Guest: Thanks for the ideas.
Starpottergeek: Mothra will be in this story.
Alex walked down the familiar corridors of the facility she had been working at for the past four years. Four years was enough for her to know every single part of the facility.
It had been a few weeks since Jayden had revealed himself and decided to work with Kara and the DEO in order to at least get the Government of his back on capturing him and caging him, even Alex could see how he loathed being treated like an animal considering he was caged for his childhood and treated as a weapon.
Alex had also taken notice on how happy Kara seemed to be upon having him there. She tried to hide it well, but Alex knew her adopted sister well. She left it alone, deciding to tease her sister about it at a later date.
Turning down another corridor, she paused when she noticed a group of agents gathered outside one of the training rooms. All of them talking to each other as they looked at whatever was going on inside.
Making her way through the crowd, Alex spotted Hank standing there looking through the reinforced glass with his arms crossed across his chest. "What's going on?" Alex asked once she stood beside Hank.
A series of booms reverberated through the walls, making Alex jump and turn to the window. Shock covered her faced when she saw Jayden in his Zilla form and Kara in her suit, battling each other, throwing punches and kicks at one another. Each strike blocked on both sides causing small explosions to blast through the room.
"They've been at this for almost two hours now without a break." Hank said, answering his second-in-command's question. Although his expression was impassive, he was very impressed. Not many can keep up with a Kryptonian's strength.
Kara jumped to avoid a low tail swipe but Jayden just backhanded her into the wall, causing her to groan before she was quickly on the offence in a second, causing Jayden to block her punches and kicks before he grabbed her and slammed her down on the floor with him above her.
he said something to her that nobody could hear due to the glass but Kara nodded and the two got to their feet, the way they relaxed showed that the match was over between them.
Several agents groaned, some of them becoming a little rich with all the bets that had been going around on who would win the spar while Hank turned to them. "Alright people, show's over! Back to work."
As the agents went back to their workstations, Kara walked out of the training room and a few seconds later, a fully clothed Jayden exited the room since there was a little hidden curtain that would give him privacy to change and strip his clothing when needed. He grew tired of his clothes ripping every time he transformed.
"Enjoy the show?" Jayden asked as he fixed his coat hood.
"Quite impressed, actually." the Director said as they began walking into the ops center. "There are few species in the Universe that can match a Kryptonian in strength and none have walked away from a fight with one considering their strength and powers."
"Well, I was trained harshly in being prepared for one and battling Superman." Jayden said before he hummed. "Me and him really should have a spar."
Kara looked at him wide eyed. "I don't think Kal will go easy on you, Jayden." The son of Godzilla just gave her a grin that made her shake her head. "You're crazy."
"I'm Godzilla's son, fighting strong opponents is kinda in the blood." Jayden shrugged.
Jayden walked into his loft, a pizza box in hand after he had just gone out and bought himself a pizza, wanting to take a day off after spending the last few days battling crime as Zilla, he could use a break and rest. Even somebody with Godzilla's DNA and blood needed a rest.
Placing the pizza box on the table, Jayden walked over to his fridge in the kitchen and opened it, grabbing a can of Coka Cola and shut the fridge behind him as he walked over to the couch, plopping himself down and turned on his large plasma screen TV on the wall, going to watch some movies when he heard a knock on the door.
Confused, Jayden got to his feet and walked over to the door, grabbing the handle and slides it open to reveal Kara standing there smiling at him. "Kara? What are you doing here?" He asked, stepping aside to let her in.
"I was in the neighbourhood, thought I'd drop by." Kara said.
Jayden smiled as he closed the door and headed back over to the couch. "Isn't this the night you spend bonding with Alex?" He asked as he opened his can of Coka Cola and took a sip out of it.
"She's stuck at the DEO doing paperwork." Kara said, sounding a little disappointed at not being able to spend time with her sister. "I hope you don't mind me coming by, I didn't feel like being by myself."
The son of Godzilla shook his head. "Not at all, your doors and windows are always open for me. That respect goes both ways." he walked over to the fridge and got a can of soda, giving it to Kara. "Work go alright?"
"Usual." Kara nodded as she sat beside him on the couch. "So what you doing?"
"Just eating pizza and watching movies on Neflix, maybe Amazon Prime." Jayden said as he opened the pizza box and took a slice. "Want a bit?"
"Sure." Kara said and reached for her own piece while Jayden chewed his and selected a movie for the two for them to watch. "What was your mother like?" Kara suddenly asked.
Jayden glanced at her but decided to answer her question. "She was beautiful, nice, motherly, wasn't afraid to talk back to the ones who held us captive when I was a little rebellious. She was the only thing keeping me sane inside that facility and the hell I went through my entire childhood into my adult life. Her name was Sarah Mason, she loved the colour blue like the ocean and my atomic breath, like most she believed my father to be a hero, even onc egot up close and personal with him after he saved her life, which I think was what made Cadmus take an interest."
He stood and walked over to the windows and looked outside. "Part of me says I shouldn't have been so rebellious, that my mother would be alive if I just became the emotionless beast they wanted me to become, to be the destroyer they practically wanted me to be. It was my fault they killed her anyway."
A hand touched his face and made him turn to see Kara standing there with her hand on his cheek. She stepped forward and embraced him. It took a second before Jayden returned her hug, the two of them just standing there in silence, holding one another.
After some time, they stepped away with light blushes at the intimate position they had been in. "Thank you, Kara." Jayden said gratefully.
"You're welcome." The heroine replied, touching his cheek. "Remember, you are not a monster. If you ever need to talk, you know where to find me."
Jayden nodded as he took a breath. "Same goes for you." He said, making her blink. "I know you've been here for a long time, but I catch you staring up at the night sky sometimes. I see a similar pain in your eyes that I see in my own when I look in a mirror."
Kara looked to the floor before she met his gaze. "Even though I consider Alex, Eliza and Jeremiah my family after taking me in after Kal-El found me, I still think about Krypton and the life I had before..."
"Tell me about it." Jayden said once they sat on the couch and held Kara close as a emotional support. "What Krypton like?"
Kara smiled as she told him many things about her home planet, the two not noticing them holding hands tightly...
Not much action in this chapter, just deepening the relationship between Kara and Jayden by having them opening themselves up a bit on their emotional wounds in their lives.
