CHAPTER 7: THE START OF THE FIGHT.
(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)
As the unknown regions of Sodor, all the Sorcerer-Knights, along with Lux-Aurea and her family were awaiting for the arrival of Lux-Tenebris. Shockingly enough, the Allcroft family had devised a trap to lure Lux-Tenebris in, hoping to lower the number of her forces in one go, as the dark goddess would aim to retrieve an artifact that her sister kept hidden for many years. Now was the time to reveal it, and use its presence against it's owner. As then the sounds of marching were heard, everyone drew their weapons as Lux-Aurea readied hers.
"Well, this is certainly new." The dark goddess remarked. "You intended to set a trap for me, Aurea?"
"Not like there was any other way to lure you out, Tenebris." The goddess of light replied sternly. "After all, you took my daughters away from me, and made them into your own puppets."
"Ah.." Lux-Tenebris remarked. "But on the contrary, the aunt should be allowed to interact with their nieces if I'm not mistaken. Especially when the mother is a no-show."
"Only if they are allowed!" Lux-Aurea snapped back as she then charged at her sister.
"CLASH!" The sound shook the ground slightly as the two goddesses crossed swords.
Seeing that the battle had started, both Sorcerer-Knights, and the Shadowed-Soldiers too, crossed their blades, as Thomas crossed his with Lady's.
(POV: Thomas.)
As I clashed swords with Lady, I've noticed that the dark presence within her was stronger than the last time I've fought her.
"Dang!" I remarked within my thoughts. "Is Lux-Tenebris that determined to keep Lady as her pawn? If that's the case, then I MUST make my voice, memories, presence and love stronger than the goddess's hate. If I do that, only THEN I can reach her."
Knowing that it's not going to be a simple fight, I got ready to try to last in a long duel of stamina.
(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)
Meanwhile, as Thomas and Lady fought, Proteus and Strea were busy fighting. The former princess was only clashing blades with her younger brother, which made the prince very confused.
(POV: Proteus.)
"What is she doing?!" I asked within my thoughts. "Shouldn't she wish to slay me?"
As I thought and wondered about this more, Strea gave me my answer.
"Brother! Listen! Keep this ruse up, please! I don't want our aunt to know that I'm going to betray her. Not yet anyway."
"What?!"
"Yeah, I know. Shocking isn't it? But yet again, I doubt I can actually kill any of you since my darkness was just fueled by jealousy, and that I've still got that older sibling's love within me."
Taking this in, I couldn't help but smile slightly. Though she had tried to kill us in the past, I still felt some love for my sister since she was overtaken by that darkness.
"What should I do?"
"When I'm ready, I want you to deflect this powerful lightning bolt I'm charging up. It's just a matter of time before Thomas breaks through to Lady, and so at the moment where Aunt Tenebris attempts to stop them, we're going to act out and make it look like I'm trying to kill you, but in reality, we're wounding the one who put me in this dark mess."
"Ah! I see! Not a bad plan! Let's just hope Mother had overheard."
"I have, Proteus." Replied a familiar voice we both knew. "And Strea, I'm proud of you for being that sister when we need it most."
"Thanks, Mum. But please do let me and brother concentrate so I DON'T accidently kill him."
"Of course, my dear." Our Mother replied as Strea and I continued to clash our blades.
