"We're devils and black sheep and really bad eggs." Elizabeth and Jack sang around the fire as Madelyn sat down on the ground, but sang along as well. "Drink up me 'earties yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho a pirate's life for me."

"I love this song! Really bad eggs!" Jack comment as then he fell on the ground. "Ooh. When I get the Pearl back, I'm gonna teach it to the whole crew, and we'll sing it all the time!"

Elizabeth sat down on the ground as well. "And you'll be positively the most fearsome pirate in the Spanish Main."

"Not just the Spanish Main, love." Jack explained, drunkenly. "The entire ocean. The entire world. Wherever we want to go, we'll go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails that's what a ship needs but what a ship is.. What the Black Pearl really is… Is freedom."

"It must be nice to have that freedom." Madelyn looked at Jack.

"Jack, it must be really terrible for you to be trapped on this island." Elizabeth leaned against Jack as Madelyn just sat next to them.

"Oh, yes." Jack said as then he put his arm around her shoulder. "But the company is infinitely better than last time, I think. The scenery has definitely improved."

"Mr. Sparrow, I'm not entirely sure that I've had enough rum to allow that kind of talk." Elizabeth comment to him as Madelyn rolled with her eyes.

"I know exactly what you mean, love." Jack told her as he curled his moustache.

"To freedom." Elizabeth toasted.

"To freedom." Madelyn toasted as well.

"To the Black Pearl." Jack also toasted as then he drank the bottle empty and lost his consciousness.

The next morning, Jack wakes up to the smell of smoke as then he quickly stood up and saw the island burning and runs to Elizabeth and Madelyn, who were burning mostly burning the rum. "No! Not good! Stop! Not good! What are you doing? You burned all the food, the shade! The rum!"

"Yes, the rum is gone." Elizabeth replied to him.

"Why is the rum gone?" Jack looked at the girls.

"One, because it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two, that signal is over a thousand feet high." Elizabeth explained it to him. "The entire Royal Navy is out looking for me and my sister, do you really think that there is even the slightest chance that they won't see it?"

"But why is the rum gone?" Jack blurted out.

"Oh, for havens sake." Madelyn snapped at him as Elizabeth turned around.

Then she sat down and looked at the horizon. "Just wait, Captain Sparrow. You give it one hour, maybe two, keep a weather eye out and then you will see white sails on that horizon."

Jack took out his pistol, pointing at Elizabeth, but Madelyn stepped for him and her sister. She glared angry at him as then he put it back and stalked off. Madelyn shook her head and followed after him, when she arrived by him by the other side of the island, she heard that he spoke in a high voice. "Must've been terrible for you to be trapped here, Jack . Must've been terrible for you." Jack turned around and shouted. "Well it bloody is now!" Then he saw that Madelyn had followed him.

She raised an eyebrow. "Very mature, Jack." She told him. "Very mature."

"What you want?" Jack asked her as he had noticed that she had called him by his first name and not by his last name.

"To tell you it wasn't all Elizabeth's plan, but also mine." Madelyn replied to him. "But tricking you to drink too much rum, wasn't mine idea at all." She sighed. "That's all my sister's part of the plan and I'm sorry for it." Then she noticed that the Dauntless was coming closer. "Oh."

Jack looked at the Dauntless as well. "There'll be no living with her after this."

"But we've got to save Will." Elizabeth argued with her father.

"No. You're safe now." Governor Swann told her. "We will return to Port Royal immediately, not go gallivanting after pirates!"

"Then we condemn him to death." Madelyn snapped a little at her father.

"The boy's fate is regrettable, but, then, so was his decision to engage in piracy." Governor Swann told her grimly as Madelyn looked angry at her father.

"To rescue me." Elizabeth snapped. "To prevent anything from happening to me."

"I helped him to rescue Elizabeth, father." Madelyn told her father. "Does that make me to engage in piracy?" She looked at her father, who wouldn't bring a word out.

Then Commodore Norrington told her. "Oh, I wouldn't be so optimistic, miss Swann. You actions are in fact questionable."

Madelyn was about the say something as then Jack interjected. "If I may be so bold as to inject my professional opinion. The Pearl was listing near to scuppers after the battle. It's very unlikely she'll be able to make good time. Think about it. The Black Pearl. The last real pirate threat in the Caribbean, mate. How can you pass that up?"

"By remembering that I serve others, Mr. Sparrow , not only myself." Commodore Norrington replied to him as then he turned and stride up the deck and towards the upper deck and the ship's wheel as Elizabeth stepped forwards.

"Commodore, I beg you, please do this." She begged him. "For me. As a wedding gift."

Governor Swann looked stunned. "Elizabeth. Are you accepting the Commodore's proposal?"

"I am." She replied while looking at Commodore Norrington.

"A wedding! I love weddings? drinks all around!" Jack comment as then he pulled his arms out. "I know. 'Clap him in irons', right?"

"Mr. Sparrow, you will accompany these fine men to the helm and provide us with the bearing to Isla de Muerta." Commodore Norrington looked at Jack. "You will then spend the rest of the voyage contemplating all possible meanings of the phrase 'silent as the grave.' Do I make myself clear?"

"Inescapably clear." Jack comment.
