Disclaimer: I don't own the Pokémon franchise; I have noticed that Ash has captured the Galarian Farfetch'd that has shocked me, but I am happy. Not only this, but Ash's friends from Alola (mainly Lana, Mallow, Sophocles, and Kiawe) would be making a reappearance later down the line, much like how Korrina from the Kalos region returned earlier on (with Ash's Riolu having met Korrina and her Lucario). Lance did, so did Professor Elm.
So, yes, I love the new Pokémon series, and I can't wait to see what's going to happen and what new Pokémon Ash will capture. It was also somewhat disappointing to see Ash without a female companion in a series for once, but it's still interesting to see them mix it up a little.
Yes, I know that I did say that Misty's parents left her and her sisters in canon. Still, it might've been either retconned or entirely forgotten about completely. After all, we have learned a lot from Pocket Monsters the Animation (which only got two volumes, and there's been no continuation of it since) did get contradicted with later events from the anime itself, so who knows. But I'm going to stick with my idea of Misty's parents being dead in many of my fanfiction stories, as I said at the end of the previous chapter.
Chapter 15: Family worries
"I see; thank you for letting me know."
Professor Oak frowned, having heard what had happened to Professor Cerise and his family, especially his children Chloe and Parker, because of the spreading virus. "What happened?" he heard Delia asking him as he turned towards Ash's mother, noticing the expression of concern on her face that's forming.
"It seems that Vermillion City has fallen victim to the virus," he informed Delia, knowing that everyone there was now either already hybrids or were becoming ones much faster than those who had become infected before them. Thinking this over, Oak knew that there was a high chance that even Lt. Surge was among the victims due to Lt. Surge's Gym was, after all, located there. "Sadly, the Cerise family is among those who have fell victim to it…, and I have a feeling it would also apply to Goh and his parents as well as to Lt. Surge, the Gym Leader of Vermillion City."
Hearing this made Delia frown when she heard Oak bringing it up, especially as she heard that Goh and his childhood friend Chloe, who just so happened to be Professor Cerise's daughter. Delia knew both attended the Pokémon Summer Camp that Ash missed by oversleeping and accidentally breaking his alarm clock. "Is that so?" she asked, lowering her head as Delia felt terrible for Goh, Chloe, and their respective families now being hybrids along with Lt. Surge and everyone else who resided in Vermillion City.
Oak nodded his head, all while still frowning. "Yes, Professor Kukui and my cousin Samson from the Alola region informed me about it not too long ago," Oak said before frowning as he looked at Delia and the fear she has on her face. Knowing that it would mean they needed to work faster to create a cure helping everyone before the effect could become permanent. "They said they'll do all they can to assist me and the other Professors, including Professor Magnolia of the Galar region and her granddaughter Sonia, to make the necessary cure."
Once Delia heard this, she gave a silent frown while she was grateful that Oak was getting more assistance than he did initially, but she still worried about her son and his friends. "You're still worried about Ash, aren't you?" he soon asked the brown-haired woman, and she slowly nodded her head to confirm. "I know how you feel, Delia; I am worried about him and the others, especially my grandson, Gary."
"I honestly don't know what I'm going to do if anything happened to my little boy… I mean, you know how worried I was when we learned about something happening at the Orange Islands from Professor Ivy."
The Professor of the Kanto region thought about it, remembering how Misty mentioned that by the time he, Delia, and Professor Ivy arrived, Ash had just saved the world despite her being angry at Ash. "How can I forget?" Oak asked, thinking that maybe this was another time Ash might save the world.
Delia didn't say a word, hoping her son is okay but was worried she still hadn't heard from him at all and was thinking the worst. "How is the progress on the cure?" she decided to ask.
"Still working on it, I'm afraid," he told her sadly. "Luckily, the assistance I have from Professor Ivy, Professor Elm, Professor Birch, Professor Rowan, Professor Kukui, Spencer, Samson, Professor Burnet, Professor Magnolia, and Sonia is helping to speed up the progress significantly."
"What about Professor Juniper, her father, and Professor Sycamore?"
He shook his head, knowing that there was something else to bring up. "I'm afraid they've succumbed to the infection as well, Delia," he informed his friend as he's aware it would greatly hinder the completion of the cure that's in the process, but they needed to continue if they're to get everything back to normal and soon.
It was then that Delia noticed an old drawing of Pikachu and another Pokémon, which she had never seen before. "What is that?" she wondered as she approached the picture in question, only for Oak to reach for it before she could further examine it.
"It's nothing, it's just something I got a long time ago…" he said to Ash's mother. Even his Rotom was curious about the picture in question, given how it appeared to be over 40 years old and wondered how Oak managed to get it.
Before anything else could be even further said, they heard the phone ringing, and Oak secretly sighed relief as he made his way to answer the case. "Hello?" he asked, wondering who was on the other end.
"Grandpa, it's me!"
"Oh, Gary, I'm glad you're okay," Oak replied to his grandson as he and Delia listened to hear about Ash or the others. "Did you manage to find Ash and his friends?"
"Well, yes… and no…" Gary responded to his grandfather, knowing that there was someone he found who was indeed familiar with Ash despite having encountered him a few times while back in the Sinnoh region. "I didn't find Ash or his friends… well, the ones he's traveling with, I should say. Still, I did find someone who Ash previously met in Sinnoh."
"Oh?"
Soon Zoey appeared next to Gary. "So, you're Professor Oak, my name's Zoey," she said, introducing herself to Oak and even to Delia, with both being surprised the first time they saw the red-haired girl from Snowpoint City. "I've heard about you from Ash, Brock, and Dawn."
"Is that right?" Oak asked of the girl with his grandson, although his expression turned grim as he then decided to ask the next thing. "I take it that you heard about what's been happening as of recently?"
Dawn's rival nodded her head slowly. "Sadly, yes, I'm just glad I managed to avoid getting infected… Dawn, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky…" she said with a frown on her face, knowing there was something she needed to tell the Professor from Pallet Town regarding the bluenette.
The news caused Oak to lower his head; he hoped this would not happen, but it did. "I see…" he said as he realized that if Dawn became infected, then who knows if the same thing happened to Ash and the others by now, which also worried Delia more than ever. "Now that I think about it, how exactly did you and my grandson Gary meet anyway?"
"Well, it's a long story," began Zoey, scratching the back of her head even though she did admit that Gary was a real cutie. Still, despite her having first initially been unaware of him being Professor Oak's grandson, but then again, Zoey was thankful to meet him. "In your case, I'll make an exception and tell you…"
Ash was shocked as he looked at both Cilan and Iris, and he wasn't sure what to say. "What am I going to do?" Ash thought, looking at his two friends with a frown.
Iris seeing Ash, soon giggled as she then looked at the green-haired girl with a smile before she looked at Cilan. "Well, it seems that Ash has arrived."
Looking at the two, Ash knew he had to think of something, or this girl would become infected like everyone else. "Iris, Cilan, you need to stop this," Ash said to the two, hoping to reach them somehow. "Maybe if I talk to them, their human minds could fight it, and they might come back," Ash thought with hope.
However, all Ash could see was the smiles they both had on their faces. "Oh Ash, we're happy you found us with maybe a mate for you as well," Iris said with a grin, now looking at the green-haired girl.
Mallow now sees the new hybrid, and, from what she could tell, it looked like a Lucario, but for Mallow, however, she could also recognize something was off about this hybrid. "But what is it? He's not acting like the others," Mallow thought, wanting to get away before getting infected.
"Wait; what?" Ash asked, frowning, still shocked as he looked at Iris, still surprised at what she had said before he looked at the girl.
Both Cilan and Iris soon took another step closer to Ash while also making sure that the new girl didn't try to run away, or her Pokémon didn't get in the way either.
Iris couldn't help but look at Ash, wondering why he didn't just take this girl since he was standing there, not moving at all. "Come on, Ash. What's the matter, don't you want to have a mate?" Iris asked as she looked at Ash and then to Mallow, who started to get more worried.
"No, please, I don't want to get infected!" Mallow cried out once again, but both Iris and Cilan didn't pay her any attention as they both looked at their old friend.
"Look, she wants to stay human, okay," Ash began, still hoping to reach the two, now frowning at the two as he took a careful step forward. "You both have to stop this. I mean, look at what's happened to you both."
The two Zoroark hybrids looked at each other before they frowned in anger. "You still have your human mind, don't you, Ash?" Iris asked as a scowl formed on her face.
"It seems like he has," another voice quickly spoke up as Ash and Mallow turned to who was speaking.
Ash looked at the Murkrow, who was only smiling at Ash. "I don't know why you are trying to fight this," he said, still smiling. "Can't you see how great that we have things now?"
Ash only scoffed at this, knowing that it's no point in hiding it now. "Yeah, because becoming hybrids is so fun. Look at what we have done; families are getting torn apart by this virus."
Iris, however, laughed as she moved closer to Cilan, and she hugged her lover. "No, Ash, it's helping us know who we want to be with," the Zoroark girl said as she soon started kissing Cilan before stopping and looking back at Ash. "You see, if I were still human, neither of us would have admitted how we felt."
The Murkrow hybrid was shocked, hearing the name as he looked at Ash with a smile. "Oh, so your Ash Ketchum," he said in surprise and was impressed before smiling. "But you already know my name as we've met once before. However, back then, you only gave your first name."
Ash did remember him from when he and Sherry found Dawn and recognizing the hybrid, and Ash began to worry. "No, if he knows I have my human mind, then that could mean..."
Ash didn't say a word as the hybrid calling himself Jack O Loonturn offered to shack his hand or his wing. "Oh, sorry, I don't have hands anymore."
Watching on, Mallow was shocked this hybrid still had his human mind; right now, she had so many questions on her mind. "Maybe I should try and run away while they are all talking," Mallow thought, as she slowly started to get back on her feet.
Bounsweet could also tell that this was the chance they needed as both could see a fight was going to start soon. 'Mallow, we need to get ready; I'm worried a fight might break out.'
Iris only looked at the two as she quickly grabbed Mallow by her hair and smiled at the girl. "Sorry, but that's something we can't let happen."
Mallow cried out in fear, worried that one wrong move would mean she would become infected, and soon tears began falling from her eyes; she didn't want this; she wanted to stay human. "Please..." Mallow cried, letting out a sob. "I want to stay human."
Hearing the fear from the girl, Jack smiled, moving closer to her. "There is nothing you need to fear," he told Mallow in a very calm and soothing tone. "Don't you see? The human race is slowly getting reborn. We are all becoming something better. Can't you see it?"
Ash only growled at this, but he had to remain calm. "No, I don't get it. All I know is that this virus has messed with our heads is missing with the ones that still think like normal people!" Ash yelled with anger in his voice.
Jack couldn't help but smile at this as he looked at Ash, knowing the girl he was with when they met. "Hmm, so does that mean that both Sherry and the other girl Dawn still have their human minds as well?" Jack asked, looking at Ash for any answer in the trainer's face. "Hmm, I see..." Jack said as he began shaking his head.
"No, they want to take my mates, lock them up," Ash thought, but soon realized what he was thinking and pushed the thoughts away. "Leave them alone; we all want to stay human, or at least go back to human."
Ash still remembered what that male Vaporeon wanted to do with Misty, which made him angry, even thinking about it. "Oh, you don't have to worry about him," Jack said, catching Ash's attention.
"What?" Ash asked, looking over to Jack, shocked by what the Murkrow hybrid had just said to him. "What are you saying?"
Jack, still having a smile on his face, looked at the two. "Well, I'm saying is that the one who was after Misty, who by the way is a nice pick for a mate," he said, and Jack saw the scowl forming on Ash's face. "Hey, don't worry, she's all yours. I'm just saying he is dead."
"Huh?"
"Didn't you know?" asked Jack as he approached Ash once again. "Misty already took care of him… although she and Anabel were both infected beforehand, but, in the end, she found a way to get her revenge by tricking him into thinking she was his and his alone."
The young man from Pallet Town was left shocked; he had been hoping that Misty wouldn't become infected, but now it had happened, and what shocked him even more, was that Anabel also suffered the same fate herself. "W-What?!" he asked, still at a loss of words.
"There's more," began Jack, feeling there was something he neglected to mention before, and it involved a few Pokémon that were separated from their trainers ever since the virus started spreading across the world. "Turns out the virus does have somewhat of an impact on Pokémon, making them want to give in to their desires and mate as demonstrated on a Pikachu, a Glaceon, and a Buneary."
"A Pikachu, a Glaceon, and a Buneary?" wondered Ash, taking what Jack just said in for a moment, but then it suddenly hit him. "Wait, you don't mean…"
Jack started grinning as he noticed the expression of realization forming on Ash's face. "Ah, I see that those are your Pokémon, huh?" he said, something that even surprised the likes of Bounsweet and her trainer Mallow almost immediately.
The green-haired girl looked at Ash specifically; although he was a hybrid, he still had her human mind, which was a relief to her as perhaps he could help her and Bounsweet out of the situation they were in the same with his friends Sherry and Dawn, whoever they were. In truth, she had to admit that Ash was cute despite what happened to him, and she bet he'd look even better in his actual appearance.
She soon shook her head, her cheeks flushing pink when she was now thinking about kissing him to thank him for helping her and Bounsweet. "Get a grip on yourself, girl. Now's not the time to be developing infatuation," she thought to herself. "Although I'd like to talk to him, provided he doesn't start acting like that woman from earlier did when she turned into a hybrid after telling Bounsweet and me to run."
Bounsweet turned to look at her human and noticed the blushing. 'Mallow?' she asked, getting the green-haired girl's attention and shaking her out of her thoughts about the hybrid helping her. 'Are you okay?'
"Yeah, I'm alright… so far, at least…"
The female Grass-Type from the Alola region knew something was up about her ever since Ash arrived as if she believed the male hybrid that appeared would be their knight in shining armor. "You're half right about that," Ash told Jack as the two females turned back towards the conversation. "Pikachu is my Pokémon, but the Glaceon and Buneary, they belong to my friends May and Dawn respectively."
In a way, he was honestly glad that Misty found them and not the Team Rocket trio who did so despite him wishing those three would come out to launch their usual plans to steal their Pokémon for once as he's going to need a good distraction to help the green-haired girl and her little Pokémon. "Oh, I see now, you know I have heard about a theory that you should be made aware of," said Jack as he had another grin on his face. "Have you ever been made aware that if a Pokémon you own falls in love with one owned by a female trainer… then there's a chance that the two trainers themselves could end up falling in love too?"
Ash scowled, although, at the same time, he remembered having heard it before from his friend Brock back when the two and Misty were heading for Saffron City, and before Ash's Butterfree met his mate, the Pink Butterfree, that fateful day. "Yeah, but what's your point?" he asked as he partly wondered if Glaceon and Buneary had a liking towards his Pikachu, which he never noticed before, whether it be in Kanto, Sinnoh, or Unova.
"What's my point?" Jack asked somewhat sarcastically as it seemed to him Ash still didn't get it, and he needed to be clear with what he's about to say next. "I'm saying that it's possible May's Glaceon and Dawn's Buneary both like your Pikachu, so if they become his mates, I wonder how it would affect you, May, and Dawn?"
Iris and Cilan both looked at the scene taking place, and it was too good to pass up, especially when they heard Dawn's name getting mentioned along with Buneary's. "You know that what he's saying is true," Ash soon listened to the voice in his head, which meant that his hybrid side was attempting to make him fully succumb to the infection, and he didn't want it to happen, least of all in this situation. "You see Ash if Pikachu, Glaceon, and Buneary can mate with each other? Then think about what you can do with Misty, May, Dawn, Serena, Sherry, Lillie, Anabel, and that green-haired girl as well?"
Once again, Ash heard the voice whispering to him, hoping he would let go and give in to his new life. "No, I won't give in!" Ash thought, closing his eyes.
Jack looked at Ash, seeing that he was losing the battle within. "You don't have to keep fighting it," Jack said, smiling while watching Ash before placing his wing on Ash's shoulder. "Oh, come on, think how much better things are going to be now."
Iris nodded with a smile hugging Cilan as she looked at Ash, knowing he had so many mates they wanted to be with him. "I mean, come on, Ash. Think about it, Ash, how many girls might love you? Thanks to this, you now have a chance to be with all of them."
"Iris, please come on; this isn't a joke," Ash cried out, knowing the way she was acting wasn't like her at all.
"Hmm, but I can smell it on you, Ash," Iris began sniffing the air and Ash's scent. "You've already mated with them, haven't you?"
Ash didn't say anything to Iris; after all, he knew that it's pointless hiding things from them now. "Yeah, and so what it's all thanks to the damn voices that Sherry, Dawn, and I keep hearing in our heads nothing more."
"Oh, I see," Jack said, surprised to discover this, knowing others with human minds heard the same thing. "Does this mean that the girls called Serena and May have already fallen then? Hmm, that's interesting."
"You see Ash, why fight this?" Cilan asked, looking at his friend. "After all, if you're now hearing that voice, it means you can't keep fighting it for long. Just let your human life go."
Jack and Iris also nodded while Mallow continued watching, not becoming so confused with what's going on before her. "You should join us, Ash. I mean, think about it, Ash, a better race is born now thanks to this virus."
"I won't. I'll keep on fighting that damn voice within my head and save my friends," Ash said before looking at Mallow; he still needed to save her from his two friends.
The two friends looked at Ash and then at the girl and smiled at each other. "Well, maybe then we should infect her, show you how good it is as she transforms."
"No, don't think about you two," Ash cried out, watching as they both moved, ready to infect Mallow and transform her into a hybrid. "You have to stop this. I won't let you change her!"
Iris frowned as she heard this looking at Ash and then at Cilan. "Listen, Ash, you won't stop us like it, or not this girl will become a hybrid, with or without you."
Cilan nodded, now holding onto Mallow tightly, making sure she couldn't get away, with Ash getting more worried, knowing this was becoming worse than he would have liked. "Iris is right, Ash. The human race is over," Cilan began looking at Mallow, seeing the tears in her eyes. "And that means all humans will become like us."
"Be they family friends or lovers, Ash," Iris added as she looked at Mallow before her gaze went back to Ash, her voice sounding cold. "Your mother, Misty's sisters, Dawn's family, even May's family. All of them will become hybrids, Ash, no matter how much you fight us."
Jack smiled, watching this feeling a fight was coming, and he wanted to see what Ash could do with his hybrid form. "Hmm, this is going to be so interesting to watch," Jack thought, looking around to make sure no one else got in the way.
"No, I won't let you do this. I won't let any of you hurt our family!" Ash cried out in anger, thinking about his mother, as he didn't want her to become a hybrid.
"Oh Ash," Iris said, smiling, now looking at the trainer from Pallet as Iris giggled before turning to Cilan. "We're not going to do it, but you and the family members will do so."
"Now, if you don't mind, we need to change this girl since you're not going to do it," Cilan said, frowning as he looked at Ash, wishing he could make his friend understand.
Iris smiled as she kissed her mate on the cheek, seeing Ash did not see sense. "We'll make him understand Cilan once we have changed her. We can capture him and lock him and the others up until their human minds are gone."
"Your right Iris," Cilan said, looking at Iris with a smile. "But like I said, for now, we need to change her. It makes me wonder what she will become if you infect her."
"Well, it is random when a female hybrid infects another female, I mean, it can be the same as the one that bites us, or it can be something different entirely," Iris answered with a giggle as she turned and gazed at Ash. "You ready to find out?"
Mallow could only watch, seeing the teeth of the girl Iris coming closer to her arm. "NO, PLEASE DON'T!" she screamed in pure fear and horror.
Ash watched in hysteria, knowing that there was no point anymore talking as neither Iris nor Cilan would listen to him. "Damn, they are too far gone to reach," Ash said, knowing he needed to fight them, knowing he needed to save the girl before him.
"I'm sorry, you two," Ash said with a whisper as he charged at the two, moving as fast as he could go. Once Ash reached them, he tackled Iris to the ground before looking to Cilan. "Sorry, Cilan, but this is something I can't let you do. I hope you understand."
Cilan watched Ash before he felt a sharp pain in the gut and looked down to see what had caused such a pain in his stomach. Cilan wasn't the only one surprised, as Jack watched on as well, seeing Cilan began to fail to the ground slowly.
"Impressive, I see that you can use Aura," Jack said, looking at the Aura Ash had used on Cilan, seeing what he had in his hand while Ash looked at Jack.
Then again, Mallow and Bounsweet were left speechless as they never thought Ash was capable of this as they thought Pikachu couldn't learn the Aura Sphere attack at all. "How did he do that?" she asked her Grass-Type even though she still had this strange feeling towards Ash, despite the young trainer being a hybrid. "It looks nothing like the Aura Sphere attack."
'I don't know; still, it's best if we don't stay,' suggested Bounsweet as there was a chance that Iris, Cilan, and Jack could come after them again, so they'd best leave just in case. 'Come on, Mallow!'
As they attempted to flee, Jack took notice of this and managed to block her path, and Iris joined in helping him, stopping their attempt to escape further. "Sorry, but you're not going anywhere," said the Murkrow hybrid, knowing that Ash wouldn't be able to stop all three of them as he's only able to take on one.
"That's right!" added Iris as she was looking forward to finishing what she tried to do, and this time there would be nothing to get in her way. "Now, be a good girl and remain still… it won't be so bad once you get used to the transformation."
It was then that Bounsweet attacked both Jack and Iris with the Magical Leaf attack, although the attack wasn't that effective on the former since he's part Flying-Type. 'Don't you touch Mallow!' she yelled at the two hybrids with a scowl on her face as she was ready to unleash another attack on them if only to keep Mallow safe.
"You honestly think that you're going to handle fighting a hybrid, let alone two of us?"
'I promised to protect Mallow, and I will, even if it kills me!' Bounsweet replied with a look of determination, even with the odds that are now getting stacked up against her. However, a part of her hoped that Ash would be okay and join her to keep the green-haired girl from Alola safe. 'I don't care if you two are hybrids. There's no way I'd let her become like you!'
Iris shook her head. "Then you're a fool… it looks like we're going to have to teach you the hard way what happens when you try to get in our way!" she said as she and Jack were preparing their attack, which made both Mallow and Bounsweet even more worried than ever.
Back at the cabin, Lucario suddenly senses something was wrong. "What's wrong, Lucario?" Sherry asked the deceased Fighting/Steel-type with a frown, which made both her and Dawn realize that whatever was going on meant it couldn't be that good.
"I don't know, but it seems that Ash is having some trouble rescuing the girl' he informed the two girls via his telepathy. 'Three hybrids are there right now as we speak.'
"Wait, is this true?"
"I can sense them too… and from the way, things are going. I fear they might succeed unless Ash gets some help fast," added Sir Aaron since this would hinder every chance of him training Ash, Sherry, and Dawn to keep their human minds significantly, which made the two female hybrids even more concerned. "Damn it, and it couldn't have happened at a worse possible time."
"And I thought the moments where Team Rocket showed up during said instances were bad enough," frowned Dawn as she knew that she and Sherry needed to head to where Ash was as quickly as they could. "How can things possibly get any worse?"
Suddenly they heard rustling nearby, and the four soon saw Anabel making her presence known, all while having a look of lust in her eyes at the sight of Sherry and Dawn. "Me and my big mouth," she said to herself, silently muttering a curse the moment this happened, which made her pray that there weren't other hybrids that found their location.
"Well, what do we have here?" asked Anabel as she began slowly approaching Sherry and Dawn, unaware of the presence of Sir Aaron and Lucario while doing so. "Two cuties for me to mate with must be my lucky day."
The two showed even more concern, though there weren't any other hybrids that accompanied Anabel; it didn't mean they should lower their guard even slightly. "What should we do, Sherry?" Dawn asked of the girl standing next to her.
"I don't know," Sherry replied, still having a frown as she looked out for any other hybrids who could've found them by sheer dumb luck. "Still, be ready for anything that could happen."
Dawn slowly nodded her head, turning back towards Anabel, worried by how Anabel was now looking at her and Sherry. "Your right, Sherry; who knows what she can do, so we better be careful."
"Yeah, this girl is now totally lost in her lust," Sherry said, looking at Anabel, as she didn't know that Ash was also in trouble.
"You know, I have a name by the name, the names Anabel," she introduced herself to her potential future mates and was curious to know more about them despite their expressions of distrust. "Oh, don't worry; there's nobody here with me, so that makes our time together even more special."
Although it made them somewhat relieved, they still had uneasiness in their bodies because there could be a chance that she might be lying about being alone. "I just hope Ash is going to be okay," Sherry said to the bluenette, wishing that they could head there and help him right now, but it'll have to wait.
"So do I…" added Dawn, debating whether or not to have Anabel stay in the cabin with them, May, Lillie, and Serena, or not given how it seemed she too was enjoying being a hybrid like their friends were. "I'm only praying that he hadn't succumbed to the infection by now."
"Yeah, I'm worried about him too…"
"Wait, you know, Ash!" Anabel cried with joy while Dawn and Serena looked to see the happy look forming on her face.
Sherry and Dawn then looked at each other before they looked back at Anabel. "Wait, no, you can't be the one that May was talking about," Dawn said, shocked, looking at the Espeon hybrid.
"So, then is Ash here then cuties, and that means May is here too!" Anabel cried for joy before licking her lips. "Hmm, I can't wait; we just need Misty now."
Ash, hearing what Iris said, stepped in front of her making sure that the Zoroark girl couldn't reach the girl. "Iris, I can't let you do that," Ash told her, still hoping not to fight her.
However, Iris then began frowning, hearing this with her attention, turning back to Ash, still remembering how he had hurt her mate. "Look, Ash, I don't want to fight, but I will, so just stay back, and you'll have a sexy mate."
With a smile on her face, Iris looked at Mallow with a toothy grin, ready to infect her. "Iris enough, you need to stop this!" Ash yelled towards the girl but noticed Iris was still not paying any attention.
However, Ash saw that nothing was working; no matter what he did, Iris would infect the poor girl, and he watched as Cilan got back to his feet. "Great Cilan in getting out. I was hoping he would have stayed down for longer," Ash thought, knowing he had to deal with three hybrids now.
"Argh, I have to say Ash, that hurt," Cilan said, rubbing his head looking at his friend before looking at Iris. "You know if I were still a human, that would have knocked me out."
Jack continued to look at Ash, he knew some people could use Aura, but he didn't know Ash is one of them is standing here. "It seems thanks to your rebirth, and you can use Aura better than you would as a human."
Ash knew Jack was right; he felt like he could use Aura better, but he couldn't let this distract him from what's going on right now. "Are you the one behind this?" Ash asked Jack frowning; maybe he did cause the virus that is slowly destroying the world, or perhaps he wasn't. Still, Ash needed to find out, at least.
Jack couldn't help but laugh as he looked at Ash shaking his head at what Ash was asking. "No, I didn't make this virus," Jack began, while still having that smile on his face, something Ash didn't care for right now.
"That means the one who did this might still be out there," Ash thought with fear growing inside, as he watched the three hybrids before him. "Okay, then, but I still can't let this happen, and since none of you will stop..." Ash began still hating this immensely. "I'll do what I can to stop you three."
The three only laughed at this as Iris and Cilan looked at each other. "Come on, Ash, we have you outnumbered here," Iris said, wondering why her friend wasn't seeing the benefits of becoming a hybrid.
Cilan seeing the look Iris had on her face, smiled at her as he hugged her. "Well, we can't force him, Iris," Cilan said, looking at Ash, knowing a fight was coming. And I think we will win in our battle Iris, my love."
Iris only giggled before she kissed Cilan intensely and then looked at Ash, a smirk forming on her face. "Oh yes, Cilan, we have embraced our new forms. Ash, however, hasn't, so I know we can win."
Without saying anything else, both Cilan and Iris charged directly at Ash, who was shocked at their speed. Ash was then knocked to the ground when the two hybrids tackled him to the ground.
Mallow was shocked at the speed that she witnessed with the two Zoroark hybrids; she then looked to Bounsweet. "We need to help him out, Bounsweet," Mallow said with a whisper, gazing at Jack.
'Mallow, we still need to watch out,' Bounsweet whispered, getting worried for her training. 'I don't want you to become infected after all, Mallow, so let's go.'
Mallow nodded at whatBounsweet, but her eyes looked at Ash. "I wonder what he looked like when he was human," Mallow asked with a smile.
'Come on, Mallow, I don't think now's the time to be thinking like that. Not with what's happening right now,' Bounsweet cried out to her training, shocked at what she was saying.
"Right, sorry, your right. We need to wait for the right moment to attack," Mallow whispered as she looked at Jack.
Ash was still struggling with Cilan and Iris holding him down as the former dragon trainer smiled at him. "Now, Ash, you're going to come with us," Iris said with glee in her voice. "You're also going to tell us where the others are so we can free their minds as well."
"No, I won't, Iris!" Ash cried out as he kicked Iris off, knocking her into a nearby tree. "I hope that didn't hurt her too much," Ash thought, but he still had to deal with Cilan.
Seeing what happened to Iris, Cilan growled in anger. "Stop fighting this already, Ash!" Cilan cried out, but Ash said nothing to his friend as he soon felt a punch to the face.
Cilan stumbled a little, looking at Ash, who was preparing another Aura attack on Cilan. "I guess we're doing this then, aren't we, Ash?" Cilan asked, frowning at his friend.
Ash said nothing as he looked at Cilan, knowing that they were right; both Iris and Cilan had more time to adjust with their bodies. "Yeah, we are; as I told you, Cilan, I won't let any of you infect that girl."
Cilan, hearing Ash saying this sighed as he got ready to attack Ash this time, intending to knock his friend out cold. Ash could sense this intent coming from Cilan and knew it was thanks to his Aura. "I just need to wait until he is close to me."
Cilan soon charged directly towards Ash, who was still holding the Aura Sphere. Deep down, Ash was hoping that this wouldn't hurt his friend too much.
Once Cilan had closed the distance, Ash closed his eyes, knowing why he needed to do this. With a swift movement, the Aura Sphere his Cilan in the chest, sending him flying back and crashing to the ground.
Seeing the nasty slash, he left on Cilan's chest Ash sighed, feeling awful over what he did. "Sorry, Cilan, but that's something I didn't want to do," Ash said, getting to his feet, before getting kicked in the face by an angered Iris. The kick sent Ash crashing into a tree.
Iris was now getting tired of Ash fighting this as she looked at her claws. "I'm getting tired of this Ash, so if you are not going to join us, then we might have to kill you, and after what you did to Cilan, well, I don't care right now."
"You're the one who started this by going after that girl Iris!" snapped Ash, starting to become reminded about when he and Iris had their brief falling out with one another. "Besides, it's not like I had a choice on the matter!"
"Oh, come on, really, Ash? Is that so? Says someone who lost the final round of Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup to Trip and the Unova League Quarter Finals to Cameron. I mean, come on, Cameron!"
Hearing those words indeed started angering Ash to no end. "You better take that back!" he yelled, which hadn't gone unnoticed by everyone present in the area.
"Why should I?!" snapped Iris, glaring at Ash even more than ever before. "You know it's the truth! In fact, for someone who wants to be a Pokémon Master, you're nothing but a terrible Pokémon Trainer!"
Hearing this pretty much led to an argument between Ash and Iris, which made Jack somewhat amused when he bore witness to it. "It seems those two are fighting like an old married couple…" he said to himself, all while shaking his head.
There was nothing but silence from Ash, feeling anger swelling through his entire body. "I dare you to say that one more time…" he said to the angry Zoroark girl.
"You heard me!" growled Iris, her hand starting to tighten into a fist the more she spoke. "You're a terrible trainer. At least I don't make so many mistakes, especially in the early going of our travels together in the Unova region!"
"IF I WAS A TERRIBLE TRAINER, THEN MY POKEMON WOULD'VE TURNED OUT MUCH WORSE!" Ash was starting to lose his temper more and more as he didn't like the fact that his friend was talking in a bad about him or about how he treated his Pokémon. "YOU, ON THE OTHER HAND, YOUR EXCADRILL INITIALLY STARTED DISOBEYING YOU THE MOMENT YOU LOST TO DRAYDEN BACK BEFORE EVEN MET IF I REMEMBER! SINCE THEN, YOU CONSTANTLY CALLED ME A KID EVEN THOUGH I DID MORE THAN YOU DID! IN FACT IRIS, I FEEL LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HOLDING ME BACK!"
The last remark led to Iris angrily slapping Ash across the face and leaving a red mark as a result. Seeing this made Mallow and Bounsweet horrified the moment they witnessed this scene. It soon caused an initially shocked Ash to be even angrier as he ultimately got ready to retaliate with an Aura Sphere. It hadn't gone unnoticed as Cilan was shocked at what happened to the girl he loved.
Jack, on the other hand, was rather curious about how things were going right now. "This is going to be interesting," he said to himself as the two former friends now started clashing against one another right before his very eyes.
Growlie started sniffing around, catching the attention of Jessie, James, and Meowth almost immediately. "What is it, Growlie?" the purple-haired member of Team Rocket asked of his faithful companion upon witnessing how he soon became hostile not long after getting the scent of something or even someone nearby.
'I don't know, but the scent feels awfully familiar to me…'
Hearing this made the Team Rocket trio surprised when he said that. "Wait, familiar?" Jessie asked as she started wondering how it could be the case unless it's someone whom Growlie knew or had encountered before. "Is it the twerp?'
The male Puppy Pokémon shook his head as it didn't smell like Ash or his Pikachu. 'No, whoever it was I smelled is not friendly,' he said, making the three even more worried than ever. 'Turns out they're not alone. There was another with them; it smelled like a Grass-Type.'
"A Grass-Type," began James, thinking this over sure Ash used a Grass-Type in regions before Kalos, but if it isn't him, then there's only be one other person he could think of, and it started making him cringe the more he thought about it. "You don't mean…"
Jessie and Meowth turned towards their purple-haired partner in crime, noticing the expression of fear forming on his face. "What's wrong, James?" wondered the red-headed female Team Rocket member, all while looking at how fearful he became ever since Growlie mentioned smelling a Grass-Type. "Wait a minute, are you trying to say that Growlie just smelled."
"Jessebelle…" he finished for her as he remembered his encounters with Jessebelle, something James didn't like. "Of all people, why did it have to be her?"
Jessie, Meowth, and Growlie all stayed silent, and they knew full well about how James ran away from home when he was younger. He didn't want to marry Jessebelle and the fact the latter two had to bring him back to his house when they initially thought his parents died. "Oh my, what do we have here?" they suddenly heard the woman's voice in question, and the four turned around in its direction.
"Oh my god…" James spoke, having hoped that Jessebelle was dealt with for good after what happened in the Sinnoh region, but that wasn't the case. Still, there's something about her that looked completely different than before. Jessebelle now looked like a humanoid version of her Vileplume and even had the blue skin and petals coming out from the top of her head.
"It's been a long time, hasn't it, James darling... You look just as handsome as ever."
"Well, apparently it hasn't been long enough," muttered James; even as a hybrid, she still found a way to make his skin crawl after all this time. James was now starting to understand how Ash and his friends must've been feeling whenever he, Jessie, and Meowth made their appearances to the group when they least expected it. "Listen, as much as we'd like to go through this reunion, but it's going to have to wait until we deal with an even bigger problem."
"Why wait, we have all the time in the world!" the now transformed Vileplume girl replied in her familiar southern belle accent from when she first met James during their younger days. "And besides, it's not so bad being like this, if you know what I mean?"
"Actually, we don't know what you mean!" snapped Jessie as she glared at Jessebelle. They already had enough problems trying to avoid becoming infected. Now this upstart was going to cause them some unnecessary trouble. Okay, sure, the three were usually the ones who should be making trouble, but there's a situation that even they didn't approve of one bit. "Now, unless you want to go through the same humiliation as the last two times we met, you better leave."
"Oh, on the contrary, I believe this time things are going to go my way!" Jessebelle told Jessie before turning her attention towards her husband to be. "And neither you nor that freaky Pokémon of yours is going to stop me either."
"Wanna bet?!" snapped Meowth, extending his claws the moment he was called a freak of a Pokémon, and Wobbuffet immediately popped out of his Poké Ball as he was ready for anything that Jessebelle threw at them. Yet, James' former fiancé started grinning at them and glaring with hatred at Jessie and James themselves, believing they would stop her with Growlie now joining the fray to assist Meowth and Wobbuffet with the battle soon to come.
James and Jessie didn't like hearing this, and they noticed the mad look in her eyes; this was a look that formed within Jessebelle's eyes. "Oh, please, there's nothing you have that can stop me. I will have you by my side James," Jessebelle told the two and their Pokémon.
The trio and their Pokémon knew that Jessebelle wanted to get James making him her mate. "Oh, why me!" James cried out, wanting and wishing this wouldn't have happened, but here she was still trying to get him.
Jessebelle giggled as she looked at James as the Vileplume hybrid took a step closer before Growlie fired a Flamethrower at Jessebelle's feet, warning her not to come closer. 'Don't think about it,' Growlie warned with a scowl.
Staring at Growlie with hatred in her eyes, Jessebelle scowled in anger at the fire-type Pokémon. "Once again, you get in my way," the Vileplume hybrid said with frustration in her voice. "But not this time. No, this time, my darling James will be mine!"
Hearing this from the crazy hybrid soon caused Jessie to frown at what Jessebelle said as both she and Meowth moved next to James. "Yeah, right, we're not going to let you, James!" Meowth said to Jessebelle, claws at the ready.
Jessie nodded, agreeing with what Meowth was saying, and they couldn't let Jessebelle infect James. Already Jessie was reaching to get her Pokémon to help them out. "Yeah, we're not going to let a hussy like you anywhere near James."
James was shocked hearing this, but he couldn't help but feel happy watching his friends standing by his side, making James smile. "Oh, Jessie Meowth, thank you so much."
The two couldn't help but smile as they looked at James before turning their attention back to Jessebelle. "Come on, Jimmy boy, we're all friends," Meowth said with a smirk. "And friends stick together, no matter what."
Jessebelle soon began laughing as the Team Rocket trio wondered why she was laughing. "Oh, you think that you will beat me?" she asked with a giggle. "I told you already. I will have my dear James."
Meanwhile, Ash was looking at Iris after the two yelled at each other with both Jack and Cilan watching this yelling match with the two friends. "Hmm, I'm getting worried now," Cilan said, frowning at the sight.
Jack couldn't but agree with Cilan on this before laughing a little, looking at his fellow hybrid. "They don't have a thing for each other, do they, Cilan?"
Cilan was surprised to hear this, as he looked at the two and smiled. "No, they've always been like this," Cilan said, knowing that he had nothing to worry about with the two. "I don't need to worry about it. Iris always had a feeling Ash was in love with Dawn or someone else."
"Well, still, they fight like a married couple," Jack said, smirking but looked at the human girl. "Still, I think we need to capture him and the others that still have their human minds."
Cilan nodded, knowing that they couldn't let hybrids that still had their human minds run free. "Then we better help Iris capture Ash, and then we'll infect this girl," Cilan said calmly, his attention turning to the girl.
Mallow looked at the two knowing full well that they had speed on their side and running would be pointless. "But I won't let them infect me," Mallow thought while trying to keep her frightened she felt from the two.
"Should one of us infect her then?" Cilan asked, looking to Jack, who was now thinking about it.
Mallow could see the Murkrow hybrid placing his wing under his chin beak. "We'll take her back with us. Maybe there we can find her a mate," Jack said, not showing much emotion in his voice.
Neither Mallow nor Bounsweet liked hearing this as the grass type was ready to fight still. 'No, I told before you that I'm not going to let you near Mallow!' Bounsweet yelled at the two, hearing an explosion close to them.
The three all looked to see what had happened and witnessed Iris was on the ground, knocked out, with Ash holding his arm that's currently bleeding.
Ash looked at Iris; he didn't like what he said to her and knew that it's her hybrid said wanting him to give in; Ash knew that he would bring her back to thinking like the other. "At least I hope I can," Ash thought with a worried frown.
However, even with Iris now taken care of, he still had to deal with Cilan and Jack, and with what Iris did to his arm, Ash wasn't sure he could win. "But I have to; I won't let more people become infected."
Jack seeing the injury that was on Ash's arm, laughed, shaking his head. "Now, Ash, you should think about this first. With the way that your arm is, I don't think you can beat the two of us in a fight, not in your condition."
Ash scoffed, hearing this knowing what the two wanted while still holding his arm as blood drops to the ground. "Yeah, well, Iris used Night Slash on me."
Jack and Cilan only nodded, seeing the pain Ash had. "See, and that's why I think you should give up; it's in your best interest," Jack began before taking a step towards Ash. "As I have already told you before, Ash. We don't have to fight."
"Yeah, you just want me to give up and let our animalistic mindset take over!" Ash cried out, as he had already let it happen with May and Serena, only for it to happen again.
"Oh come on, you liked it; just admit it," the voice whispered in Ash's head with a laugh. "I mean, I love mating with May, and now she will have our child."
Ash was shocked to hear this, but he kept his face the same while the voice laughed. "May's not the only ones either; after the sex we had, Serena Dawn Sherry, and even Lillie are all pregnant."
"And why is that a bad thing? How many mates do you have now?" Jack asked with a smile. "How many more will you get?"
"Oh, I can think of some more we could get. Angie would be another sexy mate we can have," The voice began to whisper to Ash. "I wonder how sexy she would look when she becomes a sexy hybrid."
Hearing this made Ash bite his lower lip again, starting to wish he had gotten his training from Sir Aaron and his Lucario when he had the chance as now there might not be enough time to do so if the voice was once again hell-bent on making him succumb to the infection. "Damn it," he silently muttered a curse the more he thought about the situation.
"Then there's that greenette you're trying to save to also take into account as well," it then went on, referring to Mallow as she was still in the area despite Ash's warnings to leave while she and Bounsweet were able to do so. "She's an absolute hottie herself, and she'll look even sexier as a hybrid."
Hearing the voice made Ash frown, even more so that Mallow and her the Pokémon with her hadn't fled from the area as the former was risking becoming a hybrid the longer she remained here. Although the voice did make a valid point about the green-haired girl in general, she honestly did look a hottie upon a further glance. "Wait, did I just think that?!" He mentally asked himself, wondering if he was about to lose all control over himself again.
"You did, and you want to mate with her too, even Misty and Anabel themselves. Who knows, you may even enjoy it. Maybe you could make them into mothers as well."
Ash didn't say a word, cursing the voice even more so; however, he failed to see a Night Slash from Cilan, which sent him crashing into a nearby tree. "That was for what you did to Iris," informed Cilan with a frown on his face, realizing this was getting them nowhere, so their only option was to defeat Ash so he couldn't get in their way any longer.
"Typical Ash, letting his guard down and leaving him wide open for an attack like that," said Iris while shaking her head with a frown on her face. "What a kid…"
Cilan nodded in agreement, both realizing their only chance of victory was to work together. "Indeed, what do you say we work as a team?" he suggested, which caused the Zoroark to give an evil smile the moment she heard that.
Not even giving a verbal response, Iris nodded, and the two came right towards Ash at the same time. "Oh no!" muttered Mallow in disbelief as both hybrids began overtaking the young man from Pallet Town, taking advantage of his recovering from the sneak attack earlier on. Iris proceeds to trip Ash with Cilan, kneeing him in the chest almost immediately, and then the beaten young man soon received another Night Slash, this time to the face. Jack watched from the sidelines as his fellow hybrids, their opponent being easily overpowered, with Ash clutching his face in pain, which reminded him of the times Meowth used his Scratch attack on him.
This one moment was all Mallow could take. "Bounsweet, use your Magical Leaf attack! Hurry!" she ordered, not wanting to allow the boy she was taking a liking toward being hurt even more, and Bounsweet complied despite some slight hesitation that caught Iris and Cilan by surprise, striking them where they stood.
It didn't take long before Ash saw the green-haired girl approaching him. "What are you doing?" he asked her as she was only risking her chances of staying human even more than ever by coming to his aid.
"Helping you, that's what! Come on, we better hurry before they come too!"
Ash and Mallow saw the two Zoroark Hybrids back up with a few cuts on their bodies from being struck by the Magical Leaf attack. "You don't know when to quit now, do you?" Iris asked the green-haired girl as it seems that she's starting to see that the girl they were planning to make into a hybrid was beginning to take a great interest in Ash if she was willing enough to help him. "As much as we'd like to infect you and get it finished and done with, you'd best move aside so we can finish our fight."
"No, I won't stand by and watch you gang up on someone like you!" snapped Mallow, glaring at Iris despite her initial fears from earlier, and Bounsweet stood between them and the two hybrids to keep the green-haired girl from being infected as there's still Jack present. "You couldn't handle a fair fight, so you decided to go this route? You're both cruel!"
"Cruel, are we?" asked Cilan as he didn't take too kindly to what Mallow called him and Iris, so it would be best to teach her a lesson she won't ever forget. Both her and that little Pokémon by her side, too since it's clear, they're starting to slowly become a thorn in their respective sides one they intended to end. "Then why don't we show you just how cruel we can truly be?"
Misty's eyes soon widened in disbelief as she heard something from far away from her location. "Huh?" she wondered, getting the attention of Pikachu, Glaceon, Buneary, and the other Pokémon that were currently with them at the nearby cave.
'What's wrong, Misty?'
"I don't know, but I think I might've heard Ash," Misty told Pikachu, recognizing the voice of the raven-haired young man from Pallet Town almost immediately. As he usually only made that sound of pain whenever the male mouse shocked him or when Meowth of Team Rocket scratched his face. "I think he needs our help."
The news made Pikachu and the Pokémon belonging to May and Dawn respectively all frown, they couldn't hear Ash from way out here, yet Misty could. 'How do you know it's even Ash?' wondered Buneary, glancing at the Tomboyish Mermaid as she saw the look of concern on her face. 'What if it was someone else who we have no idea about?'
Glaceon nodded her head, although she still wasn't able to get over the fact that she and Buneary kissed Pikachu as they hoped it wouldn't lead to anything else happening because of this damn virus. 'I mean, there is a chance the entire Pokémon world has been infected by now,' she added as they weren't sure what was out there ever since the hybrid whom Misty killed came after them.
"Look, I know it doesn't make any sense, but I heard Ash just now," explained Misty as she still looked worried, not knowing what was happening out there or where to look, but she needed to try and find him no matter what. "All I know is he's in trouble and needs our help."
All the Pokémon didn't say a word; they knew how stubborn Misty could be but never thought that part of Ash would start rubbing off on her. "I see that you're worried about Ash, aren't you?" she suddenly heard a voice that sounded remarkably similar to hers. "Are you that edger to meet with him and become his beloved mate after so long?"
"Huh?" asked Misty as she looked around to see where the voice came from, wondering if it was Jessie, James, and Meowth using the same plan they did back then, which worried her more than ever. "Okay, Team Rocket… I know you're here; come out now! It's not at all funny doing the same thing you did from way back when Ash, Brock, and I were heading for Cinnabar Island, you know!"
"Hmph, you honestly think it's those three idiots, do you? Especially since two of them are probably already hybrids by now and are enjoying it."
The moment Misty heard the voice again, she was starting to frown more and more. "Who are you?" she asked as she was beginning to doubt that it's Jessie, James, and Meowth up to their usual tricks of trying to steal their Pokémon, given the circumstances across the entire world.
"Isn't it obvious?" repeated the voice, all from within the back of Misty's mind, sounding somewhat hurt by the question. "Surely, you would recognize that I'm you… or at least, the superior side who enjoys being a hybrid."
"What do you mean?" wondered Misty with a scowl, having no idea what the voice was talking about, although it felt like something was affecting her mind, and she did all she could to fit it off.
"I'm saying that you're going to be enjoying being the hybrid you are right now, whether you like it or not. Then again, I know that you love your precious Ash and want to be by his side for old time's sake," the voice replied before it started giggling.
"It seems to me that you've been secretly using the thing about making him pay you back for what happened to it when you first met as actually nothing more than an excuse to be with him."
Misty was still shocked, hearing the voice within her mind, and she still wasn't all that. "Yeah, I think that you should leave. I might have become a hybrid, but I won't end up like the others."
However, even after Misty said this, she could hear her voice laughing at her. "Oh please," it scoffed and then laughed at Misty. "You think that you can fight this? Sorry, you can't; you'll give in Misty sooner or later. It's only a matter of time."
Pikachu and the others looked at Misty as she talked to herself, the three Pokémon having no idea what's even going on right now, as Pikachu moved closer to Misty, wanting to see what's happening. 'Misty, what's the matter?'
Glaceon watched as she moved with Pikachu getting worried, and she wanted to make sure Pikachu wasn't hurt. 'Pikachu, we better watch out,' Glaceon said with concern in her voice.
"Now I won't, so leave me alone," Misty said as she began holding her head while trying to block the voice.
"I'm in your head, Misty. I am you," the voice said in a soothing tone. "I know all of your desires, what you want who you love."
Misty then could hear the cries of someone in danger, and it sounded close to her. "No, stay away from me, please!" the girl around 16 cried as the four watched a snake-like hybrid chasing her.
"But Amanda, I love you. I just want us to be together once more," the Arbok hybrids hissed to the girl, quickly catching up to her.
Amanda cried as she looked at her former boyfriend with fear in her eyes as he used his long tail to trip her up before wrapping his body around her body. "No, Eric, please don't do it. Stop this, Eric. I don't want this!"
However, the Arbok hybrid smiled, using his snake-like tongue to wipe away his lover's tears. "Don't worry, my love. I am free from the cure that is being a stupid human. I know that once you have become reborn as I have, you shall love it."
Without saying another word and knowing he had to infect her, the Arbok hybrid soon bites down on the girl, who lets out a painful cry as the virus began to change her.
Misty watched getting to her feet as Pikachu stopped her. 'Misty, don't, we can't save her,' Pikachu said as Glaceon and Bunneary nodded.
Misty hated seeing this as she knew Pikachu was right. "You should watch the rebirth, Misty," the voice begins to whisper seductively in Misty's ear. "Watch and see why this is better for everyone."
Misty did what the voice within her head told her to do; she watched the girl transform into a hybrid. Misty could see the girl screaming out in pain as she began tearing off her human flesh as blood fell to the ground. The sight alone wanted to make Misty throw up, but what made it worse for Misty is hearing the unfortunate girl scream in agony at her transformation.
Misty also watched the male Arbok tearing her clothes off, leaving the girl naked as he slithered back, almost watching her transform with lust and joy before he began talking. "Oh, Amanda, you're already looking sexy," he said with a hiss.
"So, what's the point of me watching this, you stupid inner me?" Misty asked; she wasn't all that impressed, and she wanted to know she had to watch this girl becoming a hybrid.
"Keep watching, and you'll see."
The girl Amanda continued screaming in pain, but that all changed as Misty could hear the girl start laughing; Misty only looked from where she was hiding to listen to the poor girl continued to laugh. "What is going on? Why is she laughing?" Misty asked as fear now filling her body.
The laughter from the girl only went on as Misty heard it become more psychotic. "Oh, Eric…" began Amanda smiling and laughing as she slowly became more and more aroused upon looking at herself and then proceeded to jump onto the male Arbok, which made Misty's eyes widen in absolute shock when seeing this happen.
There was nothing but silence coming from Misty and the Pokémon present, with the Vaporeon hybrid frowning as she watched Eric and Amanda making out with one another. "My god…" she muttered in absolute disbelief that Amanda went from not wanting to become a hybrid to immediately enjoying her new look, which worried her.
"Now, do you see the beauty of being a hybrid?" she soon heard the voice speaking to her again, finding expression on her face being very priceless in her eyes. "It's a matter of time before you too succumb and accept your fate. After all, it's not so bad being like this."
Misty started holding her head; the more the voice spoke to her. "There's no sense in denying it. Besides, you would get to be with your precious Ash," it continued as it knew all about the Tomboyish Mermaid due to being part of her.
"Shut up!" she yelled, not wanting to hear the voice anymore, nor did she want to embrace being a hybrid when it's clear she had no idea where Ash was but knew full well that he's in trouble. "Just shut up!"
"What's wrong, can't take the truth?" the voice asked her in a somewhat sarcastic tone as it seemed to witness what happened earlier on, and even being told about her feelings towards Ash were indeed starting to have an impact on her. "A pity, if your parents were alive, then they would've agreed to the birth of a new world… one where everyone is happy."
As soon as she heard it mention her parents, she became angrier than ever. "How dare you bring them up?" Misty asked with an angry scowl that's forming on her face. The last thing Misty wanted was to hear was the voice mocking her parents like this.
"Oh, come on, I'm not trying to be mean if that's what you're thinking," it said in the back of her mind once more as it remained perfectly calm despite the way Misty was talking to her.
"Sure sounds that way to me."
"I heard that, you know!" the voice replied, not angry, just annoyed with the response given to it from Misty but knew this being a result of her still having her human mind due to being quite the strong-willed young woman. "Then again, you transforming into a Vaporeon Hybrid is fitting given how you love Water-Type Pokémon. At least it's better than being a doll and even better than Ash turning into a Pikachu."
The young woman frowned again, especially when reminded of when she and Brock were transformed into dolls by Sabrina at the Saffron Gym after Haunter disappeared on Ash the first time around and how the young man from Pallet Town got temporarily turned into a Pikachu by Lily's magic. "You are honestly going to bring that up too now?" she asked, hoping the voice would eventually go away.
"There is no need for you to use that tone at me," said the voice, once again unfazed as it felt like they were once again getting nowhere fast.
"Well, you started it by speaking to me last I checked," remarked Misty as it was clear she had enough of the voice's games since there's an even bigger situation at hand with it trying to make her exactly like the other hybrids. Misty kind of wished that Jessie, James, and Meowth would strike as dealing with them was becoming more of a blessing than the entire world becoming infected by the virus. "Now, do us both a favor and go away!"
"Very well, but it's not over… you will accept your fate sooner or later…"
Once she was confident that the voice in her head wasn't talking anymore, Misty gave a small sigh as it's clear she didn't hear things, and it honestly worried her. "Just when there wasn't enough to worry about," she said to herself, praying that she'd be able to continue fighting the urges that her newly transformed body has. At least long enough for Professor Oak and any of the other Professors across the world could manage to create a cure to get everyone infected back into their normal states.
"I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE!" the voice of the female Arbok cried out with the same psychotic laughter she had when transforming. "I CAN SMELL YOU!"
Misty looked back outside from the cave, hearing the two hybrids' laughter knowing they are coming in her direction. Misty looked at Pikachu and the other two Pokémon; right now, she needed to do something.
Pikachu was doing the same, looking over at both Glaceon and Buneary with concern, not wanting them to get hurt by the two Arbok hybrids. 'Misty, we might need to fight back,' Pikachu said, knowing they are getting closer.
Misty took a deep breath, still hearing the psychotic laughter from the poor girl who had transformed, knowing that she lost her mind. "Come on out and play with us, my dear," the Arbok girl called out with a giggle.
The male Arbok Eric nodded with glee in his voice, too; as they both moved closer to the cave, they could tell that Misty was hiding in right now. "I know Amanda, my love. I can smell her fear."
Misty covered her mouth, hearing the laughter coming from them both. "Please don't hide; it takes away from all the fun that we can have," the female Arbok said, laughing.
A/N and done, man, sorry that this chapter took longer than I wanted it to real-life got in the way; this ending was bugging me so much. I mean. I wanted to have a horror vibe within the ending part.
Now I hope that I ended up doing it right because this was something I have unquestionably gotten stuck on for weeks, but I got it done thanks to some help from Flenner's fanfics for the advice.
Now, as for what will happen with Anabel, well, she has found where the rest of Ash's lovers or mates are but no Ash.
