Raiden arrived back at the box just as Akiza wins her duel, "Called it." He said getting the trio's attention.
Leo and Luna immediately crowded him, "Is Yusei, ok?" They asked frantically.
Raiden smiled before he patted their mint green heads, "He's fine. I checked in with the medics and they said he didn't have a scratch on him, barley any bruises." He assured getting looks of relief in reply.
Walking ahead the twins quickly followed him, "Looks like the next duel will be between Yusei and Akiza." Atem commented looking down at the arena.
"And it'll prove to be an interesting one." Raiden replied getting a chuckle in reply, "What?"
"You only ever say a duel will be interesting when you don't know who the winner will be." Atem stated glancing at Raiden, "That hasn't happened in a while, since the last time we dueled if I recall."
"Sometimes not knowing is half of the fun." Raiden replied looking over at Atem, "Especially during a duel."
"Don't I know that." The multi-color haired teen replied, "Going into a duel knowing you're going to win is so boring. I miss the unpredictability."
"Something tells me that we're going to get a lot more of that." Raiden said grimly getting an inquisitive look from Atem, "I'll explain later when Wheeler gets here."
Atem nodded.
"Oh, Mr. Kaiba can you take us to see Yusei before he final duel until he faces Jack?" Leo asked excitedly.
Raiden smirked, "Sure, might as well wish him luck. He'll need it."
"What do you mean?" Luna asked, "I know Akiza is a good duelist but Yusei is great."
"Because I've dueled her and she nearly bested me. She's a very unique duelist and she won't be easy to defeat." He replied warningly as they began to make their way out of the box.
"Leave me alone I guess." Atem sighed.
Walking down the hallways below the stadium Leo and Luna looked frantically for Yusei. Raiden gave the hallways an occasional glance around but ultimately knew where he was. He knows this stadium like the back of his hand. Turning the corner the trio spotted Yusei standing with Aki.
Raiden raised a single brow before the twins rushed forward, "Yusei!" Leo exclaimed, "We need you to settle an argument!"
The twins gasped at the sight of Akiza, "The witch!" Leo said.
"Leo, she's not a witch." Yusei reprimanded.
Raiden decided to draw attention to himself, "We've been looking for you." He said joining the group.
Ali gasped at the sight of Raiden who only gave her an even look, "It's you."
Yusei glanced between the two, "You two know each other?"
"What's going on back here?"
Looking down the hall behind Yusei, Raiden saw Lazar approaching. The CEO rolled his eyes at the sight of the short man.
"Is everybody getting along nicely?" The clown asked, "That was quite the impressive duel miss Akiza."
Raiden moved between Lazar and Yusei, "Cut the empty compliments, Lazar. What does Goodwin want?"
The shorter man smiled in reply, "Director Goodwin wishes to see this lovely lady and have a little chat. I'd say more but it's not my place."
Raiden looked back at Akiza meeting her gaze briefly before facing Lazar once more, "She's not going anywhere near Goodwin." He declared sternly.
"I couldn't agree more Mr. Kaiba."
Coming from another hall Raiden looked up to see Divine with two of his followers. He was a leader of a hidden organization known as Arcadia. He's now about them for months. He left them to their own devices for now but given the current circumstances, he may need to do something about them.
"Akiza must rest." He stated as his two followers stepped between Akiza and everybody else.
"And who are-"
"Don't try to trick me with ignorance Lazar." Divine interrupted, "I know you same as you know me so let's cut to the chase. Stay away from Akiza. She isn't interested in what Director Goodwin has to say." He stated before his men began to escort Akiza.
"Divine." Raiden said stopping them in their tracks, "It seems what I've heard about is true, right down to the dumb haircut."
"Mr. Kaiba, I'm honored you took the time to learn my name." Divine smiled politely but Raiden saw right through it.
"I didn't say Akiza was going to go anywhere with you either." Raiden declared before steel doors slid down from the ceilings sealing each hallway, "She stays or none of you leave." He urged as he reached for his Millennium Rod.
Akiza gasped at Raiden's actions. Why is he doing this?
Yusei quickly grabbed Raiden's arm before he could take hold of the golden item, "Raiden I understand. I don't like either of these guys but this isn't the way." He whispered.
Raiden's sapphire eyes looked up to meet Yusei's navy blue eyes before he sighed. Snapping his fingers the steel doors slid open. He then glared at Divine and then Lazar, "Lazar, tell your boss that I'm coming for him and you Divine, watch your back." He glared at Divine before the man smirked and walked away with Akiza.
"Well, he isn't the most charming of-"
"Beat it, Lazar!" Raiden snapped getting a shocked yelp from Leo.
Luna watched in awe as a white and blue aura emanated from Raiden's body. In a sudden moment, she saw his face morph into that of the White Dragon. She gasped and began to back away but Yusei put a hand on Raiden's shoulder and the aura faded.
"You did the right thing." Yusei assured.
"The right thing would've been putting those creeps in their place." Raiden grunted before he sighed. Looking down he saw Luna holding her arm, "What's up, Luna?"
"Whenever that girl looks at me I feel weird." She answered.
Raiden and Yusei met the eyes of each other in grim silence. Raiden then smiled and patted her head, "Come on, wish Yusei luck so we can get back in time for the duel."
Luna shrank away from his touch, "Good luck Yusei." She said before scurrying away.
"Hey, Luna!" Leo called after her, "Kick butt, Yusei." He quickly said before running after his sister.
"What was that about?" The taller teen asked.
Raiden shrugged, "Kids are weird." He turned to face Yusei, "Duel your hardest out there Yusei." He said sincerely, "I'll be rooting for you."
His smirk dropped as he made his way through the hallways. When he threatened Divine he meant it. If there's one thing he is it's a man of his word. He's going to bring both Goodwin and Divine down on their knees and kick them out of his city.
He'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Entering his private office in the stadium he closed the door and activated his safe room protocol. The door sealed, windows dimmed, and blue screens appeared around him. Each screen had a live feed of each security camera. He can see every room in the stadium.
"Find Akiza." Hr ordered and all the screens began to rotate around him.
Red flashed on every screen meaning that Akiza wasn't in the stadium. Raiden hummed in deep thought before he had an idea. Flipping the screens he stopped them when he came upon the parking lot security footage. He smirked when he saw the RV with the logo of the Arcadia Movement.
"Send a Spy Fly." He ordered as a holographic image of a robotic fly appeared before him.
Spy Flies are miniature spy drones that resemble insects. Raiden invented them to spy on people he's decided were trustworthy. He's sent many of them across the city to spy on his enemies and he's even sent a few to the Satellite.
"Now I'll know every single thing the Arcadia Movement is up to." He smirked facing the screen showing Divine, "Your days are numbered, Divine." Raiden said feeling something build up inside him, something ferocious, "And then you're next Goodwin."
Raiden felt an ache in his head before he took a deep breath. After a few more deep breaths the headache faded. This tournament is enraging the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. More precisely the people behind the scenes are.
"I have to get back to Atem." He muttered, "Deactivate failsafe. Password: Dragon03." He said aloud as the steel doors and walls slid open.
"So these signers are Yusei, Jack, Luna, and Akiza?" Atem asked aloud and Raiden nodded, "And Goodwin wants them together to wake a Crimson Dragon?"
"That's it yeah. I'm already using the Kaiba Network to find anything on this Crimson Dragon." Raiden nodded, "And Divine is manipulating Akiza."
"And who's Divine?" Atem asked munching on chips.
"Leader of an organization called the Arcadia Movement." He replied nonchalantly, "It's entirely made up by psychic duelists like Akiza."
"Damn sounds like they're tough." Atem replied before the entire stadium shook.
The two duelists rushed into the box to find Stardust Dragon facing off against Black Rose Dragon. If it weren't for the railing Raided would've fallen over the edge. The sight of the two dragons facing off caused intense pain to surge throughout his body. Raiden doubled over and yelped.
Atem was immediately at his side, "What's happening?"
Raiden looked up revealing the eye of Anubis shining on his forehead, "The dragon feels threatened." He gasped as his eyes shined blue.
"This discussion is over." Akiza's voice echoed through the stadium, "I activate Black Rose Dragon's special ability!" She declares as a strong gust of wind engulfs the stadium blowing Black Rose Dragon's petals over everyone's heads, "All of your cards are destroyed along with this stadium!"
"I won't let you do this!" Yusei declared, "I use my dragon's special ability! I'll sacrifice him to stop this destruction!"
Stardust Dragon spreads its wings before it charged Black Rose Dragon. The two collided and Stardust Dragon curled its wings around the opposing dragon. Black Rose Dragon replied by whipping Stardust with its thorny vines.
"Stop this Akiza, it's over!" Yusei announced, "The dragon inside wasn't meant to destroy!"
Eventually, the power struggle ended and the two dragons were destroyed, "She's gone, Black Rose Dragon's gone." Akiza said in despair, "But that doesn't mean we're finished here Yusei! Prevention Star is gone too so that means Amaryllis can now attack but you still have that face down don't you? The question; is will that be enough? You wasted your time trying to save me but now we have to see if you can save yourself!"
Raiden got back to his feet despite the pain, "This is it."
"Let's see if you can beat me!" Akiza challenged.
"I never wanted to beat you I wanted to save you." Yusei replied before he revealed his face down card, "And I intend to with Cosmic Blast."
Both Akiza and Raiden gasped at the sight of the guard. They both knew what this card's ability is and what's coming. History is repeating itself before their very eyes.
"Now because Stardust Dragon left the field you take damage equal to its attack points!" Yusei declared as Stardust appeared behind him, "You would've seen it coming if you weren't hiding behinds that mask."
"That's the card Raiden used to beat me." Akiza muttered, "I've lost."
Raiden smirked, "Maybe he is a decent duelist."
Stardust Dragon shattered into nothing breaking Akiza's mask and reducing her life points to zero. Stumbling back Akiza looked up revealing her tears, "That's right the Black Rose is crying."
Yusei stepped forward, "Akiza-"
"Is none of your concern." Divine spoke as he entered the field, "I think you've done enough damage today Mr. Fudo." He said he putting his coat over Akiza, "Akiza is coming home with me. It's ok you tried."
Raiden watched as he saw Yusei's arm glow red, "I'm going to see Goodwin." He declared whipping around before a screen appeared showing Yuri, "Yuri, what is it?"
"We found the satellites in the container like you asked sir." He informed, "What would you have us do with them?"
"Just let them go." He ordered, "Get back here as quickly as possible." The screen faded away before he continued on his way.
"Goodwin you're mine." He growled.
