"Where the hell have you been?" Clove demanded when they had reached the Cornucopia.

"What's the Princess doing here?" Marvel looked at Lily curiously, she shrunk back against Cato's side. Just because he had accepted her doesn't mean the others would and her anxiety shot up which caused her to wonder if she was safe her. She peeked around and noticed the boy from district three with them, she was curious as to how he got them to agree to let him join the Careers as from what she could remember from training he wasn't that skilled with weapons and that's what they value most.

"I was stung by the Tracker Jackers and Lily is joining us from now on" Cato shrugged sitting down as if his word was final, Marvel and Clove shared a look between them. "What's happened since I've been gone?"

"We haven't been able to find anyone else," Clove said eyeing Lily, "The kid has come up with a plan though,"

"What's the plan," Cato smirked. Lily tuned out as they spoke about moving the supplies and bombs around. She felt uncomfortable her, she knew Cato wouldn't hurt her but she was sure the others would throw her under the bus any chance they got. She sat of to the side playing with her knives.

"I hear your good with those?" Clove's voice pulled her out of her trance, Lily just nodded.

"You good with the plan Lil?" Cato asked her gently, again she just nodded.

"I'm going to get some air," She said getting up and walking out, Cato sighed but didn't follow her.

"What's up with the Princess?" She heard Clove.

"Her district partner tried to kill her and I killed him," Cato responded, and Marvel laughed.

"Are you both aware this is the Hunger Games people have to die for you to survive?" Clove scoffed at him, shooting him a knowing glance. Cato glared back, he was aware that his district partner wouldn't understand, she was exactly what they trained her to be.

"Leave it alone Clove," he snapped and he followed after Lily. He found her sitting near the entrance.

"You shouldn't be out here alone," He said sitting down next to her.

"I'm fine," she gestured to her knifes.

"I'm sorry about the boy from your district Lil," She knew it took a lot for him to say that, it takes a lot for him to say any of the things he says or does for her. It's not how he was trained, not in his nature.

"I'm so scared Cato," She said crying again. "Whenever I think about the outcome of this, it's either you winning and me dying, or us both dying or even worst it's you dying and me winning, and I just feel sick and anxious and scared all the time," She sobbed.

"Shh It's okay Lily," he soothed her, pulling her into him, kissing her forehead. "I don't know what the future holds but I know it'll be alright whatever happens, you know I love you and that's all we can do." She nodded. "Good, girl, come on, help us pile up some of this stuff." She didn't want too, she didn't want any part of their traps for the other tributes; but she knew it wasn't worth it to argue with Cato.

"Let's go find the girl from 11, she will be easy," Clove smirked after they'd set their plan in motion.

"I think that's a smart move," Cato nodded and Lily felt sick, they were plotting the death of a 12 year old girl.

"I'll wait here and guard the supplies," Lily mumbled glaring at the ground.

"No, you aren't leaving my side!" Cato glared at her.

"I am not going with you to kill a little kid,"

"Guys look," Marvel interrupted pointing at smoke in the distant. Clove looked as relieved as Lily felt to have her and Cato's argument put aside.

"Let's go," Clove said excitedly running off and Marvel following closing, Cato pulled Lily's hand and she pulled back.

"I'll wait here,"

"Lil…" She said in a disapproving tone.

"I'll be fine I promise." Cato sighed knowing there was no way to convince her.

"If I get back and there's a mark on her I'll rip your heart out," He said to the boy from district 3, who just gulped and nodded.

"He's going to kill you eventually you know that don't you?" Lily frowned at him. "I mean apart from Thresh, Clove and the girl from 12 you're his biggest competition especially with that belt and he has you right where he wants you thinking you can trust him. When it comes down to it I know he would kill you."

"You don't know what you're talking about," Lily glared at the boy, how could he. He hadn't seen her and Cato alone, heard what he'd said or did what he has done for her. If that was due he would've let Nile kill her down at the river.

"I do though, I heard them talking about it before you found each other. It's all a plan." Lily shook her head. He was just trying to get in her head, she told herself but a small seed of doubt was growing in the pit of her stomach. "Same plan he had for Glimmer too." Instantly she remembered seeing Cato curled up with Glimmer under the tree before she died.

"I'm going for a walk." She mumbled before stalking away ignoring the boys calls for her, clearly scared of what would happen if Cato came back and she was gone but Lily didn't care, her mind was racing with thoughts of what would happen if this was all a plan, would he kill her in the end.

Lily wasn't sure how long she was walking for before an explosion coming back from the cornucopia startled her, she instantly ran back in the direction she'd come from. She had made it to the clearing of the forest when she saw the supplies had been blown up and the boy from three was walking back looking scared, he must have left the camp. She went to approach him when she saw the others had arrived back Cato charging forward to the boy.

"What the hell happened?" she heard him yell coming the boys spear and only defense from his hands and throwing it to the ground. She couldn't hear what the boy was saying but in a fit of rage Cato snapped his neck so quickly she thought she missed it, but the boy slumped to the ground.

Lily gasped and stumbled backwards in shock, she heard yell for her and she took off running back through the forest. Would he too snap her neck when he went into a fit of rage? Stopping as she came to a large tree, she threw up the contents in her stomach and began to hyperventilate. Closing her eyes she felt tears well up as she tried to calm herself down.
