The attackers quickly overwhelmed them. There was 10 of them total, Mostly firebenders. Three of them were on Korra. Two were fire and one was earth. One yelled something about them being the reason their friend was dead.
She was holding her own at first. Then the firebenders shot a huge blast at her and when she went to step backwards the earthbender bent the ground up where her injured leg stepped. She let out a small shriek when she felt something in her right leg tear. She fell back and put out her arms to catch herself, forgetting about her broken wrist. She let out another scream as her hand hit the ground with all her weight on it.
Mako heard her scream and started lightning bending while Bolin backed him up with lava bending. Korra tried to get up and defend herself but she barely managed to stand and get out a small blast of fire. Soon Mako and Bolin managed to scare the attackers off. "This isn't over yet, avatar Korra!" One of them yelled as they ran off. Bolin quickly ran to Korra's side. Mako considered chasing after them but looked over at Korra. One look at her and he realized she needed his help more.
When he walked over to her, he found her leaning on Bolin for support, breathing heavily. "You okay, Kor!" He questioned while kneeling down infront of her. All Korra managed was was a weak head shake before Mako decided to pick her up and start back towards the apartment. "What are you doing?" She breathed out in a sharp breathe. "I'm going to the apartment. You can't walk that far." He told her while he kept walking with Bolin following close behind them. Bolin held open the door for them and he headed up the stairs.
Once in the apartment he laid Korra down on the couch while trying to move her as little as possible. She still winced when he sat her down. "Go call Katara, Bolin." He mumbled while turning to his brother. "What?"Bolin said surprised. "Korra's leg and arm need looked at" Mako said while watching Korra writhe in pain on the couch. "Oh yeahhhhh" Bolin said.
He returned only a few minutes later with orders from Katara. He entered the room to find Mako helping Korra sit up to drink some tea. "Katara says to just bring her back in the morning. She needs to elevate and ice her leg and try to not move her hurt arm. Oh and make sure she eats something." He said.
