The mundane every day life, the risky and mad real world. Miyuki lives his life in a calm rush, since his destination is an early grave. Life like his... is full of surprised except its end.

"S'up, Miyuki! Watchu doing?"
"Watching porn, as always."
"C'mon, I know you breathe and eat degeneracy, but you wouldn't do that at sch-... Oh, holy shit, you're really doing it." And the Sports Queen Aoi Suzuhara turns her face away once she saw a glimpse of what her childhood friend Miyuki Ookami was watching on his phone: an indecent video of four people getting it on, toys and ropes included in the action. She should've known by the lewd smile he had, but it was wishful thinking. "Seriously, Miyuki... You shouldn't be doing that here."
"You're probably right, but as long as the disciplinary committee doesn't see it, I guess I'm in the safe." Miyuki intones, finally closing the video and tossing his head backwards on his seat. It was lunchtime, but he wasn't feeling particularly hungry because of his batch of medication, so all he had right now was his childhood friend's company and the wonders of the internet on his phone since his other friends were in detention for peeking on the girl's changing room. And he was okay with that...
"Aaaah~, so bored~. So fucking bored~." But Aoi was having none of that, as she was bored out of her mind it seems. There was no club activities today, and Miyuki's usual moroseness seemed slower than ever. Truly, for the Sports Queen, today was a slow day. "Why does boredom strike in slow days but never on busy days? That's so annoying, yo."
"Repeat that phrase, and maybe you'll get why." Miyuki chirped while Aoi continued to hum to herself, bored out of her mind. She apparently didn't realize she just answered her own question.
"I get it now." The bleach-haired beauty said with a snap of her fingers, drawing Miyuki's attention once more. What did she 'get' is what drawn him, anyway. "Gonna challenge myself to a trial: I'm gonna do a 100 hoops in sequence, and for every time I miss, I'm gonna eat a rotten riceball. It ends the moment I either finish the 100 hoops or I die from food poisoning! That's it, that's what I'm gonna do to fight this boredom."
"Ah... Okay."
"Gonna record it and post it on nico-nico and youtube too! '100-hoop challenge with rotten riceball penalty'! Is going to get viral and have tons of dislikes!" Finished the sports Queen with a shining grin on her pretty face, all falling onto place in her little masterplan: fighting boredom, killing and practicing, getting famous on social media and the likes, the perfect idea indeed. Miyuki on the other hand was smiling awkwardly. Since when she got so fired up? It's kinda funny, not lying.
"If you do it shirtless, I bet it's gonna be even better. Just imagine: 'bouncy sports genius shaking her goods for a challenge'. Ain't that a better name." He laughs. "Of course, I'm going to be 100 times more interested, then."
"Perv! Always with the jokes, you little you!" Despite his typical degeneracy, Aoi's good humour didn't falter, and so her only response was a playful sucker punch on Miyuki's arm. After that one, however, both friends slid down their chains and let themselves bask in the afternoon sun. Today was a pleasant day, at least. A boring, but pleasant day...
"Such a warm day. It feels nice..." Miyuki happily sighs, closing his eyes and letting himself be embraced by the lukewarm sunlight. Aoi, who was mimicking such, nodded to the ceiling.
"Yeah. Maybe a boring day isn't so bad." She added.
For that, Miyuki nodded to no one, and so the two childhood friends continued to be blessed by the king aster until the school bell rang to announce the end of their break. Just another day in Kuoh academy.
The simple pleasures of a simple lad known as Miyuki Ookami. Life might be chaotic, but it wasn't all that bad...
He didn't notice beforehand, but during his little siesta his phone rang, from a special number only he knew about...
"Hey, Aoi-chan?"
"Yeah, Miyuki?"
"Say, this weekend, how about a date with me? Like friends, of course..."
...
'Miyuki, Ichijou, today's mission is thus: we were informed that the descendant of the Spartan King Leonidas II, Leonidas MCCXIX, is leading an entire armada of 300 dutch flying ships and causing havoc whatever they attack; killing, pillaging and raping any individual in their wake. They already attacked almost 20 cities as for now and they're heading towards Japan as we speak. This is your mission: contact Leonidas MCCXIX and try to reason with him, and if negotiations are not viable, engage with lethal force.'
"So, today's mission is a negotiation trial between us and Leonidas-kun? I don't actually like those kind of missions, but I have no choice." Miyuki shrugs to himself, a tired smile on his lips as he walks with his dear partner Ichijou Tsukino on the Chinese plains looking for Leonidas's flying armada. According to Tobio, there were reports of an attack of the supernatural spartan army on a nearby korean village, so if their calculations are right, they should be getting closer. "So, Ichijou, how do you feel today? On the mood to kick some spartan arse and maybe post it on instagram? Truly, a flying dutch armada of ships would be something to behold."
"Shut up, Himejima. I'm not in the mood to talk to you." Was Ichijou's blunt response, making Miyuki drawn an uneasy smile on his rosy lips. The swordsman seems to be in a foul mood today, and after what happened last time, the hybrid wasn't in the right state of mind to tease him about it and maybe lose a limb or two. They had a mission to do, so better be in their best behavior. "Let's just end this and go home. King or not, I won't tolerate bullshit either from you or him. If he refuses to talk, its oblivion to him... And you if you piss me off, Himejima."
"Aye aye, Ichijou." The hybrid saluted, and from that only a small grunt from the senior Grigori member.
As they finish their little spiteful conversation, the winds on the plain started to blow harder, and at a distance massive and numerous shadows started to lurk above the otherwise green fields of the Chinese ground. They shot their eyes up and both agents grew silently amazed on their view...
Tobio wasn't kidding: floating in the air above the clouds there was an entire armada of ghostly decaying ships, 300 of them in fact, all branding a spartan symbols on their flagships and carrying with them many, many seminude warriors, all of them branding shields and spears and wearing nothing but leather loincloths, golden helms and golden sandals, all lead by a bigger ship where a single soldier was looking down the plains below, spear and shield at hands and a golden crown decorating his helm...
Coming with it, dark clouds like heralds of the end followed suit, hiding the plain in pure hopeless darkness where used to be blessed by the light of the Sun, like a contained cursed storm. And not just that: from the ship, cannonballs would fall onto the earth and hurt the ground, creation nothin but destruction and death on their way. Indeed, it was exactly how Tobio describe it, if only worse from there...
"Well, jackpot. I think this is our target for the day." Miyuki chirped, letting out a impressed whistle looking at the nightmarish armada on the clouds. Enemies or not, that was cool and impressive. With his amazement now dead, he turns to his newly partner. "Now, how to deal with that? Any ideas, Ichijou?"
"Ikuse-san said that we first need to contact Leonidas MCCXIX and see his true intentions. If he is hostile, then we must engage to stop it." Ichijou repeated his orders, picking from his pocket a rather large megaphone and without a second screamed directly from it. Miyuki couldn't shield his ears on time, and now the ringing on his hearing starts. Now that was a dick move from the swordsman. "KING LEONIDAS FROM SPARTA, WE ARE THE AGENTS OF THE GRIGORI INSTITUTE OF FALLEN ANGELS! IF YOU'RE WILLING TO COOPERATE, CEASE YOUR ATTACK AND LET US DISCUSS YOUR POSSIBLE INTEGRATION INTO OUR RANKINGS!"
And from the skies, there wasn't a response, but as duo could see, once Ichijou was done, all the gasthly flying ships stopped on their tracks, and the main leader in the armada seemed to turn it's attention to the agents down below. A few seconds of silence, no response...
"IF YOU'RE HEARING ME, PLEASE RESPOND. STOP YOUR RAMPAGE IF ONLY FOR A FEW MOMENTS SO WE CAN TALK." The samurai continued with his amplified shouts, fortunately Miyuki now able to shield his sensitive ears against them. A few more seconds passed, and nothing. "KING LEONIDAS, PLEASE RESPOND, GIVE US ANY SIGN."
And in the end... There wasn't a response at all.
I mean, vocal at least. On the other hand, turning all their cannons against the duo and then barraging them with cannonballs and flying spears was a pretty clear visual answer, at least.
Oh.
*SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!*
"Barbarians, barbarians indeed. No wonder they went extinct." Ichijou muttered angrily, unsheathing his katana to unleash a vicious dance of swings that cut down all the weapons going into his direction with his blade, leaving the duo unharmed. A few seconds later, a new barrage of spears and cannonballs came from the armada, and again they were rendered broken by Ichijou's sword. "This won't go anywhere. We better go there and talk with this Leonidas guy face-to-face, and if he resists, we'll have to use lethal force."
"Aw man~, so unpleasant. I don't like using that~." Miyuki whined, earning an eye twitch from his partner. "Against all those things too, that's too much of a hassle. My Sacred Gear can only deal with so many targets , y'know."
"Shut your trap, Himejima. You do have a Balance Breaker, don't you? Use that to deal with that shit." Scuffed the brunette with a groan, earning a nervous laugh from the hybrid.
"Well, I do, but it's useless against enemies stronger than me. And I know for a fact they're way out of my league." He sighs, and again Ichijou twitches his eyes to the sheer absurd that sentence spoke. He said that his Balance Breaker, the special ability awakened in every Sacred Gear, a game-changer that could possibly shake the nature of the world itself, hence its name, was not to be used against strong foes? What sense does that make? Miyuki slides his stare to his partner. "What about you? Any sacred gear ability or Sacred Gear to help us? An awesome one, for a change?"
"..."
"Ichijou...?"
"None of your business, Himejima." He sparely says, responding to Miyuki's question only not really. Nothing else to add, Ichijou summons a magical rune with a snap of his fingers and starts to float with it, the magical drawing serving as a platform for him to stand above the ground. "Whatever. I'll be going ahead and destroy the armada and free the slaves the spartans picked from the sacked villages. If you're feeling your best now, you can on ahead and talk Leonidas off this madness. Good luck with that, though."
"Will do. Take care, Ichijou." Miyuki responds with a smile, but didn't get a respond from his partner since he flew away from sight, being carried by the magical rune summoned. Oh well, time to get the job done then. Miyuki clapped his hands together and made a sign with his hands. "Chirp, chirp! Come forth, King of the skies!"
His chant came forth, and from his hands mercury starts to ooze, morohing itself in the air and turning and twirling until it took the shape of a gigant falcon made out of liquid metal. Grasping his firmly by the arm, the mercury avian flapped it's silvery wings and took flight against the flying armada above.
Cannonballs, spears, arrows and even junk, everything was being thrown against the Grigori agent and his mercury animal, but like a real eagle, Miyuki's summon easily dodged those projectiles with twists and turns too fast for the naked eye to keep up, all the way leading to the main ghost ship in the sky, where King Leonidas MCCXIX was now commanding. He tried to look for Ichijou while at it, but the swordsman was already out of reach and sight to care, probably already landed on one of the ships. Oh well, he's probably fine for now...
"Okay, then. Sky King, over there!" The hybrid pointed at the bigger ship in the heart of the armada, and without losing a single beat lost, the summoned silver beast took its way to it, where they both could already see a small throne made out of golden and silver weapons mashed together in a single entity, where a single spartan soldier wearing a golden crown with his helm rested! There he was, Leonidas MCCXIX. Looking down, Miyuki also noticed a platoon of spartan soldiers gathering and readying their weapons to gracefully host the Grigori child. Said child let out a chuckle, dismissing his flying anyway and then signing again as he freefell from the sky onto the ship! "Fueeeeee~! Come forth, stampede!"
And all the spartan soldiers barring their weapons were ready to on a college student with their weapons, but not what came forth once he finished with a hand sign: an entire herd of silver elephants charging at them with furious anger. The ship's deck practically crushed itself with the combined weight of the ferocious beasts, and no matter how many times they attacked, none of the warriors could even dent a single of the animals, which would stomp, throw and bump them away without a single sign of mercy. They noticed, however, that the silvery giants would only immobilize or incapacitate them, not kill, and they would always throw the soldiers onto other ships instead of their deaths down below.
That was a sign of the good nature of the user of its original Sacred Gear Platinum Hylic, Miyuki Himejima, or Miyuki Ookami.
"Dismiss. Good job, everyone." And from the chaotic herd of ungulates a clap was heard, and in another second, they dissolved again into a silvery puddle on the ground and then back into nothingness, revealing the young man controlling them, Miyuki Himejima. Adjusting his messy ponytail and cracking his fingers one last time, he turns his attention to the man sitting on the throne, wearing nothing but a leather loincloth, a crimson cape and a golden helm with a golden crown on top. Like always, Miyuki politely bows to the King. "Good afternoon, King Leonidas MCCXIX. Care to have a chat with yours truly? My name is Miyuki Himejima. Care to stop this senseless rampage and maybe we can talk? By the way, what's your favorite flower?"
"I have no words for the likes of you, trash." The King Leonidas says, not moving from the slouch of his throne as the armada around them started to move again. "My armada is heading towards the end of the world, to conquest everything and everyone that stands in our way. If you're not with Sparta, you're against it, therefore I have no ears for your kind."
"What a pity. It seems that I'll have to make you listen to me, then." Miyuki shrugs and laughs softly, but then he claps his hand together and makes the same sign from when he met Ichijou for the first time. "Woof! Come and feast!"
And from the morphing silver goo on his body, came forth the same giant wolf made out of mercury, roaring its way against the King in his throne, who didn't seem fazed at all. In one second only, the silver animal charged and attacked the monarch, and from the burst a curtain of smoke rises, blinding the view from the massacre. Miyuki thought it was all over...
But not for long: jumping off the cloud of smoke, Miyuki saw the king now carrying a shield and a spear flying in midair, turning his attention to the agent and throwing his weapon at him! Since he was pretty far, the hybrid was able to determined where it would land, and so effortlessly dodged such, seeing the king now landing and charging at him with his golden shield!
"As expected from the spartan king. Fueee! Stampede!" Miyuki smiles and claps his hands together again, and from his sign he summons against an elephant herd to charge against Leonidas. The leader of the spartans however didn't seem fazed and charged back, and when the clash occured, much to Miyuki's surprise, it was his silver elephant who went flying to it's doom. "Oh, that doesn't look good..."
"Take this, scoundrel!" And his attention shifted to the King, but it was too late: Leonidas charging like an incontrollable rhino bashed Miyuki with his shield and sent him flying away with the impact! Miyuki felt like a car just hit him, fortunately the drugs numbing the pain that otherwise would be unbearable, and clapped his hands again to summon a silver eagle to save him from a deadly fall. But it's time was cut short as Leonidas picked his spear and threw it against the silver animal, practically blowing it in half! "Not on my watch!"
"Huh, what a formidable foe. Too bad we're enemies" Miyuki wondered as his eagle lost altitude and control over itself. No point in keeping it that damaged, so he dismissed it and landed alone on the ship's deck, facing the king once again. Despite being face-to-face yet again, none of them was motioning or attacking, only staring. "King Leonidas, if you're not willing to listen to me and join our organization, could you at least stop with this rampage and cease your armada? From what I was told, you and your army is causing a major ruckus around, pillaging villages, killing innocent people, raping women and making them your sex slaves, salting the earth below. Such barbary. It would be so nice if you just stop this madness..."
"Madness? What are you talking about, Miyuki Himejima? We are not destroying the earth, we are improving it." Leonidas statedz which draws a curious look from the Grigori agent. Improving it, he says? In what kind of logic does that make any sense?
"Excuse me...?"
"This world has forgotten the main reason as to why we live: to fight, to war, to kill." Started Leonidas with both his weapons up for combat. "Science, peace, education, prosperity; nothing of thoss matters but the violence that we grow within us. As the peak performancers of humanity, it is our duty to remind it the glory of war and conflict. Destroying the earth, weeding out the weak, we show the supremacy of the spartan race, the people who never ceased to fight. Those who died deserved to die, for they were weak, and there is no place for the weak in this world. No weakness, no disease, no whining, only progress by conflict. With this crusade, as shall remind the whole world... The spartan supremacy and our war power. To show how they lost during this nonsensical period of peace, and the glory of war."
"Uh-huh." Miyuki dumbly nodded to that, starting to understand from where Leonidas MCCXIX was coming from: he was a lunatic, a jingoistic crazy man who defends the toxic spartan mentality like gospel. Truly, he would be hard to deal with, if at all. "What about the cities you destroyed? What about the women that you're men are raping and making sex slaves out of? Does that sound like glory? Does that sound like a good show of power?"
"Again, you speak nonsense: the women we kept should be honored to receive our seed and bear spartan children." Without missing a beat, Leonidas answered with the straightest face, indicating that his statements were serious and absolute. "Any form of procreation, regardless of consent or ways, should be celebrated and cherished for its a sign of nor only survivability, but also selective evolution: since we killed all the males of their tribes, they were deemed as weak, so why procreate and spread weakness instead of our noble, strong sperm? Strong children for a strong future, instead of a weak, pathetic one without our genes."
"Whoa, you're really into this whole spartan shtick, huh?" Chirped the young Grigori agent, a bit taken back but still amused by Leonidas' determination. It was kinda adorable, really, but nonetheless, it also shown that he was a dangerous foe, a very dangerous foe. "So... You really believe everything you said up to this point? No turning back in your world?"
"The law of nature, the law that us spartans follow to the bone, is the absolute one in this world." And Leonidas lifted his weapons and pointed them at Miyuki. "We don't 'believe' in it... It is the absolute!"
"I see... Well, then. Guess I just have to drag you just head and body to the Grigori, then." Miyuki winked, and clapped his hands together once more. There was no reasoning with the spartan king, and given the opportunity, he would indeed kill him. So the only solution was thus: he would paralyse his legs and arms and drag him to the Grigori by the hair. It is only natural, after all. "Lower your weapons, spartan..."
"Moloney Iabe, motherfucker." Responded the king.
And after that... Silence.
...
*CLAP!*
"HISS! Medusa, strangle him!" And Miyuki clapped his hands and signed with them to summon from his wounds a true entangling of silver snakes, all of them baring their sharp mercury fangs at the charging spartan king!
"Not yet! Not yet!" Screamed Leonidas, pulling his spear and throwing it against the hybrid, not just destroying his silver nest barrage of snakes, but almost stabbing him on the heart, only saved by a quick dodge to the right! Still running towards the hybrid, the spartan was ready to pull him out of his boat and to his death! "Die, Himejima!"
"Hah! No use using my Sacred Gear, right? Well then, let's get physical!" Miyuki smirked and instead of signing another summon since he wouldn't be able to do so in time before a clash against the king, he closed one of his hands in a fist and aimed at Leonidas' shield. "Let's go...!"
"Tch!" Leonidas couldn't help but smirk as well seeing Miyuki's pathetic attempt at physical combat. His stance was unbalanced, and not only he was sick-looking, fragile and tired, it looked like he could drop dead at any moment. But regardlessly, he lifts his shield to contain the blow. Truly, Miyuki lifted a fist and punched the shield with all his might, and then... Nothing. A small vibration onto it's surface, but that aside, nothing. Maybe Leonidas shouldn't even have bothered. "Huh, pathetic. And you say my reasoning is absurd! Now let me show how...!"
*DOOOOOON!*
"WH...?!" But Leonidas was surprised by the sudden pressure on his shield! Out of the sudden, there was a banging sound, and from the part where Miyuki had punched, a dark light exploded with the force of a black firework, shining nighty sparkles everywhere. The king couldn't contain the sheer force of the attack, and was send flying to the edge of the ship, almost falling to his death if it wasn't for the counter to save him. A bit dizzy for the sudden movement, the king tried to recompose himself. "Damned... Weak... Brat... What the hell...?"
But once he saw the state of his shield, he couldn't finish his sentence: the proud golden shield, a round large protection with the spartan signal in it... Has been damaged. Not just that, it was crumbled to almost unrecognizable levels, as if it was made of tinfoil and had been deformed as such. What kind of monster power was needed to do that? How... No, impossible...
"Hey, King Leonidas. You still didn't answer me: what's your favorite flower?" Now the king himself turns his attention up, and sees the so called weakling standing tall and proud, cracking his knuckles a few times while streaks of black light fly everywhere around him, like black lightning. He licks one of his fingers and then smiles. "I... Am particularly fond of cherry blossoms. They give me solace."
Yes, that was... Dark light of a fallen angel.
Now, now. It was indeed stated beforehand that Miyuki does not have any form of significant amount of light energy, but he wasn't exactly lacking such, he was the son of a fallen angel governor, after all. And yes, his heart and body wouldn't be able to withstand the pressure of such power, so how?, you might be asking.
Simple: in a spam of less than a second, probably in a ratio of 1/1.000 of a second, Miyuki unleashes his maximum amount of light energy from his fists and, once in contact with a surface, the explosive release results in a devastating blow of both physical and light energy, while the small timespan doesn't allow his body to fully take the toll of the blow, saving him from side-effects that would've been fatal otherwise.
Out of sheer desperation and rationalization of his condition, Miyuki created a technique unique to himself, which no fallen angel no matter their ranking would ever be able to recreate...
[BLACKLIGHT]
The gift of life for me became nothing but a twisted joke; the miracle of holding a sacred gear became nothing but a curse that slowly killed my body. It isnt surprisingly that the only sparkle of light for me... Is darker than black.
