I'm saying right now, if there are errors I'm sorry but I wrote it this morning. I tried fitting my missed stories. (Halloween) Anyways, I want to say happy New Years! Been a crazy year yet we lived through it. I know some other people had it way harder than I did. Me Personally, I didn't have an issue with it, as in it didn't affect me. The dying and all, no comment. Besides that, hope ye enjoy this scrappy story.
GOODBYE 2020, HELLO 2021
DING DING DING*
Ryder tapped his cup and fork together. "As our final minutes of the year 2020 winds down, let's forget the bad parts, mainly coronavirus. But the last 3 months have been great for most of us. Let's look back to them and what they have done for us." Ryder said winking to zuma and Ella on the mention of Halloween.
Halloween...
The pups hadn't planned much for Halloween. Quarantine held them back for most of the year. Their rescue missions came less and less often as adventure bay took coronavirus seriously. Especially when it came to get togethers and parties. When Halloween was rolling by everyone was nervous. There had been cases of corona in the city but the pups and Ryder were lucky.
That's when zuma got an invitation to a party. Specifically to a Halloween themed party. Chase had also been invited as a plus one but he refused for his safety.
Zuma was invited by his good friend Ella who he had known for awhile. They weren't anything extra so far. Zuma had hopes to get farther with her. He wanted to know if she wanted to as well.
He just needed to get tested a week in advance and not leave the lookout. Luckily for him he had an easy way to get tested... Marshall.
"Ah... stop squirming your just making this harder." Marshall said sticking a cotton swab down zuma's nose causing to get wriggle uncontrollably. "Aaaaand done." Marshall said pulling the swab out. "Wasn't that bad was it?" Marshall added.
"Easy fow you too say, it felt weiwrd" Zuma said running his nose.
Marshall dropped the swab into a container and put it in a package. "We should be getting this back in a couple of days, I'll drop it off when I head back to the hospital, which is today." Marshall smiled.
"Thanks dude, I don't know what any of us would do without you." Zuma said.
"No need to flatter me." Marshall replied.
"I wish chase would have gone with you, so make sure you aren't doing anything... illegal..." Marshall said whispering so chase doesn't hear.
"Noooo, I would nevew do anything like that. Unless I was forced to." Zuma smiled.
"I better get going, they are probably going to need me." Marshall said walking out of the room they were in. They didn't have a name for it. It was sorta all purpose. Rocky used it for building somethings, Marshall used it to patch people up, ryder used it to show new plans for missions, etc.
At the party...
The car stopped in front of a nice and big house with orange and white lights covering it up. "Don't do anything dumb, let me know when you want to leave." Ryder said looking at zuma.
"Okay wyder." Zuma said before hopping out of the car.
Zuma could be considered very social, he made it easy to get to know someone. Like how he met Ella and tuck. Marshall also has that trait of being a social butterfly. Rocky and rubble are a different story. But that's not relevant for now.
Zuma didn't spot either of the twins so he went inside of the house as last years costume, a scientist. Mainly because it was simple.
Zuma walked by people saying phrases like "wassup duude" or "got any goods?" In a creepy tone to mess with people. He liked seeing their eyes panic. He even threw some flirts to single pups and pups with boyfriends. Luckily none ever got heated.
"So, you gonna quit saying dumb stuff?" Ella said tilting Zumas chair back.
"You scared me." Zuma nervously chuckled. "I thought I was gonna fall."
"Don't be a weenie." Ella sighed.
"Sooooo... where's tuck?" Zuma asked
"He couldn't make it, he went on a trip with our parents. So I'm just home alone." Ella said with a shrug.
"Oh..." Zuma said not having a response.
"Yep." Ella said.
They seemed to be having a nice time. Although words can be scary sometimes but these words scared everyone.
"A YO SOMEONE CALLED THE COPS!" Someone said yelled. Soon everyone started sprinting out clogging the doorway as cops sirens could be heard.
"We aren't going to make it out, this isn't my first time this happened." Ella said looking at the clogged door.
"What!?!" Zuma exclaimed going into panic mode.
"Oh jeez, Ryder gonna be mad that I'm gonna get arrested a—"
Ella cut him off with a kiss. "We won't get arrested silly. Just taken in till Simone picks us up."
"Still the police!"
Chase and Marshall walked into the police station. "Hello chase, I'm assuming your here for someone?" The lady at the desk asked.
"Yep, I'll go get him." Chase said. "Cmon Marshall." Chase added.
"Do you think Ryder will be mad?" Marshall asked.
"No, stuff like this happens a lot. The people who didn't do anything still get taken in. I can make sure Zuma is fine." Chase assured the worried Dalmatian. Marshall felt a little better but he could never stop worrying. "I said you should've gone with him." Marshall sighed.
Chase took a left to the cells and saw multiple people and pups in the cells lined up. "Please take me out, my mom will kill me!" One begged causing a lot more to beg. "Ignore them." Chase whispered.
"Right there." Marshall pointed.
They both saw Ella and Zuma asleep with their heads leaning onto each other.
Chase pulled out a pair of keys.
"Hey! Zuma and Ella!" Chase said getting their attention.
They snapped their heads up and both blushed. Chase opened the door and they both walked out. "Cmon." Chase said leading the three of them back.
"Are you okay? Do you feel dizzy?" Marshall questioned.
"I'm fine Marshall." Zuma chuckled.
"You guys can get a personal trip with Ryder, I'm going with Marshall." Chase said.
Zuma gulped looking at Ryders pickup truck.
"H-hey Wyder." Zuma nervously said.
"I'm not mad, But I don't think Ella should've been at the party." Ryder said looking at his rear view mirror. "I won't tell." He added
"You can sleep at our place, till your parents and tuck get back."
They both gave a huge sigh of relief to what seemed to be a close call."
"And November! Although nobody really talks about it. We had an uneventful thanksgiving. Which leads us to this month. The month of December. Almost January 1st." Ryder said taking a sip of water.
"I know the whole pandemic won't end instantly but at least there's a vaccine now. Christmas was quite a present surprise.
Everyone looked towards the TV as it got closer to the final 10 seconds and they all counted down.

"HAPPY NEW YEARS!"
Everyone cheered as their cursed year finally ended. Ella gave Zuma a big kiss revealing their relationship. Everest tried the same thing in Marshall and surprisingly it worked.
The pups ignored it and continued to cheer. They used party popper which made a mess but it was fine.
"Goodbye 2020 hello 2021!"
