"What the hell happen to her?" Kavin asked and tugged the gun in the back of his jean. Anaya boyfriend step inside with Purvi in his arms while Anaya close the door after pulling the bags in and they follow him to the living room where he lay Purvi on the couch.
"I saw her lying in parking lot by her car and the bags were beside her." Anaya boyfriends says and smile in thanks at Anaya when she offered him a glass of water.
"I didn't know she was coming here." Anaya say quietly and saw as Kavin kneel down by the couch and brush the hairs from her forehead.
"Anaya, can you get me a wet towel?" Kavin asked without looking away. Anaya nodded and went in the bathroom to get a wet towel.
"What is going on? Am I missing something?" Kavin brother asked as he saw Kavin face. Anaya came back and handed it to him and dragged her boyfriend in her room to explain everything.
Kavin sigh silently and he gently started to wipe the sweat from her forehead and hands. He softly wipe her full face and smile at the least amount of makeup from that came off. He know she didn't really do makeup but only to look fresh. Kavin heart clench at the sight of her puffy eyes with slight redness around it.
"Kavin?" A voice called from some distance. Kavin look and saw his brother standing with Anaya. "I have to leave right. Mom is waiting for me." Kavin nodded and put the towel on the table before walking toward his twin brother.
"You didn't tell the reason of your presence here." Kavin says and look back Purvi sleeping on the couch.
"Umm... I came to steal her away for the rest of the day because Mom wants to meet her." Kavin smile at his brother because he know how much their mother would annoyed her sons to let her meet their girlfriends.
"It is okay. You guys can go. I will stay here and take care of her because I don't think it will be good for her to go at the event in evening." Kavin told them. Anaya shake her to protest but a look from Kavin stop her.
"Fine. I will be back." Anaya mumble and went back in her room to get ready.
"You will stay the night here, won't you?" Kavin heard his brother and shrugged. He wants to stay here with her but he didn't know if Anaya would let him stay or not.
"I am not sure right now but if Mom asked about me then tell her, I have an important case to handle and I will be back later tonight." Kavin told him. His brother look at him with wide eyes.
"You want me to lie?" Kavin brother asked him shocked. Kavin sigh and shake his head.
"No, I want you to hide the real reason unless you really wants to see Mom loose her temper." Kavin raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms. His brother sigh and nodded slowly.
"Okay. Take care of her and yourself." Kavin nodded and give his brother a hug. Anaya came back and went out with her boyfriend after bidding her goodbyes. Kavin sigh and close the door before walking back inside where the woman who he is worried about.

"You are not going anywhere." Kavin state and gently pushed back Purvi when she was about to stand.
"Excuse me. I didn't ask you, if I could go or not. I am going and that is final. It is important for me to be there." Purvi says and glared at him when he open his mouth to argue. Purvi walk in Anaya room where she know all her bags are and open it to grab the dress for the evening before she went to get ready.
Around 3 hours of sleeping, Purvi finally wake up and was surprised to see Kavin. He told her about Anaya going downstairs to leave for something urgent to handle and saw her in the parking before she struggle to carry her up here. He also inform her that he came to meet her friend and asked for a favor to stay by her side until she came back. Kavin didn't know if she was convince but when she didn't say anything, he stop himself for lying further. After that, Kavin make something for her to eat and give her a pain killer when she feel headache.
Now, it is almost 6 in the evening and she is late for the event. She had to be there at 5:30 to check the thing last time and make sure everything went smoothly. Purvi quickly change her dress and was thankful for having the same skin as Anaya and quickly did her makeup and hairs before stepping in the heels.
"Come in." Purvi called when she heard a knock on the door. Purvi grabbed her clutch and turned around when she didn't hear anything.
"What?" Purvi asked nervously when she saw Kavin standing by the door. "Is this too much?"
"I honestly didn't think it would look like this on you." Kavin comment make her more nervous because he didn't give any compliment if she is looking good or not.
"I will change it then." Purvi mumble and walk toward Anaya closet to borrow a dress from her.
"No, don't change it. It looks perfect on you." Purvi heard him and turned to face him again only to see him smiling softly at her. Purvi swallow and nodded slowly.
With everything that happen today, Purvi didn't expect a few things and on top of that list is, spending some time with Kavin alone at her friend apartment. When she realise earlier that Kavin heard everything that happen between her and Madhu, she decide to ignore him for sometime before breaking the friendship.
Secondly, Purvi also decide not to go in the event but when Madhu indirectly blackmail her for sending her to prison, she change her mind. She know that there is no other way to leave the company unless she complete that contract with Mr. Verma and pay off the debt and clear the company loans.
"We should leave. We are getting late." Purvi says and went to mirror to take one last look of her. She frown in confusion when she saw something sliding up to her neck and look behind her through the mirror only to see Kavin holding up a necklace on her neck before he claps the end together.
"This complete your look." Kavin says softly and smile when he saw her fingers running on the sliver necklace.
"Kavin, you are doing too much for me. I don't know how to thank you enough for making things easy for me. I don't even know how to repay you." Purvi says softly and turned around. Kavin smile slighlty and shake his head.
"You don't have to pay me back. Whatever I did, is because you are my friend." Kavin told her and smile slightly when she sigh and nodded.
"Lets go and get the evening started." Kavin says trying to cheer her up. Purvi force out a smile and they leave the room and the apartment to go toward their destination.

"Sorry. I was stuck in traffic." Purvi flinch internally at the lame excuse but sigh silently when everyone was convinced by her statement.
"So, is everything okay? Are you guys ready to start it?" Purvi look at the company manager and nodded. Soon, office employees filed in the ballroom.
At 8 in evening, the ballroom was filled with people who are enjoying the night. Purvi look around the hall and smile at her work. Purvi call a waiter and sent him toward a group of people when she saw their glasses empty.
"Are you enjoying the night?" Purvi heard and look beside her before looking away to keep her eyes on things happening.
"Hmm, it is going good." Purvi says and look at her watch only to groan when she realise there is still 4 hours left for the event to be over.
"Come on." Purvi looked at Kavin when he hold her hand around the wrist. Purvi was confused and shake her head.
"No. I am not going anywhere." Purvi told him firmly but he just smirk slighlty and started to drag her behind him. Purvi move her feets not wanting to make a scene and notice as Kavin nodded at her assistant when they pass her.
"Where are you taking me?" Purvi asked once they exit the ballroom. Kavin look at her and continue to walk.
"Somewhere more peaceful. Don't worry, we are not going far away from here." Kavin says and they step in the empty elevator. As it started to close, Purvi swallow nervously and glance at the man who dragged her here.
"Can at least let go of my hand?" Purvi asked and look at him surprised when he shake his head but wrapped his fingers around hers.
"No." Kavin stated making her annoyed and look away. "By the way, you look cute when your cheeks puffed up as you get angry." Kavin smirk when he feels her hand squeezing it tight enough to make him hiss in pain.
"Idiot." Purvi mumble under her breath and look as the elevator go higher and higher.
"Are we going on garden rooftop?" Purvi asked but before Kavin could say anything, she got her answer as the elevator open on the rooftop. Kavin look at her and give her a small smile before stepping in the garden with her.
"Come on, I will show you the most beautiful view right now." Kavin says and take her to the other side of rooftop and stop before looking at her. Purvi eyes were wide open as she look at the moon shining in sky with thousands of stars winking around it. Purvi look at the sea and saw the moonlight refecting making the view even more beautiful.
"This view is so beautiful." Purvi whisper and slowly walk toward the edge of the rooftop and smile softly.
"Yeah." Purvi heard from beside her and saw Kavin standing at her some distance.
"Why did you bring me here?" Purvi asked him confused and lean against the boundary wall. Purvi look at him waiting for an answer but he was looking at the sea.
"I heard everything earlier today." Kavin says and look at Purvi as she look away from him.
"And I don't think you are someone to blame at for anything. I don't know about the problems between you and your mother but whatever she said wasn't right. She don't know how much you are trying to pay off the debt and keep your company." Purvi sigh and looked up at the stars.
"You know Mrs. Mathur hates me because I take Dad away from her." Purvi says softly as her eyes watered thinking of Madhu words. Purvi look at Kavin when she feel his gaze on her.
"Huh? How is that possible?" Kavin couldn't stop himself from asking.
"Mrs. Mathur thinks that since I step in their house with Dad, I had taken him away from her. She thinks that Dad didn't give her any of his property or business because he thought that she couldn't handle it well." Purvi says trying to let everything out of her heart.
"If your Dad didn't give her anything than you aren't to blame at. There must be a reason behind it." Kavin tried to assure her. Purvi nodded and wipe a tear that fall from her eyes.
"Yeah, there was a reason because he know that Mrs. Mathur likes to spend the money at shopping or at casino clubs. That was the reason, he wants me to study about business so after he retire I could look after it." Purvi told him the actual reason that Rajan told her a few weeks before her graduation.
"That is not all, Mrs. Rajan thinks that Dad died because of me." Purvi says and look away from his surprise look.
"How?" Kavin asked and listen silently as Purvi told him how she insist Rajan to come at her graduation ceremony and he met with an accident when he was on his way which takes his life away and how Madhu blame her for that.
"Sometimes, I think that if Dad wouldn't adopt me than this all wouldn't happen. Sometimes, I think if I wouldn't be stubborn than he could be here with me right now. Sometimes, I just think, this would be a bad dream and I would wake up but every time reality slaps me out it and make me realise that this is true and I have to deal with my entire life now." Purvi whisper and look at Kavin as a few tears fall from her eyes but she didn't make a move to wipe it away. Purvi close her eyes when she see Kavin taking a step closer and wiping her tears away.
"I miss him so much right now." Purvi says and sobbed softly as Kavin wrapped his arms around her and let her out her emotions. Kavin gently rocked her back and forth and whisper comforting words in her ear to make her relax.
"You know your Dad will be hurting right now seeing you cry like this. I can't say that I understand what you are going through but right now you have to stay strong and face off the challenge in front of you." Kavin spoke softly making her shake her head. Purvi pulled back and wipe her face clean.
"I can't. I don't want to be strong. I want all this to be over now. I can't take it anymore." Purvi says with teary eyes. Kavin looked in her eyes and could see that this is her breaking point. He now knew that she wasn't ready to take all this when her Dad died but still she step up to take her responsibilities.
"We will figure out something." Kavin says and again wipe a tear that rolled down to her cheek. Purvi look at him and nodded trusting him to think for a solution to get out of all this.

Dear Srishti Prasad, Thank you for your review on the last chapter. You asked about the OS on kavi that I said I would update but I am not sure about it right now. As I said, I did write it a few times but still it didn't turn out like I wanted but that doesn't mean I will give up. I will update it when I feel satisfy and think it will be good enough until then I will be working on another Kavi story.
