The Park:

Searching for Leo was probably the worse game of hide and seek ever, and we loved that game growing up. Raph had given me the parks to search and mannnn I loved the parks especially at night we could skate, run and play with no worries as to who was watching because in the dark a ninja is at his best. But this time the parks had almost a darkness to it, a feeling of betrayal and gloom for Leo would normally be here giving me the third degree on the dangers of being so exposed. It's ironic now I suppose because I had my skateboard on me to cover more ground and not really paying attention to if anyone could see a giant turtle in their city, Leo came first. But deep down I knew Leo wouldn't come to the park it was too open. I can never remember a time he even enjoyed coming here his mind was always worried and wandered whereas mine? It was the opposite.

See the thing is I took for granted how much Leo had to grow up for us. He was the oldest of us all and being given the title of leader at a young age meant he had to change, adapt and grow. Meeting him you would think he was such a boring , strict and negative guy and honestly so did I sometimes. But looking back now he wasn't those things at all in-fact he faced the biggest challenges, the hardest course and the toughest choices of us all. He never wanted to fail us or sensei and he was willing to sacrifice himself for any one providing we would be okay. He had to come up with plans, ideas, training, god knows what else and always in the back of his mind was the question "What if I loose them?" Thing is as a ninja you weirdly have to accept death from day one, you learn that one day you may loose a brother, a sister, a guardian or yourself. But some choose to accept that and others carry it as a burden.

I looked down at my shell cell it had only been an hour, I had managed to search two of the three parks already and had some of the homeless guys down by the docks looking too. They were our friends and never judged us by appearance but simply the fact we cared when others did not. They had sadly found nothing though.

"LEOOO!" I shouted it felt good to let out the pain what could be worry, anger or frustration. How dare he leave us like this? But why did he leave us like this? Tears streamed from my eyes and I crashed into the ground fearing the worst I wiped my tears. One more park and then what? I moved across the town and entered, it was only small and by the time I got out my board half hour later I was done. I checked the skate tunnels, the slide, heck I even looked under the picnic benches nothing... I didn't want to believe he was gone but if I didn't find him who else didn't? My shell cell beeped and my face lit up THEY GOT HIM?!

No... they did not it was Donnie texting about a broken April who had just found out the news. After a quick reply to return home and Donnie's yes I grabbed my board and headed back. Not long after my phone beeped again but this time I didn't get exited or even smile for I guessed it would be Raph.

"Staying out, you two help April and also get Casey down with the news... rest up and plan out tomorrow, don't worry about me." I let out a sigh I knew this would happen Raphael staying out all hours to find him, but I was exhausted and hurt so I knew to get Casey first and head back to plan and think about what to do. Knocking on the window of Casey's apartment he he grabbed his mask and sticks to come out not knowing what I was about to tell him.

"So who we busting up tonight then huh?" He took a practice shot at the TV.

"UH no one actually..." My face slumped into a painful frown.

"Uh okay well Im in the mood for swinging... Eh why the glum face?" He dropped his weapons he knew this was bad.

"It's Leo... he left us all notes last night and he's been missing ever since. Me and the bro's have been out all night and ... nothing. But Raph wants us all down the sewers thinking of plans, searching... you know the usual for a lost person case..." I could see the pain behind his tough exterior, the pain we all felt like our hearts could come out of our chest. He didn't even say a word, I don't think he knew how he just grabbed his bag and met me by the manhole cover outside. Silence followed us both how do you speak after bad news...

We got to our home and I could hear Aprils cries from outside, Casey's face was hurting just from hearing her. we walked in and before I knew it Aprils arms were around me tight. After some tears were shed and everyone was updated we began our plans. We each had a map, a pen and some paper. Lists of where to look and people who may had seen him, the night dragged but coffee and pizza was flowing to keep our minds open and our stomachs fed til dawn. No one even asked where Raphael was, they knew. The bond between Raph and Leo was a frustrating yet unbreakable one and if anyone thought he would come home empty handed... they were a fool.
