Ch.5.5 (Ch.6 Sneak peek)
*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

"There're too many of them !" *A voice yelled over the radio*
"Fall back, fall back ! We can't hold it any longer ! AArrh" *A voice screamed before a loud *Thud* was heard*
Then suddenly, the dreaded sound of dozens of footsteps was heard over the radio. It got louder by the seconds and the remainders know that they are trapped. And with the enemies coming toward them, creeping in closer and closer, they desperately try everything to escape.
"Quick, into the hatch. Let's go before they catch up to us" *A voice yelled*
"One of us need to stay behind for it. Or else none of us could escape" *A voice calmly said*
"But, who will do it ?" *Another one asked*
"I will" *A voice loudly responded*
Everyone all turned to the person who replied, pain was shown on all of their eyes
"No ! You're not doing it ! I am not allowing it to happens"
"Do I have to yell it in your face, Elisabeth ? Take a look, do you see any better option ? The vault door's scanner is encoded with your eyes and the same for Georgie's. It takes the both of you to open the door and they know this ! They are trying their best to tract you both down for your bloody eyes. If you both failed to escaped we're fucked ! We're all fucked !"
*THUD*
"Well that's the plan !" *One of the pursuer yelled*
"Liam ! No !"
"Go ! I'll buy you some time" *He tries to dash to where his fallen partner lies, intending to grab his gun*
But he failed !
*Bang*
"Arghh !" *He screamed in pain as he's getting shot in the shoulder*
Elisabeth: "David !" *She shrieked in horror* "No !"
She was going to run toward him when she felt a hand holding her back by the shoulder, snagged her back from the trouble that was ahead of them
"Don't worry dearie, you're next ! We'll shoot you up alright, but not with bullets" *The group start laughing* "What ? I'm right !" *He chuckles*
David: "Run, Elisabeth" *He said through the pain* "Georgie ! Get them out of here" *He screamed* "Now !"
Elisabeth stood there frozen for several seconds before Georgie and the others dragged her away, tear falling down from their eyes like rivers.
"Get them boys !" *One of the pursuers yelled* "I'll gouaches their eyes out myself ! Each and every one of them if I have to" *Before he and some of the goons start running after them* "I want the taste of all those golds"
"I must buy the time" *A single train of thought running through his brain*
David: "Oh no you don't" *He swept his right leg and knocking off the shooter, causing the rest to stumbles along when they followed*
"Why you little…" *Bang* "…piece…" *Bang* "…of shit" *Bang* "On second thought. Get them alive ! They'll pay for this little fucker's doing !" *He yelled after he put 3 bullets in both of David's feet*
David: "Heh" *He gave him a small laugh in response through the pain* "Tough luck"
"Oh yeah, tough guy ? What you gonn'do to me, eh ?" *He spat on him* "Shit. That's what"
Some man come rushing back toward where they are having their little "conversation"…
"Sir, they're gone !" *… with the bad new*
"Yes !… Alps: 1, Phoenix dumbos: 0" *A pleasant though came to his head*
"Grrrr" *The leader loudly growled* "They couldn't have gone far !" *He yelled* "Destroy everything ! Find them !"
David: "Hah" *He chuckles*"You'll never could"
This triggered a rage for the leading man. Not only did he let the objective escaped, he's now getting mocked by a man lying face-down on the ground in front of all of this men
"That's it, you mother fucker" *He drag David up by his collar* "You're dead !" *Point his gun right at David's chest and fire*
*Bang*
Pain shot up to his brain as the bullet enters his chest cavity. It barely misses the heart but its fragments puncture a big hole in David's right lung, causing blood to pour into it and slowly suffocating him.
David: "Gah !" *He vomit out a chunk of blood*
"Not so tough now, eh ?" *He laughs* "C'mon fellas, we got some bitches to catch"
David: "You…" *He struggling said through the pain* "…idiot…"
"This is mother fucker is fucking annoying !" *He said before he kicked David's face*
"Die !" *He stomped on David's chest*
"Die !" *He stomped on David's stomach*

*Clank*
…guts ?*
"Dafuq ?" *He look down at where his foot is* "What is this... Shit !" *He jumped back…
David: "You should have gone for the hand !" *He pressed on the detonator's button that he has managed to pull from his pocket*

*Click*
As the final chapter of his life moments away from reaching its end and death's waiting to take his soul away from the mortal realm. He didn't feel any pains nor regrets…
He felt only…
Joy…
As all the good memories of his life came rushing back to his head one last time…
…of children cheering and laughing in the playground…
…of them getting excited as he's about to read a book to them…
…of their little smiles when they hugging him right before bed at night…
"Tu vas me manquer, les enfants" (I'll miss you, children) *He happily thought*
And he smiles…
