Welcome back. Sorry if this took awhile, I haven't been doing well and at the same time, I wanted to finish another story that I was writing. Thank you for your patience and for reading. With that said, let's continue on.

Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia or any of the characters.

Kyoka was in her bed, angrily glaring up at the ceiling as she tried to keep her composure.

"It's night, shouldn't people be sleeping?!" Kyoka thought.

Despite her room being soundproof, her quirk was able to overcome that little detail.

Even with headphones on, with her music at full volume, she was still able to hear everyone.

It was the middle of the night, but the noises coming from the different rooms were trying to convince Kyoka otherwise.

Admittedly, she could understand why Tokoyami was still awake, since he needed to keep his quirk under control, but the combination of all the different sounds had become unpleasant and somewhat painful to Kyoka's ears.

From Bakugo's angry shouting in his sleep, to Mina and Toru talking to their friends on the phone, laughing as loudly as they possibly could while doing so, to the sound of Kaminari's radio which he would leave on all night at full volume, to Sero's snoring and to whatever Mineta was doing.

Kyoka shivered in disgust, as she didn't even want to know what Mineta was up to.

Wanting to avoid any further annoyance, Kyoka groaned in defeat and got out of bed.

She would be heading down to the main room on the ground floor and would be sleeping on the couch again.

She was still able to hear everyone but it wasn't nearly as bad down there.

"I wish that I could sleep in my own room." Kyoka thought.

It had basically become a routine for her at that point, as this was now a regular occurrence.

Kyoka grabbed a bottle of water, took a few sips and then set it down on the table next to her before settling down onto the couch to rest.

Kyoka sighed as she looked at the time, realizing that it would only be another three hours until the sun would rise and she would need to get prepared for school.

About an hour later, someone took notice of the stressed out girl, who was now asleep on the couch.

Midoriya was about to go out for a run as he noticed Kyoka's current state.

"That's strange, I hope that she's alright." Midoriya thought.

As Midoriya opened the front door, ready to start training, something in the back of his mind stopped him.

"I need to keep improving but… something isn't right here." Midoriya thought.

Midoriya quietly shut the door and looked at Jiro with worry as she winced.

"She's having a nightmare." Midoriya thought.

Midoriya quickly took his shoes off and put them aside before approaching Kyoka.

"I can always train more, later on, right now, she needs me." Midoriya thought.

Midoriya crouched down and gently shook her, waking her up.

"Izuku?" Kyoka

"Hey, are you alright?" Midoriya asked.

Kyoka winced again as the slight headache she had at the moment got worse.

"Yeah, I'm fine, it's just been a long night for me." Kyoka told him.

"What happened?" Midoriya asked.

From there, Kyoka informed him on the situation.

"You could always put in a request for the school to upgrade the soundproofing properties of your room." Midoriya said.

"I did, but it'll take a while, plus, I don't want to seem ungrateful to them." Kyoka admitted.

"Well, you could try to talk to everyone about it." Midoriya said.

Kyoka got a bit annoyed at that statement.

"I did that too, Bakugo was less than cooperative, Mina and Toru said that I had no right to complain, Kaminari refused, Sero can't help it, which I can understand and admittedly I didn't ask Mineta because I don't even want to attempt to go near his room." Kyoka told him.

Midoriya sighed, feeling a bit sorry for her.

"It's times like these that I wonder why I was born with this quirk." Kyoka said.

Midoriya didn't even hesitate as he knew Kyoka well enough to know the answer.

"To make people smile." Midoriya said.

Kyoka looked at him, surprised by his response.

"What?" Kyoka asked.

"You were wondering why, so I gave you an answer." Midoriya said.

"You have this quirk to help people, to listen to the voices that are unheard by everyone else, to reach out to people through your music and to make people smile." Midoriya answered.

Midoriya looked at her, eye to eye without any doubt in his mind.

"Both you and your quirk are amazing, I'm just sorry that it's causing you so much grief." Midoriya said.

"Evidently, it's causing you grief as well." Kyoka said.

"What do you mean?" Midoriya asked.

"Well, I kept you from going on your run and I'm sorry." Kyoka apologized.

Midoriya happily sighed.

"It's alright, I can always do some extra training later, you're more important." Midoriya told her.

Midoriya didn't notice it, but Kyoka was now blushing upon hearing his words.

"Once again, Midoriya comes to the rescue, always knowing exactly what to say to me." Kyoka thought.

Kyoka smiled as she sat up and patted the couch, wanting him to sit down next to her.

Midoriya complied and took a seat.

Despite the continued noise from upstairs, Kyoka eventually got some sleep, as she rested her head against Midoriya's chest.

Midoriya was still slightly awake and little embarrassed by it, but he didn't mind.

As he said before, she was more important.

Midoriya drifted off to sleep as well as he mentally prepared himself for what the morning would bring.

"Our classmates will see us when we they wake up and come down here for breakfast." Midoriya thought.

"Please let them be calm and collected about it." Midoriya thought.

They would not be.
