The Concert of the Furry Felines
It was that Saturday when the Concert of the Furry Felines would take place at the Sesame Street Theater. The Furry Felines are a group of talking animals from the family Felidae. They are famous for going on many adventures and having concerts for children and adults that consist of nursery rhymes. Currently, the Furry Felines were working with the fabulous and famous Mother Goose to plan out the concert for the month of May. Professor Paws, an African Lion, was in charge of the planning along with his co-worker, a leopard named Professor Leah.
"What's the plan, Paws?" Leah asked.
"The plan is to perform these songs and acts for the children and adults coming to the concert tonight." Paws responded.
The other members of the Furry Felines then came along to the meeting Professor Paws was holding. Among the group was a family of four tigers going by the names of Bangle, Stripes, Sitri, and Beleth. Bangle, being the oldest and biggest of the family, alerted Paws that a new member was coming to the Furry Felines. Llyan was his name, and like Professor Paws, he was both a professor and a skilled warrior. Paws was shocked at the news. Eager to meet this new member, he excused himself to see Llyan.
"You must be Professor Paws if I am not mistaken." Llyan said.
"And what is your name?" Paws asked.
"My name is Professor Llyan. I have heard a lot about you from some dear friends of mine." Llyan said. "Please, believe me, noble lion."
"I'm not a noble professor, but I will believe you, Llyan." Paws said.
"Perfect." Llyan said. Then, without warning, Sitri came alongside her twin brother, Stripes.
"Professor Paws," Sitri spoke, "someone in a yellow cape is here to see you."
"Huh? Who could that be?" Paws asked himself. "Mother Goose, please watch all of the Furry Felines for me until I make my return."
"Understood, Professor Paws." Mother Goose said. Paws then left for the exit, only to find out that Greil was standing there.
"Are you who I think you are?" Greil asked.
"What are you talking about?" Paws asked Greil.
"Are you Professor Paws, commander of the Furry Felines?" Greil asked.
"I am. And you are who?" Paws asked.
"The name's Greil, commander of the Greil Mercenaries once known as the Rider of Daein, General Gawain." Greil introduced. "But forget the second part. I threw that name away."
"Oh, I know you. You're the one who is sitting up front during our concert tonight." Paws said. "So, how can I help you today?"
"You wouldn't happen to secure reserved seats at this concert tonight, would you?" Greil kindly asked Paws.
"Sure. I'd be happy to secure reserved seats." Paws said. "But for whom are these seats for?"
"These seats are for my mercenaries and a friend of mine." Greil said. "So, to put it straight with you, that's seventeen people sitting in the front row tonight at your concert, Professor Paws."
"I see." Paws said. "Well, then, I'll have someone secure your seats for you immediately."
"Thank you, Professor." Greil said as he thanked Paws. He then went back to the Furry Arms Hotel and told every single one of his mercenaries and Volke that seats would be reserved. Paws then went back to work.
"Everything okay, Professor?" Bangle asked.
"Bangle, we'll need you to go to the Sesame Street Theater to secure seventeen seats for the Greil Mercenaries and a friend of theirs." Paws ordered Bangle.
"Sure thing, Professor Paws. I'm on the case." Bangle said. Bangle then went to the theater with Simba, a domestic ragdoll cat. Together, they would reserve the seats for the Greil Mercenaries.
It was 4:00 PM. The Concert of the Furry Felines was in three hours. Back with the Greil Mercenaries, they were preparing to go to Charlie's Restaurant for dinner. Greil then asked if everyone was ready to go.
"We're ready, Greil." Titania said.
"I'm glad to see that all of you are well-prepared." Greil said. "Now let's go before the concert starts." When Greil and his mercenaries got to Charlies Restaurant, he was shocked that Grover was going to be their waiter. "Does he work everywhere?" Greil thought.
"I really think he does, Commander." Titania said. "I saw him at a local supermarket working as almost… everything." Suddenly, Grover came to their table.
"Welcome to Charlie's Restaurant, sir. Are you ready to order?" Grover later asked.
"Uh, you guys ready?" Greil asked his mercenaries.
"Tell him to surprise us. I'd like to try new foods, Father." Ike said.
"Grover, please, surprise all of us with healthy dinners." Greil said. "And, for my son, surprise him with steak and ribs." Greil later whispers.
"So, you want the surprise dinners, sir?" Grover asked.
"Yes, please." Greil responded.
"Coming right up, sir!" Grover said as he ran to the kitchen.
"I hope this food is good." Soren said. "I am a very picky eater."
"I'm sure you'll be fine, Soren." Ike said to Soren.
A few minutes later, the food arrived at the big table the Greil Mercenaries were sitting at. Greil happen to get a bowl of Russian soup called Borscht while Grover brought out a big mushroom soup dish with cream in it. Then, Valentin got a simple cheese pizza with spaghetti.
"Worldwide dishes, huh, Grover?" Greil asked.
"Yup. Today happens to be World Wide Day at Charlie's, so we are serving dishes from around the world." Grover said.
"That sounds cool." Samantha said. "Brother, what do you think?"
"I think it's wonderful." Ross said.
"I will bring out our other dishes now." Grover said.
"Great, Grover." Greil said.
When Grover came back out with Ike's ribs and steaks, he also came back with Ross and Samantha's dishes. They both got Paska, which was also known as Easter Bread. Titania then got a plate of meatballs with chicken kyiv on a separate plate. Then, without warning, Soren tried a piece of pizza from Valentin's plate.
"Why does this taste like Papa John's Pizza?" Soren thought.
"Not sure. I'm thinking the same thing." Valentin said. Then, without warning, Miklan showed up while holding Elmo's blanket. He escaped Oscar the Grouch's trash can!
"Dad, why's Miklan here?" Mist asked Greil.
"He's probably here to cause trouble." Greil thought.
"Oh, no… not Miklan Gautier…" Grover said as he brought out the other dishes for the Greil Mercenaries.
"Help!" a woman sitting at a four-seat table said. "Miklan's here!" Then, Sylvain, Miklan's Crest-bearing brother, came into the restaurant as a superhero.
"Never fear, The Great Sylvain is here!" Sylvain said.
"Looks like that Crest-bearing fool turned himself into a superhero." Miklan thought. "If only he were a grouch to everyone like I am."
"Shut up, Miklan!" Sylvain hollered. "Oh, and by the way, McDonalds's food is not allowed inside Charlie's."
"I don't care at all." Miklan said. Then, Byleth came into the restaurant to scram Miklan out. As Miklan ran away from him, Byleth snatched Elmo's blanket form Miklan and went to find Elmo to return the blanket before the Concert of the Furry Felines started. But without warning, Elmo walked into the restaurant with Zoe.
"Blanket!" Elmo hollered. "Thank you, Byleth. Elmo doesn't know what to say to you."
"You're welcome, Elmo." Byleth said back. Both of them later left the restaurant before the Greil Mercenaries finished the food on their table. Then, it was about 5:00 PM when they left the restaurant.
It was 6:55 PM. It was almost time for the Concert of the Furry Felines to begin. Greil packed up the tickets and started to lead his company and Volke to the Sesame Street Theater. The doorman of the theater was none other than the owner of the Furry Felines, Miss Trouterson. She was in charge of what Professor Paws and the Furry Felines do.
"Bangle, one of our top tigers of the Furry Felines, has reserved seats in the front row for you, Commander Greil." Miss Trouterson said.
"Thank you, ma'am." Greil said. He, Volke, and the mercenaries later walked into the theater to be guided to their seats. Over 1000 people were already in the theater. Then, the concert started.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, monsters and animals, we welcome you to the Concert of the Furry Felines!" the announcer said. "And here is your host of our show, Professor Paws!"
"How's it going, everyone?" Professor Paws asked as everyone applauded. "We've got acts and songs for you so well-done by our group. We hope you find our performance pleasing. And now, we present our first original song we have written. It's known as 'The Tiger and the Clock'."
Then, the concert began. Every tiger that was apart of the Furry Felines began to perform their respective dances. And Stripes and Sitri were the lead singers of the song. Then, it was time for the next number to begin.
"How's everyone doing so far out there?" Paws asked. "Now our next number is one of our longest numbers. Not having a name of its own, we always liked calling it 'Cat War'. Simba, our ragdoll cat, and Ebony, our shadow cat, will be leading this number. Take it away, guys." The number then began to start.
By 8:00 PM, the Concert of the Furry Felines ended with a bunch of confetti falling from the sky accompanied by fireworks. Everyone soon left with a bunch of merchandise from the Furry Felines.
"THAT was a great concert, wasn't it, Commander Greil?" Soren asked.
"It was awesome." Greil said. "I especially liked the Ballad of Professor Paws."
"But it's getting late. It's best that we head back to the hotel and get some rest so that we're ready for the big rodeo your attending, Commander." Ike said.
"You're right, Ike. I'd better get some sleep." Greil said. Everyone then went back to the hotel and later got the proper sleep they needed.
