Chapter 7

UPDATE: This chapter is longer than the other 6 chapters (by a few pages) so it took me longer to write. I plan on posting chapters once a month (maybe twice if I type up a shorter chapter). Because of Covid and school, my updates may be inconsistent for a while so bare with me. I also tried to space out my paragraphs a bit more, let me know if that helps with reading my fanfic!

This chapter was inspired by the fanfiction "Incinerate" by Kyuukakoinu, I LOVED that fanfic and you all should 100% check it out. I also recognize my mistake, Raven shouldn't be using Shoto's first name since they aren't close but I will let Raven use Shoto's first name while thinking just to keep a bit of consistency. That's all I have to say for now, Enjoy!

At 4:40pm I was outside of UA, and meeting up with Deku's group of friends again.

Deku, Shoto, Uraraka, Iida, Tsu and another girl I didn't recognize were walking together. I quickly ran up to meet up with them. "Deku! Guys!" I yelled as I caught up.

"Stone! Hey guys it's Stone" Deku announced loudly. He seemed really relaxed with us all.

"Hey Stone, I don't believe that I was able to properly introduce myself, I'm Momo" Momo was gorgeous. Her black hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her dazzling black eyes met mine. Her skin looked flawless and her school uniform looked sparkling clean.

"Hey uh, it's great to meet you," I said back. Momo smiled and took my hand. "Let's go, we're almost at Deku's house" Momo lightly pulled me forwards and I quickly joined the group and walked alongside them. Soon enough, we arrived at Deku's house. Well, it wasn't really a house. I was face to face with three large apartment buildings.

We all walked into the second building fairly quickly, trailing behind deku and walked over to the lone elevator in the corner of the room.

"Come on guys, the elevator ride is pretty short. I live on the 5th floor" Deku quickly ushered us inside of the small elevator. I ended up squished in between Shoto and Uraraka.

"Maybe we should've taken the stairs" Uraraka huffed out.

"Yes, that would've been a more...logical solution then this" Iida agreed.

"I-I'm so sorry, I thought that we could all fit!" Deku quickly pressed the 5th floor button and the elevator doors closed, trapping us all inside.

"Here, Stone lemme just…" Uraraka moved her shoulder so that my shoulder was in front of hers, and she moved backwards. I turned around to look at her and saw that she had more breathing space back there.

"Thanks, here Todoroki let me move over" I moved my shoulder behind his and angled my body against the left wall of the elevator.

"Thanks, I really hate skin to skin contact with other people," Shoto said. I could tell that he was still extremely uncomfortable with this situation. His dual colored eyes searched for a way to get away from everyone until the end of the ride.

When the elevator doors finally opened Shoto was the first one to leave. He practically fell out because of us all trying to get out at once.

"Let's take the stairs next time" Deku giggled as he walked in front of the group. We all followed him to his apartment. His apartment had the numbers "335" in big bold golden numbers right beside his door. We all watched him open his front door with a big grin on his face. As soon as the door opened we were all greeted with a smiling green haired lady. She had big green eyes like deku and an identically stunning smile.

"You all must be Izuku's friends! I'm so glad that he made so many, here come in! Oh and I'm Inko, you all can call me or Inko if you'd like" we all smiled back at her as we entered the spacious apartment.

On the right of me was a fully furnished kitchen that led into a small dining area. Right in front of the dinning area was a living room that was equipped with a TV and light blue couch. And behind all of that was a window that overlooked the entire city.

"Hey mom, we're all just Ganna hang out in my room," Deku announced. But had other plans.

"No no, you all probably haven't eaten since school ended. Do you all want something to eat? Don't worry about it I'll just make something, just wait on the couch" seemed nervous by us being there. She was sweating profusely and her hands were shaking a bit.

"Don't worry , we'll be alright. Please don't overwork yourself, we all ate an hour or two ago anyways. " Momo spoke up before anyone else could. She was graceful, sweet and had the kindest smile on her face. I heard that she came from money so she's probably used her sweet charm to get whatever she wanted. I wonder if she'll treat me differently when she finds out that I don't live in a huge house and sit on mountains of money. Even Deku's apartment looked nicer than mine.

"No, I insist! Please sit down and relax, I won't bother you all" ushered us to the living room couch, where Momo, Deku, Shoto and Uraraka all sat on the couch while Iida, Tsu and I sat on the floor.

"Well I guess that we should get started"

We all started taking out our notebooks and textbooks and threw our bags to the side as we started studying…

POV 3 - Shigaraki

"Fucking hell where is she?" Loose papers were smeared all over his desk, an empty mug of coffee was way too close to his keyboard and his computer screen was shining bright into his already tired, blood red eyes.

Tomura Shigaraki was looking for one woman, Inko Midoriya.

"I need her in order to get the information I want. I need her skills."

Coding and hacking is the one skill Tomura has been able to master. He doesn't have to touch the keys with all five of his fingers and he can stay hyper focused on his goal for days on end. He can scour multiple different servers faster than anyone. Plus, he can hack into just about anything.

"Back when he was still a child, Inko and her husband worked for Master, there was some sort of black mail agreement that resulted in her extracting very important information out of useless people."

"And I have a very useless person on my hands." He grumbled.

This is all Tomura knows about her. Other than his extensive knowledge about her "skills", he has no idea what she's like or if she'll be easy to capture. So, to make sure that he has all of his information in his head at all times, he'll mutter everything he knows out loud periodically.

"Inko..Midoko...Mimi...I've tried every damn stupid fake name that has ever existed!" He groaned. "How hard is it to find a middle aged woman who used to work with The League of Villains?"

Tomura let his keyboard type random names in hope that he'd find her. He just needed the right name to use to hack into the housing and apartment systems to find her.

He's had multiple people watch her every move for months but they all mysteriously lose her.

"I don't want to have to send more people to come stalk you. It's extremely frustrating to have to disintegrate useless extras on the daily."

"She likes All Might right? Allko, Allinko...Miko-"

DING!

He found her.

She had gained a little weight since he last saw her and her hair looked duller then he remembered but there she was, Inko Midoriya. Tomura grinned and immediately started furiously typing. "Now all I need to do is run this fake name through nearby apartment buildings and housing districts and…"

DING! DING! DING!

"I found her! Living in apartment 335 with... her son? Her and that trashy husband had a son?" Tomura was surprised, he had no idea that she had gotten pregnant, or would ever do so.

"Well 'Miko', I think I've found a reason for you to come back" Izuku Midoriya, age 15 with the same green eyes as his mother. He's pretty short, has freckles like his father and goes to…"woah woah woah…this is that same green haired brat from before?"

He was reminded of the kid who tried to murder him when him when a bunch of low life villains stormed UA. His one punch would have blown his head clean off his body. In Tomura's mind, to think that THAT is her son is astounding.

"Mm and if I take a little peek into these security cameras…" Tomura's fast and intense typing could probably be heard from all corners of the secret base but he didn't care. Tomura had found someone who could unlock countless answers.

With her talent, of course.

"Aha! Here's one that looks directly into her room." he zoomed into her room to be greeted by her...cooking? There were students there that he vaguely recognized. Shoto Todorki. Broccoli haired brat. Fast Car boy and… "holy fuck"

Auni.

Auni was there.

Tomura had given up on finding Auni for years now. He had combed through school records, city records and security cameras to see if he could find her. He spent countless hours hunched over his computer looking for even a strand of her hair to blow by. But he never did, until now.

She's right in front of his face.

She's just laughing and studying with a bunch of kids her age, with a dangerous woman just a few feet away from her.

"Master, HOLY FUCK I NEED TO CALL MASTER!" Tomura grabbed his second "computer" and opened it. It was his only way to reach Master without other villains being able to listen to their conversation and/or heroes trying to pinpoint their location. The device looked like a computer but it only called and received phone calls.

Master picked up quickly. Tomura didn't usually call him unless he had villainous plans.

"Tomura, what is it?"

"AUNI- uhm erm, I mean I found Auni"

"Your childhood buddy?"

"Yes, Master"

" Perfect. You need to capture her. If she slips out of our grasps we won't be able to find her again. Focus on Inko first then bring Auni home at a different time."

"Will you turn her into a Nomu?"

"I might use her quirk to create a Nomu, but my goal remains the same; to create a perfect little corrupt hero with both your quirk and hers."

"To destroy the hero's from the inside? But we don't have years to raise a hero like that, how would we do it?"

"Relax, all we need is a body, which I have. I'll use my quirk to make it work, just focus on the plan. I know how you are, think this through! Inko THEN Raven"

"But-"

"Tomura."

"All right, Master"

He closed the "computer" feeling defeated, but happy that he had found his best friend again. She had matured since he last saw her, she still keeps her left side hidden. Her hair had grown out and quite honestly, she looked beautiful. Her purple eyes are still recognizable and stand out significantly to him.

He smiled to himself at the thought that they could be reunited, and that Master's plan can finally begin.

"All in due time Auni...I'll watch you, find, you and bring you home"

For the first time in a while, Tomura Shigaraki was excited. He was going to get the information he wanted, and zone in on his best friend.

POV 1 - Raven

-after 2 hours and multiple bowls of Soba and Tempura-

"Wow Deku, your mom is great at cooking" I piped up. By this time we had gone through most of our classes and reviewed notes and was in her room sleeping.

"Are you guys tired? I was thinking that we should set up our blankets in here" Deku was slouched over the couch in a food haze. I smiled at the sleepy eye'd Deku in front of me.

"You're just full, we should all do something fun before bed!" Uraraka announced. She stood up quickly and looked around the room for support.

"Like what? Taking a walk?" Shoto was unimpressed with Uraraka's idea and quite frankly, seemed un-amused with being here at all. He's been pretty quiet all day and only talked when he was helping others. He constantly sported a "please, don't talk to me" look on his face.

"Taking a walk is great exercise, there is still a bit of sunlight outside so if we do go walking, it'll have to be cut short. Walking around at night isn't safe." Iida said matter-a-factly.

"I'd love to go walking with you all, as long as Deku is alright with it" we all turned to laugh at Deku who was struggling to stay awake.

"I'm alright guys, let's go on a walk. Plus Ultra am I right?" He did not sound convincing at all, but to solidify his point he stood up and started putting on his shoes.

"Uhm, I don't know about this…" I said honestly. Walking around this late was something I had never done before. What if it got dark out before we made it home? What if someone decides to take me back to Tomura? I probably have a bounty on my head.

"Don't worry Stone. If we end up stuck outside late at night, ribbit, we can use iida to get back to the apartment in no time" I smiled at Tsu and her words of encouragement.

"All right, let's do this"

We all took the stairs this time. It was much more comfortable than being squished beside everyone in a small elevator.

As soon as the front door opened, I couldn't help but take in a deep breath of the cool, fresh air. The sky was a beautiful ombre of orange, purple and blue. The sun was slowly setting behind the great towers of Musutafu casting an orange glow between the buildings. The cold air filled my lungs as me and the rest of the group started to walk around the building.

"What do you all plan on doing once you graduate from UA? I'm going to become a hero and take care of my family in Nara. My mother was born there and I'd love to join the many hero agencies over there!" Uraraka beamed as she talked about her future, I wish I could join her. I joined UA because of the protection and skills I could learn there, not because I want to become a hero.

"I want to be the #1 top hero in Japan, and take care of everyone!"

"I'll work at my father's hero agency and become the #1 pro hero"

"I'm going back to Tokyo to become Ingenium…" For some reason, Iida sounded different. Like the word "Ingenium" was forbidden. He practically whispered it.

"I don't know, but I do plan on becoming a hero! I might work in disaster filled areas and provide support. I can create first aid equipment, blankets and other various things."

"I'll join Momo in the disaster filled areas, mostly flooded areas, Ribbit! There was a huge Tsunami back in 2011 that left so much destruction, my quirk would be perfect in that situation and future ones!"

It was my turn to speak, but I had no idea what to say. But from hearing everyone else's dreams, it made me want to think more about my own future.

"I uhm, I just want to help people in need. My quirk can help in rescue situations so i'll probably end up staying in this city and helping Todorki and Deku. I also want to stay in the city because most villain attacks leave a lot of destruction and tons of buildings and citizens usually end up in the crossfire." I answered honestly. Once it came out of my mouth it just felt...right. Like this is what I should do with my life.

"Hey guys it's getting late, we should-"

BANG! BOOM!

All of our heads whipped to the side to see Deku's apartment up in flames.

"MOM!" Deku screamed as he flew past all of us into his burning apartment building.

"DEKU- YOU GUYS STAY HERE I'M GOING AFTER HIM!" Shoto declared. I knew that something as big as this could have something to do with Shigaraki, so I bravely shouted "I'M COMING TO" and ran after Deku. Shoto and Iida tried to stop me but I just ran into the consuming flames.

"It looks like someone used their quirk to create explosions and someone else lit the fires" I coughed out. I could see splatters of gasoline everywhere.

"They probably did that so that the firefighters could come here instead of the regular heroes. I'm going to text Endeavor, I'll be right behind you!" Shoto followed me as I ran up the stairs. I could faintly see Deku's green hair as he sailed the stairs in no time. By the time we were at his apartment, Deku was already inside. His door was gone and replaced with a huge hole.

And the beautiful window that overlooked the city was instead shattered to pieces.

Whoever did this wanted to make a scene.

I rushed in to search for Deku. The whole building was starting to catch and if we don't get out of here soon we'll all end up trapped inside.

"DEKU! DEKU COME OUT PLEASE!" Me and Shoto shouted. Our voices just mixed in with the countless other screams echoing throughout the building. Despite this it didn't take us long to find Deku in his mother's room, frozen in place.

In blood it read, "If you want Inko back, you'll give me Auni. You have two weeks -LOV" I heard Shoto's phone snap a picture from behind me, but I was stunned. "LOV"stands for League of Villains. What does the kind hearted have anything to do with them? And why is my old name there too?

"T-Tomura-"

"You guys, we need to get out of here- SHIT" I turned around to see Deku's apartment being consumed by the flames around us. Shoto's shirt had caught on fire while he was taking the picture, causing him to curse and quickly put out the flames.

"DEKU! DEKU COME ON!" I grabbed him and spun him around. He had tears streaming down his face and was practically sobbing. He looked l

I was fueled by adrenaline.

I grabbed him and Shoto and walked towards the doors which were covered in flames.

"Shoto-"

"If I try to freeze anything, it'll probably melt into the wall. And considering how damaged the bottom floor of the building is by now, trying to get down there would be suicide" Shoto coughed out.

"Stone, use your quirk to send me and Deku out of the window and onto the street" Shoto's eye's were watering at this point and the smoke was being inhaled by all of us.

"But-"

"I can't see properly, if I try to use my ice It'll be inefficient. We could all end up falling to our deaths. And, if you haven't noticed, half of the building is on FIRE and I don't see a single pro hero out there. We need to get out NOW." I was momentarily shocked by Shoto's yelling but I quickly recovered. I nodded to him and tried my best not to choke on my own fear.

I knew that I needed to do this. Shoto could only regulate his body temperature so much and my eyes were starting to water too.

I grabbed Shoto's shoulders and brought him towards the gaping whole in the window.

"Ok, ok I've got this." I said to myself. "Shoto, if anything goes wrong please use your ice" I yelled as I steadied my breathing. I then activated my quirk and picked him up from the ground. My arms trembled as I brought his now floating body outside of the window, with the ground so far away from him.

"OK I'M BRING YOU DOWN!" I shouted. I slowly started to bring Shoto down to the ground. The heat from the apartment tickled my back as Shoto came closer and closer to the ground. I started to see Pro Heros running and flying towards the building and a group of students waiting down below.

In a few minutes, shoto was on the ground and I was shaking. I brought Shoto to the ground without killing him or dropping him.

The flames were getting closer and burning everything that they touched.

I grabbed Deku and brought him towards the window.

"M-My mom…"

"She's probably alright, hopefully. But you need to get out of here before you get burned alive. Your mom would want you to live!" Deku wasn't budging. "Look there's All Might, he's waiting for you down below!" At All Might's name, Deku turned around to scan the crowd. I then activated my quirk and shoved him outside of the apartment.

"W-WHAT?!"

"I'M SORRY, I HAD A FEELING YOU WOULDN'T HAVE MOVED OTHERWISE" I started to bring him down wards until a piece of the ceiling broke and fell into the middle of the room. At this point Pro Heros were all over the scene and some were rushing to get to me and Deku. My shaking hands stayed outwards in front of me as I focused on Deku.

I ignored the flames. I ignored the pain. I ignored my nervousness. I ignored the smoke poisoning my lungs.

I brought Deku down, inch by inch, minute by minute. It took a little longer for Deku to be brought back down then Shoto but alas he made it down without a scratch. Now it was my turn-

More pieces of the ceiling started to fall and my brain felt fuzzy. I knew at that point that my lungs were full of smoke and that if I stayed in here I would've passed out. The stress of it all severely clouded my judgement and I became...reckless.

I was going to make MYSELF float.

I hugged my own body and activated my quirk. The first time, nothing happened. The second and third time gave me the same results. The fourth time, however, I floated! I floated in midair and slowly brought myself down towards the ground. I could hear someone yelling my name as I focused, bringing myself down closer and closer to the ground. The wind whipped through my hair, stinging my eyes as the trees, the road and the people below me started to blur. In a few minutes the ground below me started to sway and before I knew it, I let my eyes flutter close.

And then I was falling…

-10 minutes later-

I felt an oxygen mask on my face, and I was in a moving vehicle.

"Stone? Stone are you alright…" I could tell that it was Shoto's voice but it was so far away.

I drifted off again…

-another 40 minutes later-

I opened my eyes slowly at first. The room I was in was very bright. When I opened my eyes fully I could see that I was in a hospital bed.

"My left side-" I gasped, worried that it was exposed but it was completely bandaged up and covered by a hospital gown. I waved my head around wildly to try and see if anyone was in the room with me. I sighed as I searched the corners of the room. Just when I thought I was alone, he stepped out of the shadows.

"You're awake?" His black hair that normally fell in uneven curls around his face was slicked back into a tight ponytail. The scar under his eye was on full display. He was wearing a plain white button up and instead of baggy pants, he was wearing professional black dress pants. He looked...professional. He rubbed his neck as he approached me.

"I don't know if you remember me but back when you were younger I rescued you from One For All. You were a screaming obnoxious mess at the beginning. I was tasked with specifically watching you from the shadows and never getting close, that's why you ended up in my class." sat down on my hospital bed beside me, staring intensely into my eyes.

"And I'm going to continue to protect you. This is just one of many of Shigaraki's attacks. I don't know what Midoriya's mother has to do with them but I'm sure it isn't good." I sighed and listened to talk to me. His voice was strangely soothing.

"Endeavor remembers you and I've filled him in on any and all relevant information about you. You will be staying in his house and he'll protect you for the next week. He'll also teach you combat training and fake rescue missions from inside of his house. You will not be leaving his house for any reason. Todoroki has not been informed yet, that's why i'm here." He sighed, his red, tired eyes looking slightly concerned for me.

"Do you want him to know?"

"What?"

"Do you want Todoroki to know about your second quirk and your involvement with the L.O.V?" I thought about it for a little bit. I didn't want Shoto to know about my past at all. Quite frankly, I didn't want anyone to know. But there is a good possibility that I'll be training with Shoto, and learning how to use both of my quirks is really important, I might end up in a position where I'll have to.

"You guys can tell him about my second quirk, but not my past! He'd most definitely not trust me or want anything to do with me if he knew. Believe it or not I want the students to like me, you know? They all seem so nice...they are so much more different then Tomura. I don't want to ruin that"

"Alright, i'll bring him into the room and we can all talk about your second quirk together. For now, you need to rest. You exhausted yourself by bringing Todoroki and Midoriya down from the building and ended up inhaling a lot of smoke. When you fell Midoriya thankfully caught you before you hit the ground, so you don't have any bone damage. Despite all of that you'll probably stay the night in here. There will be pro heroes stationed outside of your room at all times, and your phone is on the nightstand."

got up to leave the room but before he left he turned to me and said, "what you did was extremely idiotic, reckless and dangerous. Running into that building and then trying to escape through a window on the 5th floor is insane. But, I can see that our training has paid off and as a real hero, you'd probably end up being in situations like this all the time. You did good."

I laid there, wide eyed at this praise. "T-Thank you ". He quickly left the room as I sat there gasping like a fish out of water.

"Eraserhead just...praised me!" I whisper/yelled to myself. I grabbed my phone off of my nightstand to see 5 miss calls from my father.

"I hope he's ok...he's going to be so excited when I tell him what said" I quickly dialed my father's number and listened to my phone ring for 5 seconds.

"Raven?"

"Yes dad?"

"Oh my- thank Kami! You're alright!"
