Another bright and early morning... Blossom decided to take a stroll around town to see what was there. The redhead smiled as she saw kids playing around on the playground. She remembered when she was a kid... Blossom has a lot of siblings, but most of them were out of town or old enough to start a family. She had four brothers and three sisters. The one who was really close to her was her sister that was only a year above her. She had stayed at her old school, and Blossom's grandparents were currently watching her for the time being because she didn't feel like she wanted to move away from all of her old friends.
My parents did beg her to stay with them, but she only picked a fight with them because her friends seemed really important to her. Blossom could understand because she would do the same. If she decided to move away from her friends she made now... she would become depressed. Her friends became really important to her so much..that they felt a part of her somehow. They were like family to her.
Blossom had another sister that was two years older than her... so, she's basically 18. Her sister is basically an actress and fulfilling her dream in New York. Blossom was also really close to her. I mean, all of her sisters began to be really close to Blossom, but her closest was her sister that was a year older than her. All of her sisters were only a year older than one another. She wished her sisters came to stay with her, but two of them were practically fulfilling their dreams and one of them couldn't part with her friends... she really hates to say this, but she felt homesick. She missed her family.
She missed the petty fights Blossom had with her older brother. Her older brother was only a year older than her. Blossom felt like he was the overprotective brother... he was so overprotective over Blossom. She missed him. She also missed how her brothers would always fight one another for the dumbest things ever.
FLASHBACK
She remembered the day like it was no other... Blossom was out playing dolls in the sandbox. She was about 5 in this memory. The redhead's ears perked up as she heard a lot of noise coming from inside the house. Yes, she had her own playground set out in the backyard. Blossom stood up and dusted off her knees before walking in, and spotted her older brothers teasing each other playfully. Boys, am I right? Her older brother was a year older than her. So, he was 6. He had dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. He had very pale skin at such a young age. Her brother had circle glasses to make him look smarter.
I mean, in Blossom's family all of her family members were smart. Blossom's other brother was three years older... so, he was 8. He has short, auburn red hair. It was a bit darker than Blossoms. He had blue eyes and sun-kissed skin. Her brother was the sporty type, and he always had a lot of fun teasing his siblings. She had another brother, but he was quiet, and always acted way too serious. He had dirty blonde hair and black eyes. Which was weird... cause her parents had hazel, and blue eyes. Not black. This guy has honey beige skin. Her brother was four years older than her. So, he was 9 at this time.
Blossom also had another brother, but he was only 2 years old. Her young brother had auburn red hair just like hers, and he had hazel eyes just like their mom's eyes. Blossom had three sisters... one was a year older than her. She had strawberry blonde hair that was slightly curled. She also had unnatural eyes... they were purple. Her sister was only 6 just like her brother that was 6. She had another sister... and she was two years older. So, she was 7 at that time. Blossom's sister has wavy, auburn red hair that seemed a bit brighter than Blossom's. She also had blue irises. Her other sister was three years older than her... so, she was 8. Her older sister had bright blonde hair and some hazel irises. She loved her family so much. There was this one time... that she had been picked on because of her eyes. It started in Elementary School.
First Year of Fifth Grade...
"Have your eyes always been pink?" said a guy as he leaned over his desk, and glanced at Blossom. The redhead nodded as a smile crept on her face. Does he like her eyes? Will he compliment them? There were so many questions, yet not enough answers. This guy was Blossom's, first love. "They look... freaky," He paused before continuing, "If you want somebody to love you... Then wear contacts." He had a look of pure disgust written all over his face. His friends were laughing their asses off. Blossom's eyes widened in horror. The guy stood up and threw Blossom's desk out of the way. She gulped, "W-What are you doing...?" He smirked evilly as he roughly pushed the redhead out of the seat, and onto the floor.
How can you be so blind? I'll never like a freak... like you," The guy bent over her and smiled mischievously, "A guy would be so stupid to fall for a pink-eyed freak such as yourself." He started to laugh, and then everyone in the class started to laugh. Even the teacher! The teacher was supposed to take responsibility for their actions. Not laugh! I mean, no one at her school... cared about Blossom at all. The teachers, the principal, and the students were all against her. She had no clue why... the redhead hadn't noticed, but her siblings... watched the whole thing.
"HEY! Leave our sister alone..." said my 12-year-old brother. He had his arms crossed, and his eyes were slits. Blossom, kinda imagined him as a wild animal looking for its prey. Also, how did all of her siblings get here!? Were they magical or something? Blossom's 8-year-old brother and her 14-year-old brother came running towards her as they helped the redhead up. Surprisingly, her 15-year-old brother also came... didn't he have a class to attend? Didn't all of them have classes to attend?
Her 12-year-old, 13-year-old, and her 14-year old sister. They had their fists clenched as they saw the display. The girls then went up to Blossom to see if she was okay. Good thing she was. My brothers then started to attack the boy except for her 8-year-old brother, since he didn't know how to fight. What... was stupid was the teacher called in more teachers for a guy... who hurt Blossom!? Yet, she didn't call the teachers!? What... kind of BS is this?
"You should know... if you're playing with my sisters' feelings.. one more damn time. I'll punish you, and you wouldn't like the results," Blossom's 15-year-old brother glared daggers at the kid as he watched him nod slowly. He had a couple of bruises on his face and had a black eye. Her siblings gently dragged Blossom out of her class before the teachers came in.
END OF FLASHBACK
She missed them so much... she wished that they would come to visit her... someday, but Blossom could only wish because they're probably too busy with their careers, and fulfilling their dreams. She won't let them stop because of just wanting to see her no... she wished them the best, and she doesn't want to interrupt their jobs. Blossom sighed as she gripped onto her bag as she continued to walk. The redhead loved the fresh air, the busy streets, and more importantly how friendly people are here. Blossom loved it all. She wished her siblings would... no. She can't think of her siblings right now. The redhead needed to enjoy this herself. Blossom found a beautiful beach, and it seemed like nobody was on it. The redhead sighed as she slowly made her way over to the beach, and peered out into the ocean. "So beautiful..." Blossom sighed dreamily.
"I know right?" A guy spoke. The redhead jumped as she peered up, and saw a pair of crimson red eyes looking down at her. Their eyes both widened in shock. "YOU? Wait... me? What do you want me for? Why are you copying me!? STOP COPYING ME!" Blossom and Brick yelled in unison. That was pretty freaky. Both redheads stopped and glanced at one another before they both burst out into laughter. "That was... weird," Blossom snickered a little bit.
"Right?" Brick smiled; as he turned to look at the ocean, "I wasn't joking... this ocean is pretty beautiful."
Blossom nodded in agreement as she too stared out in the ocean. Brick began to peek at the redhead before him. A smile crept onto his face. He never saw someone so...breathtaking. This girl had to be a goddess of some sort. She had soft, smooth, auburn hair... it was a bit lighter than Brick's, but... it looked cute on her. She had a cute red bow clip behind her head. This girl had peachy skin that matched with her rosy cheeks... also not to mention her red plump lips. Brick felt his heart quicken at the sight of her, but... it was not because of her body... it was because of her ravishing soft pink eyes... they look like bubblegum, and it just fit so well with her... he finally met the girl he dreaded to meet.
Blossom met the guy she had dreaded to meet. So, they were both surprised. "Do you come here, and think?" The red-headed female spoke as she placed a strand of her hair behind her ear. Brick sighed and nodded to respond to the question, "Yes. I come here if I needed to take my mind off something. It helps me think, personally."
"I can understand. If I had something on my mind. I would want a quiet spot to think," Blossom responded as she placed her hands in front of her. Brick peered down at her. I mean, she was small. She had to be 5'4 or something because he was 6'5. "Well, maybe we can both share this spot. I come here often, so I don't really mind," Brick said as he ran a hand through his hair. Blossom blinked as she looked up at him to see if he was joking... apparently not.
He was serious. "Hm, this place does seem quiet enough," She paused before continuing, "Why not?" Blossom turned to the ocean as she gently placed her bag on the sand before sitting against the soft sand. She had her knees underneath her chin as she stared at the ocean. Brick looked down at her as a smile erupted on his face. He slowly made his way to sit next to her. He had an 'L' sitting position.
"It seems like you were thinking about something. You also had a sad expression on your face as you got here. So, tell me... what's the matter?" Brick asked; his eyes were showing a tad bit of concern. Blossom peered over at him as she smiled before giggling, "Why do you care?" Brick got flustered as he covered his face before turning his head away from her.
"I mean, you don't have to, but it's good to tell your feelings... rather than hide them. So, tell me what's the matter, and you'll probably feel better," Brick mumbled. Blossom awed understandingly as she took a couple of deep breaths. Brick slowly turned his head towards her. He had a bit of a blush that smeared across his face. Brick looked at her skeptically.
"I was just thinking of my siblings... you see... they always been a part of my life. They saved me, saved me, and saved me from being bullied. I miss our fights for something stupid, our hangout spots to tell our deepest secrets, our sleepovers in someone's room, and also... I just miss them personally. Some of my siblings are old enough to do their own thing already, so... they're also fulfilling their dreams. Some of them are still in universities and studying really hard, and the rest... they're still at my old school. They don't want to leave their old friends... which I understand... the friends I have now... became a part of my life. I would've stayed with them..." Blossom explained briefly as she cried silently. Brick peered over at her and a sad smile came upon his face.
He scooted over to her as he embraced Blossom in a hug. She accepted and cried in his chest. "Sh... they'll probably come and visit. I know they will. If they miss you as much as you miss them... they'll come. I just know they will. Plus, if you're ever sad. Just sing," Brick said softly.
Blossom wiped her tears before speaking, "W-What?"
"Yeah, I always thought... singing... will make you happier rather than sad. I mean, it helped me. Why not give it a shot?"
"Okay... I'll give it a go."
Brick smiled as both of them parted. Blossom stood up and stared at the ocean. She knew what song she was going to sing. It was a song that her Grandma always sang to her whenever she felt sad. She took a couple of deep breaths and hoped Brick didn't laugh at her.
Hey Brother By: Avicii
Blossom:
Hey Brother, there's an endless road to re-discover.
Hey Sister, Know the water's sweet but blood is thicker
Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
Hey Brother, do you still believe in one another?
Hey Sister, do you still believe in love I wonder?
Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
What if I far from home?
Oh Brother I will hear you call
What if I lose it all?
Oh Sister I will help you out!
Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you,
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
Blossom had a smile on her face she sang. She peered down at Brick who stared right up at her, admiringly. Blossom could feel a hot blush smear across her face. She didn't notice, but Brick also felt something hot on his face too. Both of them stared at each other for a long time. Both of them snapped out of their gazes. Brick stood up and spun Blossom around. She giggled as she was being dripped down low, and brought back up again. Blossom stared at the ocean with a half-smile on her face.
Blossom:
Hey Brother, there's an endless road to re-discover
Hey Sister, do you still believe in love I wonder?
Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do
Aaaaaah, What if I'm far from home?
Oh brother I will hear your call
What if I lose it all?
Oh sister i will help out!
Oooh with the sky comes falling down, for
Brick saw Blossom's gaze softened as she stared out in the ocean. He felt a smile creep onto his face. The song she sang was generally beautiful. "I just know. You'll get to reunite with your siblings soon," Brick peered down at her. Blossom looked up at him with a smile upon her face as she nodded. "I know... I just need to wait," She said; it was more of a whisper, but Brick managed to hear it clearly. Brick chuckled as he reached over, and gently pressed the palm of his hand on top of Blossom's head. The redheaded female looked confused as her eyes widened. "I'm Brick. What's your name... if you don't mind me asking," He asked as he took his hand off of her head. Blossom awed understandingly as she bit down on her lip, and stared up at him with a smile on her face.
"Blossom," She responded.
Brick chuckled, "Like the 'Blossoms' on the tree?"
"Oh, shut up! At least my name isn't 'Brick' that's a cold, hard, brick that people use to build houses!" Blossom pointed a finger at Brick as she jammed her finger against his chest. Brick snickered as he gently held her finger, and placed it down by her side. "You got a point. Look, we have something in common already. We have very unusual names," Brick smirked. Blossom blinked before smiling up at him and nodded.
The redheaded male heard a beep and rummaged in his back pocket to find his phone. Brick peered down at his phone; it was a call from his brothers. He clicked the answer button and brought his phone up to his ear. "What do you want, Butch?" Brick questions; his voice sounding very irritated, "What...? They really came back? No way... Okay, I'll be right there!" Brick ended the call as he placed the phone back in his back pocket. He peered down at Blossom who looked confused. "I have to go... we'll see each other here again?" Brick smirked.
"Of course," The redheaded female brought out a piece of paper. As she scribbled a couple of digits down, on it. After she was finished; Blossom handed the paper to him. "Text me. Maybe we can talk more, also... thank you for helping me earlier," She smiled up at him before Brick could respond. Blossom stood up on her tippy toes and gave Brick a kiss on the cheek. He froze. The redheaded female smiled as she took her leave. He slowly reached up and touched his cheek before watching Blossom leave. Her long hair flowing in the wind... was breathtaking. Brick smiled before going in the complete opposite direction; he ran, of course, whatever Butch was talking about had to be important. Though, both of them left... they thought of one thing that made them smile brightly.
This is the best day ever!
