Chapter 15

Skye took a deep breath, she sat in the living room waiting for the results to come in Natasha sitting close to her. They had the TV on but Skye couldn't think of anything but what has happened the last couple of days, everything was so confusing. She finally snapped out of her thoughts once Natasha's fingers came into her line of sight snapping.

"Sorry what?" she asked and Natasha watched her raising a brow.

"You okay, you were thinking pretty hard?" Skye just shook her head

"I just don't know how to feel about everything, the last couple of days have been completely messed up" Natasha's face frowned a little

"I am sorry, for everything," she said softly taking Skye's hand and Skye smiled a little.

"I didn't mean with you guys I am glad I got some part of my past back, honestly" Natasha just nodded, she was about to say something before Jemma and Bruce came in and Skye stood up immediately.

"Skye…" Jemma's voice shook, Bruce put a hand on her shoulder. Skye just looked at them, face going pale.

"He is a confirmed match, even with your DNA changing after your transformation." Bruce said gently, Skye just looked between them slowly sinking to the couch Natasha wrapped her arm around her shoulders.

"So, he wasn't lying" she finally asked looking at them both,

"No he was not" Jemma finally spoke and Skye just nodded.

"Thank you for running the tests" Skye looked at Natasha, she just nodded.

" We will give you some privacy with him" Natasha stood and ushered the scientist out letting Skye go to her real father.

Skye felt her heartbeat faster with every step she took trying to process this, Loki, The God of Mischief was her father. She almost ran into the door trapped in her thoughts before taking a breath and opening it to see Loki already standing and Ward watching her closely.

Natasha went to the control room where Steve and Bucky were talking with Tony. Bucky opened his mouth but Natasha raised her hand, silencing him.

"He is her father, tests proved it, and before you go rushing to her I told her she can have some time with him" Natasha sat down at the controls pulling up the screen to the holding containers watching closing. She felt, rather than heard, Bucky approach,

"You are just going to let her go into the cell with him?" a voice laced with anger, Natasha snapped her head to him.

"Yes, because she needs to talk to him. And Loki hasn't harmed her" she turned back around softly hearing Steve tell Bucky to trust her, Bucky just huffed and crossed his arms watching.

Skye felt her heartbeat quicken as her hand slowly unlocked Loki's cell.

"So, do you believe me now?" he asked softly, Skye just nodded her head pulling a chair up to sit.

"You must have a thousand questions" he continued but she just stared at him.

"Why?" was all she responded with he tilted his head at her.

"I told you why I had to leave you, I thought…" Skye shook her head though stopping him,

"Why are you telling me now, when everything already happened I was fine with leaving my parents in the past, thinking I had a dad who truly loved me. Now I find out that I am not even his, that he went through all the pain and I am not even his daughter?" She stood up and started pacing before she found Ward's mouth a little wide staring at her. Oh right, she clicked her tablet shutting him in darkness.

"Because I am trying to protect you, they can't protect you only I can from Thanos" Loki stood up at well stretching his arms wide.

"Why would I risk coming here otherwise, coming back when my brother thought I was dead" he started to get frustrated.

"I am sorry for what happened before and if I could change it I would, but the past is the past and I was distracted." Skyed laughed,

"You mean you were distracted by attacking a planet which you knew your own daughter was on, you were distracted by trying to gain power and destroying life on earth!" she almost screamed at him, he stalked toward her only a foot away.

"Do you really think I went to Thanos of all the creatures of the universe to win Earth, to rule Earth? I came for you because if Thanos' army was coming here either way why wouldn't I offer to lead it? Why wouldn't I come to the only place you were and try and spare you. I don't care about anyone else, I only cared about getting you out. Why can't you understand that!" his voice was deadly. She blinked the only surprise she would let herself show.

"Because why not just come by yourself and find me, you know who I was supposedly with. Why did you need an army? I think you're not telling the whole truth, I think you are hiding something. If that is the case then I don't want to see you, I don't want to talk to you, and I sure as hell don't need you in my life" she almost screamed back at him, he took a step back face carefully neutral.

"If you don't want me in your life say the word, but don't think for one second that doesn't mean I won't still protect you! You are my daughter!" she narrowed her eyes at him,

"Phil Coulsen is my father! I don't need you to fill a role that is already taken!" she knew that hurt him his face went pale with rage on it, but before he could reply Thor stomped in the room. Loki snarled at him, but Skye took the hint and walked out of the cell,

"Is that why he let you almost die twice! Why did he drop you into a cabin when you got your powers? Why did you run away from him when things got hard?" Loki shouted at her, Skye saw red and released her power, flinging Loki against the wall he just laid there laughing. Thor softly put a hand on her back guiding her out of the room. Thor paused at the door,

"If you truly care about her brother, then try to understand her instead of accusing her." Loki just glared at him but Thor just shook his head closing the door to follow Skye out.

Skye went straight down to the gym not even bothering to stop and wrap her hands before she went to the bag and started punching, right left, right left. Her arms started to burn but her anger only got worse the more she thought about his words. She knew she was crying when she tasted the salt of her own tears but she needed to get this out, she needed to hit something to get the edge off.

Everyone was in the common area when Thor finally came in, everyone's eyes went to him than behind him looking for her,

"I am guessing she hasn't come up yet," he said, after he walked out of the door he saw her storm off and decided to take his time before going to the others, he knew she needed time right now.

"I thought you were with her?" Bucky asked him and Thor shook his head,

"She needed some time to cool off" he walked over and poured himself a drink before looking at them all. Bucky started shaking then and Natasha put a hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down,

"I am going to go find her" he announced before Steve grabbed his arm shaking his head slightly

"You might want to calm down a little first Buck," he said softly and Bucky shook off his arm. Steve held up his hand

"I will go get her," Steve said finally giving Natasha a look as if to say 'keep him here' she just nodded moving Bucky toward the kitchen. Steve went to the elevator the AI Friday already knowing whom he sought and let him know she is in the gym. Steve laughed a little, she and Buck were so much alike.

When Steve walked into the gym he saw her in the corner with one of his bags, he was brought up short when he noticed her hands which were raw and some of her knuckles bleeding since she didn't wrap them he rushed over touching her shoulder slightly and noticed her eyes were red too she tensed up looking up at him.

"Skye" he started but wasn't sure what to say, instead he just wrapped her in a hug she hesitated but then gripped him tightly shaking as a sob escaped her, Steve just held her tighter.

"It's going to be okay Skye, you aren't alone" Steve whispered stroking her back softly, she just kept crying into his chest.

Hey guys sorry I haven't updated in you know like two years sorry sorry sorry. A lot has happened but I am finally getting to write again almost every day so I am trying to finish my stories and trying to keep my motivation and inspiration up and going so I hope you like this new chapter and I am hoping to post another one by Monday :) Thank you all for sticking with this story as well!
