League.
Inari wakes up in the void again. She glances around for a moment before flinching back when a bright flash blinds her. Fuck, is this–nine bright lights surround Inari, shining in different colors. Each one slowly gets snuffed out until the eighth and ninth ones were left.
She grunts when she is sucked into another scene. The bar. Inari sees a red chair with a harness and a locked bird cage sitting on top.
The scene changes to a thick forest. It was night, yet the sky burned bright blue. Incredibly low clouds of pinkish purple lazily roll by, skimming the treetops.
Inari's back in the stadium. She sees a destroyed arena covered in debris, ice, and dust. There's a huge crevice–Holy fuck–on the far left wall of the stadium.
Red fills her vision again. She's gasps loudly, taking a step back from an obscure figure laying in a pool of blood. A blood covered–silver–sticking out from the figure's back.
Inari tries to gasp for breath, instinctively sitting up. A hand roughly pushes her back to the ground, making her freak out.
"Where am I? What happened? The kids. Kids! Where're the kids?" She coughs loudly, not able to get any air in her lungs. Blood fills her mouth and makes her choke.
"–her side. Quickly!" She hears someone's shout before she's turned on her side. Blood splatters out of her mouth, throat slowly becoming clear.
"–ne, Ine, can you hear me? It's Momiji," Momiji's voice echoes in Inari's head, making her blink her eyes open. Everything was blurry, but she could see Momiji sitting over her with worried eyes.
"M-Moji–the–where're the kids?" She manages to say before coughing loudly. She groans in pain when her chest starts stabbing in pain.
"They're fine. Worry about yourself." Momiji runs a hand through Inari's hair. "The ambulance is almost here. Stay awake a little longer."
"The–The villains–"
"All of them are apprehended or–"
"No," Inari interrupts before coughing again.
"She's losing too much blood. Where is the ambulance?" Recovery Girl shouts loudly at the entrance. Inari blinks rapidly and tries to sit up.
"Himura Inari, stop!" Momiji exclaims, trying and failing to keep the white haired woman on the ground.
"Ine, you need to lay on your side," Eraserhead says. Inari realizes he was the one to move her on her side. She shakes her head and tries to grab his arm, but a sharp pain moves through her arms. Broken, right.
"Villains–the villains–they're a league–you've gotta–" Inari starts coughing again, blood splattering out of her mouth.
Momiji gently pulls her older sister towards her and lays her on her lap. Inari cries out in pain at the movement, trying to get away.
"I know, I know it hurts Inari, but you need to hold on for just a little longer. The ambulance is almost here," She says gently, running a hand through Inari's hair. Inari turns her head and coughs up more blood, stars filling her eyesight from the pain in her chest.
"When you're stable, I'm going to fucking kick your ass. I knew you were going to do something stupidly selfless," Momiji says, trying to keep her tears from falling. "You're so lucky Daki ain't here." The white haired woman laughs breathlessly.
"You kicking–kicking my ass 's better than–than J-Jeanist findin' out," Inari pushes her words out, speech starting to slur.
Momiji rolls her eyes and glances around. She spots the paramedics sprinting over.
"What about Dabi and Himiko?" Inari groans at the names.
"Fuck, they're gonna kill–" Inari suddenly starts coughing again.
Momiji softly shushes her. "The paramedics are here. I'll ride with you back to UA. Stay awake for me."
"And you said you worried internally for me," Inari jokes tiredly. Momiji laughs wetly, giving her sister a playful eye roll.
Inari sighs heavily, closing her eyes for a moment. Noise starts to get muffled in her ears. Just for a bit...
Inari takes a deep breath, eyes opening wide. She hisses in pain at the bright lights and clenches her eyes shut.
"Fuck!" Inari raises her hands to rub her eyes. Pain flares through her fingers once she puts pressure on them. She immediately flinches her hands back, opening her eyes to stare at them.
Small scars and bruises splintered all over her hands, looking like veins. Her arms were wrapped in bandages, small blood spots showing up here and there. A blanket was pulled up to her chest and multiple tubes and wires were stuck to her arms. After inspecting her hands, she notices everything being slightly blurry. Is she–
"You're awake," The familiar dry voice of Shōta startles the white haired woman from her thoughts. She immediately places a hand on her hip, but doesn't feel her pocket knife.
"Shōta. Fuck, you scared me," Inari states with a sigh, relaxing her posture while staring at the blurry man. Shōta walks over and drags a chair before sitting next to her.
He sighs heavily and rubs his face. "How do you feel?"
Inari shrugs, moving her toes. A sudden stiffness starts in her right ankle.
"I'm pretty good. Are the kids okay?" She asks quietly, slowly moving her legs to sit crisscrossed. She assumes Shōta was given her a dry look from his silence.
"They're fine. Only one was injured, by himself." Shōta leans back. "Seeing you being carried, practically bleeding out and partially crushed terrified them though."
"That–that thing. Is it defeated?" Inari asks as she stares at her hands. That thing is a fucking monster.
"Yes, All Might defeated it. The police captured the Nomu, but it's completely unresponsive. You're lucky to be alive, you know."
Inari laughs bitterly at that. "Lucky. No shit Sherlock."
Just like last time. Always the lucky one.
"...how bad were my injuries?" She asks tiredly, glancing up and spotting Shōta's hesitance immediately. "Don't you dare sugar-coat it. I want to know."
"The Nomu had completely crushed your left arm and snapped the other in half. You're left leg was crushed as well, you had severe trauma to the head, and a couple of broken ribs–one puncturing your lung. That man's Quirk is a disintegrating-type, which completely disintegrated your entire ankle to the muscle. Due to some of the head trauma, your eyes were damaged. Recovery Girl tried her best, but you'll likely be needing glasses for the rest of your life," Shōta explains blankly. Inari lets out a breath in shock, gently touching under her eye.
"Himura Inari!" Hodaka screeches loudly when he sprints into the room. Inari lets out a scream and throws the closest thing to her at her little brother. A glass of water smashes into the 15 year old's face and shatters from the force.
Inari places a hand over her heart while Hodaka falls to the ground with a groan. "You fucker. You're lucky that I just woke up or I'd smack up upside the head!"
Momiji, Best Jeanist, Recovery Girl, the rest of the UA staff, and Nezu race in at the shout. They stop when the see Inari scolding Hodaka, Shōta covering his mouth in an attempt to keep himself from laughing, and Hodaka laying in a puddle of water and glass shards.
"I see that you can move your arms just fine, Ine-san," Recovery Girl comments with an amused smile. Inari huffs and gives her little brother a glare.
"Thank my brother for that." Hodaka just stays on the ground, rubbing his face to try and get rid of the pain.
Momiji rolls her eyes. "I told you, you should've waited for Eraserhead-san to come back out and tell us she was awake."
"Oh, shut it. You were seconds away from doing the same thing!"
Yo! Hope you like the new chapter. Bye!
