Old Friends!

Flashback:

5 years after the Battle of Endor:

"I surrender" Luke said laughing, laying on the floor while his 3 year old daughter was jumping on chest laughing too. "You think it is funny?" he asked and picking her up above him, he smiled at her, "Look Lara is flying" making his daughter laughing.

"Luke, don't do that. She just ate her meal. She would throw up for sure" Mara told him but she was also smiling. She loved to see these moments between her husband and their daughter. She knew he would be an amazing father and she was happy to have them in her life. They were start talking about having another kid. She wouldn't mind to have another child with him. She loved him so much.

The sound of laughing continue when, Luke got serious all of the sudden and looked at his wife, while he put his daughter down and sat straight. Mara felt it too.

"Baby calling Papa"

Luke looked down at his daughter and then to his wife again.

"You feel it too"

Mara nod.

"What you are going to do?" she asked even if she already knew the answer.

"I have to get him, wherever he is." he said standing up and passing Lara to her.

"What? Now?" she said and he grabbed his cloak and went outside.

"The sooner the better" he told her and then he called "R2, we are leaving". And he walked to the bunker where his X-Wing was, followed by R2 and Mara who was holding Lara who started to pout

"Lawa go wi papa" she said trying to go to Luke.

"No. Lara will stay here with mommy and be a good girl" he said to her, making the little girl wimp. "Daddy will go to get the new friend. I promise I will be back soon, okay?" he looked at her and a sad Lara nod as her father kiss her on the cheek and then he kissed his wife.

"Be careful" she said

"Don't worry" and he got into his X-Wing and left with R2 while Mara and Lara stood there watching taking off.

A week later:

Lara was sitting playing with her toys. It as being a week since Luke had left to pick the force sensitive baby they all heard.

She continue to play with her toys, talking to them while she was eating her favorite cookies. She looked to one of her toys

"You gwounded" she said and waving her hand the toy flew across the room. Then she stopped and a big smile appeared across her face and standing up, she grabbed her Luke's toy on one hand and a cookie on the other and running towards the bunker she start yelling

"Papa Hewe! Papa Hewe!"

Mara was right behind her and grabbing her daughter's arm, they stood there while Luke's X-wing just landed and as he got out of it with R2, Mara was surprised to see Grogu on Luke's arms.

"Is that who called you the other week?"

Luke nod

"Let me introduce you: Grogu" he said as he put the kid down and Lara approached the kid and smile at him. Grogu looked at her and the kids started to have a talk through the force, which Luke looked at his wife and they both smile.

Lara look at Grogu and handle the cookie, which Grogu accepted and started eating.

"Come Gogu" Lara told and she started to walked back inside being followed by Grogu.

"I think our daughter found her first friend" Mara smiled as Luke wrapped his arm around her as they followed them with R2 behind them beeping.

Present Day

Lara looked at Grogu and smiled. She remembered him. That memory just came into her head and it was the first time she actually have a vivid memory of her with her parents.

"I remember you" she said looked at the small kid. He was a little taller but still a baby comparing to her, who was already taller.

"Thank you for coming my friend" Luke shook his hand "Glad to see you back Grogu"

"Well you need our help so here we are" Din told him.

"I think we need to explain why we call you" and with a nod they all head to a room, where Din put Grogu on the floor and taking his helmet he looked to them as Luke started to explain what happened 2 months ago.

"You need my help to find who is behind all of this" Din talked after hearing Luke's explanation and look at the people who was staring at him in silence.

"You are the best." Luke told. "I have Ahsoka in Coruscant with Ezra and they are with my students but also they are my eyes"

"You still think that Senator has something to do with all of this?" Han questioned his brother in law.

"Yes. He was hiding something from the beginning I met him. He is working for someone."

"But the question is why? Why they wanted your daughter back then and why they wanted her now?" Din asked them.

"We still don't know. The main reason is because she is his daughter" Leia told.

Lara who was talking to Grogu, all of the sudden remembered the conversation she had with Cal and C-3PO the other day.

"I think I can answer that" she said making everyone look at her. Then she started to tell what Cal and C-3PO told her.

Luke and Leia exchange a look and realization came across his face.

"Why didn't I think of that before? How stupid am I" Luke said hitting the table as he stood up and started passing across the room. "Now I know why they kept Mara alive. They will use her to get our daughter"

"And you will have to fight with her for your daughter" Leia complete his brother thoughts

"Just like the emperor did between father and me on that second death star"

Lara looked scared. She didn't want her parents to fight because of her. Luke read his daughter thoughts.

"Don't worry. That is not going to happen sweetie. I will bring your mother back some other way" making Lara nod. She trust her father.

Far away at that same time:

"Bring her to me" a man's voice spoke to the communication.

After a few minutes, Mara came to the room

"You call Master"

"Yes. I think it is time for your mission" he started "I want you to go to Yavin 4 and bring me Skywalker kid"

Mara nod

"Right away" and with a bow she left, while Grand Admiral Thrawn smile "Let's see what Skywalker will do when he realize he had to fight against his wife to save his daughter life" he said laughing.

Now the things will start to get bad for Luke. What will happen?
