Chapter 16, enjoy! Thanks for all the views/faves/reviews/follows, I appreciate it all!

Thursday, October 28th

(Julie is 14 weeks pregnant)

It was the day before the first round of regional playoffs. The Panther's had easily made it past the Area playoffs with a huge win. It was also the weekend of Halloween, and Eric had scored some tickets to a concert of Tami's favorite band. His plan was for Julie to pack a bag for her mom, and after the game on Friday they would head off to Austin for the concert on Saturday.

"Your going to get your mom's bag packed before tomorrow, right?" Eric asked, needing confirmation for the fifth time this week. Julie nodded in response. "And your still good staying by yourself all weekend?"

"I was actually wondering if maybe Tim could stay with me?" Julie reluctantly asked. She wasn't sure how her dad would react to this idea. Eric scrunched up his face, and thought hard about the idea.

"Well I guess your already pregnant, so why not." Eric finally caved.

"Dad!" Julie squealed, slightly embarrassed.

"But, behave yourselves. And your mom already told the kids at church we were handing out candy, so you two have to do that Saturday night," Eric added. Julie agreed, and dressed for school. None of her clothes fit these days, so she settled on Tim's football hoodie and a pair of leggings.

"Hey you look better in that hoodie than I do!" Tim complimented after Julie climbed into his truck when he had arrived at school.

"I will take that as a compliment, and it's the only thing that fits these days," Julie responded, cheeks blushing with embarrassment. Nearly everyone knew by now, but Julie was still uncomfortable with displaying her changing body at school. The last couple weeks, she had just wore Tim's hoodies and sweats or leggings. "So, my parents are going to a concert this weekend, and they said you could come stay with me. Would you want to?"

"Yeah, I'd like that," Tim replied sweetly with a smile.

The next day, Julie and Tami rode to the game together. Julie had successfully packed her mom's bag and hid it in the car without her finding out. Tami was still clueless about Eric's plan.

This game was a nail biter. It wasn't supposed to be, but it was. JD had been misreading the field all night, and was constantly throwing passes that were either dropped or intercepted.

"This game is startin' to scare me Jules. This was supposed to be an easy win," Tami confessed to her daughter after JD had thrown another pass into the arms of the opposing team. Her mom was right, the boys had all been hyped up saying that they could easily win this game. She was really hoping that they could turn this game around and make their dreams of state come true. After halftime, the boys made an adjustment and came back from being behind by 14 points to winning by 3 at the end of the game. This was an away game, that just happened to be 30 minutes close to Austin than Dillon, so Eric and Tami would leave from here.

"Good job hun, I'll see you at the house," Tami congratulated Eric with a hug as the team left the field house after the game.

"Actually, I got tickets to that concert you wanted to go to. We're going to leave from here and take your car," Eric said announcing his plan.

"Your kidding, aren't you?" Tami questioned. Eric shook his head to deny it, causing Tami to squeal and hug him great big, excited for the weekend. "Well how's Jules gonna get home?" Eric and Julie had already talked about this, and she was given the choice between riding the bus home or riding with Billy. She chose to ride the bus, after her father okayed it with the other coaches.

"She's going to ride the bus home," Eric responded, proving to Tami that he had had this planned for a while.

"Well it sounds like we're going to Austin!" Tami stated with enthusiasm, hugging her daughter and telling her goodbye.

Julie boarded the bus that was already filled with football players. She spotted Tim and the open spot beside him that he had promised her. She sat down beside him snuggling up against the soft material of his letterman jacket. Before they were even on the highway, Julie had fallen asleep against Tim. About thirty minutes later, the bus pulled into the parking lot of Hermann field, where the parents of players unable to drive and the vehicles of the players able to drive were waiting. Tim gently woke Julie up, and the got off the bus headed towards his pickup. Tim drove up to the Taylor house parking in the spot Coach always does. The young couple entered the house, and changed into their pjs. Julie passed out on her bed, and Tim climbed in next to her.

And that's chapter 16! Let me know what you think, I really hope you enjoyed! This chapter is really just setting up for the next chapter or two that will be heavy on the Tulie and baby Riggins.
