Callum runchman- so reread chap 7 cuz the story changed

Guest- are you saying that you're homophobic??? What do you mean I shouldn't have added an lgbtq character, get your homophobic ass out of here smh

Nothing could go wrong- this takes place right after the lightning theif in between sea of monsters, so at this point it's known that Luke is not an allyreferring to your other point could you please specify which chapter thank you

For the guests who have commented with constructive criticism I thank you very much, it means a great deal.

Also to the guest who wrote. A superrrrrr longgggg review, I read it all and I'm happy that you understand my intentions. Ethan isn't just some fictional character I've conjured in my head... I've actually seen a lot of people with a thought process like him. In which they assume that homosexuality can be cured. Ethan is a reflection of naive thoughts other people have ( specifically on lgbtq community) so I'm happy that you don't think it's offensive. In addition I understand that someone like Ethan is more that an evil person. Ethan is a product of the values his parents have pushed on to him, it goes without saying that he has adopted them. I modified my chapter because I don't want to disappoint anyone who reads it as well. Also thank you for your concern for me and empathy, it's rlly appreciated; also nice of you:)

Ethan will continue to be homophobic however I will ensure that I never write anything blatantly disrespectful.

As always thank you guys for reviewing.

Also I updated chapter 7, if the grammar wasn't good in chap 7 I apologize but I'll ensure that the grammar is better this time around.

I was the last to wake, I guess that's probably since I was also last to sleep. When I woke up, all of them were gathered in a circle in a hushed conversation. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.

"What are you guys talking about?

" let's just freshen up and eat breakfast", Annabeth continued.

" I second that", said Celeste.

Annabeth went in first, to take a shower, after saying that the lock on the bathroom door didn't work so we should be careful.

Me and the guys sat on one sofa while Harper and Celeste sat on the other, the thought of Annabeth having a shower gave me butterflies and I briefly thought about going in but she'd definitely slap me.

Eventually I couldn't take the boredom and informed them that I had to pee. I'd been in Annabeths house before so I knew where everything was, I climbed up the stairs, the first bathroom was empty meaning Annabeth was in the second. I walked slower as to cover the sounds of my footsteps and as I approached Annabeths bathroom I got a view of her room. I'd never been to her room up till now. She'd always kept the door closed, but I saw a wall filled with pictures of her and a few other people I didn't know, the picture in the center was of her in a yanky cap and a bow with brown curly hair and another boy who looked suspiciously similar to Percy.

One thing that was strange is that everyone in the picture wore strange orange T-shirts' that said camp-

Before I got to read the whole thing I heard a voice, "Ethan?"

Shit, I'd gotten so distracted I hadn't even heard his footsteps.

"Ethan, what are you doing here?", Percy squinted his eyes at me.

"Nothing", I answered to quick.

" I was gonna use the restroom but then I saw the pictures and I ..." , I tried making up a lie on the spot. It wasn't fully wrong but if he found out what my real intentions were, I know he'd tell Annabeth.

"Yeah right", Percy huffed.

" what are you doing here anyways", I asked.

" you aren't the only one who pees ya know"

I blushed, that's embarrassing, he kinda has a point there.

The bathrooms over there, he jerked his thumb behind him, toward the first bathroom.

I mumbled an irritated thanks as I walked toward the bathroom.

When I exited Percy was waiting. I briefly considered tripping him as we both crossed paths but I decided that it wouldn't be in good taste. Considering yesterday and all... I'd just play it a bit more safe for now.

I needed to do a reconnaissance and figure out more about Percy and definitely more about her. This sleep over was a a real eye opener , I now realize how little I know about Annabeth, but it doesn't matter. In the end I'm the superior option. No matter what, Annabeth will be mine. I'll make sure of that.

I quickly jogged down the stairs and sat on the edge of the seat, I patiently waited for Percy to come down but when he did he wasn't alone, Annabeth was walking down with him as well.

At first I didn't notice Percy was with her. Her beauty was breath taking, she was laughing with a glitter in her eyes as she ruffled her damp hair with a towel. Then my eyes glimpsed to her side and realized that the reason she was laughing was Percy.

I felt a spike of rage at the fact that Percy was the one making her laugh but I felt better knowing that Percy would soon be leaving. Then I'd be the one making her happy.

As they reached the bottom of the stairs Annabeth snorted in laughter and elbowed him, he rubbed his side and faked a grimace of pain before both of them burst into laughter again. That was surprising for me since Annabeth usually packed a punch, if she else owed me it would take all I had to act like it didn't hurt.

I could vaguely understand their hectic conversations with a sprinkle of "seaweed brain" and something about sticks? Well that's about all I was able to understand from here.

I wasn't the only one staring at them either, all my friends were staring at them too. Celeste gave them a point full cough and they stopped talking.

" what?" Annabeth said, somewhat miffed.

"No nothing" Celeste said in an equally miffed voice.

I'd guess that Celeste was annoyed that Percy couldn't take a hint. That would put a spike in their friendship, I decided to change the topic since I didn't appreciate all the attention on Percy and Annabeth. I turned toward Joshua, "aren't you guys gonna shower"

" I already did, while you guys were sleeping me, Liam, Harper and Celeste already showered, now it's only you and Percy remaining", Joshua replied.

Right I guess I'd forgotten that I was the last to wake. I gave a pointed look at Percy, no way I'd go for a shower first and let him spend more time with Annabeth.

Percy raised an eyebrow at me," I didn't realized you disliked showers that much"

I scowled at him and then tried to play it off cool, I decided the best thing would be to simply ignore him. Percy stuffed his hand into has blue pajama pant pockets.

I didn't realize how goofy he looked, before I missed the chance I called to him, " blue pajamas??? Seriously?"

"Dude, blues my favorite color", Percy retorted.

My blood boiled. That guy seriously got on my nerves with his stupid blue everything obsession and stupid hair and stupid face. The only thing stupider than that was his brain.

I'd show him. Annabeth liked me more than him.

When Percy left in occurred to me that this was the one time me and Annabeth would be together without Percy today, even if the rest of our friends were there. I'd be smart to make use of this time.

I looked around, me and Harper made accidental eye contact and she quickly looked down. Celeste, and Joshua were talking, leaving Liam to fiddle with the necklace hanging around his neck. Annabeth wasn't occupied with anything meaning that now was my chance.

" so Annabeth", I started, " what is camp"

Annabeths eyes met my eyes," when I ran away I had to live somewhere right? So I lived at camp"

She hesitated before answering," its location is supposed to be confidential"

"Oh ok", even if I did say that I definitely didn't feel that way. I needed to know. If Annabeth wouldn't tell me I needed to find out some other way. This information was crucial in getting closer to Annabeth, I could feel it

" if the camps for runaways how come Percy stayed there as well"

Again Annabeth hesitated, she was acutely aware that the rest of us were keeping our ears pricked for the answer too.

All of us wanted to know about camp.

" at one point Percy needed a place too... so he lived at camp for a while..", her words were carfully chosen and didn't disclose much information about camp. At this rate I'd never know about it.

All I know is that Annabeth was keeping it a secret and preferred it that way, when Percy blurted camp Annabeth looked annoyed. She didn't want us to find out about it. For whatever reason.

From then on, it was silence until Percy finished his shower. He walked down the stairs in jeans and a hoodie, his hair plastered on to his forehead like a wet dog. Now that he's out it means that it's my turn.

Once I finished my shower I threw on a pair of shorts with a randomly found t-shirt. I sprayed on cologne. See that's the difference between me and Percy, I care about my smell whereas he doesn't.

Hmph, nothing beats the smell of axe.

When I walked down the stairs Percy was excitedly bouncing around. Apparently they were making pancakes.

" not just any pancakes... BLUE PANCAKES ", Percy said.

Celeste was making a face at him which I recognized as her " awww he's so cute " face. Ugh she could get annoying.

All of us went over to the kitchen where Annabeth had already kept the ingredients ready. Percy scanned the kitchen counter, " where's the blue food dye", he asked.

She rolled her eyes, " you and your blue food ", she said as she reached into the cupboard the grab the dye bottle. Percy had a large grin plastered onto his face.

Annabeth was a natural leader. She delegated different tasks to us immediately. I'd hoped to be with her but no luck. Annabeth and Harper were preparing the dry ingredients.

Me and Celeste were whisking eggs, Liam and Percy were chopping fruits and preparing other toppings. Annabeth determined that Joshua didn't have the delicacy for cooking so her was stuck with making hot chocolate for all of us.

Ofcourse the pancakes were served... blue. A sick reminder of percys hold on Annabeth. I had to do something.

As soon as we finished eating breakfast, one by one everyone started leaving. I was only stretching my stay since I was waiting for Percy to leave first, I may live near annabeths house but even my parents would get mad if I came back this late. After around 30 minutes of strained conversation I finished risked the question, " so... when is Percy leaving"

Annabeth and Percy both shot me quizzical looks, " leaving?" Percy said.

"He's staying for the weekend"

My face fell, no point prolonging it now. No matter what time I left, Annabeth and Percy would be here alone.I sighed and told them I'd be on my way.

I had a bit of time but I had to do something, I just need to come up with a plan.

Thank you guys that's the end of this chapter

Also I'm typing on my phone not computer.
