Sorry for taking so long my readers but I've fallen in the 'Among Us' Drug. I keep playing it, its freaking awesome!

Who else plays it? I'm mostly name Ghost and is in dark green with a military hat on.

Anyways, no one wants to see my bla bla so here is the chap you've been waiting for!

Chap 8: Last Night... I?

Slowly regaining consciousness, Cole fluttered his eyes open. He didn't recall going to sleep and a lazy glance around his bedroom, he couldn't find anything that would alert him. Yet, there was a very uncomfortable feeling in his gut, telling him something was amiss

Pushing away his very warm and nice blanket, the raven forced himself into a sitting position. It turned out to be a very bad idea as a sharp pain immediately struck his head. He hissed and pressed a hand against the pained area.

"Morning, child" A voice... Osore greeted as he appeared next to him. The raven frown subconsciously, something wasn't right... but what?

"Is everything okay, child?" Osore asked concerned after Cole remained silently staring at him. The earth ninja blinked a couple of times before shaking his head.

"It's nothing" He dismissed with a shrug in favour of getting out of bed. That's strange, he didn't change into his PJ's before bed?

Another sharp pain to his head brain. Damn, he really need an aspirin. He couldn't think with this headache...and loud grumble let him know food would also be extremely welcome.

"I'm going to get breakfast, you coming?" The earth master waited for the oni to follow him at the door.

"Child, did we not settled that I was to remain a secret last night?" Osore replied with a raised eyebrow

"We did?" A sting "Oh right, we did... I'll just bring you something later. See ya" He really needed that aspirin

Osore watched the boy leave with a frown. This morning when Cole reacted normally to him, he thought his magic had work perfectly. But it would seems he was far from perfection.

The fake events he implanted into the raven's memories had not yet settle in completely, rather they seems to be triggered little by little.

Cole walked towards the bathroom to get his aspirin. That damn headache was really something. One moment he was fine and the next, he would feel a sharp sting and snap, it would be gone as soon as it came.

But more importantly, he had to remember what the hell happened yesterday. He only recall bits and pieces... and now his head hurts again.

He grabbed the aspirin and made his way to the kitchen where he was greeted by Zane. The nindroid was making pancake and who doesn't love those?

"Morning Zane" Cole greeted back as he filled a glass of water. "Did any of the guys come back?" The raven asked casually, gulping down the pills. He didn't recall if any them returning to the monastery.

"Yes, but only Jay and Nya. Kai and Lloyd had to stay for the night. They should be released later this morning." Cole nodded and took a seat, piling up his breakfast.

He had already guessed Lloyd would have to stay over because of his momentary death experience. But it would seems that Kai did more than just sprain that arm of his... Or he simply threaten to put the hospital on fire if they didn't let him stay. The lovebirds (now official) must still be asleep. He briefly wondered where Sensei Wu went but knowing him, it was probably Garmadon related.

That left him to deal with the Oni... what is he even going to do about Osore? He would have asked Wu about it, but they agreed to keep him a secret... why did they even agree to that? What exactly happened last night? His memories were a jumble mess. Would the aspirin do its damb job already!

He remember they were talking, about... him? Oh yeah the Oni had saved him!... Why again? He recall something about Ninjago. Destroying? No... Rebuilding! Rebuilding Ninjago!... Rebuilding Ninjago?

"Rebuilding Ninjago?" Cole repeated, utter confusion written on his face

"Indeed. It is a long story that is far too complicated for a mere child" He wasn't going to quit with the child thing, was he? "But fate had wish for us to come this realm as our new home. Unfortunately, we are creatures of darkness and thus, darkness follows us everywhere"

That made sense actually. But it didn't explain why they even came to this realm, and what did he mean by 'new home's?

The Oni placed a hand on his shoulder, urging the raven to make eye contact.

"You have to believe it was not my intention to harm these peoples." Cole could only see sincerity in the bright purple eyes."We do not control the darkness" The raven nodded.

"But why do you need to rebuild Ninjago?"

"To protect the people of this realm. Like I said, we do not control the darkness. We could have build a place to trap away the darkness and a home..."

"A home?"

"Yes" There was no further elaboration but Cole let the subject drop. He could always ask later.

"So... what's your name?" The earth master ask after a a few moments of awkward silence.

"Osore. But I failed to see what you would need my name for" Osore's statement went completely ignored.

"Say Osore, do you really want to die?"

"Of course not!... But what else am I to do?"

"... well you could always join us?"

The master of earth received a look that says 'think again about what you just said'

"I mean Mystaké is an Oni too and she helped us several times"

"You may have a valid point child, but I do not wish to acquaint myself with any of you ninja" Silence "Tell me child, what power do you hold exactly?"

"I'm the master of earth. So I control the earth and have super strength" he flexed his arms to accentuate his words. The oni brightened considerably.

"That is perfect!" Osore exclaimed loudly, causing Cole to jump slightly.

"...what is?"

"You can build me a place to live"

"...huh?"

"Rather than joining your group of children, you could build me a home"

"...okay, as long as it doesn't evolve killing"

Cole shook his head slightly. There was something terribly wrong about yesterday night's conversation but he didn't have a clue about what it could be. That conversation was off, it just was somehow.

But... it did solved his questions. He needed to help Osore with a home without the others knowing cause Osore doesn't like them. He could do that.

It'll just be a quick solo mission.
