Chapter 7

It was the morning of the holiday and Peter had finally finished packing the many suitcases in the car which mostly belonged to Carla when Simon came hurtling down the stairs of the flat followed by Carla and Keeva.

"Can we go now!" Simon droned as Peter ruffled his hair

"Soon ok, it's only 2 o'clock it won't take long to get there so we don't need to be on the road for another hour," Peter explained making Simon huff

"Well we might as well set off now baby," Carla said to Peter shutting the flat door, "I mean we are packed. There's no harm, Si has already said bye to Leanne so there is no trouble."

"I suppose we could," Peter thought out loud

"Yes!" Simon celebrated, "so can we go now?"

"Come on then, get in," Peter smiled opening the door and watching Simon jump in

"Thanks baby," Carla whispered kissing Peter's cheek

"Why? Are you excited to go down them water slides?" Peter teased in between their kiss

"No but I couldn't be dealing with Simon asking for the next hour how long it is until we could go," Carla laughed slightly before breaking their kiss and placing Keeva in her car seat.

Once all in the car they began to drive along the cobbles, just as the car travelled past the rovers Michelle walked out.

"Stop!" Carla exclaimed unbuckling her seatbelt causing Simon to exhale in annoyance, "I need to see Chelle about something."

"When can we go," Si exclaimed

"Here Si," Carla replied pulling her purse out her bag and handing Simon 2 pound, "go and get some sweets from the Kabin."

"Ok," Simon sang jumping out the car and running off to the Kabin as well as Carla going over to Michelle leaving Peter and Keeva in the car and park at the factory.

"Thought you were off today Car?" Michelle asked

"Yeah we are but I was just checking on you after the other day"

"I'm fine we're kind of just getting used to the idea," Michelle explained, "What day do you get back?"

"On the 24th, why?" Carla asked

"Oh good!" Michelle smiled making Carla raise her eyebrows at the other women's excitement, "What time will you be back?"

"Probably about 12 cause Si needs to get back for school the next day," Carla explained before laughing, "but once again why?"

"Because I've got my 12 week scan that day and we are going to do the announcement," Michelle whispered as for no one to hear, "and I want you and Peter to be there so..."

"Well we will definitely be there, what time?"

"Well my scan is at 10am so we can do it for about 1," Michelle smiled

"Sounds great, you excited by any chance," Carla laughed

"More than," Michelle grinned

"You'll both be great!" Carla replied watching Simon get back in the car with a bag of sweets, "I'm gonna have to go Chelle, Simon's already moaning about time and all that."

"Well have fun, and make sure you and Peter have some time to yourselves you deserve it!" Michelle confirmed hugging Carla

"We will, it'll be great to spend time as a family and spend some time just me and Peter," Carla said watching Si run across the cobbles.

"Come on Carla! I wanna go please," Simon droned

"Come on then I'm coming," Carla laughed

"You take forever!" Simon exaggerated making Michelle laugh

"Her don't blame me it's Michelle keeping me talking," Carla smirked

"Whatever!" Michelle retorted as Peter pulled up next to them

"Si I sent you over to hurry Carla up not keep her talking," Peter laughed rolling down the window and Simon jumping in the car

"Oh I'm coming!" Carla rolled her eyes and got the car, "See ya Chelle!" Carla waved out the window

"Bye Car," Michelle smiled waving the family off.

A long 2 hours later the family had finally arrived at Centre parks much to Simon excitement. Peter opened the door to the large cabin they were staying in and watched Simon race from one part to another checking the full cabin out by the time both Carla and Peter had got the bags and got in with Keeva.

"So what do you think Si, good?" Carla asked grinning at the young boy's excitement

"Amazing," Simon exclaimed, "I love it thanks dad, thanks Carla."

"Well it'll be nice to spend time together for a bit," Peter smiled placing his arm around Carla shoulder and kissing her

"Gross!" Simon explained running off upstairs to the bedrooms making Carla and Peter chuckle

"So what do you want to do tonight?" Peter asked taking Keeva off Carla so she could take her jacket off.

"Sleep," Carla replied bluntly, "I'm knackered."

"Your tired!" Peter exclaimed laughing, "I'm the one who drove 2 and a half hours!"

"Yeah but I was entertaining Mrs over there. I'm gonna be singing twinkle twinkle little star in my sleep," Carla moaned throwing herself on the couch

"Yeah me and Si had to listen to it only way here," Peter muttered smirking before taking a seat next to Carla and letting her rest her head in his shoulder.

"Come here princess," Carla cooed watching her daughter yawn and lay her on her chest, "We really need to do some of her exercises with her tonight we didn't get to do them last night cause of the packing."

"I know, why don't you go and unpack while I do them with her," Peter suggested

"Uh," Carla groaned making Peter laugh slightly at his fiancée

"What's up?" Peter grinned playing with Carla's hair

"Can we just go out for tea and forget the bags until tomorrow. It is 5 and then we can come back do some exercises with Keeva and watch films with Si all night?" Carla questioned looking up at Peter

"Sounds good to me," Peter grinned before standing up and going to the bottom of the stairs, "Si come on we're going out for tea."

"Coming!" Simon called back speeding down the stairs minutes later.

After tea the family made their way back to the cabin. Simon walked through all the leaves throwing them in the sky every now and again as they made during their walk back. Once back at the cabin Simon jumped on the sofa and spread all the way across it.

"Oi Mr," Carla said catching Simon's attention, "Me and your dad need to sit on there as well."

"Can't you two sit in the floor and me and Keeva can have the sofa?" Simon smiled cheekily

"Yeah no," Carla laughed.

"Si why don't you go have a shower then we will have finished Keeva's exercises and we can watch films," Peter suggested, "and by the way when I say we will watch films I mean all of us sitting on the sofa." Peter laughed.

"Hm we'll see," Simon replied before running up the stairs

"Right come on then baby girl," Carla said picking Keeva up out of her pushchair and gently placing her on her stomach on a long, fluffy rug in the centre of the room.

Keeva lay on the the rug grabbing the soft carpet while stretching her neck to look up at at Carla who was waving around a pink bunny with one ear flapped down. The little girl slowly reached one of her arms out to grab the bunny before giving up and putting her arm back on the floor, letting the texture of the rug tickle her tiny palm.

"Nearly there weren't you gorgeous," Carla smiled at her daughter's cheeky grin.

"Your getting such a clever girl Keeva, Mummy and Dady are so proud of you," Peter said to the little girl sitting down next to where Carla was with a small rattle with a few felt pieces hanging of it.

Peter shook the rattle in front of Keeva causing her to stretch out quickly and grab the toy before letting her arm drop to the floor.

"Oh my god you clever little girl," Carla cheered as Peter picked her up and tickled her tummy gently causing Keeva to smile widely giggling very slightly.

By the time Simon had finished in the bathroom and was ready to watch a film with his family, Carla had changed Keeva into her pyjamas and was reading the little girl who was snuggled up in the crook of her arm a book while his dad was pouring popcorn into a large bowl.

"Hiya Si, you ready?" Peter asked turning round and passing the bowl of popcorn to his son.

"Yeah, can I choose the movie," Simon asked grinning at the large bowl of popcorn in his arms.

"Go on then I suppose so, just make sure it's something we all like," Peter said ruffling the boys hair as Simon walked to the sofa.

"Carla," Simon sang smiling sweetly as she closed the book she was reading Keeva.

"Yes?" Carla responded wondering what the young boy was about to ask.

"Can we watch Spider-Man? Please," Simon smiled sweetly as Carla laughed at Simon's attempts to convince her.

"Do we have to?" Carla asked tilting her head to the side, really not wanting to watch the film

"You won't have to go in the pool with me and get your hair wet, if we watch it," Simon reasoned causing Carla to laugh at his compromise.

"Fine go one then," Carla agreed as Peter came and sat down next to his family on the sofa.

"So what we watching?" Peter questioned

"Spider-Man!" Carla exclaimed with a sarcastic smile

"I never realised how much you liked Spider-Man baby," Peter teased

"Oh it's my favourite, didn't you know!" Carla replied sarcasm dripping in every word.

"Shush!" Simon exclaimed dripping his hand into the popcorn bowl sat on his lap, "It's starting."

Two hours had passed and the film had finally finished. Both Simon and Peter had made their way through the whole bowl of popcorn throughout the film as well as some of the chocolate milk they had bought earlier that day. Carla had feel asleep half way through the film with her hand draped over the arm and into her daughter's travel cot. Keeva was loosely holding one of her mother's finger while asleep.

"Did you enjoy it?" Peter asked as the credits rolled on the screen.

"Yep but to be honest I've seen it s' many times before," Simon said

"That doesn't surprise me," Peter laughed, "Why don't you go on up to bed, we've got a busy 2 weeks to look forward too."

"Ok," Simon answered jumping off the sofa.

"I'll be up to say goodnight in about 10 minutes," Peter called watching his son make his way up the stairs

Peter turned to his fiancée and daughter and smiled at the cute scene.

"Car, wake up baby," Peter whipped as not to startle her.

"Oh did I miss it," Carla yawned awakening from her sleep.

"Yeah, I bet your devastated," Peter laughed

"Definitely," Carla replied yawning again

"Why don't you take Keeva and go to bed I'll tidy everything up here," Peter suggested

"Are you sure?" Carla said standing up

"Yeah you go on love I won't be long," Peter replied picking up his sleeping daughter and passing her to Carla

"Ok, I love you."

"I love you too baby." Peter replied kissing Carla before watching her walk up the stairs.

Disclaimer: I'm so sorry for how long it's been I've have had no motivation at all but I'm backand going to try and update as much as possible. I really wanted to involve Keeva in this and how she is doing a bit more. Would anyone be interested in just a little one chapter on how Carla and Peter's holiday is, if so please let me know. Review and enjoy xx
