SIXTEEN

Thursday morning

She doesn't know where she is when she wakes up. The bed she is sleeping in is lumpy, uncomfortable, and the room smells like oaky aftershave. She doesn't even look over to see who is snoring next to her. He doesn't matter.

She just hopes that she isn't too far away from the flat.

When she walks into the kitchen, there is no one else around, and she is grateful. No one to judge that she is still wearing the same clothes as last night. No one to notice the remaining makeup smudged across her face.

She notices a pot of coffee on the stove and pours herself a mug. It is hot, burning, but she knocks back the dark liquid, enjoying the sharp tastes that explodes in her mouth. She sees that someone threw up in the sink last night. She places the used mug on the side instead.

Lines of white powder remain on the dining table.

Luckily, it is only Seth that interrupts her solitude. He nods at her and she nods back.

"Hungover?"

"Very. Remind me not to drink a whole bottle of tequila next time."

"I'll try to remember." She grabs her jacket from the back of the chair. "See you later, Seth."

"See you next time, Bells."

Lighting the top of a cigarette, she walks into the biting London air.

Well, isn't this a very different Bella from the one we have seen!

Very excited to explore this new dynamic with you all - for those hating Edward, I think you're definitely going to enjoy :D
