A/N Hey guys! Long time no read, lol. So first things first, sorry this is so short. I promise the next chapter will be longer.
I'm trying to at least update a chapter a day for each story. I was succeeding until yesterday but unfortunately fate had other plans for me but I was determined to at least get something out today for this story so I can move on to the next one. Hence it being short.
Either way, I hope you all still enjoy it. I appreciate all the recent reviews I got for the other stories I just updated. You all are so sweet and amazing as well as generous. It means so much that your hanging in there with me. I appreciate all of the reviews, favs, and follows. they keep me writing.
I'm going to finish this guys. I'm determined. I hope you stay determined to continue taking the time to read them as well. Anyway, thanks for reading. Happy Holidays and I hope you enjoy.
I don't own anything affiliated with glee.
Blaine grunted as he tripped falling face first into the mud. He tried to scramble to his feet in fear but the snow and mud made it difficult for him to maintain balance.
They were being hunted once again and he was losing steam.
Finn was already carrying Emma and his pack and god bless him Blaine had no idea how Finn was doing it but he was.
Blaine had been ahead of Finn before he tripped. Blaine whimpered as he heard the piercing sound similar to an eagle behind him.
"BLAINE! GET UP!" Finn shouted as he ran pass.
Blaine fought against the moist cold ground up on to his feet. He watched as Finn covered ground ahead of him.
He cried and ducked when the large massive beast dove for him, his body felt the strong gust of wind created by the beasts' massive body.
However; when nothing happened he lifted his head fearfully. It took him a moment but than he realized it kept running pass him, in the direction Finn had ran with Emma.
He stumbled to his feet as fear gripped him. He grabbed the closest thick wood that his hands could handle and chased after it.
Terrified that his only contact with human life. His friends. The people he considered his family, were going to get slaughtered.
He hit him then that he'd rather die trying to protect them than roam this earth alone.
He ran as fast as his legs could take him. His eyes running with tears. His thick beard and full head of hair covered in dirt and snow. His face full of wild rage as he fought against the burn of his exertion his body was screaming to catch up. However; no matter how fast he ran the beast was gaining more ground further away.
Right when he was going to leap from the lip of a small hill, he was roughly grabbed and pulled into the carcass of a rotted large tree. A hand clamping over his mouth to keep him quiet as he was pushed against the inner walls of the carcass tree.
His eyes bulged at the sight of Sam, his best friend.
Sam had tears running down his face and his smile was wide as his lips trembled.
He turned Blaine around quickly and there on the ground was a sweaty, heavily breathing Finn with Emma crying with an equally crying Tina. The two hugging tightly to each other.
Blaine turned immediately and pulled Sam into a bone crushing embrace as they too cried together after thinking the other was dead.
Beth writhes in pain as her arm feels like it's incinerating. They opened a cot to lay her in.
Bailey having to release her because she had already assisted in saving them earlier than holding Beth's pain at bay for a little over an hour had officially zapped her of her energy.
Beth thrashed wildly from her place on the cot. Her screams are ear piercing and her face is hot with sweat, as tears burn from her eyes.
The blonde's skin taking on a ghostly pale color. The rings around her eyes turning a dusted purple. Her lips began to coat with a yellowish crust, drying out any moister from her mouth.
Quinn jostles in her own pain from her leg as she fought her daughters chaotic body, doing her best to help restrain her with Caspian on the other side of Beth doing the same.
Quinn herself is in her own tears feeling completely helpless and terrified that this would be the moment.
This would be the last time she ever would hold her daughter if Rachel didn't get back in time.
Mercedes screams in agony as she struggles in pain. Her hand having been struck by a much smaller, sharper version of the boomerang they using duck away from when they try to run away.
The small object embedded itself into her left hand but that's not all it embedded in.
The tree Mercedes had been cowered against on her knees, is now aiding in stopping any chance she has at escaping with the small steel boomerang stabbed through her hand the bark of the tree deeply.
Mike is unconscious on the floor twenty yards from her. After tripping on a wood stuck in the ground causing him to crash his head against another large fallen tree, knocking him out.
The only one still running is Santana with Maggie in her arms but just like Mike, luck wasn't on her side as she too tripped and stumbled with Maggie being thrown from her arms a couple feet from her.
The little girls screams were ear piercing as she wailed: MOOOMMMYYYY!
Santana's heart seized as adrenalin coursed through her and she grunted as she jumped to her feet running in a stumble to get to her daughter.
"NO! GET AWAY FROM HER!" Santana screamed as the large demon bounded toward the little girl.
Santana reached her first, scooping her up but that was the only second she had as the large demon dogs' opened it's beak like mouth, descending upon them.
"SANTANAAAAA!" Mercedes screamed with wide petrified eyes.
Santana turned her body over, shielding her baby girl the best she could in her last moment of effort to protect the one she loves.
Just then the ground shook as something dropped hard and solid three feet in front of them.
Santana turned her head in time to watch the large beak be clasped in a death grip so strong, the beast let a painful screech when the tip of it's beak was crushed in it's enemies hands.
While simultaneously a explosion of sound so reminiscent to the greatest lion roar Santana has ever heard erupted in the face of the demon dog.
Santana's eyes were wide as she watched a large beast with wings of an angel but the tail of a lion lift the dog beast, suspending it in to the air before throwing it across at least a hundred yards in one swift motion.
The body of the hell dog crashing rows of trees to the ground by the blow of it's body.
The beast with wings whipped around to Santana and Santana gasped in shock because this beast didn't look like the others.
The beast looked human except it's eyes were gold and it had fangs like a vampire would and the build of something like a human like gargoyle.
It's body was large and strong and Santana may or may not have found this female beast, based off the fact it had a full set of breast, attractive.
"GO! NOW! SAVE YOUR FRIENDS!" The beasts semi deep but some how feminine voice bellowed.
Santana didn't need to be told twice. She ran toward Mercedes and Mike still glancing behind her in disbelief that she really did see what she just saw and that whatever that thing was just let them go.
That it just saved them.
Rachel leaped into the air flying straight for the hell dog she injured, being sure to finish the job so it wouldn't come back for Quinn's friends.
Under normal circumstances she wouldn't have stopped.
She would have let them be caught but the ear piercing scream of a child hit her ears on her way back to the cave and her heart wouldn't let her.
Upon closer inspection, seeing they were Quinn and Beth's group she couldn't go on without helping them.
Which brings her to now as she grips the beasts beak and pulls with all her might, doing as Bailey had. Removing the cap of the head from it's jaw, killing it instantly but also making her even more late back to the cave to save Beth.
Beth's finally awake and Rachel along with Bailey helps her heal.
Mr. Shue, Mr. and Mrs. Lopez along with Kurt run into Mercedes, Mike, and Santana
Rachel explains to Quinn and Beth what's really going on
