A/N: Hey everyone, this is my first Lightspeed Rescue fanfic. So...to the reviewer who on several occasions asked me to do a Lightspeed Rescue, you've gotten your wish and now I'm writing Lightspeed Rescue. Hope that everyone likes it and if I don't update right away, its because I'm working on my other fanfics. I do have others that are in progress that need to be finished. I know that when I wrote this chapter, it wasn't going to be the best one. But at least I did my best. For all you lovely Power Rangers fanfic readers, I have something to say and I want to be clear about it. I get that you guys want me to write the Power Rangers Fanfics and I will. Just because you dont see your favorite season (or seasons) right away on my profile fanfic page, doesnt mean that I havent forgotten them.
Am I doing the entire Power Rangers franchise? Yes I am. When will I start writing those fanfics? Once I finished the current Power Rangers fanfics that I have, then the ones that you want me to write will be up. I wont be pressured into writing them early. You have to understand that I still have to come up with names for those OCs as well as their personalities and who they will be related to. I just want to point out that through out my version of Lightspeed Rescue, Jade (my OC) likes Joel and doesnt mind if he tries to date her mother throughout the episodes/chapters. Before you ask, no, she's not going to physically help him but she will however give him advice on what her mother likes and dislikes. Hope that you like it and as always, Happy reading, everyone!

Out in the water, Chad was touching one of the fish before heading back to the Aquabase and taking off his snorkeling mask. "Hey, Kelsey, wake up!" said Chad as he dries off his hair and knocks on her door. "Meet me in the galley."
"Yeah. Okay." said a sleepy Kelsey. Once dressed, Kelsey enters the galley when Chad was finishing his drink. "Good morning." said Kelsey, yawning. "Good morning."
"Good morning." said the galley guy as he turns on the blender.
"Thanks." said Chad as he gives the galley guy his tray. "I made friends with this huge grouper fish this morning."
"I can't believe you get up early every morning just to swim with the fish." said Kelsey, taking the blender from the counter. "And they call me crazy?"
"Are you ready?" Chad asked her.
"What?" asked Kelsey.
"I'm going to teach you something new today." Chad tells her as he grabs Kelsey's arm and drags her.
At Queen Bansheera's palace, another plan was being set into motion. "Mariner Bay would be rubble by now if not for those rangers." said Diabolico. "We've got to think of a way to destroy it before Queen Bansheera returns."
"Mama." Impus called out.
"I've got a monster that will blow the city into smithereens." said Vypra and hands Jinxer a card. "Jinxer, take this card and do your evil work."
"With pleasure, Vypra." said Jinxer, accepting the card and throws it into the abyss. "Hocus pocus, bullfrog croakus. Bring this monster into focus."
Once the chanting was finished, the monster came out of the abyss. "Smogger is here!" said Smogger.
"Excellent!" said Vypra, proud of Jinxer's work. "The rangers will be no match for Smogger's explosive firepower."
"You got that right, sister." said Smogger.
At an outside temple, Chad was teaching Kelsey Tai Chi. "I don't know about this Tai Chi." said Kelsey. "I think skateboarding is more my speed."
"But this will help you achieve inner calm, and if anyone needs it…" Chad tries to tell her.
"Are you saying I'm not calm?" Kelsey asked.
"Kelsey…" said Chad, as he tries to explain. "uh, I think you're awesome! Uh, you're…adventurous…uh, totally fearless…but…sometimes you get a little overexcited."
"What?" asked Kelsey. "I'll show you overexcited!"
She then goes over to him and they both start to rough house a bit until a couple pulls up on a motorcycle. The woman gives the driver a look as he gets off the bike. "Well, well." he said, chuckling. "If it isn't the blue and yellow ranger. Gee, I thought you guys fought monsters, not each other."
"I'm Chad, and this is Kelsey." said Chad, going in for a handshake.
"So, I bet you think you're tough, huh?" asked the guy, pretending to return the handshake.
"Well, no." said Chad.
"I bet he's nothing without his fancy ranger powers." taunted the girl.
"How about it?" asked the man. "Let's see what you got."
"Come on. Let's go." said Chad as Kelsey tries to defend him.
"I thought so!" the man called out after him. "You're chicken without your powers! Bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk!"
"He's not chicken!" said Kelsey. "Come on, show him, Chad."
"I don't have to prove myself to anyone." Chad tells her. "I know who I am."
"Bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk!" said the man, taunting Chad as he and Kelsey went to get their things. The man turns to the girl, who mouth 'Go', and points to Chad. He walks over and just as Chad was about to grab his towel, the man steps on it.
"Excuse me." said Chad and the man leans forward with his hand behind his ear.
"Did you say something?" asked the man.
"I said, excuse me." Chad repeated and yanks the towel from underneath him, causing Kelsey to giggle as he hits the ground.
"Don't let him get away with that, Brian!" said the girl, leaning against the bike. "Get him!" Brian gets up from the ground and starts throwing punches at Chad, who dodges them.
When Brian falls to the ground near his bike, the girl looks down at him. "What's the matter? I thought you said you could beat that guy." said the girl.
"Rangers, there's an attack in the downtown area." said Captain Mitchell.
"Let's go." said Kelsey and they both take off.
"I know I can beat that guy." Brian said to her. "You'll see."
"It looks like you blew your chance, 'cause there they go." said the girl, causing Brian to turn around and see that Chad was taking off, causing him to get frustrated.
In downtown Mariner Bay, Smogger threw a couple of balls into a building, destroying it in the process. "Joel! Dana! You help those people outside of the building." said Carter. "Chad, work on getting that fire out."
"Right!" they said.
"Kelsey, Jade, there are people trapped in the parking structure." said Carter. "We've got to get them out."
"Alright." said Jade.
"Let's do it." said Kelsey and the three of them piled into Kelsey's zord. "We're going in."
"I'll teach you how to break through a wall." She then turned her zord to the side. "This is cool." Kelsey said to Carter and Jade as she extends her zord's claw. "Hold on."
Kelsey backs her zord up and breaks down a wall. "Works every time."
"Let's go." said Carter as he, Jade and Kelsey exited the zord.
"Looks like we got here just in time." said Carter.
"And not a minute later." said Jade as they lifted up broken pieces of the building. Outside, Chad was putting out the fire.
"I've got the fire under control." said Chad and Kelsey's zord makes it out.
"Great job, guys." said Joel as Carter, Jade and Kelsey brought out the rescued people.
"That was some stunt you pulled in there, Kelsey." said Chad.
"That old trick? That was nothing." said Kelsey.
"Hey, next time tell us when you're going to do something crazy like that." said Carter, giving her a noogie when suddenly Smogger appears.
"Play time's over, rangers." said Smogger.
"What are you doing here, Smogger?" asked Carter.
"Yeah!" said Joel.
"This!" bellowed Smogger as Batlings attacked them from behind. "I'm going to have a ball!"
Smogger curls up and rolls away. "Chad! Kelsey! Don't let him get away!" exclaimed Carter.
"We're on it." said Chad. At a scrap heap, Brian drove up on his motorcycle when suddenly, he heard Smogger as well as Chad and Kelsey.
"He's heading towards that building!" shouted Chad as he and Kelsey ran after Smogger, who then goes inside the building. "He's in there."
"Now we've got him." said Kelsey. Inside the building, Smogger lets out smoke from his fingers, laughing as he does so.
"Stand back, I'm going to blast him out of there." said Kelsey, blaster in hand.
"Wait." said Chad, stopping her. "Let's think this through."
"Trust me, I know what I'm doing." Kelsey tells him. Unknowingly to them, Brian walks up to see what happens.
"Watch this." said Kelsey, then runs in.
"Kelsey, wait!" Chad called out after her but was too late. Kelsey takes several shots at the door. "I think I got him." said Kelsey but she was wrong and Chad knew it
"No, don't go in." Chad shouted to her as Kelsey runs towards the building. "It looks like a backdraft!"
Kelsey had already barged in and the smoke went up the stairs, causing a fire to head towards her. Kelsey and Chad screamed as the backdraft pushed them out of the building and onto the ground. Brian stood there as both of them powered down. "Yellow and blue out for the count." said Smogger, laughing. "Wait till I tell Vypra."
Brian, still hidden, watches as Smogger leaves Kelsey and Chad on the ground. Chad sits up to see if he's alright before looking over at Kelsey. "Kelsey!" shouted Chad as he goes over to her. "Are you okay? Kelsey! You okay?"
"I'm sorry." she said as Chad turns her over. "I should have listened to you. Is that what you meant by getting overexcited?"
"Kelsey!" Chad exclaimed as she passed out.
"Two rangers?" asked Vypra.
"Yes, Vypra." said Smogger.
"Not bad, but I want you to use your explosive gas to blow up all of Mariner Bay." Vypra tells Smogger.
"I haven't even used my strongest gas yet." Smogger tells her. "I'll take out Mariner Bay for you and the other rangers, too!"
Brian was hiding behind some metal containers when he suddenly bumps into one, causing Vypra and Smogger to hear him. "Who's that?" asked Vypra. Just then, Batlings grabbed Brian by his arms and dragged him in front of Vypra. "A spy?" she said. "Destroy him!"
"Wait!" said Brian. "I'm not a spy. I want to join you."
"Bow your head." said Smogger as Brian was thrusted in front of Vypra.
"I want to be your student." Brian said to Vypra. "I know that only you can teach me how to destroy the blue ranger."
"This could be interesting." said Vypra, amused at this. "Very well."
Just as Brian lifts up his head, Vypra blows something blue in his face. "Now, my student, lets get to work." she said and Brian stands up.
"Yes, my mistress." he said in a monotone voice. Kelsey was in a hospital bed as Chad watches her from the door.
"This whole thing is my fault." said Chad as he closed the door. "I should have stopped her."
"Yeah, right. You know nobody can stop that girl from doing anything once her mind is made up." said Joel.
"Like how I can't stop you from flirting with my mother?" said Jade with a smirk.
"How'd ya know that?" he asked.
"I'm observant." said Jade. "Which I can legally do without getting in trouble."
"Stop spying on her." said Joel.
"And the doctor said she's going to be fine." said Dana. Carter's morpher beeps.
"Carter here." said Carter.
"We located the Smogger." said Captain Mitchell. "He's in the Main Street tunnel." The rangers left the hospital when Chad stops and sees a Batling, laughing behind a tree. The Batling points to Chad and motions for him to follow.
"Wait." said Carter, placing a hand on Chad's shoulder. "It might be a trap."
"Don't worry." Chad assures him. "I'll deal with him and meet up with you." Carter nodded and takes off while Chad follows the Batling. On the side of the hospital, the Batling hands Chad a scroll.
"Blue Ranger, under the guidance of my master, Vypra, I now have the skills to defeat you." Chad read aloud. "I challenge you to fight me again and this time, I will be the victor. Brian."
"Ha ha ha! This is perfect." said Smogger as he gets near the Main Street tunnel. "I'll blow the city from underneath."
"Not today or any day." said Carter as he and the others zip down.
"Batlings, get them!" ordered Smogger and the Batlings attacked.
"Hyah!" shouted Brian as Vypra watches. He then starts chopping the boards with his feet.
"You have learned quickly, my student." said Vypra. "I think you're ready for battle. Excellent."
Chad walks up. "Vypra, let him go." said Chad.
"Just in time." she said. "I see you've met my new warrior."
"Come on, Brian." said Chad. "I'm going to get you out of here."
"I'm not going anywhere!" yelled Brian. "You're going to fight me!"
"No! You don't have to do this!" begged Chad.
"Yes, he does." said Vypra. "Get him!"
Brian goes into a fighting stance and runs towards Chad. "Brian, stop this!" said Chad as he grabs his arms. "I'm here to help you."
"I don't need your help." said Brian. "Hiyah!"
Brian continues to fight Chad. At the base, Kelsey grabs her jacket off the hook and rips off her bandage. "Going somewhere?" asked Miss Fairweather, causing Kelsey to turn around.
"Miss Fairweather?" asked Kelsey.
"Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" Miss Fairweather asked the injured yellow ranger.
"Yeah, but the others need me." said Kelsey. Miss Fairweather sighed, then walks over to a station. "I know that it's no use to try and talk you out of this, so at least let me give you something that may help." said Miss Fairweather, then pressed a button. "I've equipped this Lightspeed cycle with a Rescue Speeder. I think it might come in handy."
"Awesome." said Kelsey, smiling. "Thanks, Miss M."
"Be careful!" Miss Fairweather called out after her, causing Kelsey to face her. "I mean, try and bring it back in one piece."
"Lightspeed Rescue!" shouted Kelsey, morphing into her suit. "Lightspeed Cycle, rev up!"
Brian was kicking Chad's butt as Chad fell to the ground. "You're coming with me even if I have to do this the hard way." said Chad, taking off his jacket.
Both go into their fighting stances and started to fight. Smogger on the other hand, had the other rangers in his grasp. "Great balls of fire!" shouted Smogger with two white balls in his hands and threw them at the rangers. Smogger laughs as they fell to the ground while Kelsey was on her to way to help.
"You thought that was bad?" asked Smogger.
"Oh no." said Carter.
"Try this!" shouted Smogger and throws another ball at them.
"Rescue Speeder, launch!" shouted Kelsey and the side car detached itself from the cycle, heading straight for Smogger.
"Kelsey!" shouted Carter.
"Who'd you expect?" she asked. "Couldn't let you guys have all the fun."
"Kelsey, you're okay." said Dana.
"Didn't my mother tell you that you should be in bed?" asked Jade.
"She did, but I knew you guys needed my help." said Kelsey. "Its hard to keep a good ranger down."
"So we see." said Dana and Jade. On the other side of Mariner Bay, Chad continued to fight Brian until Chad kicked him in the chest.
"Pathetic human." said Vypra. "I should have known."
"Its over." said Chad, panting and walked over to him, reaching out his hand. "Let's go."
Just as Brian was reaching out, Batlings grabbed Chad and held him in place. "Maybe now you can finish the job." said Vypra. "Do it."
"What are you doing?" Brian asked her. "This is my fight!"
"You dare defy me?" asked Vypra.
"This isn't right." said Brian and Vypra punches him in the stomach. "Oh!"
"Brian!" shouted Chad.
"Destroy him or I'll destroy you." commanded Vypra, her sword hovering over him. Brian walks over towards Chad and gets into his stance.
"No." pleaded Chad. "Brian, no."
"Hyah!" screamed Brian.
"No!" shouted Chad and Brian hits one of the Batlings. Brian looks up at Chad and smiles. Suddenly, a Batling behind Brian runs towards them.
"Watch out!" shouted Chad and both of them started fighting the Batlings.
"What?" asked a shocked Vypra.
"No one's going to tell me what to do anymore." said Brian.
"You'll regret this, Blue Ranger." said Vypra, then takes off. Chad goes over and picks up his jacket.
"Thanks, Chad, and I'm sorry for everything." Brian said to him.
"Forget it." said Chad. "Now you don't have to prove yourself to anyone."
"Aah!" shouted Carter as he was thrown over.
"Carter, are you all right?" asked Joel.
"Yeah." he replied.
"One wounded ranger and four left…" said Smogger. "piece of cake."
"Hyah!" shouted Chad as he arrived and kicks Smogger in the chest.
"Lightspeed Cycle. Rescue Blaster." Blaster in hand, Chad aims it at Smogger as both blaster and Rescue Cycle fired.
"Now we've got him." said Carter.
"Lets finish this." said Chad as they hit Smogger with the Lightspeed Cycle. Once they came to a stop, Smogger went flying into the air and hit the ground, destroying himself.
"Mission accomplished." said the rangers.
"Hey, aren't you supposed to be in bed?" asked Chad.
"You should know me better than that." said Kelsey.
Chad and Kelsey were practicing Tai Chi in the park. "Hey! I did it!" said Kelsey, causing Chad to smile. "Don't laugh, but I really do feel a lot calmer."
"I told you." said Chad as Kelsey laughs. She then looks over his shoulder to see Brian with a group of martial arts kids.
"Come on, kids!" said Brian as he runs in place. "Try to keep up with me."
"Hey, Brian!" Chad called out and waved.
"Chad, Kelsey, good to see you." said Brian as he returned the wave and takes off.
"Wow." said Kelsey. "I guess people really can change."
"Absolutely." said Chad.
"Okay, I learned something from you." said Kelsey. "Now we have to figure out something that you can learn from me."
"Look out!" a girl said from behind as a tennis ball hits Kelsey in the head.
"I'm sorry." said Chad, then walks over to pick up the tennis ball. A girl walks up with a tennis racket in hand as Chad shakes his head.
"Oh, um…" said Chad as he stands up.
"Sorry about that." said the girl.
"Uh, um, that's okay." said Chad as Kelsey stood a ways from him, watching. "Here you go."
"Thanks." said the girl, as Chad handed her back the tennis ball. "Bye."
Kelsey walks over and waves her hand in Chad's face. "I've got it." she tells him. "I'm going to teach you how to talk to girls."
"What?" said Chad.
"Come on." said Kelsey as she grabs his hand.
"Wait a second." said Chad.
"We've got a lot of work to do." said Kelsey. "And I know someone you can practice on."
"Wait! Hold on!" said Chad as Kelsey drags him.
