Chapter 16

They returned to the ship as the sun was setting on the horizon. They all returned to their rooms. Darjeeling got out of the shower and put on her night clothes. She sat on her couch and started looking through the channels on the T.V. After she found something to watch she went to the small kitchen and grabbed one of the scones out of the container she had them in, she then warmed up some tea and sat back down on her couch. She finished the show she was watching and headed to her bed.

As she laid down, she started to think about Kay and how, if they had a relationship, they would make it work. As she continued to think she felt herself move a hand down between her legs. She then immediately tried to shake the feeling off but it didn't go away. She inserted two fingers and slowly started to move them in and out. She picked up her pace and soon felt herself tighten up. As she neared her climax, she started to quietly moan and whispered Kay's name unintentionally. After a few more minutes she came. When she finished she was out of breath and her body was dotted with sweat. She was too tired to take another shower or change clothes. She fell asleep pretty quickly after that, still dreaming about Kay.

Over at the Saunders ship Kay was in her dorm getting ready for bed. She thought about texting Darjeeling but decided to give her the space she asked for. She decided to watch some television. She got a can of soda and sat on her couch and started the show she was going to watch. Naomi knocked on her door.

"Come in." She replied

"Good evening commander."

"What do you want at this hour, it's almost midnight."

"I just want to ask you something."

"Here, have a seat." Kay said as she sat up on her couch. "What is it?"

"Do you actually like Darjeeling?"

"What kind of question is that? Of course I actually have feelings for her. I wouldn't have tried this hard if I didn't"

"Alright. I am just saying if this is one of your games you like to play then you should tell her."

"It's not one of those games, Naomi, I actually like her. I just don't know how she actually feels about me."

"Based on the few interactions I've seen you two together. I would say she likes you as well. I can also tell she doesn't know how to express those feelings yet."

"When did you become so knowledgeable in this kind of stuff?"

"Don't know. Anyway, good night commander."

"Good night Naomi."

Kay continued to watch her show. After she finished an episode she decided to head to bed. She laid down and was holding back the urge to text Darjeeling. The girl she tried so hard to get and spend time with finally opened up her feelings to her and yet she still had to wait. She thought about it for a bit and put her phone on the stand next to her and fell asleep.

The next few days passed by fairly quickly and Kay still had not heard anything from Darjeeling. Kay woke up the next morning and checked her phone. She had a text from Darjeeling. "I am sorry for blowing you off for the past few days, I honestly have been trying to focus on school and tankery. Do you have anything going on Friday?"

Kay looked at her phone and smiled at the question. "I still have practice in the afternoon, but after that I am free."

"Could you come over to the ship?"

"Are you asking me out? If so I'm flattered."

"I'm sorry, This is my first time doing this."

"Darjeeling, it's fine. You also realize that the weather is getting colder?"

"Yes I have, it's almost winter. It will be kind of cool on Friday so wear something warm."

"Guess I will see you Friday."

"Yep. Also please wear something sorta nice."

"Like a dress or just some nice clothes? Because I honestly don't own a dress"

"No not a dress, just some nice clothes. I have an idea for a date. I hope it works."

"Alright"

As she put her phone down she headed to her first class. The day went by about as slow as it normally does for Kay, but right now she was not too focused on her classes. When lunch rolled around Naomi asked her what was going on.

"Sorry, I've just been thinking about Friday"

"What's going on Friday?" Alissa asked

"I'm going on a date" Kay replied

"Is it with her?"

"What is wrong with Darjeeling?"

"She doesn't seem like your type."

"Whatever." Kay said to the giggling Alissa

Naomi chimed in "Do you have something that isn't your Tanker jacket and a white t-shirt?"

"Hey this is a classic. But I do have a nice shirt."

"Good. What time Friday?"

"After practice."

"Well we have 2 days until then. So focus on classes and practice." Naomi mentioned, "Speaking of which. It's that time of day."
