party and I want to enjoy my spa weekend. I promise I will behave. I won't go to no more than 3 strip clubs I promise."
"Oh really. You think that's funny do you? Well just so you know I can hack into any of those CCTV's to keep an eye on you!" Adam teased as he gave Kim a long kiss.
"Adam, there will be no strip clubs. Remember Platt will be there. You've got nothing to fear!"
As if on cue, Platt came into the roll up. "Don't be so sure special sauce, Randall just got me $200 in ones from the bank. I got Kim covered!"
Kim busted out laughing as Adam swallowed hard and looked physically sick.
Voight came down the stairs before Adam could speak. "Sending everyone home. We are waiting for warrants that will come tomorrow so go home and be back by 8 am. Night Trudy. Kim, Adam, get out of here and go home. I'm sure Kim has some wedding stuff to do."
"Night Sarge!" They both said in unison.
"Adam, Trudy is teasing. I promise no strip clubs. Now come on. I want to spend time with you. Plus I need to pack before we leave tomorrow."
Adam groaned but took Kim's hand and steered her towards the car.
"So you want me to order some take out or you want me to cook?" Kim asked.
"Let's cook. I'll even help. Then we can curl up on the couch and fall asleep watching whatever romantic comedy you have talked me into." Adam smiled as he pulled into the parking spot of their apartment.
"Sounds good! Hamburgers and fries good for you?"
"Perfect darling."
"An Adam,". Kim unlocked the door. "It's your turn to pick the movie tonight."
They quickly cooked and ate. Then Kim went to start packing so she could take her bag in with her the next day. The girls planned to leave around 3 or 4. The spa was only about an hour and a half away but they wanted to beat weekend traffic.
Adam came and leaned on the door jam watching.
"I am really going to miss you this weekend. I can't wait to get this weekend over. Then two more weeks until the wedding." Adam moved towards Kim. He took the clothes she was holding and placed them on the bed then pulled Kim in for a long kiss.
"That was nice. How about you take a shower with me? All of a sudden I feel dirty." Kim wiggled her eyes and scrunched her nose.
"Lead the way darling. I promise you won't feel dirty when I finish washing you." They both laughed. Adam was still kissing Kim's neck as they struggled to get clothes off. Kim started the shower and Adam stepped in pulling Kim with him.
The shower was not actually short. Adam took his time loving every inch of Kim. He wanted her to know how much he loved her. And to be honest he wanted her to not forget that while she was away.
They finished the shower. Kim got out and started to dry Adam off. She pulled him to the bed. "My turn to make sure I pleasure you. Lay down."
Adam always loved when Kim took charge. It always ended well for him and he never minded her being in control.
They spent the next hour or so loving each other. They caressed and held each other. They made love at least two more times. When they both reached the final climax, Adam collapsed on top of Kim pinning her to the mattress. "I love you baby. So much!"
"I love you Adam."
Adam rolled off and pulled Kim into his side. "You ready for the wedding baby? You think we have everything done. It's only 2 weeks away?"
Kim looked up at him and smiled, "I do!"
