A/N: I put this up on my FSOG story as well. For those of you that reads all my stories from the top 3 genres (General Hospital, Scandal, and Hollywood Heights), I will be having 1 poll on my profile page for the next couple of weeks that I would like you to participate in. I am in the process of finishing a few stories that's on my profile page (it will take a long time though). I have had requests for awhile to continue certain stories, but between real life/work, I only have so much free time. On top of that, I have medical concerns right now. So, that's where the poll comes in (I'm not sure if I'm allowed 2 polls). This A/N will also be on my other story I'm currently posting (my GH story "Miracles from Heaven"). You can either participate in the poll or answer in the review section. I have 4 stories that have requests to be finished (1-Scandal's Jake Ballard/Olivia Pope 'Will Love Overcome' , 2-GH's Johnny Z/Elizabeth Webber 'Forbidden Desires', 3-GH's Patrick Drake/Sabrina Santiago 'Another Chance at Love, or 4-Hollywood Height's 'Hollywood Heights: Fighting Temptation' Eddie/Loren). 1) Which story do you want updated the most? 2) Do you want me to update when I have a chapter ready or when the story is complete? It will be awhile either way, just to warn you. I'd personally rather update when the story is complete incase I need to make any changes to any of the chapters. Title: Miracles From Heaven
Chapter 7
***The Next Day***
(It was time to meet with Dr. Hamilton Finn at the secret house. Josslyn was at home in her room in a pair of sweats and old t-shirt that Oscar gave her when they first started dating. She loved it as it was a reminder of his scent. Unfortunately, she grew sad as his scent was fading on the shirt. She was a bit relieved though that at least she still had the shirt in her possession)
(As Josslyn walks down the stairs, she was hoping that no one would see her leave. When she was at the front door to the mansion, she opens it to see Max)
Josslyn: (smiles slightly) "Hi, Max."
Max: "Hi, Josslyn. Off to run errands?"
Josslyn: (nods) "Yeah, something like that. I'll see you later."
(Max nods as Josslyn walks past him. She calls an Uber as she walks. She had her learner's permit, but
not quite her license. In a few days, when she took her test, she was positive she'd have it. Between Max, her parents, Michael, and then Sonny, she had plenty of practice under her belt. When the Uber arrives after 15 minutes, she directs the driver where to go. Once she arrives at the house, Josslyn sees a 4-door sedan in the parking lot. She knew it was Dr. Finn's as he told her what he drives. She goes inside and sees Dr. Finn in the living room)
Josslyn: "Hi, Dr. Finn."
Dr. Finn: (nods) "Hello, Josslyn. So, you wanted to discuss something with me? You wanted my doctor's equipment here with me."
(He shows her his bag before he speaks)
Dr. Finn: "I'm a little bit curious on what I'm doing here."
Josslyn: (sighs deeply) "First, you have to promise that this stays between you and me. We may not be at the hospital, but I believe you're still under doctor patient confidentiality, correct?"
Dr. Finn: (nods) "Yes, I am. But, I still don't get it."
Josslyn: (nods) "You're about to and I'm sure you'll be in shock at first. I assure you that I have a plan in motion. Dr. Robin Scorpio-Drake will be arriving in a few hours."
Dr. Finn: (confused) "Why Robin?"
Josslyn: "I want you both here. I want you to be his regular physician. With Robin, she deals with developing formulas that help people that are near death."
(Dr. Finn briefly raises his hands in front of him)
Dr. Finn: "Whoa, Josslyn. What is going on? And who is 'he' that I'm going to be 'his' regular physician for?"
Josslyn: (raises her eyebrows) "Are you ready to meet your patient, Dr. Finn? Being you won't be getting paid from the hospital, I'm fully prepared to pay you for your time."
Dr. Finn: (turns his head slightly) "I'm not worried about the money. However, I'm wondering who this patient is."
Josslyn: "Come with me. He's upstairs in the first room on the left."
(Dr. Finn follows Josslyn to their destination. When they get to the top of the stairs and she opens the door to allow the doctor in, he takes one look at his intended patient and immediately grows concerned)
Dr. Finn: "Uh...um... Josslyn?"
Josslyn: "Now you see who you'll be helping."
(Joss walks next to the bed on the right side and faces Finn. Finn is at a loss for words momentarily before finally speaking)
Dr. Finn: "Josslyn, this is Oscar Nero Quartermaine."
Josslyn: (nods) "You're right. It is."
(While Finn fidgets, he points at Oscar's body in the bed and faces Josslyn)
Dr Finn: "Joss, how did he get here from the morgue? If you moved him, you could very well get into some serious trouble."
Josslyn: (shakes her head) "I'm not worried about me, Dr Finn. I'm here for Oscar. You're here for Oscar."
Dr. Finn: (sighs) "Josslyn, I'm sorry about Oscar. Really, I am. But, he died the night Kim felt his pulse. He had no heartbeat."
(She walks a few steps towards the good doctor)
Josslyn: "That's true. Kim did feel for his pulse. However, she didn't feel it long enough. She probably only felt it for thirty seconds. I felt his pulse for two full minutes. When I went to the morgue to say goodbye to Oscar one more time, I laid my head over his heart as I cried, I was shocked as hell to feel a slight pulse. I then rested my fingers against his neck to see if I could feel something... anything. I felt his neck for two full minutes and in those minutes, I felt 2 heartbeats. I didn't think that was possible. I mean, Kim checked his pulse, Dr. Finn. She's a doctor. But I wanted to see it for myself that he was truly gone. Imagine my surprise when I felt his heart beat a few times. Dr. Finn, Oscar may barely be alive, but he IS alive. I won't go into detail about how I got him here. But Oscar will be here until he's fully recovered. I want your doctor patient confidentiality so that this stays here. It doesn't leave this room. I want you to be Oscars doctor as I not only consider you a friend but a great doctor. As for Robin, she's aware of Oscar. She'll arrive in a few hours to see Oscar and determine what she can do for him. I will have her create a formula or some kind of medicine to help bring back Oscar."
(Finn sighs deeply at what he was hearing. He couldn't believe his ears. In a way, yes, he's helped other patients before that were near death. But he didn't know that he'd be helping Oscar. He wanted to help Oscar, he did. He just didn't want to give Josslyn false hope in case he couldn't in the end. He slides his hands through his black hair as he tried to think. He walks around in a circle before meeting Josslyns eyes)
Dr. Finn: "Josslyn, I would love to help you, but...I-I honestly don't know if I can."
Joss: "You haven't even tried, Dr. Finn. Yes, he's connected to all the machines, but it's to help him breathe and stay alive so you and Robin can help him."
Dr. Finn: "Okay, say I did help you. What if I fail and Oscar died in the end, anyway?" (sighs) "Josslyn, I'd never forgive myself if I tried and failed in the end."
Josslyn: "At least you tried, Dr. Finn. Yes, I want a miracle to happen to Oscar. But I know your history as well as Robin's history. I do have faith that you two will bring him back. Money is no trouble. If you need it for anything, I have it."
Dr. Finn: (chuckles dryly) "You have that kind of money lying around? I highly doubt that. Yes, your parents and Sonny are loaded."
Josslyn: "Let's just say...I have my own. We'll leave it at that."
Dr. Finn: (nods) "Fair enough."
(Josslyn walks to the good doctor until they're inches apart and speaks in a serious tone)
Josslyn: "I meant what I said, Dr. Finn. I want you to help him. I've never seen you to turn down a patient, no matter who it is. I don't want you to start now. What's it going to be?"
(Finn stared at Josslyn for what felt like forever before placing his hands on his hips, looking up at the ceiling. He then faces the teen)
Finn: "Okay, I'm in." (shakes his head) "I can't make any promises. I will do my best to bring Oscar back to you."
(Josslyn smiles wide and quickly hugs the doctor)
Josslyn: "Thank you, Dr. Finn!" (clears her throat) "Now, Robin will be here soon to go over what needs to happen first regarding Oscar. I'll let you examine Oscar and see what we need to do right now."
Dr. Finn: (nods) "Okay."
(Josslyn stays out of Finn's way but remains in the room. She was curious how Finn did his doctors work. Sure, she watches him when he'd help her at the hospital or if she was with her mom. But she never saw Dr. Finn help Oscar)
(Dr. Finn first checked Oscar's vitals. His vitals were weak, of course. However, he did still have a slight pulse. Finn did the rest of the necessary checkup before facing Joss)
Finn: "I'm finished."
Josslyn: (hopeful look) "And?"
Finn: (shakes his head) "I'm not going to lie, Josslyn. Oscar's in bad shape. I'm still shocked that he's alive being Kim pronounced him dead. But, he's alive, yes. The machines are helping him stay alive until he gets better. You said Robin is aware of this?"
Josslyn: (nods) "For the most part, yes. She should be here in about..." (checks her watch) "...two hours. Like I made clear earlier Dr. Finn. This needs to stay in the house. No one can know about this."
Finn: "Don't you think that Kim would want to know that Oscar's alive? She'd do everything in her power to help him heal."
Josslyn: (nods) "You're right. Kim would want to know about this. The reason I'm not telling her? I don't want her to get her hopes up in case this whole thing doesn't work. I'm going to remain hopeful that it will so the love of my life comes back to me. I know Kim would want to do everything in her power to heal him. But what if it doesn't? She would never forgive herself and then she'd have to grieve all over again for him. I don't want that for her. To be honest, Dr. Finn, I would never forgive myself if I told her and despite all our hard work if it didn't work, it didn't work? It wouldn't be right."
Dr Finn: (sighs deeply) "While I don't completely agree with you on this, I do see your point. I know Kim would be devastated if that happened. I honestly think it would send her over the edge if she had to grieve again if it didn't work. But like I said, Joss, I'll do everything I can to help you."
Josslyn: "I appreciate it."
Finn: "Depending on what Robin says when she gets here, maybe she can develop a formula of some kind to bring him back for good."
***About 2 Hours Later***
(Robin was unsure of this whole thing. She was clued in on the Oscar situation. In her years as a doctor, she has brought patients back from the brink of death)
(Robin was hoping it would go okay with Oscar, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. After safely landing in Port Charles, Robin had a taxi deliver her to the address she was given. She texted Josslyn that she was on her way. Josslyn said to come right in. Once there, she knocked and then went inside like she was told. Robin looked around before making her presence known)
Robin: (raises her voice) "Josslyn?! Are you here?!"
Josslyn: (raises her voice) "Upstairs Robin! First door on the left!"
(Robin finds the stairs and goes up to the room she's told to go in. She sees Dr. Finn and Josslyn next to Oscar's sleeping body on the bed. She walks to the young man)
Robin: "Wow, you're right, Josslyn. He does look very pale and not much life in him."
Josslyn: "I know. I'm hoping that's where you and Dr. Finn come in."
(Robin faces the good doctor and shakes his hand)
Robin: "Hello. Nice to see you again...even though it's under sad circumstances."
Dr. Finn: "Same here and yeah, I agree."
(Robin and Finn face Josslyn)
Robin: "Okay, Josslyn. Talk to me."
(Josslyn places a few strands of hair behind her ears before speaking)
Josslyn: "Okay, here's the thing. I wanted to say goodbye to Oscar one last time. As I was crying, I laid my head over his heart for a few minutes. I immediately lifted my head when I thought I heard a heartbeat. I knew I had to have been mistaken. So, I put two fingers to Oscar's neck where the pulse should be. I left it there for two minutes. I was shocked as hell to feel two light heartbeats. I didn't know what to do. I immediately wanted to tell someone but I had a feeling that no one would believe me. So, I made arrangements to have Oscar moved here. I wanted to take the necessary steps to bring him back to life. I'm not sure how to do that, so that's why I brought you and Dr. Finn here. You two are doctors, so I knew you could help."
(Robin looks at Finn, who nods his head, as if to confirm Josslyn's story. Robin looks at Josslyn again)
Robin: "I'm flattered that you thought of me, Joss. But why me?"
Josslyn: "Simple. Because you have a history of bringing people back from the brink of death."
Robin: (sighs) "Why isn't Kim involved? Oscar's mom. She's a doctor of some kind."
Finn: "I asked Joss that, too."
Josslyn: (shrugs) "What if it didn't work? What if, by chance, everything we did didn't work in the end? Kim would have to grieve all over again. I don't want that for her. Sadly, I'd never forgive myself. If my plan works and Oscar is able to live a full life, I will accept the consequences of my actions and agree to the punishment. But, I'll be happy knowing Oscar is back with us."
(Robin faces Dr. Finn and nods)
Robin: "As much as I disagree with Joss, I see her point. From what I hear, Kim and Drew are still very much grieving over the loss of Oscar. I don't live in Port Charles anymore, but I do hear what's going on every so often from the people here when I chat with them."
Josslyn: (to Robin) "I would like you to take on this case. I have faith in you that you can help me, help Oscar. I know it may take time to do it. Like I told Dr. Finn, money is no object. I have the resources, too."
Robin: (confused) "I'm not worried about the money. But how do you have that kind of dough if you're only a teen? I'm guessing from your parents or Sonny?"
Josslyn: (shakes her head) "I won't get into how I have the money. That's my business."
Robin: (nods) "Understood."
Josslyn: "I want you to help me, Dr. Scorpio-Drake. Are you in or out? By the way, like I told Dr. Finn, you are bound by doctor-patient confidentiality as I don't want anyone else knowing about this."
Robin: "While I don't agree with it all, no, I wouldn't say anything." (sighs deeply) "To answer your question, Josslyn...yes, I'll help you. I have to fly back home now and then as I do have other patients and my family. But yes, we're good to go."
Josslyn: (nods and smiles) "Thanks. Now, we can take the necessary steps to bring Oscar back to us."

Thanks for the reviews, follows, and favorites. I'm changing my updating schedule for this week only (so far). I'm at home due to medical issues, so instead of the usual Sat/Sun, this week (week of October 4th) it'll be Wed/Friday/Sat/Sun. If anything changes, I'll let you know on Sunday the 11th.
