Damn. Lilith was right. She shoved her spells back into her backpack. "And I won't give up until Eda is free." she held up her fists. Then ran towards the older witch in raging determination.

Lilith backed up. She wasn't prepared for this kind of wrath. She held her staff up as the human went to kick her. She noticed how tears brimmed her eyes. How she couldn't just let her get away with it. "I said leave."

The human panted heavily as she was pushed off like the first time. No, she wasn't running out of resources. She could make magic out of anything. She had done an ice spell with snow. A light spell with a wall. She wasn't going to back down just yet. She narrowed her eyes. Maybe she could get Lilith's staff away from her. Where the hell was Eda's staff? "No way. I'm not giving up on Eda." She narrowed her eyes slightly. She had to make a move now. She tapped a spell on her hand, creating a ball of fire. Luz rushed towards Lilith.

The ball of fire pushed Lilith's staff out of her hands. "You're a horrible person." She said slowly. Just because she only knew four spells, well that didn't make her weak in the least. She jumped back. Lilith's staff was in her possession.

No staff was the same. This one had a different feel to it.

She placed a hand on her hip. "Where's Eda?"

"Human," Lilith began. She was surprised what this human had in her. It was really impressive. If she knew about this human earlier, she would of taken this human under her wing instead of Amity. "Do you really think you can defeat me? If you do think that, you are very much mistaken. She smiled a little bit. The witch simply dismissed her question.

"Don't make me hurt you."

"Hah. You can't hurt me. You barely know anything. I'm sure the Emperor would be pleased with a trouble-making human."

Luz didn't know what Lilith was getting at. It was kind of scary. She ignored her words. A determined look crossed her face. Lilith was avoiding her question of Eda's whereabouts. Too much talk. Not enough action. She rushed towards the older witch. "You cursed your own sister. Have you ever wondered what kind of pain you've put your own sister through? Or are you that selfish to face your mistakes?"

That seemed to stop Lilith for a brief moment. A saddened look struck her face. "Human, I did this all for her. I wanted her to join the Emperor's Coven because we were close." she looked around. "Come. I don't want to talk about this here."

Was this some kind of trap? Because when her body was swapped, Lilith seemed so caring. To hear the older witch scream those words haunted her.

THEN WHY WAS IT SO EASY TO CURSE YOU?!

Luz couldn't trust a word that came from her. Why had she gotten sad all of a sudden. Was this some kind of ploy? With caution though, she followed the other witch.

Underneath that mask, the Emperor smiled. It was a more wicked smile. A cruel smile that his followers would of questioned him.

The owl beast kept whimpering in pain, but never gave in to what he wanted.

He snapped his fingers, causing Eda to be able to speak through the beast. With her normal eyes that were no longer blackened.

"Emperor Belois? Great." she muttered. "I got caught." Years of running and she honestly didn't regret what she had done.

"I could easily lift that curse from you." he started.

"Yeah? I'm not gonna take that from you."

"Ah, ah." he raised his hand up again. "You didn't allow me to finish. If you agree to my terms, I'll let the human girl go unharmed." it was a bluff. To witness Eda sacrifice herself for this human, well he wasn't going to attempt something psychological like that. After all of this time, it had gotten what he wanted.

"What? What does my human Luz have to do with this?" locked away in chains, she couldn't do much.

He turned her back on her. His fingertips gently grazed against each other. "It's just a little proposition, you see. As we speak, Lilith is fighting with Luz." he rolled his eyes. "Come to be your hero. How.." he paused. "Sickening."

Eda knew Luz was like this. Always putting herself in danger, but this time, she couldn't come and save her. "I swear if you hurt her, I'll-"

"You are in a position where you can't threaten me, owl lady. Agree to my terms and the human girl will be unharmed."

She narrowed her eyes at him. It was hard to tell what this guy was feeling. She felt shivers whenever she was around him. Something felt just off about him. And she didn't like it one bit. Was there no other option? Was Lilith hurting...NO. Lilith never cared about her. She only cared about herself. All this talk to get her into this coven was just a way she wanted to control Eda. All the pain she went through because her sister didn't have her way. "I don't know what you want from me," she began. "Whatever it is, I won't be apart of."

"Wrong answer." he said. The emperor got into her face. His eyes voided like a black hole that stared into someone's soul even if they didn't have one. "You're going to regret this, Edalyn Clawthorne." he held his staff in one hand, slamming it on the ground.

A pained cry came from Eda and echoed through the castle. This was a reminder that the Emperor didn't take no as an answer.
