As Armin, Makarov and Happy made their way back to the guild, Armin began to think about his friends and comrades back in his world. He still doesn't know the outcome of the battle. He still doesn't know if Eren, Mikasa, Jean, Connie and the others are safe. He can only assume and pray that everything is ok.
Once they entered the guild, Makarov asked Lucy if it would be ok if Armin stayed with her until he could find a home for himself, much to the dismay of a certain redheaded-knight. Lucy, of course, said it would be no problem at all and would be like having an older brother at home. Makarov also explains to team Natsu that he has a job for them tomorrow, but doesn't disclose what it is.
The two blondes bid the guild goodnight and walk off towards Lucy's home.
"Do you know what job the Master has for us Armin?" Lucy asks with mild curiosity
"No I'm afraid not, he only said that he would like for me to accompany you guys" Armin says as the two blondes begin to walk closer to Lucy's apartment.
"Hey Armin, since you're going to be going with us tomorrow, what other magic do you use other than your transformation magic?" Lucy asks. "You can't exactly transform into a monster that's taller than the cathedral during any confrontation we might face"
"Well I do use magics called "Hardening" and "Steam Emission" Armin says. " The hardening allows me to harden parts of my body into a blue, crystallised form, while the steam emission is self explanatory".
"Interesting" Lucy says "Your powers could've been very helpful on the last job Natsu and I took by ourselves, especially since Natsu blew our cover and destroyed half of the property we were on."
"That sounds exactly like Natsu" Armin says while sweat dropping
The two blondes then make their way into Lucy's apartment. Armin notices that the apartment is quite small, only having one bed, a kitchen, a small bathroom, and a small couch.
"Home sweet home" Lucy says. "Sorry if it isn't as large as other apartments, but this was all I could afford at the time and it's kinda grown on me. I'm also sorry that I have only one bed, but you can sleep on the couch if you want too".
"Thanks for the offer Lucy, but I wouldn't want to intrude on you. I can sleep on the floor, I am used to it by now." Armin says
"No No, I insist you use the couch. I'd feel bad just letting you sleep on the floor." Lucy replies
"Thank you Lucy" Armin says
Lucy then brings Armin into the kitchen & decides to fix the both of them a simple dinner, consisting of chicken along with some vegetables and a sweet potato. While she is cooking their meal, Armin decides to look around the apartment. He notes that the apartment matches Lucy's personality as the decor seems to be flash yet humble at the same time. Armin notices that she has a couple of pictures on a table that show a man with blonde/gray hair and a woman that has a stunning resemblance to Lucy.
"Hey Lucy, are these your parents in this picture?" Armin asks
"Yep" Lucy replies from inside the kitchen. "That's Jude & Layla Heartfilia, my wonderful yet crazy family".
Armin then sees another photo of Lucy, Natsu and the rest of the team smiling brightly after a job it seems & and a picture of her and Natsu running away from some type of guards. He then moves from the table and goes to a desk that is near Lucy's bed and notices a book. Armin being the loveable bookworm that he is, decides to pick the book up and read the first chapter. As he begins to read the chapter, he begins to blush as their are some very erotic scenes in the story. Unbeknownst to him, Lucy walks into the room and notices what Armin has and screams.
"AHHHHHH!" Lucy shouts as she startles Armin, who drops the story on the floor and turns to Lucy with his cheeks lightly dusted in pink
"L-Lucy" Armin stammers as he is shocked from her sudden scream. Lucy then picks up her story from the floor and slaps Armin across the head, baffling him.
"Do not touch this story! It is not complete and I promised that Erza would be the first one to read it" Lucy shouts as she glares at Armin
"Wait, Erza likes smuts?" Armin asks as Lucy realizes her mistake with widened eyes and blushing cheeks. She then tells Armin to go eat his dinner while she goes to take a shower and to not touch anything else while she is gone. Armin does exactly as she says and eats his dinner, while she is gone. Ten minutes later, Lucy comes out of the shower and eats her dinner while Armin is sitting on the couch after finishing his meal. The two blondes then swiftly go to sleep as they have a long day ahead of them.
Armin & Lucy wake up very early in the morning and reach the guildhall, where Makarov, Mira, Natsu, Happy, Gray & Wendy are waiting for them & a certain red-headed knight.
"Hey Luce" Natsu says as he walks up to her with a bright smile that melts her heart and causes her cheeks to blush, something that didn't go unnoticed by our titan shifter.
"Sup Armin," Natsu says as he gives Armin a fistbump as Armin does the same.
"So who are we waiting for?" Armin asks with mild curiosity.
"We're waiting for Erza," Gray replies "Let's just say she likes to be very prepared when we go on jobs"
"Okay?" Armin says as he doesn't exactly know what Gray means by "very prepared".
"Master, what's the job you want us to take" Wendy asks as the rest of Team Natsu huddling around Makarov to hear the job he wants them to take.
"Well the job is quite special Wendy" Makarov starts. "There is a client in a town that is close Mr. Kruger's house and he has asked for Team Natsu, specifically".
"Did he give you any details about the job?" a strong voice says. The voice belonged to Erza as she made her way towards the Master as she greeted all of her teammates with a slight nod of her head.
"No, I am afraid not my dear" Makarov says. "The client simply asked for this team and nothing more. They said that they will tell you more once you arrive at the town".
"This seems very suspicious to me," Armin comments. "Why ask us to take this job and not give us any background details about the mission. We could be doing something that affects someone for the wrong reasons or the client's own personal gain"
"While your points are valid Armin, we have no choice but to simply hope that this job doesn't cause any harm" Makarov replies to the young blonde who nods his head in understanding. The team then accepts the job and walks out of the guildhall to reach the train station.
"I hope you know what you're doing Kruger, not only for Armin's sake, but for both of our worlds as well" Makarov says as he watches the team leave the guild.

I should have a better uploading schedule soon since the semester ends very soon.
