Bring Out Your True Self Edward!

Edward began to walk his way to the exit of the village to meet one of the sailors affiliated to the Hokage. Edward made sure to pack the essential from a simple water flask and compass to the weaponry of his flintlocks and wooden sword. As Edward got to the entrance he met a heavily built dark-skinned man. Edward was confused wondering if this was the right man as he never seen to many dark-skinned figures in Konoha.

"Excuse me Sir are you in charge of the Konoha Naval Officer Program?" as Edward questioned the dark-skinned individual.

The man gives a hearty laugh and looks at the boy eyeing before responding.

"No, I'm sorry my child but I'm just a bodyguard. But my name is Kurozunda Mizu, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Kurozunda bows towering over the boy. Edward began to study his body amazed at how strong he looked. He's skin was as dark as coal but burned with intense vibe around it as if he was on fire. His black hair was close to being wool of a sheep. He wore only a baggy pants and wooden sandals that somehow made him seem like a calm figure. Edward was amazed at how different he was compared to the pirates that kidnapped him those many years ago.

"Now child let's make are way to the Naka River, are boat will be stationed there." As Kurozunda led the way.

Edward began to follow Kurozunda and made their way to the river.

Towering over the ravine the boat was hugging near the rocks as it was docked by a rope and a nail against it's side as it was holding it back from drifting.

"How did you get up here!?" as Edward was shocked at something that seemed impossible.

"Simple child I climbed." as Kurozunda stepped near the cliff he stopped and turns his head to Edward and smiles before walking off.

"KUROZUNDA!?" Edward ran to the cliff and looks down only to see Kurozunda standing there on the side of the cliff.

"Did I scare you child?" as Kurozunda stands their and casually walks down towards the boat clinging to the wall.

"How am I suppose to get down!?" as Edward shouts completely lost in how Kurozunda was doing this trick.

Kurozunda stops and looks at Edward as he was now puzzled. "Wait you don't know how to do this!?" as he shouts in confusion as well.

Kurozunda began to walk his way back to the cliff and looks at Edward.

"Do you not know how to use chakra?" as Kurozunda wanted to know why this boy doesn't know how to use it.

Edward looks down in embarrassment and ashamed.

"N..no I don't know how to channel my chakra… I can barely do jutsu's but I know about them on paper and where to find them thanks to Lady Hinata."

Kurozunda thinks of a scenario and looks over the boy.

"Ok child you know where to find them, but you wish to control it?...Here's a scenario, say this "Hinata" girl was stuck at the bottom of this ravine? Each step of yours are vital in order for her to be saved., if you failed to make it down there, then she will surely down."

Edward gulps and thinks of the Scenario. Hinata is clinging to a rock trying to stay arise from being swept down from the water.

"Edward Please Help Me!"

Edward snaps his eyes open and began to run towards the cliff clouded by the scenario. Kurozunda looks confused in what got over the child and watches dive down making him flinch and run toward the edge.

"Hinata I'm Coming For You!" as Edward began to run down the cliff believing Hinata was down in the ravine.

"Good Work Child You're a Pro at This!" as Kurozunda makes his way down saving his energy.

"What Do You Mean !?" as Edward slows down and looks at his feet forgetting that this was a scenario.

"Oh right?" as Edward lost focus and lost his control of his chakra and began slipped off the side of the cliff.

"WAAAAAHHHH!" as Edward began to fall towards the water.

Kurozunda dashes towards and pulls out what appears to be slave chains and whips the chain toward Edward as the cuffs at the end locked themselves around his wrist and Kurozunda pulls at it stopping Edward descent.

"Please child don't kill yourself yet before the training. Now try to attach yourself to the cliff."

Edward swings there amazed and began to relax and imagine himself against the cliff. He slightly swings himself and places a foot onto the cliff imagining him sticking to it. Edward places the other foot and was now fully standing on the side of the cliff.

"I'm going to keep these on you still child to ensure you don't fall again." As Kurozunda shows the chain.

Edward nods and slowly made his way down to the boat with Kurozunda behind him. They finally made it to the boat settled themselves in. The boat began to travel down the ravine with the boat finally reaching a clearing.

The ocean was dark blue and sparkled like a sapphire gem as the clouds were gently blocking the sun from it's rays.

"Wow…it's so beautiful out here." As Edward felt somewhat calmed by the view.

Kurozunda chuckles and responds to Edward words.

"Yes, the sea is a beautiful woman but she can be easily deceptive as a snake." As Kurozunda rows towards a wooden boat.

As Edward climbed up the boat and to his amazement was a wide variety of different seamen from them looking as tall and dark as Kurozunda to the smallest person being three feet tall.

"Welcome Edward to The Konoha Naval Officer Program" as a old man began to walk towards them from on of the ships doors.

The old man was small wearing a tricorne hat with a dirty brown doublet compared to Edwards. He wobbled his way to him with an aid of a walking cane and with a rusted sword on his side. The old man at best was four feet tall and looked slightly tanned probably do to the life of the sea.

"My name is Captain Iriamu Kiddo, and today you'll be learning how to be Naval Officer."

Edward stands there amazed and nods his head ready for his new lifestyle.

GUH! Guh Ga!

Edward does his best to stay afloat doggy paddling as a line was wrapped around his torso.

"Come on you land walker! Dig into the sea and keep your head up!" as Captain Kiddo looks down at Edward in the sea.

Edward accidently swallowed some sea water and began to cough it out.

"This IS RidiCulous!" as Edward was still struggling to float, his arms and legs starting to get tired.

Edward begins to sink down into the sea with the line descending only for it to be dragged and Edward being plopped back onto the ship thanks to Kurozunda.

"Child you stayed longer than usual, so that is good." Kurozunda smiles trying to encourage the boy.

Edward drags himself back up and gently smiles at Kurozunda kindness.

"That was pitiful boy, you need to improve your swimming style otherwise you're a dead man to the sea." As Captain Kiddo begins to smoke a pipe thinking.

"There's got to be a way to improve my swimming!?" Edward looking desperate to get better.

"…. Follow me boy" Captain Kiddo rose from his chair and began to walk to the main mast and plants his feet on it slowly walking his way up to the crow nest.

Edward imitates him and steps on the main mast slowly getting accustom to controlling his chakra to his feet but was still a little slow at it.

Captain Kiddo was standing there at the crow nest looking out at the deep blue sea with Edward finally making it to the top admiring it with him.

"Edward one learns how to properly swim do to one's desire of being apart of the water, once you learn how to be one with water, then you know how to swim."

Edward looks at the water nervously and begins to see how tranquil it was compared to how chaotic it was when he travelled on the slave ship. Edward stepped onto the rim of the crow nest and closes his eyes. Captain Kiddo looks at the corner of his eye curious in what the boy will do.

Edward takes a deep breath and pushes off the crow nest and began to dive into the sea.

"Lay Anchor!" as Captain Kiddo yells looking at the ripples in the tranquil ocean.

Edward opens his eyes only to see the depths of the ocean being dark blue. He controls his breath taking in the feeling of the ocean.

"Are you afraid boy?" a dark voice can be heard.

"It's you again?" Edward questions the voice.

"Who are you?" asking the voice inside of him.

"I'm not sure, I came into being when you were young but I do know my name is Lir." The dark voice spoke.

"I've been watching you for a long-time boy. I must say, you really need to grow a fucking spine." Lir spoke insulting Edward.

"So, what makes you come out here now to insult me now asshole!?" Edward growling in the water making him choke slightly.

"I noticed you been trying to access your chakra more and I'm willing to donate some to you in exchange that you give me a test ride from time to time?" as Lir spoke hoping for an agreement.

"Will I have control if I demand it?" Edward being hesitant in this idea by might greatly benefit him in the future.

"If you have the strength, then yes I Agree." Lir speaking in agreement.

"Then we have a deal. My name is-"

"I know who you are, we been together for years and don't need an introduction. Now wake your ass up and swim, your running out of oxygen." Lir spoke advising him to move.

Edward awakens and gain the confidence to swim to the surface. He broke through the surface and saw the ship and began to swim his way by going in a side stroke style swim. He grabbed onto the ship with his chakra and climb his way up before panting his feet to the side to walk up. As he got to the side rail of the ship, he saw Captain Kiddo hand reaching out to him and he grabbed it. Edward stands there looking at Captain Kiddo as he spoke.

"Congratulations kid, you learned how to swim and trust the ocean. Now your ready to learn water jutsu's."

Thus Edward was ready to conquer anything with his new found ally and believe this will be beneficial change.
