Left me covered in scars all over me. All that's left of what's ours all over me, took your keys left your things bitter sweet memories. By Yanga
Chapter Seven
Hinata's POV
No one acquires any thrill from starting a conflict or having any disagreement with a potential client or family of one. But here she was seating with a stubborn Uchiha. She gazed up at him with uncharitable opal eye's. lavender met obsidian. She placed her hand below her chin, resting her elbow on her knee. She exchanged carbon dioxide with oxygen by releasing a soft sigh.
An opened window in the quilt room allowed for a steady breeze to blow hair softly, resulting in half her pale face being covered by raven lock. With one swift motion of her hand, she placed her hair behind her ear. Should she answer this man infront of her or leave him guessing?
"Hinata..." His muttered voice expressed longing and curiosity. Guess it wasn't her choice now. A famishing silence surrounded the room once more.
"I'm here to exchange observations on your father's case. How many time's do you want me to repeat this statement?" Her voice sounded ever so alluring.
" Your father unfortunately thought it would be a great idea to surround himself with... how should I put this?... not the best choice in friends." She stated with a tinny smirk forming on the upper side of her lip.
The confusion on the young Uchiha's face shocked her. Was he honestly not aware of his own fathers arrest? She guessed they didn't keep in touch. She anticipated his next question.
" His in prison?" Not once did he sound upset at the sudden news and she didn't voice her opinion.
"Yes." Better not question how he had no acknowledgement of this. Don't want to get into an unprofessional conversation.
" When?" Is this concern she detected?
" About a month ago... well atleast that's what I've been informed of."
"Oh..."
"Oh?"
"Yeah 'oh'. Am I suppose to say something else?"
"I guess no. I just expected a lot more emotion. Some tears I guess. I mean... no one informed you about this... doesn't that seem unfair?"
"Not the first time I've been left in that dark about something but you know what this reminds me of?"
Was she supposed to answer? so much for not starting a conversation."What?" She said with little to no enthusiasm.
"You leaving town without informing anyone."
Ignore.
"He was discovered traveling in a car filled with drugs and a few kidnapped children." Ignoring him never felt more effortless. "The drugs I get but why the children? does your father sleep with underage children now. Should I be concerned?"
It wasn't a deeply guarded secret that the older Uchiha occupied his time with criminalise and his infidelity ever so growing, showed how little he thought about his wife. Couldn't keep his pants on. She remembered the days when Sasuke was more zombie than human, his body moving around without a soul. For days on end. She often called him 'Shadow' on side days.
You would often catch glances of his mother Mikoto continuously wiping the pained tears that flowed down her pale face. She wondered why Mikoto didn't just acquire a divorce? kill the problem before it destroys you. Seemed simple enough. She cared for the older woman deeply. She reminded her of her sweet, innocent mother and that's why she often visited the Uchiha household.
Not for Sasuke but for the little warmth his mother was embraced in but that little warmth lost it flare. So she continued coming back, trying to bring back Mikoto's spark and being selfish enough to want to be the only one the woman smiled at.
But like her mother, Mikoto turned out to be a disappointment. How cruel... so much trying for nothing.
Her mother lost her spark, joy and the will to carry on living. The days she spent walking towards her mother's room, carrying depression pills are not forgotten. Her mother spent weeks inside the closed room, refusing to eat, drink or cleanse her body from the filth that embraced her and not once letting her in.
When her mother finally gendered enough courage to asked her fath- Hiashi about the strumpet he kept hidden beneath his dirty laundry. He had the audacity to calmly respond with a "Yes I am having an affair."
Respect destroyed...
Now she was awaiting her mother's reaction to all this. For her to go grap some form of weapon and murder her father. Oh and God she would never snitch. The pleasant vivid imagine of Hiashi begging for forgiveness never came.
Her mother just broke down crying, asking Hiashi why he wasn't affected by his own words and asking how she was supposed to react. He never did answer her. Left her there weeping on her knees. Her mother was broken beyond repair. No matter what she did or said to her mother never seemed to be improving her state of mind.
Everything after a few months went back to normal. No one muttering what happened a few months ago. Her mother became pregnant again but this time the pregnancy was successful. She gave birth to a beautiful little girl named Hanabi. Her mother committed suicide after finding out that Hiashi was still cheating... the woman didn't leave her before giving her unrequited advice," Don't expect the word to be fair."
And then she was dead. How pathetic.
At first she blamed herself. Second she expressed vivid emotions towards Hiashi. His uncaring facial expressions about her mother's death. Third she wanted to be like her father... not caring appeared fun. So she did everything in her power to make this man proud to call her his daughter and gaze at her with pride.
"Mother was weak and I'm not like her."
Hiashi was hard to please, maybe it was because he was the definition of a "prideful man" she didn't know. She never saw any redflags at his demeanour or actions towards anything and from a very young age she knew the type of demeanour Hiashi had. The type of personalities he showed when he was around people and the one he only expressed when he was at home. The dark side is what she adored and feared.
Ever the conservative person Hiashi was, Hianata wondered how he felt about her disappearing and reappearing, with a woman no less and being in a relationship with said woman."Hope you're watching mother. Wouldn't want you to miss the show. Cheer for me won't ya." Her smirk should be licit.
Lavender eye's wondered up the neutral man. Wearing all black. The young Uchiha stood tall with pride. Lavender met wildly lumicus black eyes, slowly gripping her knees she opened her mouth to ask the raven haired man if he had any knowledge on someone who might pose a threat to his father's case. But now she seriously doubted that he had any knowledge of possibly anything but she had to try. A eloquent voice made her lips melt back together.
With a grim marrying her lips, she awaited the following conversation. " I for one do not involve myself in that mans life. You should know better then to ask about him."
"Well I thought all the fighting dwindled or just evaporated after Itachi left the family business. I guess not."
"How do you even know that? it happened after you left."
"The fact that I left means nothing compared to my enthusiasm to know every last move my dear community makes. Don't doubt a woman with a path."
"I'm not... just doesn't seem fair for only you to know so much about us and us not know a thing about you." He paused before talking, "Well I heard you're a lawyer now, even though it gives it away judging from our conversation."
"Poor you never finding out things so eary." Try belittling him. Make him stop talking. His gonna find out. Get out of here. Protect him...
"Can we get back on track? I've got places to be."
"You came here to talk Hinata so let's talk" His voice being the only thing that echoed through the office.
"I came here to discuss your father not whatever your insinuating." Stay clam.
"Oh fuck him. That man could rot in hell, no one would care and you know the reason for your appearance in my office."
"Reason! oh tell me the reason Sasuke enlighten me...won't ya!" Stop showing emotion. You're risking him.
"H-Hinata.
"That's Miss Hyuga to you and stop changing the subject, what's my other reason for returning? or in your case dropping by?"
He knows
Was she showing any form of emotion? No she wasn't showing enough but her throat tattletaled on her. "Lost your voice Uchiha?"
"I'm your friend Hinata. I'm not trying to be difficult or anything. I was just always concerned about your whereabouts. You just left without informing anyone... I worried."
What his not worried about you. It's just pity... maybe he knows?
'You're not my mother Uchiha say that'
"You're not my mother Uchiha"
"If I were I would be disappoint in what my daughter turned out into."
His comment felt like a ordance and left her body in a state of incapacitation. His comment left her completely emaciated and those emotions mixed with rage spoke up.
"Fuck you."
Indolence lavender orbs continued to stare. Was the comment or the person infront of her applying to be her nemesis? She was halfly impressed that her 'family' kept her secret from sinful mouths. She gazed at him as if he were pellucid, as if she could read and analysis any secret he possessed.
Sasuke shifted his gaze from her. Obviously uncomfortable with her intense gaze. Bold turned to benevolent. Her eyes held more feeling then it did the past few minutes. She could not allow herself to be easily apoplectic. A malaise feeling started sinking in at her following thoughts.
Could she actually keep herself from breaking down? From remembering how horrendously she viewed her own mother? From flashing back to that day... and then she went completely blanch.
"Uchiha may I reminded you that my personal life should not ever see the light of day from your filthy mouth." A bullish way to put it but it had to send a message across to his brain, if it still functioned that is. End this conversation before it re-erect itself.
Too many people where going to question her about her disappearance, she didn't have the energy for that and much less with anyone here. Right now she had to think about her sister, Hiashi and Kin but nothing keep lingering more then 'Him'.
Far more bitter things then the Uchiha.
She stood up from her seat and strolled towards the Uchiha. Scared him it seemed. Perplexed eye's stared back at her. The younger Uchiha's brows furrowed with more bewilderment at the Hyuga's continues strolling, with a unconcerned face. One could say she looked unsympathetic and pitiless. She could see that he was perturbed by her instantaneous boldness. Not the Hinata he was used to.
She continued to walk until she was only a few feet away from him.'How large did his office have to be?' she thought while continuing to stroll towards him.
Her steps became more indolence with the closer she got. The space between them slowly becoming non-existent. Now she was closer to him then she has been the past few years, emotionally and physically.
The dazed look on his face agitated her to no end. She stopped walking and gazed at him. With a smirk on her face she peered intently at him. Searching for evidence that might prove to her how honest and trustworthy he was...She also searched for any sign that might show that he knew the truth about her disappearance.
She found nothing.
She wasn't sure how misleading his eyes could get because the information she acquired from them appeared deceiving. Truth be told lies never felt so dirty.
Call it years of not trusting anyone but she could not shake away the feeling that he might be hiding something from her or he was just plain complex. How fascinating did ones eyes get?
"How's Mikoto?" She asked trying to shake away the conversation from her."Is she still married to your father?" She knew the answer to that question but she just wanted to hurt him for almost bring back the anguish of the past. She spent four years vanquishing that man and those moments he spent inside of her. She burned those memories but those ashes were forming a vivid imagine again.
Why was her heart racing?
'God don't let me remember that day?' she wasn't emaciated anymore but she also didn't want to let that thought linger anymore.
She stood. She felt dizzy. The only way to make the ground stop moving was to close her eyes and grip the trashcan. She pushed up and tried to walk...She fell instantly. The ground rushed up to met her before she moved a foot. No harm done...right? She lost consciousness again for the third time tonight. It rained during the night but she didn't know when it started.
"She's fine and still married to him, we both know that and please stop avoiding the situation Hinata...Please." he pleaded with her.
"Like before I said my personal business is not yours."
"It's hilarious how our friendship means nothing to you now. I hope whatever happened to you did not change the woman you once were Hinata because...honestly this Hinata is not longer an innocent angel.
"Now you're communicating in my language. I'm a freaking deity your highness. I'm not going to be a fucking shadow anymore, constantly fearing the sun or night and if you can't accept me now, you weren't no friend of mine." She sighed before talking again."Now back to the conversation in hand."
"You know I'm not going to just accept defeat and let this go right? no matter what you say, I'm your friend and I still care." he continued to babble incoherently.
"So your father has about three to four months before he faces the judge. I've only been introduced to this case for a few days now and I haven't gotten any evidence that might prove your father's innocents-"
"Was it because your father punished you again. You were always covering for Hanabi's stupid demeanour." He changed the conversation again. Her eyes dwindled in size showing the amount of intrigue she had for this conversation.
"I might have your mother speak on his behalf to get the judge and the jury to side with him. People always have a soft sport for old-love-bird's." Hinata ignored him and continued talking about his father. What type of child is not interested about the wellbeing of they relative.
"Did he disrespected your mother again? Did Hiashi call you weak? I never understood why you always made yourself appear weak just to make sure nothing happened to your sister? Why didn't you be selfish for once?" He babbled on.
"I should also make sure non of fugaku strumpet come in contact with the case, their might say they went with him to the warehouses and saw the drugs or children there and I don't want that. It would destroy the case. I have to make show that your mother doesn't do anything that might ruin the case either."
Sasuke spoke again trying to restrieve what little information she held captive and not willing to let go of."Was it because Naruto continued to choose Sakura instead of you? Did that make you feel like less of a woman?" After he finished speaking finding Hinata gazing up at him. Her eyes looked like a continuous void.
Her vigilant eyes stared the Uchiha down, like an alert mother staring down on a child before punishing them. Never has she thought he would say that to her. To say she was shock would be the understand of the year. She was in a state of profound shock.
Bullishfulness took over her shocked emotion. Hinata was apoplectic with him. This man reminded her of Hiashi, the way he spoke and the way he presented himself. Always trying to manipulate her into his bidding. Always trying to control her life never once thinking about her needs.
Trying to make it seem like he cared! why did she try to please him, even if he was the cause of her mothers death. She remembers hating her mother for being so pathetic. She knew what she involving herself in when she married into the family. Her mind continued to linger on her appearance and how much it was akin to her mother's. She looked weak like her and she hated that.
'I hate you mother.' words she blurted out everyday without even a care in the world.
I'm sorry mother.
She swallowed her anger and described they conversation...well one-sided conversation in detailed form. She carefully lingered on the conversation, letting her grasp all the words he spoke so carelessly sink in her mind and heart.
How she wished she could forget that this conversation ever started or existed...but God was never wanted to bless her with such a wish coming true.
'Come down... Breath in and out...Relax...Come down...Control yourself...Stop showing such foolish emotions...Don't be a disappointment-' Her mind kept reminding her.
Doesn't seem like the constate commands from her mind worked because her stomach continued to magnify the little emotions criping in. They felt alien.
"Mr Uzumaki has nothing to do with our conversation. Funny how every conversation I've ever engaged in with you revolves around him. You like him I presume?" She smirked when his face eradicated it coloure."I remember hearing stories about the two of you engaging in quite the intriguing physically contact... hugging? no it's not that...Oh now I remember."
She paused and her smirk grow."You kissed him. Well it can't be that you've slept with too many of your female groupies to have be hiding such a secret or was it all just for show?" No matter how far from the truth she knew she was, this was just too entertaining.
This felt good.
"Are you perhaps bisexual? trust me no judgement here. Look where I am myself, sleeping with a poor woman for fun and now I finally understand why your cock was always inside a whore at all times but now your thinking about taking it from the back...How intriguing and trust me anal is very enjoyable." She walked pass him towards the door. Her hand griped the doorknob and then her upper body faced him.
He looked disgusted. How childish.
"Oh and next time you try to involve yourself in my personal life...trust me...I'll make you regret it. Faster than you'll regret what you did to me." Bright teeth made themselves known when she grinned. Berserk. Some who did not know her true intentions might say she appeared bonkers.
But she did have a radiant smile non could lie.
"Now go back to planing your father's death so you can take his bequest and bequeath me with a share won't ya?" Her grin vanished from her lips leaving no evidence to say it exposed itself."Bye my love."
She closed the door after she exited. The only the sound that was left in the Uchiha's office was the echoing of the door connecting with the wall. She left the Sasuke there standing and trying to comprehend whatever happened.
Hinata always did that whenever something personal got brought up, she would rotate it original path into her weirdness, trying to escape the questions. The last time someone tried to dig into her past she turned the conversation into her commenting about the type of tools she used on her panther in order for them to orgasm.
To cut it short the client ended up asking the name of her panther. Now she had to work with an old pervert.
Sigh
Her mind lingered from a ridiculous memory to that horrid night again. It sometimes amazed her how bipolar she was, always easily switching her emotions as if there where controlled by a remote.
But honestly did Sasuke have to remind her about that time. Send her back in time alone and scared. Couldn't once in her miserable like people take a hint and leave her be? Hiashi, Neji, Sasuke and Naruto were all going to make her stay the more unpleasant.
How she wished her mother was still alive. If her mother were still alive, she would hold her, kiss her bruises away and mutter very softly that "tomorrow brings more elated scenes and all she had to do was keep moving forward." The female Hyuga's heart rate intensified when she spoke those words. She often wondered how she acquired such strength from such a emaciated lady.
'I guess it is true that the weakest people are the ones that have gone through a lot.
Ring...Ring...Ring
The sound of her phone ringing broke her free from her thoughts. She opened her purse before searching for her phone. When she finally found it, the phone already stopped it annoying ringing. Now she had to call the person.
The bright flash of the phone showed the person that contacted her. One new missed call from 'Sperm donor' written in bold made her regret speed dialing the number again. She unlocked her phone because phoning.
It did not even ring for more than few seconds before the owner of the phone answered. "Mr Hyuga." She stated calmly.
"Hinata." His voice sounded dry and filled with concern albeit she did not care.
A few moment without an exchange of words, find the phones with nothing but heavy breaths. "Why did you call me?" She question annoyed by his silents.
"Oh...Umh...Hanabi was just asking when-"
She interrupted him."Let me speak to her 'cause I assume your with her and we'll talk later about how you acquired my phone number." Sigh "Give her the phone."
A few moments went by without a word. Steps began to echo through the phone indicating movement on the other end. Soft whisper's were heard but carefully interrupted by some shouting, she assumed was Hanabi and here she through you always had to be quiet when inside a hospital.
Hurry...Hurry
Hanabi's voice formed a grin on her wrinkle less face. How she missed that over-the-top voice. The voice was no longer childlike but charming and feminine. It's been so long since she's heard the mischievous voice. Everything just seemed to get it colour back, funny how something so simple could affect her so greatly.
Don't get her wrong, she's stayed in touch with her sister, sent letters but did not receive anything back because she never putted a return address. So what she means is that it was a one-sided conversation for years.
But she always made sure to keep a close eye on Hanabi and even if it meant stalking her. She sent gift and money for when Hanabi would need to move out from the Hyuga household. Or should she call it prison?
She was often informed that the money was left untouched and that never shocked her, Hanabi was always a daddy's girl and it's not like she had any right to judge.
"Hello." It sounded more like a whisper than anything else.
"Hello my little firecracker." Something started clouding her eyes.
"Hinata?" It sounded more like a statement than a question and why it's sounded so forced broke her."Why aren't you here yet?" Now Hinata felt something roll down her cheek leaving it slightly itchy. "Why weren't you here all these past years?"
Ouch
Why was she suddenly sweating? it wasn't that warm that her sweat glands might need to excrete sweat. Her throat turned into a dessert. She swallowed some saliva but to no aid.
"Hanabi I'm on my way to hospital, so no need to stress yourself and I'll take care of everything." Hinata commented completely avoiding the second question. "I have someone i would very much like you to get acquainted with. She may come out as annoying at first but she means well." She could only wish she still had a chance to be a sister again.
After all she left without telling Hanabi what happened to her.
"You left me alone here...YOU LEFT WITHOUT ME!" The younger daughter shoutedthrough the speaker. Hinata had to remove her ear from the phone before Hanabi damaged her eardrum."You left w-w-ithout me... you promised you wouldn't leave me b-but y-y-you lied." she still continued murmuring the words while she choked on her own saliva while crying.
An growing aching feeling overpowered her stomach and slowly started spreading forwards her heart. She felt bad for leaving Hanabi but she couldn't take care of her while homeless. And she couldn't feel bad about leaving. She needed a fresh new start.
"Hinata it doesn't feel as satisfying shouting at you without seeing your facial expression. So you better hurry up here."
With one hand placed between her bosom, carefully trying to calm her beating heart. This was never healthy for her health. The other hand holding the once cold cell phone against her face. She hope her 'dear father' did not manipulate Hanabi against her. I would end up losing her more.
"On my way little firecrack-" Did Hanabi just hang up on her? She was both amused and hurt by her crudness. She moved her phone from her ear towards her gaze and stared intensely at it, wondering why the younger Hyuga was so rude and if it all connected her disappearance.
'Did she sicken her own sister? 'The thought left a bitter taste on her mouth. She was responsible for the attitude she was receiving from Hanabi albeit it wasn't her fault for departing. She just couldn't be in the same area as that rapist. The thought of the man brought back unpleasant feelings. Hanabi's cavalier attitude will be dealt with later.
Would Hanabi's behavior continue throughout her stay? She hoped not. Maybe her father got into that little head of hers and manipulated any positive emotions Hanabi felt for her into pure hatred? Her mind started going amok over ever scenario the mind present itself.
Was she about to lose someone else again? would she survive this one? would she return to that dark alleyway, reaching for another source of comfort and eventually finding it in that pure white substance?
It helped a lot. She forget a lot in those blissful hours and then she felt crepy the following day. Most days she would go without eating or drink and just consum those drugs. Help her forget her troubles and sorrows, help her forget his loud groans and soft moans and help her forget that white produce that entered her body.
His face was forever a mystery to her but sometimes he was real but without a face. Her eidetic memory became a minor plot point in actually touching the mystery man. He also appeared nude and why he was always chotheless was becoming more disturbing. Was this a way for her body saying she enjoyed what happened to her? No...every moment he spent inside her left her sickened.
How she even remembers most of this was weird because she was halfly unconscious throughout the night. It was her fault for not being strong enough to defend herself. What was the constant training for? to be easly undone by a man she assumed had no prior training, so she does deserve what perspired and she had no right to be enraged.
She had no right to ask God" why he through so many challenges at her and expected her to outcome them with a grin plastered on her face? Why she had to be the only one who sacrificed so much for so little? Why everyone expected her to just get over what happened as if it were as simple as drinking water? and why she couldn't get a chance to murder that waste of air?"
God chooses those he knows will be able to overcome what he has set for but here he chose the wrong person. She didn't have a stable mind scape to be able to forgive whoever did to her and she would make sure his entire existence revolved around the that night.
She would make sure he goes to prison and would be continuously raped every night, every hour and every second of every day. Let him have sleepless nights like her. Let him wake up scared of those people breaking him and having they way with him. Waking up socked in sweat and trembling in fear. Having very vivid nightmares of side rapist and crying yourself back to sleep.
Promising yourself that tomorrow will be better but it never is.
She began to wait. Her thoughts swung wildly. She was either fixed on the practical vivid details of the rape, the immediate survival or transfixed by pain in her lower region, weeping silently, her mouth open and hands holding her head. She just came to the conclusion...she was forever broken. No one could mold her back together...no matter how hard one might try. She needed her father's comfort right now.
Truth be told she hasn't survived yet but the thought of her rapist this being out there rubbed her the wrong way. Was he still raping other innocent woman. Stealing they innocences without even a second thought. Stealing the very thing they held most precious to them and leaving without apologizing?
This wasn't a one night stand, where you would always be awaiting the break of dawn for the particular person to eradicate themselves from your apartment and where you just got sex without consent. This was him pushing himself inside of her and orgasming without the slightest care of the outcome it might bring.
This was her lying there unconscious while he continues to please himself. This was the reason why prostitutes existed, for them to pay for sex and not just take it. Porn was still available as well, so many forms of self pleasure but this person chose to satisfy himself with a girl screaming no or unconscious.
He made her feel inutile and how she requested for the weak feeling to evaporate. She wasn't eloquent than but things changed and for the better. Now she would kill a man without a second thought and she adored this new demeanour of hers.
Steps could be heard approaching her. Not paying much mind to her surroundings, she bumped into someone. The body wasn't as stiff as she imagined it would be. The poor man was wearing a bright coloured shirt in such an exclusive building. 'Maybe he was a friend of Sasuke's?' as fast as that thought entered her mind she regretted it. There was only one person in the world who did not have any sense of fashion.
Naruto...
Naruto's POV
He stared and she stared right back. Ocean blue and lavender orbs gazed at each other, continuously in a staring contest. Who would win? only they knew. Aleast Naruto's eyes gave out first. Unable to match the intense gaze, he moved his head facing towards the plain wall that suddenly grow interesting. He sighed...this was just awkward.
His shy demeanour only appeared once every solor eclipse. His heart frantic, his brain busy scrambling to catch up with the situation. Hinata was standing right infront of him again.
Talk ... Talk... please say something.
He was just lost but she was gazing directly at him, so he couldn't be lost and now he needed desperately to say something before she evaporated into thin air again...but he couldn't, he felt as if he were inside a courtroom waiting for the jury to come out with they judgement. Innocent or guilty?
'I'm innocent right?' he could only hope at this freaking point.
So he took a big breath to calm his nerves. He would make most from her hesitate state by allowing his eyes to wonder over her. She appeared the same from the last time he gazed upon her, so akin that it made his heart squeeze and made it hard to swallow, her pale skin looked smooth to the touch.
Well he hoped his dreams did not deceive him there. The young Hyuga wasn't this pale the last seven years ago by she sure did grow out of her awkward persona. Her midnight silky hair flowed in waves down her shoulders. The way her clothes clinged so perfectly to her fully formed curves like a second skin, making it impossible not to imagine the dainty lady underdressed.
She looked sinfully sexy and like everything he wanted by couldn't have. He wanted her.
He blurted the words out before thinking "I'm sorry." He wasn't sure why he suddenly apologized but it seemed appropriate. What did it even mean? He just knew he should've said more. He did not desire for this moment to pass by but he did hurt her by not showing up those seven years ago. Even though he did not understand why she hindered so much hatred for a silly mistake.
But there was nothing he could ever say to justify why he did not show up and how much he regrets his decision.
Her eyes sharp, an eyebrow quirked in acknowledgement of his awkward confession and behaviour. She took her precious time, eyes darkening and locking onto his until his was worried that she wasn't going to respond at all to his apology. Okay he did deserve that much but throw a guy a bone.
When she finally does bless him with hearing her voice, it's not what he wanted to hear and it's nothing like how he remembers it.
"You don't even know what you are apologizing for. Do you understand the capacity of what happened? "
She pressed her lips together, as icey shield forming to protect her from the outside surroundings, that looked so alien on her naturally warm face. He sucked in a sharp breath as if that would make her words sting less.
"How am I supposed to know if you won't tell me what happened?"
"Because you don't deserve to know." With that comment said, she strolled pass him into the elevator and walked inside before the two doors closed right after her.
Whatever occurred that mysterious night sure as hell ruined his chances with Hinata and he would do anything in his power to uncover the secret and sincerely apologize to Hinata but run now a certain Uchiha had to answer some questions.
Hanabi's POV
The white walls were started to get old and dirty. The constant smell of medicine was starting to intoxicate her and slowly want...needing her to search for the source of that aroma and consum it. As horrible as it sounded, the thought of those pills entering her body left her in bliss.
She needed a distraction from the illness that overtook her body and continued to spread, as if it hasn't gotten it fill from what it already consumed. The lingering thought of faking an injury never once left her mind, she would be able to acquire pain medicines and escape the world for a few needed moments.
Did not once read the outcomes of taking drugs, that didn't sound so amusing and she would only use them when it became to had to survive.
When she found out that Hinata was back because of her illness, she wasn't sure whether she should be elated or hurt by only mattering to her sister when her life was on the line. When Hinata left her with their prideful father, she was heart broken to say the least and when she found out the reason she was both sad and happy.
Sad that her sister had no one who would take care of her and that she had to go through so much and have no one there to support her, tell her she wasn't to blame and it wasn't her fault. To embrace all the pain away and to kiss all the tears that were surely gushing down her rosey cheeks.
To hold her when the night appeared to long to overcome, to hug her when she awoke from a nightmare and to hold her hand when she needed some comfort...to just be there.
But she was also happy. No more being compare to her or fighting to get daddy's attention or looking at her and seeing the mother God unjustly stole from her before she got the chance to know her. She would be the center of attention and she drowned in happiness at the thought.
At times she hope Hinata died and that her body would be found next to a dump or river because even in her departure she was still the center of attention and more even. Couldn't she catch a break? Not even once?
And now she was going to be less of a woman. Would they take it out surgically in order for the tumor not to spread or would they cut it all off? Would she be left with only one breast or non at all? That scared her the most, not knowing what would be occurring on her own body and not being able to put a stop to it.
'May people not mock me.' Hanabi pleaded softly. A soft knock interrupted her thoughts. With a simple 'come in' the stranger opened the door and entered silently.
"You look older." That voice made her take her gaze towards the stranger, she halfly expected to see the doctor or nurses but her gaze met the ones of her older sister.
End of chapter
I'm finally done with my exams...well most of them. I have to repeat some because most of them were leaked. I'm not happy. I made Naruto's and Hanabi's interaction with Hinata very short because I still haven't built the characters personalities due to what they may have overcomed and all that. After the next chapter Hinata will not be present that much because those chapters will be all about flashbacks (Not Hinata's) I want to show what happened after her disappearance but I will after I release some much needed secrets, what happened to Hinata and what happened after she left. This chapter was very busy and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Please review.
