Here's another one

Recap: Christian called Kate to check on Ana after he wasn't able to contact her. Elliot and Kate go round to Ana's house and find her beaten up. They call Christian who tries to get Ana to go to hospital but she won't go so he calls his mother to come and take a look at Ana. Taylor is sent to go and look for Jack and bring him to the police station for arrest. Christian, Kate and Elliot stay with Ana.

Poison Apple: Chapter 7: Comeback

Ana
It's been 5 days since Jack beat me up and ran away, he must know how much trouble he is in because he hasn't been to work since and no one has heard from him. His phone has been disconnected and his e-mails are being traced, along with his bank but he hasn't come out of hiding yet so no one knows where he is or what he's doing. Of course I'm worried about him coming back but I think he understands what would happen to him if he did and we all know that Jack cares for himself before anyone else so he is very unlikely to show his face around here and check on me.

Kate, Elliot and Christian have been amazing to me the last few days but they were starting to hover and space is what I need right now. I haven't had a moment to myself since Kate and Elliot came over and found me. Christian has cancelled all his meetings and appointments for the next two weeks and has only been to the office once in the past 5 days. When he goes home to change his clothes and such, Kate and Elliot appear and between the three of them they take it in turns to keep an eye on me although it is not necessary.

Christian did try and get me to go with him to his home, which according to Kate is like a fortress, but I declined. I wasn't going to let Jack run me out of my home. I like living here, I love this apartment. It's close to work and the neighbours are kind to me. I've had the locks changed and had a camera system installed at my front door so I can see who is coming and going... all thanks to Christian. He does not play around when it comes to security. I even have my own security detail now; Luke Sawyer is my own personal bodyguard. He sits outside my apartment and watches who comes in and out. Christian wanted him in the apartment at all times but I put my foot down to that idea and so Luke was sent to the car outside.

All of this is crazy to me. I didn't need all of these people around me all the time. Jack has gone and I really doubt he's going to come back and ask for his shirts, it would be really nice if I could have my apartment as mine again without all of these people. I love Kate and Elliot but they are just too much and Christian... I don't even know where to start with him. He just about lets me go to the bathroom by myself. I appreciate that they are concerned and worried about me but I'm ok and I don't need them here 24/7 and even if they weren't here I have Luke outside. When Luke isn't working I get his partner, Carl James so there is always someone watching me.

I think it is time Christian, Kate and Elliot go home and get back to their own lives. You know what, I'm not even going to ask them to go, I am going to tell them they have to go. I want some space and this is my apartment so they have to listen to me. For once I am putting my foot down and making the decisions for myself, I don't care if they don't like it. I need to live my life the way I want and it's not like they can all stay here taking turns keeping guard forever. Christian has a multi-billion dollar company to run, Kate has college and work and Elliot... well Elliot does whatever it is that Elliot does. They need to get back to their own lives and realise that I can take care of myself and with Luke Sawyer outside I'm sure I'll be fine.

Christian was sat on the couch with his laptop on my coffee table, typing away; I'm guessing replying to some emails. He had a cup of coffee sitting to the left of his laptop and a bagel on the right hand side of his laptop, well he has certainly made himself comfortable in my apartment but I think he will be more comfortable in his own office, without distractions and he has so many meetings to reschedule, the world can't stop because I'm going through a bad break up.

"Christian?" I started and but he was so busy typing he didn't hear me "Christian," I said a little louder and he stopped typing to look up at me "I appreciate everything you have done for me the last few days, you have been amazing and I don't know how I could ever repay you for your kindness and your mother's kindness but it is time for you to go back to your life. You have this huge company to run with thousands of staff relying on you and you're drinking all my coffee," I finished.

"You want me to leave?" He asked and he sounded really hurt.

"I want you to go back to your life," I answered "It's been five days and no one has heard from Jack or seen him since he attacked me. He is probably long gone by now, I would be surprised if he was still in the country. You don't need to sit her babysitting me anymore, you can get back to life as you know it and sleep in your own bed... drink your own coffee," I explained.

"Is this because I'm drinking your coffee?" He joked and I couldn't help but laugh "I'm just worried about you and if something happened to you I would never forgive myself," He said.

"Nothing is going to happen to me," I told him "I have Captain America sitting out the front. He's not going to let Jack in even if he does come back, which is very unlikely," I added.

"I'll make you deal," He started and I rolled my eyes "I stay until after dinner and then I'll go," He offered.

"Or, you stay until lunchtime and I allow you to have one more coffee," I smiled.

"Fine," He agreed "But I have conditions," He stated.

"I'd be disappointed if you didn't," I replied.

"Sawyer comes in every hour to check up on you. If you don't answer the door he will force entry in here," I rolled my eyes "If either myself, Kate or Elliot calls, you answer the phone... no matter what and you stop rolling your eyes," I rolled my eyes once more and then laughed at him.

"Ok. I agree to your terms." I agreed and put my hand out for him to shake it, he smiled and shook my hand as she shook his head.

Peace at long last! Although Christian agreed to go after lunch he didn't actually leave until 3:30pm and it was difficult to get him out of the door but finally I got rid of him and I sent a text to Kate telling her that she and Elliot were not to come round and if they did I would not open the door for them and I would get Sawyer to personally remove them, of course I wouldn't actually do that to them but I wanted them to know I was serious and Kate agreed to give me the rest of today but said she would come by tomorrow after work, I could deal with that. I will let her come by after work tomorrow for no more than 2 hours and then I am making her leave.

I know I sound a little childish but since moving here I have never had the chance to be on my own. First I lived with Kate and when Kate moved out, Jack moved straight in and since being with Jack I have no space and no time to myself. I want to enjoy being on my own for a little while, walk around the apartment naked if I want to... I probably won't but I want the choice to be able to if I wanted. I can't actually remember a time when I had the whole place to myself; I don't actually think I have ever stayed a night here on my own. It's going to be weird but exciting.

Of course I won't be completely alone because Captain America is right downstairs in the car, he has been knocking on my door every hour on the dot. I told him that at 10pm I am going to bed, if he dares knock that door after 10pm when I have gone to sleep I am going to do some serious damage to him. I think he got the message. I also sent a message to Christian and told him that I would be going to be at 10pm and he is not to call or text me after that time or I will block his number from my phone... once again, I think he got the message.

I peaked outside the window and saw Cap sitting in his big black SUV. He looked up at the window, noticing the movement and waved at me so I waved back to let him know that everything was fine and I wasn't signalling him for help or anything. I came away from the window and closed the curtains, it was 9:48 meaning in 10 minutes time I wasn't going to hear from anyone until the morning.

I walked into the kitchen to grab myself a drink of water before going to bed and heard the door knock... who the hell could that be at this time of night? I walked to the front door and looked on the screen on the wall to see who was on the camera. I couldn't make out who it was, it was someone in a red sweatshirt with the hood up.

The door knocked again but this time it was harder and louder.

"I need your help, please," A voice said on the other side of the door "My name is James. I live a couple of doors away, number eight." I shouldn't open the door, Christian will be mad. Maybe I could get Sawyer to come up and he can help whoever it is.

I backed away from the door and went to go to the living room where my phone was located when the door banged behind me. I turned to see that the door had been kicked in and Jack came in, he looked in a really bad way.

"It's rude to ignore people," He said.

My phone was just a couple of meters away but Jack was closer. I don't know if I would be able to reach my phone before Jack got to me... how did Sawyer not see him get in? We don't have a back way; there is no other way to get into the building.

"Try and get to your phone," He dared with a smirk playing on his lips.

"What are you doing here Jack?" I questioned.

"I have been waiting to get you on your own," He replied "I came back the day after our disagreement and saw that stupid Kate and her stupid boyfriend Elliot were here. I saw them leave and I was going to take my chance but then guess who turns up, Christian, he has been spending a lot of time here hasn't he," He told me.

"He's been taking care of me since you beat me up," I replied coldly.

"You deserved what you got that night. You cheated on me and then you hit me... do you remember that? You hit me first, I hit you back. If you can't take a hit, don't be giving them out. If I had done that in the first place, maybe you would have listened to me and you would've been a better girlfriend," He took a couple of steps towards me and I took some back to create space "You're coming with me Ana," He said.

I backed away from him and bumped into my floor lamp... there was a button you step on to turn it on and off, I can signal Sawyer and pray to damn God that he will see it. I started pressing the button on and off making the lamp flash.

"Stupid bitch!" Jack shouted and came towards me but I ran out of the way.

I threw the curtains open and looked out the window to see Sawyer getting out of the car and coming towards the building. Good. He would be here and he can get rid of Jack... Christian is not going to let me hear the end of this.

Jack grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me towards him just as Sawyer came running in the door with his gun raised. Jack put me in front of him so Sawyer couldn't shoot and then got his own gun out of the waistband of his jeans; he held it to my head and wrapped one arm around me so I couldn't get away.

"Are you ok Ms Steele?" Sawyer asked and I nodded.

"Ms Steele?" Jack laughed "Her name is Ana," He stated.

"It's just part of the job... we always call them by their surname," Sawyer replied "I have called for backup and they will be here in less than two minutes. You can't get out of here with Ana, if you leave now on your own you might get a little head start but not with her," Sawyer told him.

"I'm not leaving her here. Me and Ana have some things to discuss." He turned his gun on Sawyer "Just me and Ana." He added and fired the gun.

Jack shot at Sawyer! Is Sawyer hurt? Did he really call for backup? How did Jack get in the building? What is Christian going to say when he finds out what happened? There are so many questions and you are just going to have to come back for the next chapter to find out the answers to them. Please don't hate me for leaving it there!
